Personal–I bought a new washing machine….the cheapest and it cost me $700 and then I had to  call a plumber to install a new valve….another $150….been a quiet week on the health front but that all changes next week…..I have a date for a colon check then a urologist then a cancer doctor and not sure what else….I am going to be in a shitty mood the whole week I fear….so please bear with me.

Let’s start with something that is in the news almost daily….robots….

Robot soldiers…..

Robot supersoldiers — what could go wrong with those? A lot, if The Terminator taught us anything. Yet, the reality of robot soldiers could be much closer than one might believe.

Sankaet Pathak, the CEO of the startup Foundation Future Industries — founded in 2024 and having ties to Eric Trump — recently told Wired that the company will soon be exploring giving its humanoid robots lethal capabilities. He explained, “We have some kinetic things we’re exploring. We’ll probably unveil something in the next couple of months.”

These upcoming so-called robot supersoldiers won’t only be suitable for combat. Additionally, plans are for them to be beneficial in other areas, such as reconnaissance and logistics. But just what kind of potential timeline are we looking at for humanoids in the military (and is that even a good idea)?

Those humanoid robots…..

People have been fantasizing about humanoid robots for decades. Movies such as Blade Runner, Ex Machina, and A.I. Artificial Intelligence imagined a future where robots and AI could interact with humans and save them from loneliness. Today, those sci-fi stories seem to be closer to reality than ever before, as Chinese company Ubtech has recently launched a product it calls the world’s first full-size, mass-produced “ultrabionic” companion robot.

China is already a world leader in humanoid robotics, but most robots have so far been designed for industrial work. Now Ubtech is hoping to enter a new market with its Uworld U1 series of companion robots designed for home use.

The global trend of loneliness is becoming more and more disturbing. Ironically, we live in a time when we have the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world, yet it has become very difficult for many of us to build real-life relationships. That’s exactly the problem that Ubtech is trying to solve with its product.

In the early stages of introducing the new robots, the company made very ambitious claims.

Food and food stuffs….

The nation is fighting a cripple outbreak and produce is the culprit….

Human waste is at the center of the biggest cyclospora outbreak on record in the US, and investigators are trying to trace how it ended up on our plates. The parasite lives in people, passes out through diarrhea, and can later sicken someone who eats produce tainted with its eggs—often via contaminated irrigation water or the unwashed hands of farmworkers, per the New York Times. More than 6,000 people in Michigan alone have fallen ill, evidence of what one food safety microbiologist calls a “surprising scale” of fecal contamination in the food supply.

Cyclospora is tough to kill and challenging to wash off: Chlorine treatments target bacteria, not parasites, and the organism’s “sticky” eggs cling to textured foods like raspberries and cilantro. Past outbreaks have been tied to Guatemalan raspberries that were contaminated with a pesticide-water mix fouled by latrine runoff, and to bagged salad traced to a Florida farm where a local irrigation canal tested positive for the parasite. Experts say a single sick worker is unlikely to explain the current surge; widespread contamination of water or equipment is more plausible.

Careful what you eat….speaking of eating a 2 star chef just got is pee-pee whacked….

The owner of a South Korean restaurant with two Michelin stars is facing possible prison time over a sorbet topping: dried ants. Prosecutors in Seoul have asked a court to sentence the unnamed restaurateur to one year in jail and fine the company that runs the restaurant 20 million won (about $13,500) for using ants as a garnish in violation of the Food Sanitation Act, reports the Korea Herald.

Ants are not among the 10 insect species—which include grasshoppers, mealworms, and silkworm pupae, per the Guardian—the country allows for human consumption. The BBC reports Ministry of Food and Drug Safety officials realized ants were being used after seeing online reviews with photos that diners had posted.

he owner admitted serving the ants on some desserts in his 15-course menu but says diners were told of the garnish in advance and could choose alternatives like vinegar or edible flowers. Officials believe an estimated 49,000 dried ants from the US and Thailand were used by the restaurant over four years; the restaurant said the figure is incorrect, as it was based on all diners consuming the ants, when only 60% opted to do so. Court documents do not specify the restaurant or its owner, but the Times cites local media as reporting it’s Evett, run by Australian chef Joseph Lidgerwood. The court’s verdict is due Sept. 2.

Please do not get me started on today’s chefs…..it is not pretty.

A little health stuff…..

Men and a ‘bag of worms’…..just a bit of FYI….

Most men who discover they have a varicocele find out by accident. A routine physical exam, an ultrasound for something else, or a fertility workup triggers the diagnosis – and in many cases, the man had no idea anything was wrong. The condition often causes no pain. There’s no lump anyone could feel from the outside. Yet its effects on the internal environment of the testicle can be considerable..

A varicocele is an enlargement of the veins inside the scrotum, specifically a network of small blood vessels called the pampiniform plexus. According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, these vessels become abnormally dilated when the valves within the testicular veins stop working properly, allowing blood to pool rather than flow efficiently back toward the heart. The result is a cluster of widened, twisted veins wrapped around the testicle – which is where the “bag of worms” description comes from. Patient.info notes that a large varicocele is sometimes described as looking and feeling exactly like that in the scrotum.

Once again I bring you one of those predictions that none of us will be here to see if they are right….never mind it was all bullshit anyway….and not worth the effort to post on it.

In closing I have a new one for you….Male Lesbians….

Although there is still a long way to go when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights, in 2026 people are generally able to express themselves, and while they may not adhere to traditional labels, there are now so many out there that one should stick.

Many people within the queer community no longer identify as male or female, gay or straight.

However, even newer terms such as demi-sexual or pan-sexual are failing to fit some people’s identity, and there is a new label on the block.

On social media, the term “Male Lesbians” is taking off as a growing number of people are choosing to identify with a label which at first seems completely contradictory.
