Announcement

I am sure that there are some that are hoping that I will take some time off from blogging…..for you see I am a bit testy some times…..

I hate to be the bearer of bad news for the aforementioned but I am going NO where……I will be posting less over the next month or so…..

This announcement is two-fold…..”the lonelyauthorblog” comments have made me look at my writings….. I have decided to take his advice and change the attitude of IST…..during one of our exchanges he pointed out that I was using some pretty insulting rhetoric….that I was beginning to read like so many others on the right (this part is my words not his)…..after some deliberation I see what he meant……I had become that which I detested……truthfully it is not something that I would want to admit……but I feel I must.

I will attempt to be more reasonable in my criticism of people that I disagree with on issues….I cannot promise that my sharp tongue will completely disappear….only that I will try to be more understanding and word my post thusly…..I thank him for his honesty and his words….

Now for the main reason for this post…..I have been asked to lecture at a local college on the Middle East and American foreign policy in the Middle East…..so I will be limited in the time that I am able to write and post.  Most of my time will be spent putting together a plan for the class and some research…..I start this adventure on 04Jan2016……

And while I am there I will audit a course on American Foreign policy…never hurts to be refreshed in your knowledge……that is if you desire knowledge….if not just listen to Right wingers and be stuck in 1920’s…..

There will be posts everyday just not as many as I usually post….plus I will answer all comments just maybe not as quickly as before….so please do not fret there will be a reply coming.

I want to thank all of my followers for their time and attention to In Saner Thought…..it is always a joy to interact with each and every one that cares to do so…..and I want you guys to know that I appreciate your patronage of IST.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions please feel free to let me know….I am always open to my readers…..

    And I’m not too sure you’re rhetoric is necessarily unwarranted. The right has pushed the political spectrum so far to the right that objections to this must be vocal.

  3. Mostly ditto what Lady P said…. I, too, noted some recent testiness, but, who the fuck cares? You can’t say anything so bad it isn’t true, or deserved. so, fuck ’em if they can’t take it….

    Change is always good, when we get to choose the direction; as pointed out in Lady P’s comment, reality is our choice; we only exist in Consensual Reality when we choose to pay any attention to it….

    I’m looking forward to what occurs; bound to be interesting….

      1. In the 35 years I knew him, I heard my father use a vulgar word once, when my older, teen brother had tested his patience as far as it went…. He said, with great vigor, “Fuck!”… Other than that, ‘damn’, on rare occasions, was the worst he’d say… He was the Robert Mitchum type; his eyes told you what you needed to know….

        Keep a Roget’s Thesaurus on your desk by the comp; at least, when you remember, it can supply alternate versions of the word we WANT to use….

        I just usually forget it’s there…

Some of the most beautiful records in my vast collection have scratches that make a slight popping noise when the needle runs over them but the little “pops” do not ever harm the beauty of the renditions at all because it is not the sound of the vehicle delivering the saving grace — It is the message — and there are some people in this old world who won’t listen to anything or anybody unless they get a little slap up aside the head once in a while. I like you no matter how you talk!

    So, we can expect your production to drop down to a paltry…5-6 topics a day? Hehe. Hell, if I dedicate my entire day to it, I’ll almost be able to keep up!

    And maybe it’s just me, but I haven’t spotted anything “testy”, “negative” or “insulting” here. (Other than my shit, perhaps.)

  7. You silly twit, testy, negative, and/or insulting is what I read you for!!!! That and actual info. All of us can use a spot of inner reflection but let us not go overboard. Your opinions, while I don’t always agree, are refreshing…almost spontaneous….and you have a great following and follow through.

    So, take a little time off and think about what others say…BUT “don’t change a thing for me, not if you care for me, stay little valentine stay…”
