May I see a show of hands….how many have heard the 9/11 conspiracies ………does not matter which one just the conspiracies in general.
Do you believe any of the conspiracies?
In case you have not heard the theories (I would find that hard to believe…but hey anything is possible)…..I can help you with the search….
The 11 Most Compelling 9/11 Conspiracy Theories
Surely you have heard or read one or two of these theories….I mean unless you have been locked away with an iron mask…..
The hackers of Dark Overlord have done a bit of hacking and have found some “truth” about the attacks…..
A hacking collective known as The Dark Overlord announced on New Year’s Eve that it had broken into the computer systems of a law firm and obtained files related to the September 11 attacks – threatening to publicly release a large cache of internal files unless a hefty ransom was paid, according to Motherboard.
Dark Overlord’s demands targeted several insurers and legal firms, including Lloyds of London, Silverstein Properties and Hiscox Syndicates. It is unclear what exact files were stolen by the group, however the hacking collective tweeted “We’ll be providing many answers about 9.11 conspiracies through our 18.000 secret documents leak from @HiscoxComms and others.”
There will always be something “new” about the 9/11 attacks….and a wealth of answers to unasked questions.
Anything new that you have read or heard?
Time to put my mind in neutral for awhile…..TTFN!
Oh boy yet another conspiracy theory….like there is not enough of them these days…..sorry more specific……on the attacks of 9/11…..
I could spend my day looking up these conspiracies but I found a simpler way of educating…..
After 17 years of events have gone by……have these theories been replaced with something different?
But not replaced….just expanded…..
The MSM has done more to move some of these theories forward….more so than persons unknown……
Once an anti-Semitic rumor moved from fringe to the mainstream, it took less than two weeks for violence to erupt. The false allegation that liberal philanthropist George Soros was funding or supporting a caravan of Honduran refugees heading to the U.S. spread wildly from a single tweet posted on Oct. 14.
Along with far-right memes, that allegation helped motivate both an alleged mail-bomber and a mass shooter at a Pittsburgh synagogue. The way these messages traveled across the internet in this short time span is just one example of how extremist messages and memes circulate with incredible speed across mainstream social media platforms.
Now that bitch of mine is out of the way we can now return to the attacks on 9/11……
A single common theme emerges from most public discussions of U.S. foreign policy. No matter how widespread the carnage, devastating the financial impact or enormous the opportunity cost of war – the United States is always presumed to have meant well. US foreign policies are designed as much to improve the well-being of foreigners as to protect US national security. It is relatively rare for revisionist historians or informed critics questioning the true motives behind US foreign policy to be allowed any significant platform to air contrarian views. Despite this pervasive discrimination, a significant segment of the American public not only believes US elites exploited the 9/11 attacks, but would like to see US government officials who backed the “Global War on Terror” criminally prosecuted.
Credible “Global War on Terror” damage assessments are as scarce as policy contrarians. Since 9/11, US government officials debated but generally shied away from releasing official body counts. This is to avoid public perceptions that the US is now trapped in a “quagmire” reminiscent of Vietnam. Credible, official total financial cost estimates of the series of conflicts – officially premised on the idea that they will protect the US from future 9/11-style attacks – are similarly difficult to come by. When there are no solid numbers, it becomes impossible to have meaningful debates or perform public opinion research – which may be why the information deficits persist.
Any theories you would like to share?
It All Began On 9/11!
Today we celebrate the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers, Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania…
In all that time there has been a wealth of conspiracies about the attacks…..and in my tradition of trying inform my readers I will offer up several articles that touch on the day.
Al-Qaeda, the culprit that lead the attacks on 9/11 may be stronger than ever…..
In the days after Sept. 11, 2001, the United States set out to destroy Al Qaeda. President George W. Bush vowed to “starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest.”
Seventeen years later, Al Qaeda may be stronger than ever. Far from vanquishing the extremist group and its associated “franchises,” critics say, U.S. policies in the Mideast appear to have encouraged its spread.
The attacks and the reaction to them have shaped U.S. policy for more than 15 years, leaving a nation that is far more vigilant and jittery about terrorism. Yet for all of the talk about 9/11, many elements of the attacks and the actions leading up to them have receded from the public memory. Here are 10 things you may have forgotten about 9/11:
One last thought–since the attacks of 9/11 the War on Terror has cost the country $1.5 trillion (that is with a “T”).
The last photo taken to show the Towers…..taken on afternoon of 10Sep01
We all remember the attacks of 9/11 we would not be much of an American if we did not……a few of us remember the terrorists that pulled off the attack…..most were Saudis with a Moroccan and something other.
In the past there were rumblings of Americans wanting to sue the Saudis because of the attacks….those rumblings have pretty much subsided…..
So when I read an article about the possibility of another lawsuit because of 9/11 I was surprised to see who the bad guy was for this lawsuit……
A US federal judge in New York ordered Iran to pay billions of dollars in damages to families affected by 9/11, ABC news reported on Tuesday.
Judge George B Daniels found the country liable to more than 1,000 “parents, spouses, siblings and children” involved in the lawsuit. Daniels said the payment amounts to $12.5m per spouse, $8.5m per parent, $8.5m per child and $4.25m for each sibling, according to the ABC report.
The lawsuit claims that Iran provided technical assistance, training and planning to the al-Qaeda operatives that conducted the attacks.
However, the official investigation on the attacks, known as the 9/11 Commission Report, said that Iran did not play a direct role.
More reading on this subject……
Seriously? I am in amazement at this turn…I ask why? Who does this ruling benefit? Most of the terrorists of 9/11 followed a strict form of Sunni Islam and Iran is Shia …..why would they help these people? Will this exonerate the Saudis? If so then I say that their PR program has paid off.
Where is the proof? Let me guess Israel right?
From time to time I offer up a “what if”….a historic look at events that might have changed the world if a different course had been charted…..this is a fine piece written about the 9/11 attacks and the aftermath…..it makes a bunch of excellent points to consider…..
It is a lengthy article but well worth the time to read…….
You’ve heard the platitude that hindsight is 20/20. It’s true enough and, though I’ve been a regular skeptic about what policymakers used to call the Global War on Terror, it’s always easier to poke holes in the past than to say what you would have done. My conservative father was the first to ask me what exactly I would have suggested on September 12, 2001, and he’s pressed me to write this article for years. The supposed rub is this: under the pressure of that attack and the burden of presidential responsibility, even “liberals” — like me, I guess — would have made much the same decisions as George W. Bush and company.
Many readers may cringe at the thought, but former National Security Adviser and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has to be taken seriously when she suggests that anyone in the White House on 9/11 would inevitably have seen the world through the lens of the Bush administration. I’ve long argued that just about every Bush-era policy that followed 9/11 was an unqualified disaster. Nevertheless, it remains important to ponder the weight piled upon a president in the wake of unprecedented terror attacks. What would you have done? What follows is my best crack at that thorny question, 16 years after the fact, and with the accumulated experiences of combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I spend a lot of time second guessing our foreign policy establishment…..to me they have not made a good or an accurate decision in 25 years…..and a continuation of an unwinnable war is just what I am referring to……not a good decision in decades.
There have been two horrific attacks on American soil…..Pear Harbor and 9/11……
Sixteen anniversaries of 9/11 have now come. Sixteen. For many reasons, mostly obvious, we place the attacks of that day in a category with Pearl Harbor: both were national tragedies, both inflicted unprecedented death tolls on American soil, both were criticized as intelligence failures, and both launched America into war. Of course, for most Americans, December 7 passes each year with maybe a general awareness, perhaps a moment of acknowledgement when FDR’s words—“a day that will live in infamy”—work their way into our consciousness.
But on each anniversary of 9/11, a host of TV networks still show documentaries about the attacks and their aftermath. It is still occasion for a multitude of think pieces to emerge into the sunlight—some new and important, others less so. Of course, sixteen anniversaries are a lot fewer than seventy-five. Yet, it’s hard not to wonder whether on December 7, 1957, the sixteen-year anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks was marked as prominently as that of 9/11 is today. I don’t expect that it was.

That’s it for me…..I shall return tomorrow with more and better stuff….chuq
Sixteen and counting…….it was a Tuesday morn about 10 when the world change in a matter of moments.
War was declared and we have been fighting ever since.
AS we look back on that fateful day…..there is a question the lurks deep in the mind……will this ever end?
The current spasm of international terrorism, an age-old tactic of warfare, is often traced to a bomb mailed from New York by the anti-Castro group El Poder Cubano, or Cuban Power, that exploded in a Havana post office, on January 9, 1968. Five people were seriously injured. Since then, almost four hundred thousand people have died in terrorist attacks worldwide, on airplanes and trains, in shopping malls, schools, embassies, cinemas, apartment blocks, government offices, and businesses, according to the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism. The deadliest remains the 9/11 attack, sixteen years ago this week, which killed almost three thousand people—and in turn triggered a war that has become America’s longest.
I’ve covered dozens of these terrorist attacks on four continents over that half century. After the Barcelona attack and the U.S. decision to send more troops to fight the Taliban, I began to wonder how terrorism ends—or how militant groups evolve. In her landmark study of more than four hundred and fifty terrorist groups, Audrey Kurth Cronin found that the average life span of an extremist movement is about eight years. Cuban Power c
