I am not a big fan of the military advertising….and I do not like the idea of any recruitment in schools other than printed stuff left for anyone to take…….
I saw the title of this piece and felt I needed to read it…….and after I read it I thought it asks some pretty good questions and made some good points…
In the US, young children are primed for military recruitment before they’re old enough to ask questions. How can we push back?

There are just some places that military recruitment should be banned…..kids already get enough pro-war crap in their vid games they really do not need it in school……
Is this indoctrination?
Just a thought.
“Is this indoctrination”
Yep! Just like we were in a more minimal way back in the 50’s starting with the Pledge of Allegiance
Nothing new. Kids march in line, work in teams, the class is a unit, individualism suppressed and come from neighborhoods as violent as any war zone (Chicago). In Miami drive-by shootings are so frequent they are a daily expectation far too many children and families. Then there is standardized test and standardized teaching rules an no input from the bottom up in education.
I agree our education is decided by who occupies the WH…..not about actually teaching……I find it sad….chuq
Too much here to comment…. I’d be here all day….
I’ll just say this; refrigerator magnets are the key….. When kids see the alphabet every day, on the fridge, they know the alphabet by age 2, and usually, read by age 4… My kids did, and so can any kid. Their minds BEFORE they are inundated by church, school, etc. are like sponges, soaking up all they can perceive…. Teach them how to think, and learn for themselves, and they are always protected from idiocy, mostly…. we ARE all human….
The governments, and their masters, the corporations, as George Carlin pointed out, want us just smart enough to run the machines, but, not smart enough to wonder why we do so….
gigoid, the dubious….
Carlin was a very astute person…..and a great social analyst….chuq
