From The “Can’t Fix Stupid” Files

Closing thought–21Apr21

The GOP and NRA’s favorite pedophile has opened his worthless mouth and inserted foot.

Ted Nugent rambled on about Covid-19……..of which I wrote……https://lobotero.com/2021/04/11/from-the-cant-fix-stupid-files-3/

Now that mouth has opened again……

Months after claiming there was “not a real pandemic,” Ted Nugent found himself sicker than he’d ever been in his life. “I have had flu symptoms for the last 10 days. … I thought I was dying,” the rocker said Monday on a Facebook Live stream, noting he’d tested positive for COVID-19 that same day, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. However, the right-wing musician echoed former President Trump in calling it “the Chinese virus.” “I’ve got a stuffed-up head, body aches. My God, what a pain in the ass,” he went on. “I literally could hardly crawl out of bed the last few days. But I did, I crawled.” The 72-year-old Nugent had prefaced the announcement by saying, “Everybody told me I should not announce this.” He has called the pandemic a scam, spread misinformation about the vaccine, and doubted the US death toll in recent months.

n August, he claimed the pandemic was a “leftist scam to destroy [Trump],” per the Star-Telegram. In December, he said it was “not a real pandemic and that’s not a real vaccine.” Then last month, he claimed the US death toll was false. “They claim 500,000 people have died from COVID-19. Bulls—,” he said on a Facebook stream, per NME. “‘Well, this guy was stabbed to death, but they made me put down COVID,'” he added, impersonating a medical examiner. Nugent again touched upon the vaccine during Monday’s stream, which found him breathing heavily and coughing occasionally. “Nobody knows what’s in it. Actually, some people do know what’s in it,” he said, claiming doctors were “forcing it upon people.” He suggested he’d be fine. “I’m notorious for plowing through any obstacles, including a positive test for Chinese-19,” he said.

Another prime example of “Can’t Fix Stupid”.

“America First”?

Goose stepping into history?

Ever noticed the more radically Right groups give their endeavors those “patriotic” sounding names to cover up their fascistic leanings?

Groups like the Freedom Caucus….that batch of Tea Partyers that do little governing rather are there in the House to obstruct and being the government to a halt.

First there will be a new Trumpism think tank….the America First Policy Institute…..

Malcolm X, Mark Twain, Malcolm Gladwell. Lewis Carroll, Steve Jobs. Douglas Adams, Mohandas Gandhi, Rocky Balboa – all seem unlikely sources of inspiration for a definition of Trumpism.

Yet these are among the prominent figures quoted by members of a new thinktank dedicated to resurrecting former US president Donald Trump’s populist-nationalist agenda.

The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) describes itself as both “non-profit” and “non-partisan”. Critics, however, regard it as a cash cow for alumni of the Trump administration whose stained reputations make it hard to find gainful employment.

Trump’s policy achievements on criminal justice reform, the US-Mexico border and the pre-pandemic economy are worth preserving, studying and developing. “I think bottling that up into a thinktank and asking questions from an academic point of view – how was it that we achieved that? – is really important,” he said.

The AFPI is organized around 20 “policy centers”, such as homeland security and energy independence. A profile of the “Center for 1776” rails against “academic elites and demagogues” who are choosing to “embrace identity politics, division, and submission”. It appears to be picking up where Trump’s “1776 Commission”, a thinly disguised rightwing backlash against the New York Times’s 1619 Project, left off.

Well guess what….the “C word” of a representative from Georgia (the state not the country) has decided to give us more fascism and form yet another far right “patriotic” waste of time….and we pay her salary.

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, who is not on any congressional committees, is forming her own “America First” caucus based on “Anglo-Saxon political traditions.” Membership hasn’t been announced, but Rep. Barry Moore of Alabama said he’s interested, as is Rep. Louie Gohmert. Rep. Matt Gaetz, who faces a House ethics investigation as well as a federal sex trafficking case, tweeted that he’s in. Greene’s office confirmed the launch Friday, CNN reports. A flier posted by Punchbowl News lays out the caucus platform, including nativist arguments and conspiracy theories, starting with election fraud. “America is a nation with a border, and a culture, strengthened by a common respect for uniquely Anglo-Saxon political traditions,” the seven-page document says.

Several Republicans immediately attacked the idea. “The Republican Party is the party of Lincoln & the party of more opportunity for all Americans—not nativist dog whistles,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy tweeted. “Completely disgusted,” Rep. Adam Kinzinger posted. Liz Cheney, the No. 3 Republican in the House, posted that Republicans teach tolerance. “Racism, nativism, and anti-Semitism are evil. History teaches we all have an obligation to confront & reject such malicious hate,” Cheney wrote. “America First” was used as a slogan not just by former President Trump, but by Americans opposed to involvement in World War II, per NBC, even after Germany’s slaughter of Jewish people became known in the US. A Democratic lawmaker, Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips, urged ignoring the caucus and its members. “They are as relevant or irrelevant as WE make them,” he wrote.

Let’s be honest….we can call these attempts anything you like….but fascism is fascism and this is as fascistic as we can get.

But to be fair here is the pdf of the foundation statement for the “America First” caucus….

Click to access America-First-Caucus-Policy-Platform-FINAL-2.pdf

Surely you can spare some time after all it is only 7 pages and if you can read then it will be a piece of cake.

At what damn point do true Americas wake the Hell up and see this crap for what it is?

The GOP needs to purge these slugs and political parasites from their midst….

The Republican party, however, both behaves and is ideologically most similar to Hungary’s Fidesz party, Turkey’s AKP party and Poland’s PiS party.

All three are, essentially, fascist parties. As Zach Beauchamp of Vox notes, Turkey is one of the world’s leading jailers of journalists, Poland’s party has threatened judgeswho don’t rule the way they like with criminal punishment, and Hungary scapegoats immigrants as a strategy to gain and grow political power.

https://www.commondreams.org/views/2021/04/13/republican-party-must-be-purged-nazis-and-fascists

But will they?

ADDENDUM:

Dammit!

After I wrote this post and saved it to be posted today news came out that this attempt to form a fascistic caucus within the GOP has been political squashed…..

There won’t be an “America First” caucus in the US House after all. Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene let go of the idea in the face of quick, broad opposition from members of both parties to the group’s apparent founding document. Greene then tried to put space between her and the platform, the Wall Street Journal reports, saying it was “a staff level draft proposal from an outside group that I hadn’t read.” The document called for adherence to “Anglo-Saxon political traditions,” going so far as to endorse the use of European architecture in US infrastructure. Republican House leaders Kevin McCarthy and Liz Cheney were among those who denounced hate and nativism after Punchbowl posted the policy online. “The hatefulness of this statement is only surpassed by its ignorance of American history and values,” Republican Rep. Ken Buck tweeted.

Greene blamed “the scum and liars in the media” for taking “something out of context.” She didn’t mention which parts of the document she disagrees with or were misunderstood, per the Washington Post. “The Congresswoman wants to make clear that she is not launching anything,” a spokesperson said, per CNN, though Greene’s office had said Friday the caucus would be formed “very soon.” Nonetheless, Greene promised in a tweet to keep working for former President Trump’s “America First” agenda. “America First policies will save this country for all of us, our children, and ultimately the world,” she said. The House already has removed Greene from committees over her past comments, but McCarthy kept her in the GOP conference. GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger said Friday that any Republican joining an “America First” caucus should receive similar punishment.

About time someone put these goose stepping morons in their place.

But on the downside….the think tank, America First Policy Institute,  remains to spread the BS of the American fascists.

Closing Thought–13Apr21

For awhile now we have been bombarded by the lame conspiracies fro that group of morons that call themselves QAnon….and then their part in the insurrection of 06 January is well documented….regardless of the many that disavow their part in the craziness of that day.

Personally, I believe that those idiots that embrace the QAnon BS are mentally challenged……much like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers….those overweight in-bred dickless idiots.

But maybe there is something to what I am feeling about QAnon……

Many who believe in QAnon, the notorious far-right conspiracy, may have mental illnesses. While QAnon followers believe in a lot of things, the central tenet of their complicated and ever-changing belief system is that national Democrats, aided by Hollywood and a group of so-called global elites, are running a ring devoted to the abduction, trafficking, torture, sexual abuse, and cannibalization of children — rituals of their Satanic faith. And former President Donald Trump is the only person willing and able to mount an attack against them.

Sophia Moskalenko, a research fellow in social psychology, Georgia State University, during research for ‘Pastels and Pedophiles: Inside the Mind of QAnon’, a forthcoming book she co-authored with security scholar Mia Bloom, noticed that QAnon followers are “different from the radicals I usually study in one key way: They are far more likely to have serious mental illnesses.”

As per court records of QAnon followers arrested in the wake of the January 6 Capitol insurrection, 68 percent reported that they had received mental health diagnoses. This was analyzed by Michael Jensen and Sheehan Kane for ‘Profiles of Individual Radicalization in the United States’, a research project “dedicated to improving the understanding of the human causes and consequences of terrorism”.

If you are an insomniac like me then you have seen the ads on the tube for “My Pillow” (an expensive waste of cash)……the owner and hawker for “My Pillow” is one Mike Lindell, a rabid Trump supporter…..like his idol Trump Lindell has been thrown off Twitter…..and now he has a new idea but one that you cannot sleep on…..

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, the Trump ally who was barred from Twitter for spreading election-related conspiracy theories, plans to launch his own social-media site.

The platform could launch within a month, Lindell said on Charlie Kirk’s podcast on Friday.

“Every single influencer person on the planet can come there. You’re going to have a platform to speak out,” Lindell said, adding, “It’s not just like a little Twitter platform.”

He said he’d been working on the site for four years.

(businessinsider.com)

He was barred from Twitter in January, and in February both YouTube and Vimeo pulled down a two-hour film called “Absolute Proof” that he’d made about the election. Lindell claimed in the podcast that 140 million people had viewed the film.

This would give Donald the Orange a new avenue to spew his hatred and disgusting puke.

QAnon Today

QAnon?

Those alleged inciters of the 06 January breach of the Capitol…..among others…..

But if you spent time crying over the last episode of the Kardashians or too many hours playing Sin City and have NO idea who these slugs of society are then the old professor can help out.

At its heart, QAnon is a wide-ranging, completely unfounded theory that says that President Trump is waging a secret war against elite Satan-worshipping paedophiles in government, business and the media.

QAnon believers have speculated that this fight will lead to a day of reckoning where prominent people such as former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be arrested and executed.

In October 2017, an anonymous user put a series of posts on the message board 4chan. The user signed off as “Q” and claimed to have a level of US security approval known as “Q clearance”.

These messages became known as “Q drops” or “breadcrumbs”, often written in cryptic language peppered with slogans, pledges and pro-Trump themes.

Since 06 January and the failed uprising from the idiot Right….not much have been herd from the “leader of the pack” of rabid pigs…..now they are scrambling to explain away their failure on 04 March….

QAnonfollowers have already started to find excuses for why Donald Trump did not replace Joe Biden as US president on 4 March.

If you haven’t been following, conspiracy theorists argued that Trump would return this week due to a baseless claim that the US turned into a corporation, rather than a country, after the passage of the District of Columbia Organic Act in 1871.

Therefore, they believe that any amendment passed after 1871 is illegitimate, including the 20th amendment which moved the inauguration date from 4 March to 20 January.

Of course when nothing happened on Thursday, QAnon followers were left scrambling for an explanation.

Some influencers in the movement had turned away from the 4th March theory early, claiming that the date may have been set up as a “false flag” operation by the US government designed to lure in members.

https://www.indy100.com/news/qanon-trump-conspiracy-theory-march-biden-b1812863

There is always an excuse, right?

Since they have lost some of their venom the question needs asking about the future of the slime in QAnon….

Everyone agreed that QAnon will likely persist as a major factor in American politics.

If these experts are right, and I suspect they are, the problems driving the QAnon movement will probably get worse before they get better, if they get better at all.

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/22252171/qanon-donald-trump-conspiracy-theories

Another question asked is why does QAnon attract so many white evangelicals?

QAnon revolves around the baseless belief that former President Donald Trump is fighting a secret war against a global cabal of Democratic elites who are Satan-worshipping, cannibalistic pedophiles. Much of the lore comes from online posts, called “drops,” written by an anonymous person known as “Q” who claims to have insider knowledge. As the QAnon movement has become more culturally significant — QAnon believers were among those who took part in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol building — surveys have attempted to identify just how many Americans believe in this conspiracy. While that picture is still murky, it’s become increasingly apparent that this movement has attracted a significant number of white evangelical Christians, which could have implications for the movement’s future. Evangelicals, after all, played an important role in shoring up the Tea Party’s growth and influence.

Why QAnon Has Attracted So Many White Evangelicals

So is QAnon a  movement or a religion?

You decide.

Let The Games Begin

Now that the Trump trial has come to an end……and now the retaliation may begin…..

Trump’s sack holder in the Senate Lindsey Graham has issued a Trumpite threat for 2022…..in an interview on FOX News (where else?)…..

Lindsey Graham gave a wide-ranging interview on Fox News Sunday all about the impeachment trial, a day after it ended in acquittal for former President Trump. Some of the topics the South Carolina senator touched on:

  • Trump’s reaction to the verdict: Trump “was grateful to his lawyers” and “appreciated the help that all of us provided,” Graham said, per the Hill, adding that the former president was “ready to move on and rebuild the Republican Party” and “excited about 2022,” though he was also “mad at some folks.”
  • Mad at who? Graham didn’t specify whether Mitch McConnell was one of those people, but he did say of the Senate minority leader’s speech condemning Trump (even after McConnell voted to acquit): “I think Sen. McConnell’s speech—he got a load off his chest but unfortunately put a load on the back of Republicans. That speech you will see in 2022 campaigns. I would imagine if you’re a Republican running in Georgia, Arizona, New Hampshire, where we have a chance to take back the Senate, they may be playing Sen. McConnell’s speech and asking you about it if you’re a candidate.”
  • Retribution? Graham warned that Democrats had set a dangerous precedent with the trial, the New York Post reports. “If you use this model, I don’t know how Kamala Harris doesn’t get impeached if the Republicans take over the House,” he said. “Because she actually bailed out rioters and one of the rioters went back to the streets and broke somebody’s head open. So we’ve opened Pandora’s Box here and I’m sad for the country.” He was referring to the now-VP’s support of the Minnesota Freedom Fund back in June, before she became now-President Joe Biden’s running mate. She encouraged people to donate to the fund, which helped Black Lives Matter protesters to post bail. It’s not clear what he was referring to with his “broke somebody’s head open” comment.
  • The phone call: With regard to the phone call in which Trump reportedly told House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy the rioters at the US Capitol cared more about the results of the election than McCarthy did, Graham dismissed it as “hearsay.” He acknowledged the former president “bears responsibility of pushing narratives about the election that I think are not sound and not true,” he said, but that is “politically protected speech.”
  • Lara Trump: Graham said the former president’s daughter-in-law, wife of Eric Trump, stands to gain quite a bit from this whole thing. “The biggest winner of this whole impeachment trial is Lara Trump,” Graham said, per Slate. “My dear friend Richard Burr, [the North Carolina senator who voted to convict Trump], just made Lara Trump almost the certain nominee for the Senate seat in North Carolina to replace him if she runs.”

A vindictive tit for tat from the Trump party of mindless and spineless slugs.

The American Right

Let me start by stating that in the past, in my younger days, I was an uber-radical…..I protested and I Worked for radical change for America. Never in our radicalized dreams that we ever considered doing what was done by the Right on 06 January….NEVER!

Since 1980 I have been saying and writing that the rise of certain groups would not end well for the country……I said then that the Right was a simmering stew of far Right leaning supporters and that it would only get worse if things did not change.

It seem that my fears were well founded.

Social scientists have long warned about the problem of “asymmetric polarization” in the United States, with the bulk of growing political extremism happening on the American right, rather than on the left. This one-sided polarization is observed in numerous academic studies, documenting the concentration of authoritarianism on the American right, via rising extremism in Republican Party politics, and related to the growing propensity of the right to use violence. My own research utilizing public opinion surveys reinforces the asymmetric polarization finding, as consumption of right-wing media is far more strongly associated with pulling Americans news consumers to the right than consumption of liberal media content is in pulling Americans to the left.

The large majority of mainstream journalists, public intellectuals, and scholars working in the field of fascism studies, have all been careful over the years to avoid characterizing Trump or U.S. politics as fascistic. Only a handful of scholars and other intellectuals, for example Henry Giroux, Jason Stanley, Carl Boggs, Paul Street, and a few others, have been sounding the fascism alarm bell for the last few years. These people were largely ignored by mainstream public intellectuals and scholars, despite recognizing the dangers of what’s been happening in real time.

The problem with American denialism is that it’s meant the circumvention of an important and necessary discussion about rising fascism that needed to happen following Trump’s rise to power, and in the wake of the terrorist white supremacist violence in Charlottesville, El Paso, and elsewhere. Now that Americans are finally waking up from their slumber regarding the threat of rightwing extremism, we find ourselves in the uncomfortable position of rushing from fascism denialism, to rapidly mobilizing law enforcement to disrupt, combat, and dismantle that fascist threat. This dramatically shifting reality speaks to the wholesale failure of American political discourse. This discussion should have been taking place in a very open and visible way over the last four years, before we reached a full-on crisis involving American fascistic violence.

A (Not-So-New) Profile of the American Right: On the Authoritarian-Fascist Crisis

This chapter in American history is not concluded….I believe it is far from over.

A (“C” Word) Comes To Congress

There have been many people elected to Congress that seem to not hold the sword of the Constitution in their hearts….but recently the people of Georgia (the state not the country) elected an all out whack-a-doodle.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is her name.

She has hassled a shooting victim, made light of handicapped people, threatened a member of Congress with death and so forth….

Some Congress are worried about her place in the House…..

It’s deja va all over again for Republicans, at least in the AP’s eyes. “Republicans have a Marjorie Taylor Greene problem. Again,” it declares, and it’s not alone in that coverage. Though she was embraced by then-President Trump, the Georgia Republican was denounced by party leaders during her primary run over her voiced support for QAnon. But once she clinched the primary, that clamor against her all but ceased. Now, new issues—for her and for the party—in the form of a deep dive into her Facebook activity and the surfacing of a video in which she is hounding a Parkland school shooting survivor. The latest:

  • CNN KFile dug into hundreds of posts and comments that appeared on Greene’s Facebook page, and found instances from 2018 and 2019 where she liked comments related to executing leading Democrats, among them Nancy Pelosi. In that January 2019 instance, she liked a comment that suggested “a bullet to the head” would be a quicker way to remove Pelosi from her post. In response to a commenter asking about hanging Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, she replied, “Stage is being set. Players are being put in place. We must be patient. This must be done perfectly or liberal judges would let them off.”
  • In a tweeted response to the report, Greene blasted “Fake News CNN” for its hit piece and offered a defense, writing that her Facebook page has been handled by others in addition to herself. “Many posts have been liked. Many posts have been shared. Some did not represent my views. Especially the ones that CNN is about to spread across the internet.”

Media Matters flagged a 2018 Facebook post in which Greene gave air to a conspiracy theory that there is video of Clinton murdering a child as part of a satanic ritual and and orchestrated a hit on a cop to cover it up.

The GOP has been silent on her attitudes and words…..they even went so far as to give her a committee assignment….

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was “appalled” to learn Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who once endorsed executing the speaker, was appointed to the House Education Committee. “What could they be thinking?” Pelosi said of Republican House leaders on Thursday, per Politico. “Or is thinking too generous of a word for what they might be doing?” She said the appointment showed “the disregard” GOP members have for the deaths of children in school shootings at Sandy Hook in Newtown, Conn., and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High in Parkland, Fla.—events Greene has claimed were staged. And the speaker wasn’t alone.

  • Committee chair Rep. Bobby Scott called on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to “explain how someone with this background represents the Republican party on education issues.” He added the appointment was supposed to reflect members’ “commitment to serving students, parents, and educators.”
  • Some Sandy Hook parents are chiming in as well. Jake Tapper tweeted a statement from Mark Barden, father of Daniel Barden, and Nicole Hockley, mother of Dylan Hockley, that reads in part, “Having a Sandy Hook and Parkland denier on the House Education and Labor Committee is an attack on any and every family whose loved ones were murdered in mass shootings.”
  • Fellow Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger said Greene should be denied the privilege of serving on any committee, calling her a “Republican In Name Only,” per Politico. The outlet reports freshman GOP Rep. Nancy Mace has also criticized Greene in private.
  • This comes after a deep dive into Greene’s social media accounts. Per the Daily Intelligencer, Greene has claimed 9/11 was an inside job, said Muslims don’t belong in government, and spread an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory suggesting 2018 California wildfires were caused by a space laser connected to the Rothschild family.
  • “She saw the Austin Powers movie and thought it was a documentary, I guess,” Jimmy Kimmel quipped Thursday, per the New York Times. He added House Republicans had appointed their “screwiest, Q-iest member” to the Education Committee “hoping, I guess, she would get one.”
  • Late Show host Stephen Colbert noted Greene’s support for executing top Democrats is “probably going to complicate this year’s congressional Secret Santa: ‘Huh, let’s see what I get here. Uh, my person gave me a severed horse’s head? I thought there was a $25 limit.'”
  • McCarthy has already had private conversations with Greene, who has also joined the House Budget Committee, “in an attempt to rein in some of her most extreme rhetoric,” per Politico. In response to the latest criticism, he said he would speak to Greene again about her “disturbing” comments.
  • Democrats are taking steps of their own, including introducing a privileged resolution to expel Greene from Congress. While it’s unlikely to pass, it would force “every single lawmaker, including members of GOP leadership, to go on the record when it comes to Greene,” per Politico.

And let’s not forget that before Biden took his oath she stated that she would offer up an impeachment of Biden…

A freshman GOP lawmaker wants to get the ball rolling on impeaching Joe Biden on the president-elect’s first full day in office. After President Trump was impeached for a second time Wednesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene told Newsmax that she plans to file articles of impeachment against Biden on Jan. 21. The Georgia lawmaker has expressed support for QAnon conspiracy theories, but she’s not planning to accuse Biden of being part of a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles. Instead, she is attacking the president-elect over remarks he made in 2018 about threatening to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees to Ukraine if prosecutor general Viktor Shokin wasn’t replaced, the Hill reports. “I’m proud to be the voice of Republican voters who have been ignored,” she tweeted.

The Obama administration called for Shokin’s firing over corruption allegations in 2015, as did the EU and the IMF. When Biden, as vice president, raised the issue with Ukrainian officials, Shokin was investigating the energy firm Burisma. Biden’s son Hunter was a board member at the time, though he was not accused of wrongdoing. “We cannot have a president of the United States who is willing to abuse the power of the office of the presidency and be easily bought off by foreign governments, foreign Chinese energy companies, Ukrainian energy companies,” said Greene, who didn’t specify what she wants to charge Biden with. Trump’s first impeachment stemmed from a call to Ukraine’s leader in which he pushed for an investigation of the Bidens.

Do we really want a person like this representing the US?

She also will not back down….

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) vowed to “never back down” as she faces an avalanche of criticism in light of unearthed remarks advocating violence against Democrats, calling school shootings a hoax and supporting the Qanon conspiracy theory.

In a statement to supporters, Greene blamed the “radical, left-wing Democratic mob and the Fake News media” for the effort to “take me out,” even though the controversy surrounds unsurfaced comments she made and has attracted criticism from fellow Republicans.

“I will never back down. I will never give up. Because I am one of you. And I will always represent you,” she said. “I take these slings and arrows gladly for you. I take them for our America First movement so that we can save our country and stop socialism. I knew this day would come, it was only a question of when.”

https://thehill.com/homenews/house/536558-greene-vows-to-never-back-down-in-face-of-criticism-over-past-remarks

The ball is in Pelosi’s court…..what will she do?

I do not blame Greene….I blame the morons in Georgia that elected her.

Pelosi needs to find a spine and do hat needs doing….since the GOP are gutless cowards she needs to act.

If she does not that Pelosi will make the House as spineless as the Senate.

Let The Whining Begin!

I have been reading a lot lately about the direction that some Trump supporters are willing to dance to…..some call it waffling.

Now that the little dictator (Trump not Chaplin) has been de-throned his supporters are wanting calm.

Seriously!

I read an op-ed by a Trump supporter that is calling for unity…..(a pathetic plea)……

I am a proud Southern Republican, pro-gun Christian and a strong Trump supporter. I am also caucasian and a female.

With that one statement, many of you may have already decided what you think of me and how you feel about what I’ve written. Maybe you’ve already decided whether I’m a friend or enemy and whether you will agree or disagree with my views and what I’m about to say.

In this current political environment, so many people are ready to support or attack others simply based upon some binary, superficial metric.

The sad truth is that’s what we have reduced each other to: Democrats or Republicans; Liberals or Conservatives; black or white; friend or enemy – leaving us divided and angry.

Altogether, It feels like we are fighting so intensely to, effectively, dehumanize each other by creating and applying labels, often making harsh assumptions without a civil question asked of each other.

All the while becoming defensive, reacting emotionally to others and angrily judging one another.

https://www.yourtango.com/2021339824/trump-supporter-stop-judging-based-on-politics

Sorry I cannot take this seriously.

If it is that important where was this sentiment for the last 4 years?

Why now after Trump has lost his hold on the nation?

Sorry but I refuse to listen to this slug.

Then there is the “Oath Keepers”….that far right militia a bunch of toads that feel important because they carry guns…..seems one ex-memdeber is running scared of the FBI….

The Daily Beast profiled Sam Andrews, a former member of the right-wing paramilitary group the Oath Keepers, who called for the Capitol protesters to arm themselves ahead of the insurrection — and now he is trying to distance himself out of fear that the FBI could come after him.

“Andrews was outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, but says he did not enter the building,” reported Kelly Weill. “Following Donald Trump’s election loss, Andrews appeared in a widely shared video that called on the right to converge on D.C. ‘armed, in large groups,” as The Washington Post previously reported. Those groups, he said, should show up ‘en masse in D.C., armed, demanding, not asking, that we get a peaceful resolution on these voter corruption issues.'”

Now, fearing retribution from federal agents, he is walking back all of this.

https://www.rawstory.com/oath-keepers-2650048208/

Oh golly……a “bad boy” whining…….go figure.

All I can say to him is something my grandfather use to say…”If you are looking for sympathy then go to a dictionary….you will find it between shit and syphilis”

All these rabid douche bags start showing their true colors when they learn there are consequences for their actions.

Sorry but you reap what you sow.

Then there is FOX News…..worried about hurting Trump supporters feelings…..

After the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday, Fox News critiqued the 46th president’s speech, taking issue with Biden’s strong denouncement of nativism, racism, and white supremacy – which, they suggested, might offend Trump voters.

Denouncing nativism, racism, and white supremacy was apparently upsetting to Fox News host Martha MacCallum and Fox News contributor Dan Henninger, who is also the deputy editorial page director of The Wall Street Journal.

Trump supporters “might be asking, ‘Why is he bringing up nativism and fear and telling lies for power and profit in the middle of an inaugural speech?'” Henninger asked, as Media Matters reports.

https://www.rawstory.com/fox-news/

Okay this made me laugh…..god forbid someone hurt the feelings of Trumpites……

These insulting toads can go to Hell for all I care.

The Price They Pay

There is always a price for stupid!

Our Congress people that are in support of the stupid around 06 January and paying a price for their assault on our democracy…..

First, Sen Hawley of Missouri……

After losing a book deal and political contributions, Sen. Josh Hawley has now had the rug pulled out from a fundraiser over his support for overturning the results of the presidential election. Loews Hotels said Saturday that it has canceled the event planned for next month at its Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando, Forbes reports. The company tweeted that it was “horrified and opposed to the events at the Capitol.” The Missouri Republican stuck to his position when Congress returned to work after the Jan. 6 attack, even as other GOP members dropped their opposition to certifying President-elect Joe Biden’s victory. Loews cited the safety of employees and guests in adding that it was canceling the fundraiser “in light of those events.”

“If these corporations don’t want conservatives to speak, they should just be honest about it,” Hawley said in an email to Forbes. “But to equate leading a debate on the floor of the Senate with inciting violence is a lie, and it’s dangerous.” A flier said the event was to cost families $5,000, couples $3,000, and individuals $1,000, per the Orlando Sentinel. “I think it’s totally inappropriate,” said a Florida lawyer who posted the flier online earlier Saturday. “You bring your family down and go to Universal in the middle of a pandemic, after [he’s] incited an insurrection?” Not only have corporate political donations dried up since the attack, one company’s PAC wants its money back from Hawley. “I will not be deterred from representing my constituents and I will not bow to left wing corporate pressure,” Hawley’s statement said.

Then there is the QAnon member of Congress, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia has had her Twitter account suspended….

Twitter has been suspending accounts left and right as it cracks down on the QAnon conspiracy theory, and one pretty big name is included in the 70,000 suspensions so far: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. The Georgia congresswoman has endorsed QAnon, and has also tweeted claims of widespread election fraud. In fact, one of her latest tweets before the suspension, along with a series of other tweets posted Sunday morning, were slapped with Twitter warnings for misinformation due to such baseless claims. NPR reports that Greene’s account remains viewable to the public, but she was locked out of it Sunday and will not be able to access it for 12 hours. In response, she called on Congress to “protect free speech in America,” CNN reports.

A Twitter rep says the Republican’s account “has been temporarily locked out for multiple violations of our civic integrity policy,” the same policy the company cited when it removed QAnon-linked accounts. Greene, who was just elected in November, is one of a few GOP freshman lawmakers who are already stirring controversy, the Wall Street Journal reports. In addition to her controversial stances on QAnon and election fraud, Greene was one of a number of lawmakers who refused to wear masks during the Capitol raid, after which several colleagues tested positive for COVID-19. In response to that controversy, her office said she had tested negative two days before the raid, and that “she does not believe healthy Americans should be forced to muzzle themselves with a mask.”

Consequences are a bitch!

But I do not think these go far enough.

Here is an article that goes with the post…..https://www.aier.org/article/congressional-hypocrisy-and-the-crackdown/

Not to worry I am sure we have not heard the last of these slugs.
