Europe on the Brink

Europe seems to be falling apart before the eyes of the world…..in the last year there have been attacks, riots and general unrest.

Europe is dealing with the situation in a way that will lead to further incidents……I have been reading an article (pressed below) in the World Affairs publication and thought that I would press it for my readers to see and possibly comment…..

Europe is at much greater risk of attack than the United States. The lack of civic identity precludes the assimilation necessary to forestall violence, both among Islamic radicals and the far right.

The one thing that has been overlooked by many is that the European attacks were done by CITIZENS of the various countries…..not from some stealthy 5th column that has been infiltrated into the countries.

Side Note:  I the coming weeks, possibly months, I will be writing a series on terrorism…..it will be a rational look at the phenom without all the emotional trappings we are seeing and reading these days.

Please watch for those in the near future…..

  1. As is made clear, the lack of ‘commhair’ among the people of Europe contributes to the unrest and danger. (Commhair = Gaelic for ‘community’, the sense of belonging when living according to natural laws… i.e. “It is in the shelter of each other that people live.”…) However, it is also true that ANY sort of feeling of national pride, or nationalism in any form, remains the basic problem, as this reinforces the feelings of ‘differences’ amongst people who really have none. As long as people cling to any of those highlighted ‘differences’ there will continue to be conflict.

As I have said before, people need to grow the fuck up, and quit all this nationalistic, religious dependence on delusions, upon which our entire culture is based. It’s going to end up killing us all if we don’t; and, it won’t matter WHERE you live, or who your parents were, or any of that bullshit….. It will kill us ALL….

    gigoid, the dubious

  2. “Maintaining 24/7 human and technical surveillance on just one target requires something like two dozen operatives, and even the larger European security services can effectively watch only a few handfuls of would-be terrorists at one time.” – linked article

Now there’s something you barely ever hear in this era of constant, unquestioned, mass surveillance!

Every idiot out there has spent the last couple decades watching 3 hours of crime shows a night that are magically “solved” by surveillance videos. We’ve been nicely trained to think that shit works so well, its the solution to everything! Except that:

    1) It costs shit-loads of money.
    2) It still doesn’t stop bad shit from happening.

      1. There is no such thing as “human intelligence”. It’s another one of those oxymorons.
