The government and the media is traveling a road hand in hand……almost daily we are told of some situation that can fan the fires of fear. The obvious is ISIS….but there have been many many others like Ebola, vaccinations, lone wolves, illegal immigrants and the beat goes on…….never fear……. (no pun intended)…….. there will be others depending on the news that is chosen to be reported. My question is, since we will be scared into submission, who should we fear the most? Should we fear ISIS? How about Russia? Maybe it should be the “Lone Wolf”? Let’s look beyond the obvious news and think of others……should it be immigrants? How about the president? It is maybe same sex marriage…….. No, no, wait…..maybe it should be the government? We Americans are told to fear a lot……and we do. The answer to the question is simple…..they will fear whatever their news source tells them to fear……besides that is what they, the people, want…..they want to be afraid……of something. What they should fear most is that they seldom get the whole truth from the media. The news is no longer for the information they can provide but rather whatever dialog the government and corporate world wants them to push. It is solely a tool of propaganda. If a person truly wants the truth or at least an unbiased version then they must go hunting for it……the real problem is that the American people do not want the truth but rather news that will validate any view they may have. But they will continue to be fed fearsome stuff that they can lap up and their concerns for safety will change weekly if not daily. We thump our chests and tell everyone that we are afraid of nothing…….but blogs tell a different story…..if you put any faith in them then we as a country are afraid of just about everything. What will be the driving fear of tomorrow?

Rhonda….I have a Twitter account and all it is for is news…..the BBC does a fair job on reporting…not as much fluff…..
I read a story and then ask myself if it sounds feasible…..if not then I go searching for all sides and then I draw my opinion when I have as much facts as possible…
Keep in mind I have been doing this type of stuff for 40+ years….kinda comes natural after awhile, I guess…

BTW, you have a lifetime of doing this stuff, I think you have gotten the hang of it! That’s why I reblog you so much! LOL You have so much wisdom, my friend. I trust you and your knowledge. You won’t give any BS, you shoot straight and all the fluff falls off. THAT I appreciate. I will eventually learn how to do that too, if I hang around long enough! Whether you like it or not, you are mentoring me so that I can be a better blogger and give people better information. Right now, I am simply giving them what is either sent to my email box (like the Con. Paul email) or the videos from Brigittel Gabrielle who I wholeheartedly admire for her courage and bravery for all that she has overcome and what she is doing now. She actually was the keynote speaker to the UN! Not just anyone can do that. So I will be posting her videos. It is straight from their mouths and not mine. The same with finding videos from the President and posting them. Straight from HIS mouth and not mine. When I have something to say, I will say it, like I did about Rudy Guianni. I completely agree with him. And he has the courage to say it! Good for him! No one inside the Capital Hill has the courage to represent their constituents. Its sickening. I may write about that again. I don’t know. I have to respond to Congressman Paul Ryan’s letter to me that I posted on my blog as promised. He did not answer both of my questions. Just one, the coward. I will respond and see if he does. If so, I will post both… what I send him and what he sends back, IF he sends anything back. I am so tired of unsubscribing from all of their emails. It’s ridiculous!
At any rate, I appreciate your friendship and your patience with me. I want to learn from you as much as I can. And I appreciate that you are willing to give me pointers. I found the movie on YouTube but I’m going to ask my husband to see if its at the Video Store the next time he goes to rent DVD’s. I looked on our free movies on Dish Network but it wasn’t there. Maybe it is under the pay ones… I’ll look there. I want to watch it on the TV rather than on the laptop. I saw the trailer for it… its old and in black and white. I may have to take notes as my memory is short. Thank you, Chuq, for being a friend and an unwilling mentor! LOL I appreciate you very much!

I know… I just called his office in DC and got the same message and then pressed the button for my local office and got the same message so I left a message that I want HIM to return my call. LOL I know someone in the local office will return the call but boy will s/he get an earful!
