This report ought to get the war hawks adrenaline pumping at double time…..and that means the the candidates will leap on this to try and win over those that are in fear of the US losing its place as the world’s dominant power…….

A Russian offensive on NATO territory in the Baltics would overwhelm underarmed alliance forces in a matter of hours, leaving NATO with a harsh dilemma: Launch a long, bloody counteroffensive or concede defeat.
That is the conclusion of a new report by Rand Corp., which conducted a series of elaborate war games from summer 2014 to spring 2015 with the assistance of numerous American military commands and experts.
“As presently postured, NATO cannot successfully defend the territory of its most exposed members,” the Rand Corp. study says.

Let me say here that this is a study done at someone’s request…..the next question should be….who commissioned this study?
I will admit that the Rand Corp. has done some amazing studies in the past…..but this one smacks of neocons using them to bolster the defense spending…..making the case if you will….
After that I saw a report that just make me think that I am be on the right track with my assertion……..

The Baltic states and some other NATO members have been playing up the idea of a Russian invasion of Europe for over a year now, and while nothing ever came of it, they keep adding troops to the area, with the latest deployment to be the largest NATO deployment since the Cold War.
Apparently someone else has read the report other than me……..(and the arms dealers danced)…….
I am not impugning their findings…just asking a question or two……

I’ll merely refer you to my comment a couple posts back… follow the money. Russia, along with China, Brazil, India, and South Africa are challenging the dominance of the money markets by the IMF. The whole Ukrainian situation, along with the Baltic, is merely another front of that particular internecine corporate war…. Sword-rattling and suspected invasions are meat and potatoes for the propaganda masters, to keep the public afraid… neocons (who don’t usually deserve a capital letter) are an easy target, because the begin and end their thinking in fear…..
