Covid-19 And Southeast Asia

A friend and fellow blogger, Caleb of United States Hypocrisy brought the report up that there are NO reported deaths in Vietnam and got me to thinking that I had not seen much info coming out of Southeast Asia……so the old Professor decided to do something about the lack of info.

Plus I have several visitors from the region….Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia……I want these visitors to know that they are much appreciated…..thank you.

  1. Quite a few countries have reported no confirmed case of the virus. That does make me think they might be downplaying the figures, to tempt tourists, or foreign investment. Or maybe I am just TOO cynical?
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Vietnam has done a really great job from what I’ve been seeing on the news, though obviously I can’t speak for the Vietnamese. I saw during the early weeks on Twitter the quarantined had pizza and pancakes delivered to them. They have also been sending aid to the United States in spite of that awful war. They are truly a lovely and admirable people! ❤️ 🇻🇳

    1. I still do not trust the reporting…..after all it is state controlled….interesting that we will accept aid from Vietnam but not from Cuba which has lots of experience u health issues. chuq
