All of Donny’s antics from crapping up DC to War to entitlements loss he still gets an approval rating that I find fascinating….

At the end of August, approval polling averages showed President Donald Trump (R) at 41% approval. Fifty-six percent of voters disapproved of his performance. The lowest average approval rating of his second term was 39%, last seen on Aug. 25, 2026. The highest average approval rating of his second term was 54%, last seen on Jan. 22, 2025.

At the end of August, average congressional approval was 16%, and disapproval was 62%. The lowest average approval rating the 119th Congress has received was 12%, last seen on May 26, 2026. The highest average approval rating it has received was 37%, last seen on July 1, 2025.

At this point in Trump’s first term, average presidential approval was two points higher at 43%, and average congressional approval was three points higher at 19%. At this point in the Biden administration, average presidential approval was one point higher at 42%, and average congressional approval was four points higher at 20%.

A recent poll by the same people found that 61% of respondents say the country is heading in the wrong direction….and yet they gave him a 41% approval rating.  Is it just me or are these people fucked up?

First I disagree with the 19% approval for Congress…..for me I would give them less than 10%……why?  They have done nothing in this session but chase minor diversions….I expect more from an ‘opposition’ party.

Seriously there is still 41% that approve of Donny yet 54% disapprove of his presidential performance…..WTF?

Do the respondents realize that it is difficult to separate the man from his performance?

Have the people that took this poll watching the same country in decline as myself?

This poll illustrates why I do not put much confidence in their results….first they are merely a snapshot of the day they were taken….second I am not positive that the respondents actually knew what they were responding to….thirdly, this tells me that most people have no idea what is actually happening to the rest of the country they are only interested in their petty lives.

I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on this poll.
