If you have been listening to the news then you are aware that there is some shenanigans going on with people’s mortgages….and the game is all about the foreclosures….not the rescue of the homeowners home…..if you have a mortgage it might be a good idea to keep an eye on what is happening behind your back….

  1. Old English saying… “neither a borrower nor a lender be…” seems everyone has forgotten that very wise maxim these days.

    šŸ™

    1. A wise saying indeed…..however (too early for but)……here we have been taught that you are a loser if you do not own property…after all the country was founded on the issue of property rights…..and then there was the subprime thingy….all in all the low info voter was once again sold a pig’s ear for a silk purse…..they NEVER learn…..

      1. I understand. However (because it’s so early for you), that’s the way the aristocracy (or the elite, if you prefer) have managed their affairs – buy well, buy right, don’t have thousands of kids you can’t afford and then pass on your purchases to the next generation…

THEY are wise and it helps them enormously that so many ordinary people are stupid (or intellectually lazy) and therefore easy to fleece!

      2. There are parts of that that I agree with and other parts not so much….

Watch for my rant about the riots in France…I am sooooooo pissed that Americans do not have the nuts to demand what they want….they continue to vote for tweedle-dumb and tweedle-dumber…….

Also if you get a chance their is an excellent movie about this very thing called “Idiocracy” by mike Judge….I think you would appreciate it….I know i did…..it hits really close to American thinking…….

      3. I will look out for it. As to France… well, the French are revolting – need I say more.

More seriously, those guys don’t know when they are well off! They will (if not resisted, which no recent President has had the nuts to do) destroy the country’s economy. For instance, it’s actually cheaper in France to NOT work than it is to do so – exactly as it has been in the UK and look where that has got us!

      4. My point is that a worker should not be penalized for the mis-management of the government. Why should working stiffs foot the bill? While some asshole in the CEO chairman scratches his ‘roids and gets millions for fucking up the country? But no…it falls as always on the backs of the working class to make the shit more stable. Looks like only the working class is capable of altering their plans for the sake of the country….while the assholes do as they please knowing the government will have their backs…….oops….part of my post is coming out…..

      5. The working class, like the middle classes (the genuinely working, working class is actually a middle class to my mind anyway), generally get the government they deserve because they (just like everyone else) are too damned busy thinking of themselves to see what’s going on.

Only when the people stand up together with an ENORMOUS chunk of REALISM at the heart of what they are about can they take back the initiative…

If you allow yourself to become dependent on government and big business then they will BOTH screw you – probably at the same time!

      6. The problem is that the working class or the middle class (on which I agree) IS dependent on the government for their retirement….right now it is a law because we pay it every payday….if we had to depend on big business for our “investment’ we would be screwed even more than if the government had managed it…..

Like I keep saying…..why is the middle class responsible for the problems in the economy? And how are they the only ones that are pegged to fix it?

      7. Should not it be a collective endeavor, with an emphasis on those that cause the probs as the main players? I hate that when money needs to be raised it seems always on the backs of the MC, seldom do the others have to pay to play, so to speak……

      8. In principle, I agree, but the fact is that those people will NOT fix it and the government is powerless to force them (even if they were capable) simply because the government is either owned by them or even IS them – if you see what I mean…

For now, WE have to fix it. For the future, we have to get the f*ck out of their clutches, but will most people do that? There are two hopes of that and Bob’s dead, which leaves No (Hope that is).

      9. I am for some protests and if they get abit rowdy…then so be it……at least the French are showing some nuts in all this…..

      10. In general, I agree, but not in this instance because the French are shooting for the moon without a bloody rocket.

When WILL realism actually start to figure in ANY of this?

      11. I am with them on the the retirement thingy….I worked hard…and by GOD it is mine to have and have while I can enjoy it….

      12. I agree totally on the principle, but if the country doesn’t have the money, you can’t have it from the country, can you?

Yes I agree we’ve been cheated. Yes it’s a giant cock-up and probably fraud (in my eyes), but if the money’s gone it’s gone. You can bitch about it and you can try to lay the blame where it should rest and you can even jail the assholes if you can prove them guilty, BUT IT WON’T GET YOU THE MONEY YOU WERE PROMISED BECAUSE IT DOESN’T EXIST!

…and that’s the point about the French – what they were promised (just as what the Brits were promised) was NEVER going to be affordable long term – a five year old could have figured that out given the facts!

      13. We basically agree on this thing….here they could get most of the money by actually ending wars, ending government contracts and changing the tax code…..all doable….none will be done…..

BTW, tomorrow will be the pissy post on this…..please do not take offense…it is aimed mostly at Americans and their ostrich philosophy…

      14. I sometimes get a bit niggled – I rarely take offence and certainly not at what you write because I know you are honest and can discuss… unlike some!

    1. Hi Chris and thanx for the link…and yes, the plot thickens and we will have to see what tomorrow will bring…thanx again….

    2. A bit technical (and American) for me, but I get the point. The thing is, it seems to me that all they are doing is “playing lawyers” whilst the country and ordinary people go down the tubes.
