Trump’s Revolution

Voting over and Donald Trump has pulled off an amazing upset….an upset that was not seen by the so-called “experts”…..why?  They live in a bubble of their own making…..not interested in what the people want or need…..and it has finally come back to bite them hard in the ass…..

Donald Trump has done the unthinkable – unthinkable, that is, to the sneering elites: the “journalists” who have been spending their days snarking at Trump on Twitter, the DC mandarins who disdained him from the beginning, and the foreign policy “experts” who gasped in horror as he challenged the basic premises of the post-World War II international order. And he did it by overcoming a host of the most powerful enemies one could conjure: The Republican Establishment, the Democratic party machine, the Money Power, and a media united in their hatred of him.

That this is a revolution is a bit of an understatement: revolutions are usually national in scope. This is an earthquake that will shake the whole world.

  1. Those words…Trump is the revolution I said to ned hamson just under a year ago…he is a staunch Hillary supporter….what people forget is that rednecks are the farmers who work in the field thereby getting red necks from the sun….the people have spoken….she said, the old anarchist.. 🙂

  2. Trump with a Republican controlled House and Senate…. this is all going to be very interesting. His success will be determined by whether he unites the country or divides it further.

      1. #Trump advisors considers Jamie Dimon for treasury secretary. Great! You can’t believe it. Wall St. Crime Syndicate running US.
        Happy days….

  3. A post like this one, obviously, stimulates comments. After reading it all, comments included, it became clear my own patience with the idea of political activism is eroding, if not completely defunct. My philosophy seems to be evolving toward strict anarchy, simply because trying to get humans to act rationally in groups just isn’t in the picture; our nature is too contentious, and too willing to adopt unreality as truth, to save our own feelings…

The post also clearly would require a full blown rant to describe all my thoughts on ‘the recent unpleasantness, but, I’ll spare everyone that today, as I’m making a valiant attempt to catch up to all I’ve missed.

Plus, the angst just doesn’t seem to be there; my unconscious mind, I believe, is less worried about it all than I am out here in the face of reality. So, I’ll leave it at this: the word ‘revolution’ means, simply, change. So, if Trump’s election stimulates that, that’s all good with me. I doubt seriously he’ll have the effect everyone thinks he will; no one person can significantly alter our cultural inertia so easily. It is always wise to remember that the effects of whatever any President does do not show immediately, and the full effect can only be calculated over time….

The media, and those in power, would have us believe any changes affect reality immediately, thus making people buy into their agendas; it simply isn’t true, but, allows them to more easily manipulate the uneducated.

I think the most accurate statement that can be made on the ascent of the donald is, the future promises to be ‘interesting’, if nothing else….

    gigoid, the dubious
