Mail-In Voting

I was going to leave this bit of lunacy alone…but it just keeps getting worse and worse…..especially the idiotic ideas coming from the small mind of Donald the Orange…

His best piece of manure has been that there would be thousands of people sitting in living rooms across the nation stuffing ballot boxes……

If you do not like that piece of political manure…then just wait a few days and the rhetoric will change….and VIOLA!

President Trump has been arguing for a while that mail-in voting is vulnerable to fraud, and he pushed a new theme on that front in not-so-subtle terms Monday. In an all-caps tweet, he warned: “RIGGED 2020 ELECTION: MILLIONS OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS WILL BE PRINTED BY FOREIGN COUNTRIES, AND OTHERS. IT WILL BE THE SCANDAL OF OUR TIMES!” Before that, he tweeted a link to a Breitbart News story in which Attorney General William Barr expresses a similar sentiment. “It absolutely opens the floodgates to fraud,” Barr said of mail-in voting during a Sunday interview on Fox News. “A foreign country could print up tens of thousands of counterfeit ballots, and (it would) be very hard for us to detect which was the right and which was the wrong ballot.”

The coronavirus has led to calls for greater access to mail-in ballots for voters, but the White House opposes the move. “You get thousands and thousands of people sitting in somebody’s living room, signing ballots all over the place,” Trump said in April, per the Hill. When reporters asked for evidence, he responded, “I think there’s a lot of evidence, but we’ll provide you with some, OK?” AFP reports that the political impact of mail-in voting is unclear, citing a new Stanford study that while the practice seems to increase overall voting, it “does not appear to increase either party’s vote share.”

Foreign nations will influence our electoral process….REALLY?

Vice President Mike Pence and a half-dozen senior advisers to President Trump have repeatedly voted by mail, election records obtained by the AP show. That undercuts the president’s argument that the practice will lead to widespread fraud this November. More than three years after leaving it, Pence still lists the Indiana governor’s home as his official residence and votes absentee accordingly. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has permanent absentee voting status in her home state of Michigan. Brad Parscale, Trump’s campaign manager, voted absentee in Texas in 2018 and didn’t vote two years earlier when Trump’s name was on the ballot. Two other senior Trump campaign officials—chief operating officer Michael Glassner and deputy campaign manager Bill Stepien—have repeatedly voted by mail in New Jersey. And Nick Ayers, a senior campaign adviser who was the vice president’s chief of staff, has voted by mail in Georgia since 2014.

In most election years, voting by mail is an unremarkable event. But Trump has railed against state efforts to expand access to mail-in voting as an alternative to waiting in lines at polling places during a pandemic. He has argued without evidence that mail-in voting will lead to fraud and warned Monday that foreign countries could print ballots. That, some experts say, is a double standard that amounts to voter suppression. “These are people who are taking advantage of—which is perfectly legal—their right to vote absentee,” said Trevor Potter of the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center. “But they don’t want other people to do the same thing.” Trump himself voted by mail in the Florida primary this year. And Attorney General William Barr, who has also raised concern about the practice, voted absentee in Virginia in 2012 and 2019, the Washington Post reported. Tim Murtaugh of the Trump campaign defended the Trump aides who have voted by mail.

If you still support this maniac in the White House then you are a hateful tool that we would be better off without.

Let me make it clear…I think that talking with adversaries is a good way to solve problems…that is called diplomacy….sorry what happened in Helsinki was nowhere near diplomacy.

I have been watching Our Dear Leader’s responses to questions for over 540 days of his presidency….and in all that time his responses have been nothing but babble and the reiterating his accusations and his bitches about the 2016 elections.

The meeting in Helsinki was a waste of time for anything but Trump’s ego trip…..no one heard anything from our Dear Leader but bullsh*t……even his best friend in the media FOX heard nothing but babble……Let us check the round-up shall we?

CNN’s Anderson Cooper called it “perhaps one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president” immediately after the press conference. Cooper’s name immediately began trending on Twitter after making the comment, which resulted in a variety of media members agreeing with the CNN star.

“Anderson Cooper nailed it,” CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin tweeted.

Associated Press reporter Jonathan Lemire and Reuters White House correspondent Jeff Mason were both praised by journalists for asking tough questions, but Trump’s answers drew scorn.

“Trump, finally asked whom he believes on Russia interference, gives a vague and rambling non-answer, with renewed complaints about Hillary’s server. Says he trusts US intel but made clear he takes Putin’s denials seriously. Lame response, to say the least,” Fox News’ Brit Hume tweeted.

“He threw in references to the whereabouts of a computer server at the Democratic National Committee and the activities of a former House Democratic staffer who some conspiracy theorists have alleged penetrated lawmakers’ computers,” NBC News’ Jonathan Allen wrote. “Trump also blamed the U.S. in part for the deterioration of the relationship between the two countries in recent years.”

The New York Times’ headline said, “Trump avoids rebuking Putin on meddling,” noting that the president “won’t say if he believes Moscow or U.S. intelligence.” The Washington Post also focused on the president’s reaction to the Mueller probe with a headline, “Putin again denies Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election; Trump calls probe a ‘disaster for our country.’”

CNN chief International anchor Christiane Amanpour called the press conference “extraordinary,” while the network’s senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta said the president took the word of Putin over his own intelligence community. Acosta even said there was “nervous laughter” in the room when Putin was asked if he has dirt on Trump before calling it “astonishing” that he didn’t condemn Putin when given the chance.

“They came across as playmates on a soccer field more than they did international rivals,” Acosta said.

CNN’s Gloria Borger added, “Everybody around the world has seen the president stand next to Vladimir Putin and basically cave.”

“Horrible performance from our President today. Pretty ugly when u give a pass to a nation that is undermining our democracy,” Fox Business anchor Trish Regan tweeted.

Fox News’ Neil Cavuto called the press conference “disgusting,” while his colleague Stuart Varney added, “It was not a very forceful presentation from President Trump with Putin standing right next to him. Not forceful at all.”

“Noticing on Twitter that many of the normal Trump defenders are struggling mightily to defend today’s performance,” NBC News’ Chuck Todd said.

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro called Trump’s performance “self-serving and utterly grotesque,” before declaring Trump “made a fool of himself.” The BBC’s headline simply stated, “Trump sides with Russia against FBI.”

Conservative strategist Chris Barron tweeted, “Not pleased with Trump’s Putin press conference. Doesn’t feel like America First.”

How long will he keep reliving the election?  An election HE WON!

This is that bee in his bonnet…..Does he relive the election because his feelings are hurt that he lost the popular vote…..does he deep down think that we feel he is a illegitimate president?

It’s all right there in the indictment — day by day, hack by hack, theft by theft — how agents of the Russian intelligence service, the GRU, set out in the spring of 2016 to steal the election for Donald Trump. When you track the actions taken by Russian intelligence in the indictment with statements made by Trump and actions taken on his behalf by members of his campaign, the picture is as clear as an iPhone photo. Agents of the Russian government coordinated with members of the Trump campaign and took cues from Trump himself in order to influence the election of 2016.

In announcing the indictment, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein may have refused to point to a victim of the Russians’ crimes other than to say it was America itself, but the intent of the Russians was clear. They took active measures over a period of at least nine months to aid the campaign of Donald Trump and to damage the campaign of Hillary Clinton. They stole the election for Donald Trump, and he helped them do it.

Morons…Each And Every One!

I really do not like calling people names….but as my grandfather said, “when you smell sh*t,  you just have to say it”…….

I wish to apologize to any of my conservs friends who I may offend….with that said the Right just keeps filling up with morons….some new and others have been around for a long time…..and in that time one would think that they would learn a thing or two……but apparently, they do not have the mental capability to grasp facts, instead just make crap up as they go along with the hope that NO one will notice that the sh*t is getting deep…..

We already know that Limbaugh, Beck, FOX News and a wealth of Righties think or believe that Obama is a socialist….and they could give some facts that support their position….they would be wrong….but they could make a case for it…..but over the Thanksgiving holiday a couple of right wing morons have stuck another foot in their mouths….

First is John Stossel, who use to be a pretty creditable journalist….those days are gone!

Next we have is Mr. Limbaugh, the mouth that will NOT shut the Hell up!

Okay people ….ONE more time……SOCIALISM as a form of government did NOT come into being until the 1800’s……lots of ideas, but NO government!  Akin and Limbaugh join Stossel…….they are MORONS!

Just another indication that the conservatives will do and say anything factual or not to try and make a point…..

I will not lie to you…there were problems when the pilgrims first got here, but by the time of that first feast thing s were moving along famously….

Issa Is An Ass!

Welcome to the VOMITORIUM,  place for political regurgitation, and in this case it is Republican regurgitation…….meaning political bullshit that does NOTHING to help the country only to further some political obstructionism as a way to divert the voter from the real story……and the GOP has become masterful at this tactic…..

We have the dipsticks that yell at the president….we have mental midgets accusing the Dems of creating death panels…..we have the mental deficient that questions citizenship….we have……you get my drift…….none of these sideshows does anything to improve the situation in the US….but that is just what the spin doctor ordered…..this ploy is to bring up some minor irritant that takes the air out of real issues and focuses on BS…….focus on anything that will divert the attention from problems that truly need to be solved…….

But one of the biggest role players in our Congress is the Honorable representative from San Diego, CA….one Issa!

This guy has spent his time in Congress making work for bureaucrats….wasting the people’s money….and being a complete “tool”……

Rep. Darrell Issa is out with a report (please read his report) this morning claiming that the Obama administration has engaged in an unprecedented amount of illegal propaganda.

Issa, the top Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, made the request to the Government Accountability Office Monday following his own investigation. Issa accuses the White House of, among other things, using the National Endowment for the Arts and the Department of Health and Human Services to press organizations and members of Congress to support President Barack Obama’s health care plan.

This is a utter waste of time and resources….maybe the people in Issa’s district should demand a refund on the salary he is paid for he is obviously NOT doing the business of the country but rather attempting to play political games that benefits NO one but him.

The people of his district really need to question this dicks motives….they will not…they will continue, like so many other Americans, to let self-serving a/holes represent them and blame their non action on others…….America can live without morons and demi-gods….what we need are statesmen and there are NONE in Washington….

BP Must Pay!

From time to time there are some things that happen in the political world that can be best described as a………..BLOWJOB!  And now it has Florida on its knees…..(pun intended)

It seems that Florida’s governor, Charlie Crist has a new idea:

Gov. Charlie Crist authorized property appraisers Wednesday to calculate lost real-estate values caused by the Gulf oil spill, so homeowners and businesses can send the tab to BP.

The governor signed an executive order authorizing property appraisers in 26 counties under threat from the oil spill to give property owners an updated assessment on their homes and businesses if they believe they have lost value because of the spill. Property owners could use the document to file a claim for damages against BP, although they wouldn’t necessarily have their tax bills lowered.

“It is logical to predict that the oil spill will result in declining property values,” Crist said at a news conference. “Businesses and families of the Gulf Coast did nothing to warrant this loss, but they bear the burden of it.”

State law requires property to pay taxes based on the value of their property in January. But in many cases — particularly for hotels and businesses dependent on the beach — their property values have dropped as much as 30 percent since then.

His action drew approval from some affected property appraisers, although staff time and cost of reappraisals will be tough on cash-strapped counties.

This is a helluva idea, right?

This is just plain stupid!  It is just another political ploy to gain votes in Crist upcoming election against Rubio.  This will probably never happen….why?  Florida has suffered much from the economic meltdown…how does one prove that the oil spill is the cause of loss of value?

If you read my stuff you know that I think that BP should be held accountable for their damage because of the oil spill….but this idea is just plain moronic…..does that mean that I can sue AIG or Goldman-Sachs for the loss of value of my property because they gambled with my money?

This is all so much political theater….after all, he has an election to win.

The Nation’s Biggest Joke

Yes, there is something that is funny about the conditions in the US….that is if the middle class circling the drain is not funny…..banks controlling everyone’s lives is not funny…..loss of many many jobs is not funny…..but there is humor in the US…….what could make anyone smile?  The Congress of the United States…..that is what deserves a belly laugh…..

Here is a group, elected by the people, or so we are told to believe,  that does nothing to help the very people they claim to represent….the Senate is worse than a dysfunctional family…..this group NO LONGER works for the common good of the country and the House is closing in on the same spot…..

Their sole functions, these days, is to bring the gears of governance to a grinding halt…..no longer are they the voice of the people but rather the voice of their own egos, interests and silly political loyalties…..no longer is theirs the voice of reason as it was intended from the start of the country……they are puppets with the hands of special interests up their butts working their mouths….

Gone are the days of the people, by the people and for the people……America is suffering and suffering badly, yet nothing is moving in Washington with the exception of the mouths of opposition and it is special interest opposition not something people are opposed to in any way…..

It seems to appear that the American people are waking up to the circus that is Washington and especially to the clowns that are the Congress….NO one wants to compromise, but that is what the three branches is all about…..NO one wants to compromise on behalf of the people that sent them to Washington…..No one wants to earn their salary as a Congressperson, instead they want to play at the theatrics of politics…they play to the camera….they play to the sound bite……if I do not produce at my job I am thrown to the wolves, but yet these ass clowns can play and go on retreats after working a week and they get re-elected……..what are you people thinking?

It is time to drop the curtain of the THEATER OF THE ABSURD……they had their shot and the critics are panning them……time to move on and find answers to problems….not create more problems for the problems…..

If you have had enough then DO SOMETHING about it!  You have a vote…USE IT!

Whose Idea Was It?

For over a week now there has been a war of words between FOX News and the White House…..which moron thought this would be a good idea?

Of all the issues that need addressing by the White House….they spend their time swatting at a fly, in this case it is FOX News.  The AP has touched on this situation:

White House unhappiness had been building. The president himself said there is “one television station that is entirely devoted to attacking my administration.” Fox’s coverage of health care demonstrations over the summer, former administration official Van Jones and the community activists ACORN clearly knocked the administration off stride.

The White House blog attacked Fox commentator Glenn Beck for “lies.”

Several critics have questioned the wisdom of Obama’s approach.

“Whether or not you like Fox News, all of us in the press need to be concerned about the administration of President Barack Obama trying to `punish’ the cable news channel for its point of view,” wrote television critic David Zurawik in the Baltimore Sun.

The people voted for a man of vision and wisdom….but the kids play that they are doing now….shows neither wisdom nor vision……people voted for change, but somehow this is not what they thought change would look like.

I realize politicians think their sh!t does not stink, but petty name calling and childish little games is not what they should be involved in at this time or for that matter any time.  But come on dudes…you are giving their accusations and lies credence when you attack them outright…..do to FOX what you guys do to the people and their wants..IGNORE THEM!

Is The GOP Growing Cajones?

Yes, Irene…there has been some silliness on all sides during the first 9 months of the Obama admin,,,,the GOP seems to be ate up with morons…morons that cannot get a grasp on their way…..and then there are those entertaining little turds on conservative talk radio….you know them by names l;ike Beck, Limbaugh and then those that are masquerading as journalists on the tube…..but where with in the GOP is there any cajones to call these liars out and expose them for what they are…..?

Finally….some in the GOP are stepping up and calling for the crap to stop …..

First it was Lindsey Graham would called  Glenn Beck what he is…an entertainer and that he does NOT speak for the GOP….

The Fox News host isn’t aligned with any political party, Sen. Lindsey Graham said Thursday, Beck is “aligned with cynicism.” And, the South Carolina Republican added, America isn’t a nation of cynics.
Graham, who spoke at The First Draft of History conference sponsored by The Atlantic, also took at shot at “birthers.” He said those who question President Obama’s citizenship or claim he’s a secret Muslim are “crazy” — and he urged them to “knock this crap off.”
And then there is the craziness of Palin who seems determined to keep spouting that which has been proven to be inaccurate….Death Panels….and now someone is hitting at her….

The Atlantic’s First Draft of History conference, Steve Schmidt, who served as the top political strategist for both John McCain and Arnold Schwarzenegger, spoke candidly about the state of the Republican Party. On health care, Schmidt noted that some individual Republicans, like Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), were “advancing ideas” on health care legislation, but that “the party holistically is bereft of ideas.” Asked about Sarah Palin’s future political prospects, Schmidt argued that she could conceivably win the GOP nomination because of her popularity with the base conservative electorate. However, if that were to happen, Schmidt said that such a turn of events would be “catastrophic” because Palin has alienated mainstream America:

SCHMIDT: I think that she has talents. But my honest view is that she would not be a winning candidate for the Republican Party in 2012, and in fact, were she the nominee, we could have a catastrophic election result.

It is finally good to see that there are still some of the people in the GOP that is not impressed with the bullsh!t and the lies that some within the party are spreading like so much manure.

Tit for tat…..I was wondering when a Dem would be stupid and say something that the Repubs would seize on and demand an apology….well, I did not have to wait long…now did I?

The Ministry of Information of the GOP is reporting:

Taking a page from Democrats who disciplined Rep. Joe “You Lie” Wilson earlier this month, Republicans are seeking their own pound of flesh from a Democratic congressman who said Tuesday that the GOP wants Americans to “die quickly” if they get sick.

Rep. Alan Grayson,a first-term Democrat known for being provocative, refuses to apologize for the comments he made on the House floor Tuesday night while criticizing Republican health care proposals.

Republicans are likening Grayson’s remark to Wilson’s widely criticized shout of “You lie!” during President Obama’s address to Congress earlier this month. They say Democrats should insist that Grayson apologize just as they did Wilson.

In case there was any doubt…this report is from FOX News.

These little minds are acting like 3rd graders….when will they grow up?  Grayson was a moron for giving the GOP the opportunity to play the blame game.  Sorry, guys but being disrespectful to the president and what Grayson did are two separate situations.  If we like let us go back a few months and demand apologies for members that question the Prez citizenship or the members that call him a Nazi or that all Dems are un-American or that Dems would kill Grandma or ………oh hell that is enough they are giving me gas.

If they want an apology then they, all of Congress,  owe the American people an apology for their blatant disregard of the people they are elected to serve.  Or how about they apologize for being a prostitutes for big business.  Or apologize for wasting time and money on their childish little games.

When will the American people tire of these childish little games?
