Here We Go Again!
WE have had enough damn hurricanes this year….one for Florida, one for Texas, one for Puerto Rice and the last one for Mississippi……as far as I am concerned then I say enough already!
But nope! There is yet another storm cooking out in the Atlantic, Ophelia….
Tropical Storm Ophelia is becoming better organized far out in the eastern Atlantic and is expected to become a hurricane sometime Thursday, reports the AP. As the 10th consecutive storm to reach hurricane strength, it would break a record more than a century old, per the Miami Herald. The National Hurricane Center said Tuesday that Ophelia was located about 780 miles west-southwest of the Azores. The storm has maximum sustained winds of 50mph and is moving southeast at about 5mph. There are currently no coastal watches or warnings in effect with the storm far out at sea.
Really? Something else for me to keep my eyes on for a couple of days….
Let’s hope it shows some respect and goes about the way of the do-do…..it is turning more East and heading toward Europe….hopefully it will die out before it can do any damage.
Ophelia does not have her eyes on us. If anyone should keep an eye on here – it’s Ireland.
JUst hope the cold water slows it down and no one has to deal with a storm….chuq
We are due the tail end of one of those soon. They are talking about property damage, and 70 mph+ gusts. Nothing as bad as you get though.
Regards, Pete.
Still wind damage is not a pretty sight…hoe it dies down before it gets there….chuq
