A Turn For The Worse?

US Congressman Scalise that was shot during a baseball practice has taken a turn for the worse and is once again in ICU…..

Lawmakers from both parties were praying for Rep. Steve Scalise Wednesday night after the congressman’s condition worsened and he was readmitted to the intensive care unit at a Washington, DC hospital. The MedStar Washington Center Hospital says the Republican, who was shot during practice for a congressional baseball game three weeks ago, was readmitted to the ICU “due to new concerns for infection” and his condition is listed as serious, Politico reports. Scalise spent nine days in intensive care after being shot in the hip during the June 14 shooting. He required several surgeries after the bullet fractured bones, injured internal organs, and caused severe bleeding.

Scalise has been hospitalized since the shooting, in which four other people were injured and gunman James Hodgkinson was fatally injured by police. Earlier this week, Rep. Phil Roe told Tennessee station WJHL that he hopes his friend will recover enough to attend the University of Tennessee and Louisiana State University football game this fall, the Washington Post reports. “He’s just out of bed. He’s not able to eat yet. But he is getting better,” Roe said.

Hate Crime or Domestic Terrorism?

Orlando the site of the latest piece of domestic terrorism…….and this country spends its time pouting and whining about what to call the act.

Sad part of this incident is the mindless speculation from the media and most of the Right…..

Like all forms of terrorism…the subject is boiled down to it’s simplest parts…..that way the speculation appears to be news when all it does is obfuscate the subject……

So was this attack a hate crime or possibly domestic terrorism?

US law enforcement is at least initially categorizing the horrific Orlando shootings as “domestic terrorism.”

I don’t think it probably was terrorism in any useful sense of the term.

I used to know what domestic terrorism was, before the term became politicized in the past decade. It was defined right there in the Federal code of 1992:

I know that most people have arrived at what they believe is the root cause of this act….but I ask that before a reply is sent at least read the article and address the parts that you either agree with or those with which you disagree….

Sorry sports fans but this whole conversation about the attack in Orlando has gone from a horrific act to a condemnation of a religion to the ban of all guns……

And as always happens with this type of violent act…..the diversions are numerous…..the media needs the speculation and the political arena needs the focus to go where it does not belong…..

Keep in mind that this site tends to voice a Libertarian point of view…..

Right from the start, the Orlando shooting made no sense to me and I said so pretty clearly in an article I posted the same day. You can read the full article here, so I will only mention my main conclusion: that this event had nothing to do with homosexuality, Islam or guns and that:

If this is not about homosexuality, Islam or guns, what is it about?

It is about making us believe that is is about homosexuality, Islam and guns, of course!

Less than 24 hours later, two of the key aspects of the official narrative (really, “spin”) are now already falling apart.

30 Syrian boys raped at Turkish refugee camp

If you can recall as far back as January of this year you will remember the media story of the gang that was raping people in Germany…..Hamburg, I believe…..and as one would expect the mental midget jumped on this to be an indicator that ALL refugees are rapists, thugs and terrorists….

This story fed their hatred and their conspiracy theory……and I wanted to see if if there were other incidents, from reliable sources, of any further criminal activity……I found one but it will not feed the paradigm of hatred that most of the morons push….

Thirty Syrian children were raped for months at a Turkish refugee camp and government authorities failed to notice, according to BirGün newspaper. It comes amid allegations that Turkey is not a safe country for asylum seekers.

The 30 boys were raped by a cleaner at Nizip Refugee Camp in Antep, from September 2015 until the beginning of 2016.

The rapist, identified only as E.E., has confessed that he lured children between the ages of eight and 12 to have sex with him in return for 2 to 5 Turkish Lira (US$.70-1.80). He is now in pre-trial detention.

There is NOTHING patriotic about these gutless mental midgets……but today we will be told all about the American patriots that are fighting for our rights……most of them a cowards that have NOTHING to offer this country but their hate…..

The word “patriot” and “hero” are being used so much that their concept NO longer holds the traditions of the past……

When Did Rape Become Popular?

One of the consequences of war is rape……there seems little we can do about it….but recently there seems to be an outbreak of rapes for the sake of rape…..there seems to be a growing sickness in this world….I mean there is always a report off and on about this person being raped, usually during some time of turmoil……but today it seems to be just the “thing to do”…….

Recently in India there was a gang rape and the world was shocked and then there was the report of a rape and killing……cousins in the north of India had been raped killed and hung from a tree….sick right?  The crime were committed by men from the higher caste in the region and the girls were from a lower caste……the police chief in the area said that rape is a trivial case and should not be overblown by the media….How sick is that?

Yesterday I read a report about Egypt and the election they just had……..

As crowds in Cairo’s Tahrir Square yesterday celebrated the election victory of Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, things turned ugly: Mobs sexually assaulted at least five women, CNN reports. Graphic video of one attack shows a woman stripped and bloodied, facing continued attacks even as police take her to their vehicle. Seven men have been arrested following the video’s appearance online, al Arabiya reports. A security official tells AFP the victim was a 19-year-old student. Those arrested were also accused of three additional cases of sexual harassment. The news comes days after Egypt’s outgoing president outlawed sexual harassment in the country for the first time, CNN notes.

The attacks have prompted an outcry, not least from the “I Saw Harassment” campaign tracking sexual violence in the country: “It is shameful that the security leaders of the Ministry of Interior did not take into account any security measures or plans to prevent such incidents,” the campaign says in a statement. Local media is also under fire; one reporter describing harassment on the scene apologized after remarking, “They are happy, huh?” Such an amused response isn’t unusual, the New York Times reports, and mob assaults aren’t new in Tahrir Square (CBS reporter Lara Logan was assaulted in 2011). A state-affiliated group, the National Council of Women, blames a conspiracy of “unknown entities” aiming to “taint the image of (Egypt’s) democratic celebration.”

The world seems to have gone rape happy…….we can thank God that the US is being spared from this insanity……….or have we?

There might be a reason that college sexual assaults make the news more often these days. A new Department of Education report has found that reports of “forcible” campus sexual assaults shot up 50% between 2001 and 2011, jumping from 2,200 to 3,300, Time reports. At the same time, every other category of college crime decreased. The numbers mean that 2.2 out of every 10,000 college students in 2011 reported an assault, Business Insider points out.

Still, the spike doesn’t necessarily mean that more assaults are occurring; it might just mean that victims have become more comfortable coming forward. “It’s a good thing that more victims are reporting,” one advocate told NPR in response to a similar finding in April. “For far too long, they’ve been left on their own. And now they’re getting the help they need.”

It seems hat the whole world has gone rape happy…..a truly disgusting trend……..and now it has spread to Pakistan, that lovely country that had a young girl shot in the face for wanting an education….great bunch of people……and now a gang rape and death……..

Police are investigating yet another gang rape and hanging of a young woman, this time in Pakistan instead of India. Authorities in the Punjab province area of Layyah say 20-year-old Muzammil Bibi was assaulted by three men in a field, reports Reuters. Her parents found her body hanging from a tree the next morning, and, based on her injuries, police think she fought back against her rapists. Three men have confessed, say police. “This is the first time in my 22 years of service in the police that I have seen such a case, where a girl was raped in this way and found hanging from a tree,” says a senior officer.

The case bears a resemblance to the gang rape and hanging of two teen cousins in India in May, which was followed by two similar attacks in that country. It also follows attacks in Pakistan in which a pregnant woman was stoned to death and another woman was shot and thrown in a canal. Family members are blamed in the latter two. Violence against women in the region is so prevalent that it barely registers as a crime, one rights activist tells India’s Zee News. “It is a mindset that has to change.”

These are just a few of the cases of rape…..but they point to a disturbing trend……..what the Hell is this world becoming?

I realize that we live in a 24 hour news cycle and organizations need to fill all their airtime and rape is becoming reported than in the past……..but why is rape so popular?  If that is the best word to use……..

Everybody has an opinion (and it is true what they say) on what Islam stands for and is all about…..some are tolerant and others not so…….some accept…..other hate…..lots of opinions….I will NOT post on the attributes and failings of a religion but rather the stupidity of some people……

Let me say here….we all know about the WikiLeak thing with Bradley Manning…..he is accused of several crimes and being held in a military brig awaiting trail….. Manning is being punished for leaking documents to the internet that could in some way put American lives in danger and cause American deaths……(that could be another post…but not now).

Fast forward to today……we all have seen the riots, the violence and the deaths in Afghanistan in response to some random little hateful preacher and his ilk in some obscure little church in Florida……the Rev. (not in my mind) Terry Jones has burnt a Quran in response to Muslim extremism and then posted it on youtube……and now this demented toad is planning to put the prophet Mohammad on trial……

Despite clear evidence that his actions have led to multiple murders and widespread violence in the Middle East, the radical pastor remains unrepentant about his actions and has even hinted that he will take his provocative stance further.

Then, if Manning could be tried and convicted for the possibility of causing American deaths, then this freak in Florida, Jones needs to be arrested, held and tried for the possibility of causing American deaths…..we have been told that his action and the action of his band of merry followers has caused the deaths of UN workers in Afghanistan…..Jones needs to be arrested now!  Period!
