6,000 Airstrikes in Iraq and Syria: A Look At the Numbers – ABC News

For over a year we have been hitting ISIS with everything we have from the air……….and what has it accomplished?

Let’s look at the numbers shall we?

Now ask yourself……has it been money well spent?

Where Have All The Christians Gone?

I do enjoy a good debate but these Righties just cannot provide on.  I recall when there was first word that ISIS was targeting Christians and the call went out of this dastardly deed and that all Christians should rise up.

I also remember when a Christian chapel was fire bombed by Jewish extremists in the Occupied Territories and there was not a word from the same people that were up in arms over the ISIS thing……

Please one of the religious types explain this for me.

But I digress…..my main point is that we are so worried about those darn rapist immigrants crossing over from Mexico that we are abandoning the Christians that we were suppose to protect (according to the religious types)……

Say What?

This from our ‘friends’ at FOX news……..

Just a few miles from the U.S.-Mexican border, the descendants of one of the oldest Christian communities in the world wait to be delivered from purgatory.

They came from Iraq and say they only want to practice their faith, free from the threat of ISIS. But for several months, 28 Chaldean Christians have had to pray behind the barbed wire fences of San Diego’s Otay Detention Facility, captives of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency and facing deportation. A dozen have already been ticketed for removal.

“In Iraq, they only had three choices: convert to Islam, death by the sword or leave the country,” said Mark Arabo, head of the Minority Humanitarian Foundation. “They’ve refused to convert, escaped slavery and death – only to be imprisoned by our broken immigration system.

“These aren’t people who woke up one day and said, ‘Let me walk to America.’ They were forced out of their homes because of our inaction in the region. Because of our troop withdrawal. These are people who were sentenced to death because of our involvement in the country.”

They escaped near-certain death, but not the U.S. court system.

Are these some of the criminals and rapists that we are hearing so much about these days?

Wait I know….they really are ISIS pretending to be Christians to get into the US…….

Will the “Christian” nation (I use the term loosely) of America turn its back on these people?  It is not unlike what we have done before…..with the Montayard (sp?) in Vietnam…..interpreters in Iraq and Afghanistan…..we do not have a very good track record of helping those that helped us……

Is Israel Doing The Right Thing?

An interesting occurrence has taken place in the Holy Land but as usual it has been drowned out by idiotic presidential BS from candidates and the violence taking place in Ferguson, Missouri (which needs reporting)…….

Allow me to explain……a few days ago while a Palestinian family was relaxing some threw a fire bomb into the house and killed a 18 month old baby and the father and the rest of the family with burns……..it was later reported that this deed was carried out by Jewish extremists or settlers if you will……a call then went out for something to be done to curb this reoccurring violence……..and Israel reacted…….

Israel intensified its crackdown on Jewish extremists today, jailing two high-profile ultranationalist Israelis for six months without charge and arresting additional suspects in West Bank settlements. The crackdown comes after a deadly July 31 firebomb attack that killed an 18-month-old Palestinian boy and severely wounded his parents and brother. The father died yesterday. Authorities called the attack an act of “Jewish terrorism,” and Israel’s Security Cabinet approved the use of harsh measures, including administrative detention, which allows the holding of suspects for lengthy periods without charge. Meir Ettinger, the grandson of the late US-born ultranationalist Rabbi Meir Kahane, and Eviatar Slonim, another Jewish extremist, were placed under administrative detention for their suspected involvement, the office of Israel’s Defense Minister said.

The two are in their early 20s. Another suspected Jewish extremist, Mordechai Mayer, was placed under administrative detention. Israeli human rights activists, as well as lawyers for the Israeli suspects, criticized the use of administrative detention, portraying it as a draconian measure intended to appease a shocked Israeli public. “This measure is dangerous…for the entire legal system and for democracy,” said Aharon Rozeh, a lawyer for Ettinger and Slonim. Israel’s Shin Bet security agency has accused Ettinger of leading an extremist Jewish movement responsible for encouraging attacks on Palestinian property and Christian holy sites. Israeli authorities also carried out raids today in two West Bank settlement outposts. An Israeli police rep said only that the arrests were connected to “a number of events that occurred recently” in the West Bank.

I think it is great that Israel has finally decided that this type of violence needs to stop……but is it a legit action on their part or are they just trying to silence international condemnation of their past tactics like Gaza and the illegal search of the Flotillas?

I really thought that the MSM would pick up this because it is a favorable light for Israel…….something the MSM seems to feel they must do…..

Is Israel doing this for the right reason or is it just an attempt to gain some sort of favor among their critics?

2016: The Foreign Policy Election

I know…..I know…..I harp on this subject a lot…..but look at the record…..the US will be engaging in war from now until the rapture (if you believe that sort of nonsense)……so foreign policy is as important as any of the other issues that few want to speak of…….

The media has coined this upcoming election of 2016 as the “foreign policy” election….simply because the world stage is where so many decisions will be made by the next president.

I will attempt to show my readers why some of the candidates are NOT presidential material………there will be more posts along this line as I find more information about the candidates and their international policies………

This one is about Scott Walker, the governor of Wisconsin.  Some say that he is a good bet in the primaries basically because of his handling of the state of Wisconsin…..but I want to look deeper into his ideas of international situations…….

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker cited a man in the crowd named Kevin Hermening as a formative influence on his foreign policy thinking. Hermening, a former U.S. Marine who was held hostage during the 1979 Iranian revolution, is a longtime friend of Walker, and has been described in press reports as “the face of Walker’s foreign policy.” The governor has repeatedly cited Hermening as a major influence on his worldview, including his opposition to the Obama administration’s recent nuclear deal with Iran.

Walker’s choice of Hermening as a foreign policy counselor raises serious questions about Walker’s understanding of the issues. Hermening has publicly advocated conducting nuclear strikes against the capital cities of Muslim-majority countries, as well as the mass deportation of undocumented immigrants, particularly those of “Middle Eastern descent” from the United States.

In 2001, Hermening wrote an op-ed in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel calling for a response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks that would include “the destruction of the capitals of Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Sudan and Yemen,” unless the governments of those countries unequivocally agreed to help kill Osama bin Laden. “Every military response must be considered, including the use of nuclear weapons,” he wrote. In his commentary Hermening also called upon the United States to erect security fences “along the entire perimeter of the United States,” as well as deport “every illegal alien and immigrant, with a focus on removing those of Middle Eastern descent.”

That alone should disqualify this person……..the American president has to deal with a wide array of situations that will pop up around the globe and thisd type of thinking will do NOTHING to make the planet a safer place…..which by the way is the duty of a president….although few have done so in the last 100 years.

Then there is much said (especially by me) the candidate with the most to say…….Lindsey Graham……..of course rhetoric is just slogans of red meat for the idiots on the Right….he seems to think that the US would win the war……..but here is a thought, a historic thought,  for him

Hawkish pols have a tendency to harken back to the late 1930s exclusively, but one need only look to the eve of World War I (to the Czar in Russia and the German Kaiser, say) to see that two countries can and do fight wars that both end up losing.

A war between US and Iran will have NO winner and it will not prevent the development of a nuke by Iran…….

Then there is the idiot of the Right, Tom Cotton, he hails from Arkansas the state that gave us Huckabee…..need I say more?

One of the Republican Senators railing against the P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran, Sen. Tom Cotton spoke to Israeli reporters today endorsing the idea of a US military strike, saying he believes the US could easily “send Iran back to day one” on its civilian nuclear program by wiping everything out.

Sen. Cotton went on to downplay the seriousness of a war with Iran, saying he believes it would be quick and easy, likening it to the 1998 US attack on neighboring Iraq, a four-day bombing campaign based on faulty US claims of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

This babbling idiot is wrong, as usual…….the 1998 strikes were not the success that they seem to think it ways……why?

Cotton is one of several US Senators touting the 1998 strike as a model, despite that attack resting on faulty claims, and the US turning around just five years later and launching a much bigger, and much more disastrous war on Iraq on the exact same pretext.

I would be more afraid of this type of thinking than of Iran maybe getting a bomb 20 years down the road…….keep in mind all these people have never once thought about the US troops that will have carry out any lame ass plan…….the same troops that these conservs turn their back on when benefits are needed but have NO problem using them as a political prop for re-election…….Israel will spend whatever they have to to change the minds of the American people through ads that are misinformation and outright LIES!

We have enough situations where we must use force….time to start looking for ways to lessen our footprint in the Middle East.

An illustrated history of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombings – Washington Post

This month we recognize the dropping of the very first nuclear devices on Japan……..an act that gave way to the Nuclear Age and the rush to supremacy in the Cold War……..

But what do YOU know about the situation….the bombs, the people, the results…..what do you know?

Every American should read everything written about this act…..so that we NEVER do it again!

The Liberation of US Foreign Policy by Justin Raimondo — Antiwar.com

I have been a critic of American foreign policy for years…..I do not think that the best interests of the people are being considered when they jump into disastrous situations…..

During all those years I have said that a new foreign policy needs to be formulated and that the “Cold War” mentality is not doing the world any good.

Is there a possibility that the Iran deal could be a turning point in our foreign policy?
