Is It Gender Specific?

It would be difficult to try and teach political theory without injecting gender into the mix…..in today’s world gender and politics is as important as any other issue and if one looks at the most recent primaries then you can understand why I make such a statement……women are coming of age, especially in the GOP which in the past had been a cultural wasteland for women candidates….all that is changing and we need to see what it will mean in the future…..

In the US the Democratic Party has long held that women are very viable candidates, but it has not been so with the GOP in the past…but today’s political climate is giving conservative women an outlet for their political ambitions….especially on the shirt tails of the Tea Party…..this can only increase the democrat process…but in today’s political sphere there are a few philosophies about gender….personally, I like the idea of more gender diversification in politics….

But different philosophies view gender in very different lights……not all view it in a positive way….and some even see it a the hue of the Cro-Magnon man…..

I will begin with Liberals (I know I also begin with Liberals) who have traditionally viewed differences between man and woman as being a personal and private  significance.  In politics, all people, regardless of gender, are equal….gender is irrelevant as is race and social class.

Conservatives have emphasized the social and political significance of gender divisions and argue that the sexual division of labor between men and women is natural and hierarchical.

And now the Socialists…..like liberals have seldom treated gender as politically significant….they view the divisions between men and women as a reflection of deeper problems with economic and class inequalities.

Everybody’s a/hole the Fascists who see gender as a fundamental division of mankind, where men are naturally the leaders, while women are more suited for domestic, supportive and subordinate roles.  (No wonder these guys have little success)

Feminists also see gender as a political and social distinction, but see these divisions are manifestations of male power, otherwise there is NO distinction….

Now my fav, the Religious Right who regard gender as a God-given division and as such is critical to social and political organization.  So with that said, they tend to see the leadership by men as natural and desirable.  (Silly people that they are)

We could carry on with this discussion of gender and politics, but that would take a whole semester and then we would be where we were when I began this  post.  I realize that my definitions are short, sweet and overly simple but unfortunately that is the way people think and I try to be accurate as I can and as informative as I can in the least amount of space……enjoy…..

Women Rule Mid-Term Elections

For the most part the normal mid-term election primaries are about as boring as watching flies mate…for the most part the 2010 ones were No exception…..but…..there were few races that caught my eye….why?  Women!  I like women and political women are just hot…for the most part…but this time around there was more to the campaigns than just political diatribes…..to be honest there was some real funk going on…..

Meg Whitman in Calif has spent over $80 million in a primary and the general is coming on strong……is the running of a bankrupt state really worth $80 million?  Fiorina will take on Boxer for the Senate seat as the outsider……

South Carolina, the attractive Tea Party candidate has won a run-off for the GOP nomination, Nikki Haley, even after allegations of a couple of sexual affairs were thrown around….she said she would resign if they can be proven…keep an eye on that see if that campaign promise will be kept….

Blanche Lincoln has pulled her political butt out of the fire by making a comeback against Halter in the primary and now she will move on to the general against the GOP candidate and will most likely lose her seat in the anti-Washington sentiment of the Arkansas voter.  But I think that her voting record and campaign donations may bite her harder in the butt than labor did in the run-off.

But the favorite of all the races has been Nevada…..one candidate wants to use barter like chickens for health care to bring down the cost but the best is the one that is currently in the lead……Angle….the whackier of the women in this race…..she does not think that alcohol should be legal, she wants to pull out of UN, wants to disband Social Security, just a few of her more scarier of beliefs…..the good news is that she will most likely face Harry Reid for the Senate seat….he should have an easy campaign….that is assuming that the people of Nevada are not complete idiots.

Women have had this mid term dance a bit more interesting than it would have been without them…at least for me….the mid-term elections are usually just a rubber stamp of the political dance and then when it becomes something more….thanx to the American voter and their anger at the way Washington is doing business….

I’ll Drink To That!

Washington was about as boring as watch paint dry or flies having sex last week….the news media was all over the Afghan story…well he or not he send more troops….yawn…of course he will send more!

Because of the media’s BS it will be yet another Sexy Sunday…..

And yes, another sex survey to report…..

Millions of women drink alcohol before having sex because they lack confidence in their bodies, a study has found.

Almost half of those questioned said they preferred sex while under the influence of alcohol because it helped them to lose their inhibitions and be more adventurous.

Three quarters of women claimed they felt more able to let their hair down and go wild after a few drinks.

Four out of ten have ‘always’ been a bit tipsy when they have slept with a partner for the first time. But astonishingly 48.5 per cent said they preferred sex while under the influence.

The study also found that 75 per cent of women said they liked to drink before getting into bed with their husband or boyfriend. Some 6 per cent of women have never had sex while sober.

More than half of women polled claimed drinking with a prospective partner was ‘part of the dating process’ so they were bound to be a bit drunk when they had sex.

It was also revealed 14 per cent of women in a relationship can’t face sleeping with their partner unless they had a couple of glasses of wine beforehand.

May I see a show hands that did not know this already?  How do I get this research cash?

It Is Always About The Money

I know you have watched “skin-a-max” and drooled over breasts and the rest…the blondes that are not really blondes…..and the acting….damn the acting!  But if you really want an American woman hot for you then take a hint from thios study.

A survey conducted by America Online suggests women in the United States would rather have an extra $50 a week than a more active sex life.The survey of nearly 5,300 women, conducted by AOL’s Shortcuts.com and AllYou.com, found a majority of respondents picked money over sex when asked which they would like to have more of weekly, the New York Daily News reported Monday.

The Daily News asked New Yorkers on the street the same question and received largely the same answers, the newspaper said.

“Two years ago, I would have responded differently, but in these times, money is definitely a priority over sex,” bartender Tracy Miller, 35, said.

“I’d take the money hands-down,” said homemaker Fay Stuart, 27. “In this recession, I’d rather have more money and security than sex.”

Makes one really happy to be in love, huh?  Wait!  Is that not called prostitution?

Birds Do It…Bees Do It

Congress is heading home for a much needed rest…I mean they we off in July…bet you guys would like to have their work schedule…they work 4 days a week…tops….not bad huh?  Anyway since they are running for home and the Prez is headed for Martha’s Vineyard there will be little stuff to write on today….soooo…welcome to Sexy Sunday!

They say growing old sucks…..but there is some hews that may make the aging process a bit more tolerable.

The study, published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, also found 43 percent of the women reported at least moderate sexual desire, challenging conventional wisdom that women lose interest in sex due to their own physical problems.

Researchers at the University of California-San Francisco said half of all sexually active participants described their overall sexual satisfaction as moderate to high. More than one-quarter of women age 65 years or older remained moderately or highly interested in sex, and more than one-third of women in this age group had been sexually active in the past three months.

Among sexually inactive women in the entire group, 39 percent reported the most common reason was a lack of interest in sex, followed by 36 percent reporting lack of a partner, 23 percent citing physical problems of their partner and 11 percent saying there was a partner’s lack of interest.

Nine percent of them report being sexually inactive because of personal physical problems.

African-American women were more likely than white women to report at least moderate desire, but less likely to report weekly sexual activity. Sexually active Latinas were more likely than white women to report at least moderate sexual satisfaction, the study revealed.

Now you know the sport of “cougar” hunting has become so popular.  The older women are having more sex than the 20-somethings……there is a God!

The Boobs Have It!

With all the boring sh*t behind us…it is Sexy Sunday.

Okay I saw this story when reading Brit news the other day and felt I just had to add my 2 cents worth in here.

Chantal Marshall and four of her daughters have had NINE boob jobs between them, making them the British family to have had the most breast surgery – bra none!

While most mums and their daughters enjoy shopping trips together, Chantal, 50, and her daughters have spent nearly £40,000 on visits to cosmetic surgeons to have their breasts enlarged.

Ripley, 18, Tara, 22, Terri, 25, Emma, 28, and mum-of-nine Chantal, of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Notts, now boast chest sizes ranging from 34DD to 32GG.

CARER and mum-of-nine Chantal is a petite Size 10 and was 34B before her first op. She is now a 34DD.

Damn!  I want to say something so clever right now….but all I can think about is a wet t-shirt.  Do not know if I could handle it (no pun intended).

Pelosi Gets A Rest

Obama has made his choice for a judge to replace the retiring one on the Supreme Court…how fortunate for Pelosi…she now gets a temporary break from the bashing she has been taking at the hands of the conservatives, both on air personalities and the not so popular bloggers on the right.

Well at least the conservatives are consistant, they are still attacking a woman.  I asked the question about a month ago here on Info Ink.  I asked if the GOP and its lot were sexist.  I aked because of the attacks they, the GOP, have been having against women, like Pelosi, Sibelius and Napolitano.

Pelosi was in China trying to get them to cooperate on climate change and probably got very little of the cooperation she was looking for since she has been an outspoken critic of the government in China.  Her only good news for now is that Sotomayor is taking all the heat that she would be getting, at least for now.  I am sure that she is only getting a temporary lapse and the bashing will soon return.

Anyway, I digress..the conservs are taking careful aim at Sotomayor.  They have attacked her IQ, her name, her eating habits, her temperment and a racist.  All their attacks are just so damn silly……so damn lame…….and so damn predictable.

She will be confirmed……Repubs just want to have their say……it is all just a fundraising ploy….she will be confirmed.

Stop The World I Want To Get Off

All the political bickering has played out for the week……Specter will be on every channel telling his side of the story….and the flu……the flu is still the flu.  So to lighten up things…it is Sexy Sunday!

Talk about men having a bad day!

The Women’s Development Organization says it is coordinating a sex strike by thousands of Kenyan women to resolve ongoing political turmoil.

Rukia Subow, chairwoman of the organization, said the planned weeklong strike could work as sex is an activity that spans social position, tribal affiliations and political parties, The Daily Telegraph (Britain) reported Wednesday.

“We have looked at all issues which can bring people to talk and we have seen that sex is the answer,” Subow said. “It does not know tribe, it does not have a (political) party and it happens in the lowest households.”

Why Is The GOP Attacking Women?

Why not?  They surely cannot have much success attacking a popular president.  Why are women their focus of attacks?

In Brownback’s case, he is one of the Republican Party’s leading social conservatives and has been under pressure from that wing to disavow his support of the Democratic governor.

Though Sebelius has a reputation for working across party lines, she is anathema to abortion opponents because she supports  abortion rights.
Conservatives are still incensed about a Homeland Security memo that draws attention to the possible threat of “right-wing extremists” here in the U.S. But Democrats and other Napolitano supporters argue the memo itself originated with the Bush administration.
While it’s not surprising that Republicans are angry with a Democratic cabinet secretary, this brief episode is another instance in which rank-and-file Republicans tack further right than party leaders in their criticism of President Barack Obama. Conservatives in the House on Wednesday night called on Napolitano to resign because one of her memos mentioned right wing extremists as a threat.

As Media Matters for America documented, Pelosi has been the target of attacks by Republicans and conservative media figures. The Republican National Committee has attacked Pelosi for her “extremely liberal record.” On the November 1 edition of CNN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight, correspondent Andrea Koppel reported that Pelosi was “among the most liberal politicians in America,” and that “Republicans have seized on the prospect of liberal lawmakers running the House as a way to fire up their base on the campaign trail.” On the October 24 edition of MSNBC’s Scarborough Country, host Joe Scarborough claimed that Pelosi is “out of touch … in so many districts across the country.” On the October 12 edition of Fox News’ Hannity & Colmes, host Sean Hannity claimed that “people don’t know how extreme she is, but we’ve got 26 days to inform people.” Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, on the October 12 edition of The O’Reilly Factor, attacked Pelosi’s “San Francisco values.” On the August 21 edition of Hannity & Colmes, Hannity called Pelosi “that San Francisco extreme left-wing liberal.”

Plus the GOP is blaming the recession on Pelosi, calling iut the “Pelosi Recession”.

Just three democratic women that are being singled out for attacks by the GOP.  I am sure there are more, but these are just the most senior of the attacks.  But why is the GOP attacking women?

The Boobs Say It All!

Sternomancy is a divination practice which involves the reading of markings on the area of the human body from the breast to the belly. People usually compare the shape of women’s breasts with fruit, berries and even vegetables.

Cherry. Women with small breasts that look like cherries are distinctive for their sociable character. They are reasonable and easy-going. Such women can be very good and reliable partners in everyday life, although they do not lay special emphasis on physical intimacy.

A fox’s nose is a springboard-shaped bosom. Those who have fox’s noses are usually smart and reserved women. These women do not usually reach anything professionally, because they are too lazy to show any initiatives. A ‘fox’ can become a very good wife for practically any man, what is why such women usually build successful families.

Women with large breasts are optimistic, cheerful and sensual. They can be very inventive in bed and expect the same from their partners.

Melons. Women with melon-shaped breasts like being admired. They value delicious food and constantly develop their cooking skills.
