How America’s political and economic elite gave birth to the Trump campaign

why don’t we take a break from the insanity of the international stage and try our hand at the insanity on the political stage?

I must admit that Donald Trump has gone further than I thought he would go….after watching him for a couple of election cycles pretend to be a candidate and at the last minute cut and run…….I did not think this time would be any different.

Apparently I was mistaken.

Now I ask how did Trump manage to get voters on his side of the equation for this election?

His popularity is going through the roof and the media is having a hard time keeping up with the unfolding story……

So just how did Trump manage to become the darling of the Right…..what made his rise possible?  And better yet…..the MSM scrambling to try and find a way to lessen Trump’s effectiveness……or explain his meteoric rise……

  1. Trump is the “Darling” of that part of the “Right” that is sick and tired of hearing their “Republicans In Name Only” (RINOs) parrot the scripts handed to them by Americans For Prosperity. Trump appeals to the salt-of-the-earth “Commoners” among the Right Wingers … The right wing “Grass-Rooters” if you will …. and he also pulls a lot of “Grass-Rootism” from the Left too. His message resonates because it does not sound like the scripted and contrived propaganda that we usually get fed by the machines that specialize in mind wash. To me he sounds like sort of a bold and brash and louder version of somebody like Will Rogers. Will Rogers was also a populist with reach and I think he almost ran for President at one time too, didn’t he?

Trump may end up not winning anything but one thing is for sure: History will not soon forget that he was here.

I hope he doesn’t cow-towe to that state that made his appearance in their jurisdiction dependent on him signing some asinine pledge not to run an Independent campaign. I hope he tells them where to stick it because what is their clout anyway …. 6 electoral votes? —- I hope Donald tells them where to shove it.

    1. Trump is telling you what you want to hear…he echoes the hates, the bigotries and the fears of some……but the American people have NO to blame but themselves for they voted for the people they now despise….illustrates the consequences of being uninformed…..sad part is we will do it again in a year of so….chuq

      1. Sad part is that we have always done it — or no! wait! Maybe that is what America is all about — being able to choose the worst possible candidates and being free to live under their madness. Is that freedom or what? The ability to choose our own form of misery rather than having some tyrant force it upon us? Yes, the underclass loves free food, stuff to smoke and a warm place to defecate …. very classy …. Can anyone fail to understand how people get what they vote for? Can anyone fault Americans for their obvious penchant for self-punishment? We haven’t had an administration that wasn’t corrupt since the days of George Washington. But we go sailing on our merry way, don’t we? Would you have it any other way?

      2. Why is it always the “underclass’ fault? We have created the “underclass” by voting for morons…so we need to keep doing that….okay I will continue to educate myself on issues and leave the personalities for the others….

      3. America has always run on hatred and bigotry. That is nothing new. Some would argue that is what makes us great. Ask an American Indian about hatred and bigotry. But I have never passed a reservation yet that does not boldly fly the Stars and Stripes somewhere, have you?

      4. See? You have freedom of choice! Isn’t that what America is all about? Remember that if there were no hatred or bigotry there would never have been an America. That does not justify hatred and bigotry but it is food for thought isn’t it? This righteous, Godly, Christian Nation could never have survived had it not been for hatred and bigotry. We definitely would not have gotten through the Second World War without it. As I recall those were days when our very survival was at stake and we were taught to hate the enemy with every ounce of passion in our hearts and bigotry against the enemy was the ordere of the day and if you didn’t conform you were considered to be siding with the enemy — much the same as when you dared not speak a word of criticism of the Iraq-War-Bush Administration. — Yes, I guess someone with a twisted view of the world might tell us that hatred and bigotry are absolutely essential qualities that a Christian nation like ours needs because we sure as hell have had enough of both ever since the day of the Founding.
