Issa Is An Ass!

From the VOMITORIUM

Welcome to the VOMITORIUM,  place for political regurgitation, and in this case it is Republican regurgitation…….meaning political bullshit that does NOTHING to help the country only to further some political obstructionism as a way to divert the voter from the real story……and the GOP has become masterful at this tactic…..

We have the dipsticks that yell at the president….we have mental midgets accusing the Dems of creating death panels…..we have the mental deficient that questions citizenship….we have……you get my drift…….none of these sideshows does anything to improve the situation in the US….but that is just what the spin doctor ordered…..this ploy is to bring up some minor irritant that takes the air out of real issues and focuses on BS…….focus on anything that will divert the attention from problems that truly need to be solved…….

But one of the biggest role players in our Congress is the Honorable representative from San Diego, CA….one Issa!

This guy has spent his time in Congress making work for bureaucrats….wasting the people’s money….and being a complete “tool”……

Rep. Darrell Issa is out with a report (please read his report) this morning claiming that the Obama administration has engaged in an unprecedented amount of illegal propaganda.

Issa, the top Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, made the request to the Government Accountability Office Monday following his own investigation. Issa accuses the White House of, among other things, using the National Endowment for the Arts and the Department of Health and Human Services to press organizations and members of Congress to support President Barack Obama’s health care plan.

This is a utter waste of time and resources….maybe the people in Issa’s district should demand a refund on the salary he is paid for he is obviously NOT doing the business of the country but rather attempting to play political games that benefits NO one but him.

The people of his district really need to question this dicks motives….they will not…they will continue, like so many other Americans, to let self-serving a/holes represent them and blame their non action on others…….America can live without morons and demi-gods….what we need are statesmen and there are NONE in Washington….

  1. Yeah, you can kind of imagine this guy as some military commander complaining that one of his men does have his shirt buttoned up right whilst he watches the mushroom cloud pread over them all. Jerk!

    1. Yep and he sounds like a lot of them in Washington…..when will the people wake up to this type of BS and demand they do the business of the country?

      1. However much the people may demand it, I doubt these political jerks would take any notice…

  2. Out of curiousity, what if Issa is right?

Would it still have been a waste of time and taxpayers’ money?

Funny, but I always thought the National Endowment of the Arts was a waste of taxpayers’ money. If something is worthy of being called “art”, it won’t need government subsidies to support it.

    1. Yes I would! It is a waste of money to pursue vendettas! Our country is in serious trouble, no matter what side you reside on, and the proper use of his time should to find solutions to real problems.

You find the NEA a waste of taxpayers money, I find war a waste of the same money….I would rather see my brother get money to fund his art project than come home in a body bag….I am funny that way.

      1. Your definition of vendetta seems vague.

The federal government pursued a “vendetta” using taxpayer money to sue the government of Arizona.

As Issa claims, the federal government pursued a “vendetta” using taxpayer money to promote ObamaCare.

The government uses tax dollars to pursue vendettas all the time, and it appears that since Issa did his homework, he wants the government to do its homework as well. And rightly it should. The government shouldn’t be using our taxes to promote its propoganda. (Lord knows it already does so enough by using tax dollars to pay unionized government workers.)

A war typically serves to protect national interests which include preserving civilian lives. The NEA serves to support “art” which oftentimes stinks.

Your brother doesn’t HAVE to join the military. Military service is a choice, and everyone who volunteers for the service knows what they risk.

      2. But he did have to serve….it was called the draft and he died in Vietnam…..now with that said what intersts was he serving in the country?

You are right the money is used in the manner you suggest and I find ALL of it offensive….we have enough problems that we do NOT need to make them up.

I do not know if I would call it a vendetta….I guess we could view it as such…..it sounds more like a constitutional thing….whereas the state is trying to usurp the federal governments power. Even if you dislike the immigration laws it is still in the field of the federal government not the state….once again I am speaking purely on the basis of the Constitution….I try not to interject any emotionalism into it.

  3. Vietnam was a rather badly handled war…and a draft was probably not appropriate for that military venture.

Of course, Afghanistan is being handled just as Vietname was handled, and so it is no wonder that we have a hard time winning. I am sorry to hear about your brother’s death. But since today’s wars are not using drafted soldiers, your argument is not relevent.

Immigration enforcement is not limited to the federal government. And case law has established that states have the right to enforce current immigration law and even establish laws regarding illegal immigrants. What the states cannot do, however, is define what IS an illegal immigrant. That is left up to the federal government.

    1. Finally we agree on something…..Vietnam was a badly handled war……I knew we could do it eventually.

Sorry to say that it is relevant…..anytime an American soldier dies for the sake of adventurism it is valid.

      1. I don’t know that the American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan would appreciate your point-of-view: that they are risking their lives for adventurism.

I would say that originally they were being asked to risk their lives for the sake of retaliation for 9/11 and for national defense against Islamic threats in Afghanistan, and later in Iraq. Now what they are being asked to do is nation-build. Our government is telling them that it is for the sake of national defense. I say it is for the sake of their illogical multiculturalism and the refusal to bring out the big guns to annihilate the Taliban once and for all.

We are probably one of the most compassionate (if not suicidal) countries on the face of the planet: needlessly putting our own people into harm’s way to avoid the deaths of foreign nationals. What other nation would be asked to do that (other than Israel)?

      2. They did their job in the first year….they whacked the Taleban and put AQ on the run….now they are just trying to build a nation where one cannot be built. Democracy is not an option in Afghanistan, at least right now….the country is still in the 14th century……

They, the military, has done its job….time for them to come home and let the Afghans handle their own country.

I have written several posts on the Afghan thing….check them out if you get the chance.

    1. Cool! I knew we had it in us. BTW…I do appreciate the comments…this is why I spend so many hours in front of this thing….thanx so much.
