I enjoy reading the stuff by Robert Parry….he has a good grip on foreign policy and has some very insightful writings…..
It is no secret that I do not agree much with Obama and his team of lackeys on foreign policy…….he started off as the anti-war candidate and morphed into a neocon who seems to have imperialistic tendencies.
There are not many in Washington that I consider ‘experts’ at foreign policy or international relations…..they all seem to be stuck in the Cold War mindset…….which is not only outdated but extremely dangerous.
Obama’s foreign policy is a riddle that seems to have a very limited answer………

Is there an explanation for all this chaos in American foreign policy?
This piece in the World Affairs Journal does try to explain what is happening with our approach to world affairs…….we will soon make our choice for the next president and maybe now would be a good time to learn as much as possible about our foreign policy……that is if you truly care about this country and the future of your children…..but I may be a bit presumptuous.
Or you could just do what you have done for decades……just vote for the jerk with the best hair or the biggest mouth……and then bitch about what a slob he/she is……

I agree with your position. Keep hearing things about.how global chaos is going to erupt in September…well, it is now September. My late aunt said BO would try to enact executive order to.stay in office.
Personally, Obama is ready to get as far away from DC as he can…..the problem is that he is leaving a Helluva mess in foreign policy…..and I do not see a candidate that will repair all the damage….neither party has anyone capable of fixing things….chuq
Let’s hope he is ready to leave. Jury is out on that thought. Also hope the point of no return hasn’t been crossed.
I am positive that he will flee as soon as possible…I mean I would…..that cesspool is not worth the effort anymore…..
I hope. His ego is scary huge, though. It is sad…he proclaimed he was cleaning up the mess…his successor(?) will do the same. Never-ending cycle.
Politicians all have huge egos that is why they ALL fail miserably…
I think America may be on the verge of becoming ungovernable by reason of its size and diversity and that some form of reorganization might be called for in the near future.
You may be right….we NO longer think as a country……that is where we will fail….without common goals NO government will succeed.

Considering the author is director of the Foreign Service Institute, the training center for American diplomats, this tells me that a reality-check of truly massive proportions is in order. Hopefully it won’t be too destructive.
I am still looking on how we are making things better….I hear that from some circles and cannot for the life of me to see where we are doing so….
