We are ass deep in the Middle East and it looks like it will be for a very long time……..maybe it is time for Americans, especially my readers, to get acquainted with the people that we are interacting with in this struggle.
Since 2003 there have been stories of a people in the Middle East, the Kurds…….but what do you know about these people?
They are in the news daily…….that is when we actually get news of the Middle East………and yet little is known about these people and why they are so vital to the fight against ISIS…….
They are a force against ISIS but are not allies to the entire coalition…..Turkey for one wants to control and dominate…………

Indeed, from a contemporary perspective. I have to now learn their history. Do you know their origins?
If I recall my lesson from years ago….the Kurds originated in or around the Caucusus with language similar to Persian (Iran)…….will that help?
I will be writing more about the Kurds as I can get some research done……fascinating the situation today…..
