As a combat veteran I can tell you that all avenues should be explored before you commit US troops……with all the macho rhetoric these days about the Middle East….I feel that the Us and the M-IC is forcing the country into a rush to war….not a place I want to see this country go…..again.
Sorry to bust any bubbles….but the decisions made to use US troops is looking more amateurish every day and with every decision….

I wouldn’t mind seeing a few thousand combat troops deployed in the fight against ISIS if it weren’t for the fact that we have our military spread out in more than 130 different geographical locations as it is and I just don’t think we can afford to be spread that thin.
Once we add more troopsd to the fight and we will have Vietnam type escalation and in the end we will be condemning a whole generation to the problems our vets are facing now…..I say let some one else do the heavy lifting….we can support which we would do any way…..chuq

Hmmm… what I’d like to see is this country rushing away from any war. In my entire life, as it turns out, this country has had troops in other countries, fighting, every fucking year of my life. Since the end of WWII, beginning with Korea, we’ve been at war without end, since the day I was born, in 1950…. After Korea, (a war NOT voted on by Congress) we have been engaged in warfare all over the world, every day, every year of my life… and, I have yet to see any session of the US Congress commit us to a war, as it is supposed to be done, according to the Constitution. Not a single vote to support ANY of the actions our Presidents have involved us in…. all at the behest of American business interests, most importantly, the arms manufacturers…
Is anyone else aware that this country sells more weaponry, to everyone in the world with the money to pay, than any other on the planet? Has anyone ever even ASKED any of our sitting Presidents WHY they not only ALLOW such sales to our enemies as well as our allies, but, WHY the information is not made public? NO, of course not, because, deep down, I don’t think American WANT to know the truth any more. If they did, the entire country would commit suicide, right after ripping our so-called leader to shreds with their bare hands, for having continuously lied to us for more than 75 years….
Now, let the right-wingers, or lefties, for that matter, deny the Truth of ANY of the forgoing… go ahead. My evidence is right out there in the headlines….
This country has not fought a legal war, according to our Constitution, since 1941. That, ffolkes, and folks, is a FACT….
We love war; else why would we ignore it every time it slaps us in the face?
