The Idiot Right Assigns Blame

I had written that I was waiting for the Lunatic Right to offer some condemnation of the morons that overran the Capitol in the protests in favor of Trump and his lies about the election.

I did not really think they would offer any condemnation….and that they would assign blame for the violence in the police line breach on 06 January……and now they are talking and they are blaming the usual suspects….

In the wake of Wednesday’s violence in Washington, a new narrative has emerged on the right about what happened. It boils down to this: Don’t blame us, blame the far-left activists of antifa. The accusation is that members of the latter group infiltrated pro-Trump protests and turned them violent. Coverage:

  • House floor: The allegation gained wide traction Wednesday night when GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz declared on the House floor, “Some of the people who breached the Capitol today were not Trump supporters. They were masquerading as Trump supporters, and in fact were members of the violent terrorist group antifa.” Vox notes that Gaetz’s assertion was met with audible boos in the chamber.
  • The source: Gaetz mentioned an article in the right-leaning Washington Timesthat quotes a retired military officer. The unnamed officer says facial-recognition software identified at least two of the protesters who entered the Senate as antifa members. Gaetz acknowledged he didn’t know if the report was true, but he found it “compelling.”
  • Others: “This has all the hallmarks of Antifa provocation,” tweeted GOP Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona. Republican colleague Mo Brooks seconded the claim while speaking to Lou Dobbs of Fox, per NBC News. There “could be any other number of groups, anarchists, or what have you, that could have taken advantage of this opportunity to … vandalize the United States Capitol,” he added. Sarah Palin also blamed “antifa folks.”
  • Networks: Newsmax and One America News Network picked up the theme in coverage of the violence, per Axios. Newsmax host Greg Kelly, for example, condemned the unrest, while adding, “These people don’t look like Trump supporters. Trump supporters don’t do these things,” per the Washington Post.
  • Fox hosts: “I’d like to know who the agitators were,” said Sean Hannity, per the Post. “Those who truly support President Trump … do not support those that commit acts of violence.” Fox’s Brian Kilmeade also expressed skepticism that Trump supporters were solely to blame. Laura Ingraham: “I have never seen Trump rally attendees wearing helmets, black helmets, brown helmets, black backpacks—the uniforms you saw in some of these crowd shots.” Tucker Carlson: “We may never know the truth here,” he said. “I keep seeing all kinds of accounts of who they were and what their motives might have been.”
  • On the other hand: The Postnotes that many Trump supporters openly boasted of breaching the Capitol, even livestreaming it. The take of Jerusalem Demsas of Vox: “(A)t present, there is no evidence that there are members of antifa who were a part of this crowd. However, there is ample evidence that prominent Trump supporters and members of QAnon were present during the illegal takeover of the building.”

First, Tucker Carlson is an rabid idiot.

Trump supporters do not do things like this?

Where has that fool been for 4 years?

Antifa?

Really….all those MAGA hats and Trump flags….kinda tells a different story.

Typical excuses for a Trump supporter……

And you really think this type of silliness will soon be over?

NOT ON YOUR LIFE!

The crap has not really hit the fan yet….but fear not….IT WILL!

Day Of Infamy Arrives!

Let The Stupidity Begin!

The day most anticipated by the MSM for they could analyze it to death while accomplishing little…..I called it a circus and I was not mistaken….those GOP clowns do know how to look more moronic by the day.

All the proposed antics and sedition that the GOP had promised over the election begun yesterday…..and it did not fail to produce the stupid that is the GOP and its supporters.

The joint session of Congress began at 1200 hrs ET and from the very beginning the stupid antics from the GOP……

The joint session of the House and Senate convened Wednesday to count the Electoral College votes, and within 15 minutes the first objection was logged: Republicans objected to election tally in Arizona to lengthy applause in the chamber, forcing votes in the House and Senate on Joe Biden’s victory in the state. The chambers broke off to separately debate the objection, but both chambers abruptly went into recess when pro-Trump protesters stormed the Capitol building. More:

  • The AP reports the Arizona objection was made by Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar and signed by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. The Arizona Republic reports Gosar said his objection had the signatures of 60 of his colleagues. As for Biden’s win in the state, he took it by more than 10,000 votes. Eight lawsuits challenging his win there have failed.
  • During the Arizona debate in the Senate, Mitch McConnell issued a rebuke of the Republican challenge. CNN quotes him as saying, “This will be the most important vote I’ve ever cast. … If this election were overturned by mere allegations from the losing side, our democracy would enter a death spiral. We’d never see our country accept an election again. Every four years would be a scramble for power. At any cost.”
  • In his argument, which he said more generally applied to all the states that would be challenged Wednesday, Sen. Cruz push for Congress to delay action for a 10-day period during which an emergency electoral commission would be able to conduct audits and investigations related to the selected states. NPR reports Cruz noted there was precedent, which is true: Amid accusations of fraud, a commission of five members of each chamber and five Supreme Court justices did this following the 1876 election that pitted Rutherford B. Hayes against Samuel Tilden. NPR, however, explains there are “crucial differences” between the two situations; read about them here.
  • Roughly an hour before the much-awaited joint session of Congress began, President Trump began addressing a Washington, DC, rally in his favor, and put forth the assertion he has long made: He won. The Washington Post has select remarks: “We will never give up. We will never concede. It doesn’t happen. You don’t concede when there’s theft involved,” a reference to fraudulent vote counts. “We won this election, and we won it by a landslide. This was not a close election.”

Alabama and Alaska were won by Trump–no challenge and then Arizona was next up and the bullshit began…..

The Senate was gaveled back into session shortly after 8pm, about six hours after pro-Trump protesters forced them to flee the Capitol. “Let’s get back to work,” Vice President Mike Pence told senators after condemning the day’s violence, per ABC News. The House also returned, with the goal of finishing the task of certifying the electoral college results in a matter of hours. “Violence never wins,” Pence said from the dais, reports the Washington Post. “Freedom wins. And this is still the people’s house.”

The first order of business was to finish up debating the challenge already raised to Arizona’s results, and the Senate overwhelmingly rejected the objection in a 93-6 vote. The AP notes that those 6 votes came from Republicans, but noted other GOP senators (it names Steve Daines of Montana, Mike Braun of Indiana, and Kelly Loeffler of Georgia) who had indicated they would join them changed their minds after the storming of the Capitol. The House followed suit, 303-121. It’s possible that no further challenges will emerge, or at least fewer challenges than originally planned. Sen. Josh Hawley indicated he would object to the Electoral College results in Pennsylvania as he previously said he would.

A riddle–what is 1000s strong and has the IQ of 10?

Easy–a Trump rally!

The rabid throngs of morons rush the Capitol and breached the police line and entered the building….

The certification of the election results Wednesday came to an abrupt and shocking halt amid scenes of chaos after pro-President Trump protesters stormed the Capitol building. The House and Senate sessions debating an objection to Arizona’s result were gaveled out and both chambers were locked down before lawmakers were evacuated and Vice President Mike Pence, who was presiding over the joint session, and Sen. Charles Grassley, the Senate president pro tempore, were rushed to a secure location, NBC reports. It wasn’t clear when it would be possible to resume proceedings. More:

  • The New York Times reports that Sen. Mitt Romney yelled “This is what you’ve gotten, guys,” apparently addressing Republican colleagues who supported Trump’s unfounded claims that the election was stolen.
  • The Washington Post reports that the entire Washington, DC, National Guard has now been activated, a total of 1,100 guardsmen.
  • Rep. Kevin McCarthy, the top House Republican, condemned the invasion. “This is so un-American,” he said. “I could not be sadder or more disappointed at the way our country looks at this very moment. He added: “This is not the American way. This is not protected by the First Amendment. This must stop now.” Another Republican, Rep Adam Kinzinger, denounced what he called a “coup attempt.”
  • The Times reports that the chaotic scenes inside the Capitol included looting, with protesters storming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s offices and ripping photos off walls.
  • Trump tweeted a call for protesters to remain peaceful, but did not tell them to disperse, while Pence urged protesters to leave the building immediately. “The violence and destruction taking place at the US Capitol Must Stop and it Must Stop Now,” he tweeted.

There is an update to the protests…..

Wild scenes in Washington, DC: Protesters have now breached the US Capitol building, with members of Congress inside the House chamber being told by police to don gas masks from under their seats due to tear gas that had been used in the Capitol Rotunda, reports the AP. The building has been placed on lockdown, Mike Pence has been removed from the Senate chamber, and the electoral college debates have been halted, reports the Hill. More:

  • HuffPo political reporter Igor Bobic is tweeting about the chaotic scene, writing that some protesters got on scaffolding outside the Senate and used it to reach second floor windows, which they started banging on; the area looks like the area where McConnell’s office is located, he noted. He separately shared a photo of a huge Confederate flag being carried outside the Senate chamber then tweeted they actually made it into the chamber. “One [protester] is up on the dais yelling ‘Trump won that election!’ This is insane,” he wrote.
  • CNN separately reported that an “armed standoff” was occurring at the House front door as of 3pm ET; the AP has a photo of police officers with their guns drawn as someone seems to attempt to breach it. The New York Times reports the door seemed to be barricaded using a desk.
  • This after hundreds of people stormed metal barricades Wednesday, the Washington Post reports. The pro-President Trump protesters, some yelling “Forward!” toppled the barricades after marching from the Ellipse following a speech from Trump. KHOU reports that Capitol Police officers in riot gear tried to hold protesters back and used pepper spray after the crowd began charging officers.
  • Around 2:30pm ET DC Mayor Muriel Bowser instituted a citywide curfew that will go info effect at 6pm and run for 12 hours.
  • Police initially evacuated at least two buildings in the Capitol complex “due to police activity” as protests raged, including the building that houses the Library of Congress, the AP reports

The tale is that a protesting woman was shot at the protests at the Capitol yesterday…..

A woman was fatally shot at the US Capitol on Wednesday as dozens of supporters of President Trump clashed with police as they stormed the building, CBS reports. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, per reports. NBC later reported that she died. The exact circumstances around the shooting are unclear, per WUSA, which reports that it occurred as Trump supporters were trying to break into the House Chamber. A tweeted video shows the gunshot victim being put into an ambulance. More than five people had been hospitalized with injuries connected to the storming of the Capitol as of Wednesday afternoon, according to CBS. Sources tell CNN that multiple Capitol Police officers were injured in the chaos and at least one has been hospitalized.

Personally, these protesters are committing sedition and every damn one of them should be arrested and charged as such.

This is treason what the GOP and its drooling morons are committing…..MAKE THEM PAY for their violation of the laws.

Secession Again?

Closing Thought–06Jan21

Keeping with the tone of the day……

WE all know about the last time parts of the US decided to secede and it did not end well for those that broke away…….and the calls for secession again became loud…..https://lobotero.com/2012/12/03/secession-fever-2/

Then the electoral college went and elected the provocateur Trump in 2016 and the calls for secession grew even louder….championed by the man elected to the office…..https://lobotero.com/2018/04/29/secession-is-still-popular/

During Trump’s tenure as president the calls for secession and civil war have grown at an alarming pace……and now that he has lost the 2020 election and he and his minions try to overturn the vote the calls again are increasing for secession the possibility of a civil war…..

Right-wing figures online are now toying with the ultimate act of resistance against Joe Biden’s win over Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election: secession and civil war. The  idea has picked up steam in the past few days, thanks to a boost it got from talk radio host and Medal of Freedom recipient Rush Limbaugh.

Limbaugh made waves on Wednesday when he said, “I actually think that we’re trending toward secession.” I see more and more people asking what in the world do we have in common with the people who live in, say, New York?”

Limbaugh also added: “I see a lot of bloggers … have written extensively about how distant and separated and how much more separated our culture is becoming politically and that it can’t go on this way. ” There cannot be a peaceful coexistence of two completely different theories of life, theories of government, theories of how we manage our affairs. We can’t be in this dire a conflict without something giving somewhere along the way.”

But after Limbaugh’s comment gained media attention, he claimed on Thursday that he was not in any sense advocating for secession or civil war. Rather, he said, he was just describing something that he’d been hearing about from others, because of how divided the country is.

https://www.mediamatters.org/rush-limbaugh/talk-secession-and-civil-war-increasing-far-right

Then there are those state senators that want to use the military to annul the election by declaring martial law…..

… two Republican state senators, Bob Steinburg of North Carolina and Amanda F. Chase of Virginia, through public Facebook posts and in subsequent interviews, have declared that President Donald Trump should suspend civil liberties and declare martial law in order to stay in power. Both state senators have repeated Trump’s baseless claims of widespread election fraud and various other right-wing conspiracies. Steinburg was reelected to the statehouse this past year, while Chase is running for governor of Virginia.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Steinburg reiterated comments made earlier this month by retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney, suggesting Trump invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807, deploy soldiers and suspend habeas corpus. In an interview with WRAL Tuesday night, Steinburg alleged he was just “putting out there options that others say still remain on the table,” although he later added that he would welcome a coup, insinuating a vast conspiracy was working against Trump.

Will these traitorous dicks get their way?

Will we have another civil war?

Or is it just cowards and the spineless venting and pouting because their dictator lost?

Think about a little American history…the Hartford Convention…..

U.S. history, a secret meeting in Hartford, Connecticut, of Federalist delegates from Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont who were dissatisfied with Pres. James Madison’s mercantile policies and the progress of the War of 1812 (“Mr. Madison’s War”), as well as long resentful over the balance of political power that gave the South, particularly Virginia, effective control of the national government.

The more extreme delegates raised the possibility of secession, but others sought only to dictate amendments to the Constitution that would protect their interests. Ultimately, the convention adopted a strong states’ rights position and expressed its grievances in a series of resolutions against military conscription and commercial regulations (along with some stringent criticisms of Madison’s administration) that were agreed to on January 4, 1815.

So you see the idea of secession of the 1850-60s is not a mew concept to Americans…

QAnon–Making Of A Cult?

There has been lots of airtime devoted to the fringe group calling themselves, QAnon……I even tried to educate my readers about the group…..https://lobotero.com/2020/08/28/qanon-wtf-is-qanon/

So there is more about this group of (insert an adjective you like here)……even the president of the United States seems to have a connection to this group……

Vice President Mike Pence and top officials from President Trump’s campaign are slated to attend a Montana fundraiser next week hosted by a couple who have expressed support for the QAnon conspiracy theory, according to an event invitation obtained by the AP and a review of social media postings. The hosts of the fundraiser, Caryn and Michael Borland, have shared QAnon memes and retweeted posts from QAnon accounts, their social media activity shows. The baseless conspiracy theory posits that Trump is fighting entrenched enemies in the government and also involves satanism and child sex trafficking. Beyond Pence, the Sept. 14 fundraiser in Bozeman, Montana, is expected to draw influential figures in the president’s orbit.

They include Kimberly Guilfoyle, a top Trump fundraising official who is dating Donald Trump Jr., GOP chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, Republican National Committee finance chairman Todd Ricketts and RNC co-chairman Tommy Hicks Jr., the event invitation shows. While many Republicans have dismissed QAnon, the fundraiser is another sign of how the conspiracy theory is gaining a foothold in the party. Trump has hailed Georgia congressional candidate Marjorie Taylor Greene, another QAnon supporter, as a “future Republican star.” The president has refused to condemn QAnon, recently telling reporters that the conspiracy theory is “gaining in popularity” and that its supporters “like me very much.”

This is nothing surprising…we have known for many years about Trump’s embracing of the radical Right (for lack of a good title)…..

Is this group, QAnon, moving from fringe group to a full blown cult?

A secret cabal is taking over the world. They kidnap children, slaughter, and eat them to gain power from their blood. They control high positions in government, banks, international finance, the news media, and the church. They want to disarm the police. They promote homosexuality and pedophilia. They plan to mongrelize the white race so it will lose its essential power.

Does this conspiracy theory sound familiar? It is. The same narrative has been repackaged by QAnon.

I have studied and worked to prevent genocide for forty years. Genocide Watch and the Alliance Against Genocide, the first international anti-genocide coalition, see such hate-filled conspiracy theories as early warning signs of deadly genocidal violence.

QAnon is a Nazi Cult, Rebranded

I worry that groups like this are getting too much attention which gives them more power than they deserve.

History Of The Alt-Right

Since the last election the word of the year has been the “alt-Right”……ever growing more popular every time someone opens the mouth and spouts some crap……but where in the name of God did this bunch of half brain weasels come from?

Do you know where this crap originated?

All interesting ideas and maybe I can help the more intellectual of of my readers explain the phenom…..if that is possible.

The alt-right is likely to grow, gaining a firmer foothold in American politics (dammit)

In recent months, far-right activists — which some have labeled the “alt-right” — have gone from being an obscure, largely online subculture to a player at the very center of American politics.

Long relegated to the cultural and political fringe, alt-right activists were among the most enthusiastic supporters of Donald Trump. Earlier this year, Breitbart executive Steve Bannon declared the website “the platform for the alt-right.” By August, Bannon was appointed the CEO of the Trump campaign. In the wake of Trump’s victory, he’ll be joining Trump in the White House as a senior advisor.

Source: History of the alt-right: The movement isn’t just Breitbart and white nationalists — it’s worse – Salon.com

Please tell me It was a bit of help in this jungle of stupid we have nowadays in DC.

Did I help?

If so then we need to see that this group goes no further than the dust that will be 2017.

Closing Thought–04Oct17

Who Is The Alt-Right?

A new term that has appeared on the American political landscape…..alt-Right.

Basically is an attempt by some to give the hate mongers like KKK, Neo-Nazis, skin heads, et al a more respectable title.

Call them what we may a hate filled douche is a hate filled douche.

But if you are interested then I have a source for you…..

With the rise in public visibility of far-right-wing militants in the U.S. following the events in Charlottesville, much of the public is scrambling to understand just what this movement is and what forces are driving it. With much of the public discussing strategies for how best to fight right-wing extremism, the need for constructive solutions is greater than ever.

First and foremost, it’s important to point out that public support for far-right extremists is miniscule. The vast majority of Americans reject this movement’s violence and hatred. According to a Marist survey from the summer of 2017, just 4 percent of Americans said they support “white supremacy movement” or “white nationalism.” Similarly, just 6 percent embraced the term “alt-right.” Still, there is a legitimate concern that support for right-wing bigotry may grow in the future if left unchecked.

Hopefully that filled in some blanks for people that were not sure what the Hell was meant when alt-Right is used.

Closing Thought–24Jul17

Will The Hypocrites Protest?

Remember a few months ago when a Repub. Rep. Scalise from LA was shot while at a baseball practice?

Do you remember the outrage from the Right when some idiots on the Left Tweeted about the need for more violence toward Repubs?

Since the idiot Right sees only their side I am NOT looking for any condemnation from the sleez-oids when one the their own, Alex Jones, made is his recent comment on his show…..

High on the list of radical alt-right wackos is conspiracy freak Alex Jones. On his radio broadcasts Jones unleashes a non-stop flurry of malicious rants and dark fantasies. He famously asserts that the Sandy Hook murders were a hoax complete with actors portraying children’s corpses. More recently he has been fixated on what he believes are the nascent ramblings of a new Civil War. Newsweek reports that:

“On June 23, he accused ‘the left’ of starting civil war and offered to personally execute convicted traitors because, he said, ‘I’m not going to sit here and just call for stuff without actually being part of it.’ In the same broadcast he said, ‘I don’t need some coming-of-age deal to kill a bunch of liberals,’ but ‘we have to start getting ready for insurrection and civil war because they’re really pushing it.’”

Jones has crossed a line that may put him in legal jeopardy. It is against the law to threaten government officials. And his advocacy of violence toward anyone with whom he disagrees should earn immediate condemnation and social exile. However, Jones remains a confidant and ally of Donald Trump. He professes his undying loyalty on every show. Jones has claimed to be in frequent contact with the President. As for Trump, he has appeared on Jones’ Infowars program praising his “amazing” reputation. And an Infowars “correspondent” was actually granted a White House press pass.

I do not expect to see or hear any condemnation….for most of his followers cannot see beyond the crap he feeds them.

Please anyone, no matter the aisle Left or Right or Center, that condones violence against another person simply because of their political views is NO better that piece of old crap…….

That is it for me for today….may your evening be good and your sleep even better…..tomorrow is another day…..chuq

The Longest War Ignored

Morning my friends….I hope all had a good weekend and are ready for another week of stuff.

Let’s get busy!

For months, nay years, we have been warning the population about the creeping demon of disinformation….okay call it fake news….does not matter….it is all the same.

A flash from the past is starting to make a come back….the tired old slogan of anti-communism…..it is being seen once again…can Elvis be far behind?

Anti-communism is back in vogue — not just among the right but also in so-called progressive blue states.

Donald Trump’s campaign and presidency have ushered in a tide of blatantly racist, classist, sexist and politically repressive nostalgia, encapsulated by his ominous slogan, “Make America Great Again.” As Trump and his Republican allies work to dismantle civil, voting, reproductive and immigration rights, another vestige of the past — anti-communism — has begun to reappear.

Fox News is but one purveyor of this ideology. As commentator after commentator sees it, communism stifles the spark that promotes competition and human advancement. In fact, any positive mention of communism is quickly and repeatedly condemned. For example, when MIT Press published a book called Communism for Kids, in April, newscasters immediately made it headline news, denouncing the text as “propaganda and revisionist theory” and lampooned the idea that capitalism causes misery among a swath of the population.

Source: Red Scare Redux 2017: From Right-Wing Radio to Brooklyn

All this is so much fake news and disinformation…..the radical Right has done an excellent job of selling crap to the dolts that hang on their every word…..

It has been a long drawn out war but the Rad Right is winning…..

Never in modern American history has a president so frontally gone to war with the media as Donald Trump, whose speeches and tweet storms blast critical stories as “fake news” and mainstream news outlets as “the enemy of the American people.”

“Get used to being stigmatized as ‘opposition,’” the head of media at Human Rights Watch warned reporters and editors shortly after the election. “[Trump’s] basic idea is simple: to delegitimize accountability journalism by framing it as partisan.”

So far, the Trumpian strategy seems to be working, at least with his base. A recent poll found that fewer than 10 percent of Republicans trust the media a lot, and 6 in 10 complain that the media “keep political leaders from doing their job.”

Source: The Right’s Long War on Media – Consortiumnews

A long war indeed……and few pushed back on bullshit……

Right-wing media evolved into a hall of mirrors in 2016, when Breitbart displaced Fox News as the key agenda-setting and attack-leading epicenter of a disinformation-filled, paranoid ecosystem promoting Donald Trump and his pro-white America agenda.

Breitbart not only led the right’s obsessive, hostile focus on immigrants, it was also the first to attack professional reporting such as the New York Times and Washington Post. Breitbart’s disruptive template fueled the political and information universe we now inhabit, where the right dismisses facts and embraces fantasies.

Source: Study: How Breitbart Media’s Disinformation Created the Paranoid, Fact-Averse Nation That Elected Trump | Alternet

Communism is a clever word because of the users are too stupid to find a real word to describe a situation…..most of the dolts that use the term would not know a “socialist”/Communist” if it ran up and bit them in the ass.

I Cannot Support Donald Trump–HH

I will admit that Trump has said a few things that I can agree with……but his social and economic issues just suck.

But one thing that he has that I cannot tolerate is the support he has received from hate groups like KKK, Neo-Nazis, etc…..

With his many appeals to nativism, bigotry, and bitter discontent, Donald Trump has enthralled far-right extremists with his campaign for president. According to an investigation by Mother Jones and the Investigative Fund at The Nation Institute, since Trump officially announced his bid in June 2015 he has drawn effusive praise and formal backing from some of the country’s most virulent neo-Nazis, white supremacists, militia supporters, and other extremist leaders. They include the head of the American Nazi Party, three former Ku Klux Klansmen, four people involved in a recent armed standoff against federal authorities at an Oregon wildlife refuge, and at least 15 individuals affiliated with organizations described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as hate groups.

Trump has disavowed none of them.

Source: Meet the Horde of Neo-Nazis, Klansmen, and Other Extremist Leaders Endorsing Donald Trump | Mother Jones

He, Trump, may not be a fascist himself but he has the support of many of them and their representative bodies….our country has enough problems we really do not need these toads sniffing after our candidates.

These people have a right to their beliefs and the right to support whomever echoes their beliefs……but that does not mean that I must follow suit…..

I would NEVER knowingly support any candidate that has the endorsement of these groups….and that is why I could NEVER support Donald J. Trump.

Leave Poor Ben Alone!

Before I go on about Ben let me post this about something another GOP d/bag has had to say…..

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), who is part of Boehner’s close-knit circle, attempted to turn the tables on members of the conservative Freedom Caucus, denouncing them as “right-wing Marxists” who have empowered House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) by undermining Boehner.

“The right-wing Marxists have teamed up with Pelosi. They’re the ones who always team up with Pelosi. They are the Pelosi Republicans,” an infuriated Nunes said in an interview. “The Freedom Caucus is an arm of Pelosi.”

A Right-wing Marxist?  Maybe this idiot should not be on a committee called the “intelligence” committee.

Onward march the Christian soldier, Ben……..

It appears that Carson has out “Donald” the “Donald”!

I have been told this by a couple of people that are on-board with the radical Rights bullshit positions.

It seems Carson is catching flak and some are upset with that attention….saying stuff like…”he is only saying what all Americans are thinking”…..first of all……I do not think all Americans are that bigoted…..only people that prefer slogans to issues and solutions.

Ben is striking back at all his detractors…….

Ben Carson today blamed “PC culture” for the political fallout over his statement against electing a Muslim president. Carson told reporters in Ohio that his view is that anyone wanting to be president must embrace the Constitution and American principles. He added that he would oppose a Christian for president who wanted to establish a theocracy. Asked how his campaign can recover from the controversy, the retired neurosurgeon replied: “The only way we fix that is fix the PC culture in our country,” referring to political correctness. “We fix America, and we get people who actually start listening … and stop trying to fit everything into a PC model,” he said.

Carson’s remarks came amid a backlash over his comments last weekend that Muslims shouldn’t serve in the presidency. In an interview with Fox News, Carson then retreated slightly, saying he would be open to a moderate Muslim who denounced radical Islam as a White House candidate. But he also said he stood by his original comments, saying the country cannot elect people “whose faith might interfere with carrying out the duties of the Constitution.” Today, Carson called the Muslim president question “a theoretical issue” that’s distracting from important national and international problems, from US income inequality to the Syrian refugee crisis.

The “political correct” argument are only for those that have no excuse for their words or actions……they do not want to face what they have said or done so they blame everyone else for their fuck up….So political correctness is the perfect excuse.

Finally, GOP faithful are a fickle bunch!  They will jump around to whichever candidate has the most outrageous and bigoted statement….it appears that support depends on that and that alone.

Maybe if we are to ignore what Carson said…then we should ignore all outrageous diatribes by all candidates……and we know that will NOT happen, right?

But did this lift Ben beyond the “Donald”…..probably not….but it will send him higher in the polls…..after all that is what is needed to rise….feed the fear!
