Today is the big day! (At least for the media)…..Iowans go to their caucuses and decide just what to do with their vote…..In the big picture it means very little but if you listen to the news…..anyone who does not win is toast….(a-choo! Sorry but I’m allergic to bullsh*t)…..
As I surf around the web I keep an eye on what people are saying about Bernie……I find that the Clinton people are the ones that are pushing the “socialism” thing hard especially now while they are behind in the first couple of primaries……..the media is using the term every time they report on Bernie….other stuff I have seen is he is too old or other nonsense….
I wanted to write a post explaining why most of the perceptions about Bernie are wrong….but before I could Robert Reich beat me to it…….so I will defer to him………

On foreign policy my guess would be……NO!
Hil has attacked Bernie for a vague foreign policy….she says she has the chops to do the job……I ask….what job is that? More profits for the M-IC?
The next prez will represent ALL Americans……and not just the ones that can afford to own a politician……you will have to decide who will be the person of the people…….

I think Hill would be quite a surprising hawk in foreign policy . That is of course if she even picks up the phone at 3 AM or states the call went to her underlings and never reached her as allegedly was the case in Benghazi. In many ways Bernie’s “socialism” is really just “inclusivenessism. ” But doesn’t socialism include that the government owns and runs means of production and infrastructure components? I have not heard him ask for government take over of the steel industry or electric company so it seems the “socialist” label does not fit. Ours certainly is not a government for the people but for the owners of the megabanks and megacorps. Certainly people of all diverse political persuasions feel the working class is getting screwed and the American dream is just that , a mere dream beyond the reach of most. Bernie electable ? Naw. It will be another 1972 for democrats and oh how much we believed in and knew George McGovern had the right ideas. The less government mantra of the right is absurd. This is a big country with a huge variety of things to run each day so therefore we need a big government. The problem is not big government. The problem is redundancy, corruption, inefficiency, lack of accountability and the ownership of government by special interests not the people. I think the right to vote has become a mere illusion of democracy.

Just scanned the article. One thing that stood out for me was “falling for President George W. Bush’s bogus WMD case”. That never really mattered to me. Saddam ruled his kingdom with rape rooms. Rape rooms! Can anyone imagine such barbaric terror? That alone was reason to depose the regime in my book. On the other hand Saddam warned of what would happen in the region without his iron fist. He was right.
I agree…Saddam was a total ass and I was in Iraq in 1980 and the people though afraid of the secret police had a more stable life……and the region can be said to be more stable also…..of course all this is hindsight and we are experts at that….LOL
SIGH…. In truth, it’s all just too depressing. Yes, Sanders is, probably, the best choice. No, he will never be elected, and, if elected, will never live to serve in office.
Just a prediction I’m positive of, as i am sure the US will continue to sell more arms than any other nation….
