Do Military Leaders Deserve Our Trust?

Trust is a fleeting thing…..especially in the US….the leader we trusted yesterday is today dog….we American have been putting out trust in the wrong direction for decades now.

The question here has been asked…..do they deserve our trust?

This article questions our military leaders…we have been deifying these people since World War One……are they truly deserving?

Senior U.S. military leaders are becoming indistinguishable from their political counterparts in disregarding the public.

  1. I would say what is missing in the overall picture is not trust in military leaders, but, rather, a degree of canniness on the part of the public. The typical American is what I would call both mentally malleable, and, gullible. They will believe almost anything, no matter how ridiculous it may be, or sound, if it comes from one of the sources they have been TRAINED to trust without question. Anyone speaking from a pulpit in a church, or from a podium with flags behind them, or a talking head on TV, are never questioned anywhere near what should be done; mostly it’s never done at all. They, the American people, have lost whatever courage and sanity our forefathers possessed, given up freely for the mind-numbing contentment fostered by their delusional masters….

It’s not the leaders; they’re warriors, and are trained to use deception as a tool of war. Politicians are also well versed in spreading only the information they wish to use to control others. Combine that with the gullibility and mental shackles worn by almost every American, and it’s really no surprise to note the insanity of what is going on….

In short, the public gets exactly what it expects, and deserves….

  2. Not that I ever put much trust in either, but I trust them even less than I used to. Like the story says, the line between military leadership and the politicos is quietly dissolving.

The rotating door between the government & industry has eroded all trust there. Likewise, there’s now a rotating door between military leadership and the MISC industries. Yesterday, General X bought the weapon system. Today, General X lobbies his replacement to buy the “replacement” for that weapon system.

    1. When in the military I trusted only one officer….my CO in Vietnam he told us upfront what the deal would be….it is all a money game like everything in the US…
