Subject:  2010 Election Series

Lecture #1

This is the first in a week long series dealing with the 2010 mid-terms……..

As the mid-term elections of 2010 quickly approach (one week to be exact), there are a few things that voters need to know….(not that anyone will listen…but what the Hell!)

As we travel down the road to recovery or the road of destruction, depending on which side of the aisle that you stand, we see that NOTHING imaginable is anything new…..look at our situation…….

1–the economy of the country and especially the cities is in danger and chaos…

2–Average Americans struggle daily to make ends meet…

3–Legislators bought and sold by large corporations….

4–One misguided tax scheme after another….

5–Governmental bureaucrats catering to special interests….

6–Politicians mouthing empty slogans of concern for the country

7–A change of people in high places without any substantive change in policy…

Re-read the list….does that about sum up some of the problems we face as a country?  If so, then little has changed…for those symptoms of a wounded society were published by the People’s Bicentennial Commission on April of 1975…..

Merry Christmas….for all your concern…and all your hard work to elect this person or that and look….NOTHING has changed…..I do not care which one of the lame parties you choose….NONE are actually helping the American people….they only help themselves at the public trough…..

Why has nothing changed?  Your elected officials want to keep the status quo…it is their life’s blood…and it will NEVER change until the American people demand it and do it themselves…..they need to find and elect people that will truly work in their favor…find a way to take the money out of the political process and then we may find individuals that are really concerned with the direction of the country…..

If you approve of corporatism and favoritism and corruption and games…then by all means….sit back and take your whipping like a man….if this is not to your liking…. then get off your butt and help find the answers to return the US to its place in the world….After 35 years…what has been accomplished?  Not too damn much…granted one sector is making out like a bandit (pun intended)…….meanwhile the middle class is slowly circling the drain….all with the help of the people YOU have elected……elected?  Is that what you call the buying of representation?  You have NOTHING to do with the running of this country….if you did you would be much better off financially than you are today.

So by all means, keep voted for the endless line of idiots and thieves….I am talking about the ALL, Repub and Dem, and you can leave your children NOTHING as their inheritance when they run the country…..(now there is a scary thought…..people who think Jackass is entertainment will be running the country)

If not…then stick your head in the sand and allow your backside to be vulnerable……and they WILL take advantage!

  1. Yes, very true. As I say, I think if you look at representative democracy it is pretty crap at the best of times, but if you look at the American system of it, it is utter sh*t!

I personally believe that capitalism with its corportions and even its love of money (to a degree at least) is a viable and fairly benign way to run a society…

HOWEVER, corporations, money and ALL vested interests (whether they represent capital or special interests) should have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the political process – and the same applies to religion – ALL religion – since it amounts to no more than a number of special interest groups with potentially vested interests! Democracy is SOLELY about people – all the people. In spite of what your SCOTUS apparently thinks, corporations, churches, special interest groups and all the rest are entities – NOT people!

    1. I love it when these candidates come out with their plans….there is NOTHING new there……my problem is that I recall almost all bullshit promises and will not let it go…..that makes me an Agitator…..a title I truly deserve…..

      1. Ah, well… we all have a cross to bear in life 😆

Yes, I know what you mean – even if they are at any occasional time right (which seems rare at least), the problems are MUCH deeper and FAR more fundamental than anything they are even hinting should be tackled!

      2. Oh yeah…..keep an eye out….I will be doing a post a day until the election on the BS as I see it…..hopefully some voters will pay attention….

  2. Why has nothing changed?

Because since the 1960s and the sexual liberation movement (along with the civil rights and feminist movements), liberalism has hooked its poisonous claws into the very soul of this country.

It’s all about pandering to special groups in order to stay in power. Men will always seek power. They will always seek wealth. But now we’ve placed a heavy yoke upon the average American citizen — socialism. They must surrender their individual sovereignty and wealth for the “good of the state.”

In fact, some of these Marxists are such idealogues, that they actively seek to endanger citizens’ welfare in order to fulfill their utopian goals of “parity & equality & social justice.” Did you check out Heather MacDonald’s latest over at City Journal? You can read it here.

    1. Just look around….if you think something has changed please share…..BTW there is NO socialism in American politics and not a Marxist among them…….BTW modern conservatism is a liberal political thought process…….The Washington Times is spreading manure just like the NY Times……stuff like this is why this country is traveling downward…there is NO longer a debate…just accusations, misinformation and out right lies…on both sides… is no longer about the country but rather who pays the most to get elected…….that is why we are in the fix we are in at this point in history…..

      1. Oh poo. Don’t give me that crap. Have you read some of the writings compiled at

They sound like something most Democrat politicians could have written. This universalist – social justice – equal outcomes – penalize the successful – crap is straight out of the Marxist playbook.

But “Marxist” is still like dropping the f-bomb and so policitians who want to keep their power will obviously not self-identify as one.

Thanks to the Citizens United case, I don’t think it’s about who pays the most to get elected anymore. I’ve seen so many different advertisements from different organizations (non-profit and private) for various candidates… it’s the coolest thing ever. Finally the “little man” can band together with other “little men” and really put the fire behind the candidate they believe will support them the most.

      2. The only poop that has been slung is by those that think that social democracy is socialism….similar yes, in a few ways….but to me it is not socialism….if the corporations rule the day it is NOT socialism….and Obama and Bush and every other pea brain that Americans had voted for are NO socialist….

But you are right….using Marxist is like the f bomb and if you want to scare the voter then you label them with something that will instill fear….and fear makes one stupid….gives one tunnel vision….and makes one act without thought….

I wish the US luck with that……and please name one of the organizations of the “little man” that is making a difference……not the ones with cutesy names like “Americans For Progress” or any of those……which ones are they?……

If it is okay for this thing then make it mandatory to publish who, what and how much… more hiding behind cutesy names to deceive….

  3. The American Taxpayers Union, for one, wolf.

Social democracy is just a fancy name for watered-down socialism. We are not a “democracy.” We’re a constitutional republic based on a written set of laws whose people democratically elect their representatives.

Social democracies always slide into socialism because the masses will always vote to give themselves more money, whether that be in the form of free health care, welfare checks, or social programs. And they’re always in bed with massive corporations who tend to have more than just a foot in the door of the government because without those massive corporations, there’d be no wealth to redistribute.

    1. Everything that caters to the whims of big corporations is NOT socialism….I am as sick of that as I was of those on theLeft that called Bush a Fascist…neither is true…socialists would not let Insurance companies write health reform….the socialist would NOT let banks write FinReg……etc…etc…etc…..calling something a thing does NOT make it so…..

Why is the Tea Party so concerned with social programs? And they turn a blind eye to the wealthy donations that are playing them like cheap drums? The TP wants to cut spending…..where?…the TP wants a balanced budget….how?….the TP wants tax cuts to stim the economy….but we have them now and there is NO stim for the economy….the TP is worried about jobs…but where will they come from or better yet how will they produce the necessary jobs?

Yes, we need corporations….but we need corporations that worry about the country not the dividend……corp[orations are using the economic crisis to fire people and cut their payrolls or move them overseas……that could explain why the economy sucks and the Markets are going well… is about the bottom line for the Hedge Funds that own their shares….they crae NOTHING about you, your children or this country and the Tea Party is leading the charge…..sorry…..
