Let me begin with the Olympics that I watched…..US women’s rugby team tied world champs Australia 12-12 and lost in the quarter finals to New Zealand 5-0….Soccer US women beat France 1-0…..US women’s air rifle won GOLD….US Women;s trap…Bronze……
This election of 2016 is proving just how much of farce American democracy has become….it has become a spectator sport…..voter input is pure illusion.
The thing is, people get it. One way or another, they realize they aren’t being represented by most of the people they vote for. They realize, in enormous numbers, that the time has come to rescue this country from a status quo that thinks it owns us. That’s the subtext of Election 2016, whatever winds up happening in November. Public anger has transcended the mass media’s excruciating efforts to contain and minimize the national debate about the country’s direction.
What would it take to cause Hillary Clinton to distance herself from the newly launched bombing campaign in Libya? Or call for a congressional debate on it? Or suggest the obvious: that the war on terror isn’t working?
Of course it won’t happen. But the fact that it sounds so absurd — almost as fanciful as the notion of movie characters stepping off the screen into real life — indicates how illusory, how unglued from reality, American democracy is at the presidential level. It’s a spectator sport — mud wrestling, say — doled out to us as entertainment by the media in sound bites and poll numbers.
Public input couldn’t be less relevant to what we actually do as a nation, and as an empire.

I would ask the voter/public to step back from this illusion and take an honest look at the future…..of course that is a pipe dream for we are too angry over this stupid issue or that….
I weep for “you can’t fix stupid”!
And this election is chock full of stupid on so many levels.
And the election will do NOTHING to rid ourselves of this stupidity if anything it will get much worse……

She is my heart and we have great game days like chess, dominoes, backgammon or we discuss stuff she feels important….I write this blog basically for her so after I crap out she can still visit with the old fart….

The first olympic games to be held on a virtual garbage dump in the neighborhood of raw sewage — a diversion to keep people’s minds off the real issues of the world … a circus trick to keep the masses mentally massaged so the elites can do their thing is privacy and comfort … a total waste of time and money …. I can’t wait for all the stories to come out about who was doped up and who was not. These things are archaic and should be abandoned completely.
