There has been a bunch of debate about the term “American exceptionalism”…..I have argued that so much intervention by the US has it fighting battles that it should have avoided…..
I read an interesting article along those lines in the Washington Times…..(I know…go figure)…….
The modus operandi of the multi-trillion dollar military-industrial-terrorism complex (MITC) is as transparent as is Donald Trump’s narcissism.
The MITC manufactures conflicts by gratuitous interventions abroad. Then it demands trillions of dollars and limitless time to defeat the monsters it created.
The MITC bonanza never ends.
What stuns is not the modus operandi. All organizations covet expansion for the sake of expansion. What amazes is the willingness of the President, Congress, and the American people to feed a failed enterprise
Please read and comment. I am trying to help people see what is happening and it has little to do with some idle campaign promise or slogan……there are so many players that are playing the public like a cheap drum….and the media is a prime player in this drama…..

I vastly prefer the term “Military Industrial Spy Complex” because:
1) While Terrorism benefits from the activity of The Complex in terms of recruiting etc…and its growth leads in turn to growth in The Complex…Terrorism operates independently of the Complex (or so we’re told by official sources rather than “nutwad conspiracy theorists” 🙂 ). So it doesn’t really belong. I expect the argument is that Anti-terrorism activities are really what Terrorism is supposed to stand for, but the term just doesn’t make that obvious enough.)
2) Spying is really the previously unnamed element of The Complex that rises in response to the external threat of Terrorism. Spying is supplied domestically in terms of industry & employment, so it becomes an economic benefitter of The Complex’s activities. The original term was about the domestic, internal, vested interest that “responds to” the external threat and creates a self-fulfilling profit(cy).
3) I came up with it…(at least before seeing it used elsewhere).
4) It makes for a better short-form….MISC….(aka Miscellaneous) It implies an appropriate matter-of-factness to our current insanity. It’s such a widely accepted, non-controversial, practice now, it garners less attention than breathing.
MISC? I like it! May I use that in future posts if needed?

Nice to see what we’ve all been saying for a long time get into the MSM…. Those of us who see the big picture have known this for quite a while; it isn’t particularly surprising the media is far behind in finding the truth, since they are a big part of the problem, as you point out, for literally shilling for the MITC all the damn time… They are the ones who report all the bullshit interventions they commit, but, they never condemn them for it… they just report it as if it were really a crisis, rather than deliberate malfeasance….
It’s about time the pot realized it was black….
