For Sue: A Tribute

Today would have been Sue’s 70th birthday.

This has been the most difficult post to write….I find myself at a loss of words for this good-bye.

I have a difficult time putting into words just what Sue means to me.

On the night of 12 March 2025 my partner, Sue, passed away from cancer.  She had been fighting aggressive skin cancer for 5 years and it finally took its toll.

We had been partners for 18 years, we found each other late in life and it was a magical moment….we found that we had so much in common that we were drawn together immediately.

We were both veterans….she was Navy and I Army our military jobs were very similar….we both had disastrous encounters with the opposite sex….we both enjoyed a simpler way of life.

It was a great 18 years we traveled and lived life to the brink…..I was very happy more so than I had ever been in any other relationship I had up to that point.

Our first date was in a tavern called Skeeters where we spent about 5 hours talking, eating and just getting to know each other….although at first she let me talk way too much as I was very nervous at first.

We found out that we enjoyed many of the same things like peanut butter, she liked smooth I liked crunchy and cheese different types although she did not like what she called stinky cheese.

We spent the next days IMing (those were the days before smartphones or texting) each other in the early morning hours before she had to get ready for work.

After a couple of weeks of dating we decided that we would like to try being exclusive and that worked well.  She eventually sold her house and moved in with me and we never looked back……18 years of joy and love.

After all those years it seemed if we could read each minds for many of our thoughts were insych.  We both did not deal with idiots lightly……I was the vocal one and she was there to keep me in line and avoid some sort of confrontation….I miss that.

We never let a day go by without saying ‘I love you’….I miss that.

Sue would do anything for anybody that needed help which I could not do for I am a suspicious person deep down.

Although she has been gone for over 6 months I still cannot reconcile that she has left….I still look for her in her favorite spots in the house and I find myself talking to her on occasion.

It has been difficult at times without her around to keep me from being an ass…..my daughter who Sue loved like her own is missing her as much as I….we console each other when necessary.

My words are feeble to express my admiration, respect, love for the woman that became my rock in trying times.

I just want to say ‘Happy Birthday’ my love and we miss you so very much.

These are the three songs that Sue loved….I cannot listen to them right now without getting misty…..enjoy.

Thanks for reading and this will be my only post today for I need the day.

Last Week At The Sh*t Show–21Sep25

Another week of vile rhetoric and idle promises from Donny and the Gang of sycophants….

The week was full of threats and vile rhetoric over the death of a MAGA blowhard….

My daughter sent me something she saw on social media….

Donny said that in the last year 300 million people died from illegal drugs….

the comments….

That explains a lot since there are about 330 million Americans then we are all dead and we are in Hell.

Donny is planning something for the Magic Sharpie to do a new EO on domestic terrorism…..coming soon to a news source near you.

The golden statue craze continues….

Things looked golden for President Donald Trump Wednesday when a group unveiled a 12-foot-tall statue of him outside of the U.S. Capitol.

The crypto investors who funded the golden statue of Trump holding a Bitcoin timed its unveiling with the Federal Reserve’s interest rate announcement.

The group said the installation was “a tribute to Donald Trump’s vocal advocacy for cryptocurrency and serves as a provocative statement on the evolving landscape of digital finance.”

The investors said they intended the statue to be a catalyst for conversations about cryptocurrency, monetary policy, and the federal government’s role in modern financial markets.

That ought to please Donny to no end.

One of the most infantile decisions uttered by Lord High Donny….

Donald Trump is apparently intent on punishing media figures deemed guilty of lèse-majesté against him. The day after Jimmy Kimmel was censored at the behest of the Federal Communications Commission, the president told reporters that networks are “not allowed” to excessively bash him.

“When you have a network, and you have evening shows, and all they do is hit Trump, that’s all they do—if you go back, I guess they haven’t had a conservative one in years, or something.… When you go back and take a look, all they do is hit Trump. They’re licensed. They’re not allowed to do that,” Trump said Thursday aboard Air Force One.

https://newrepublic.com/post/200666/trump-saying-mean-things-not-allowed

Poor baby people saying mean things about him…..hurts his fragile feelings.

One of Donny’s lackeys has pulled the plug on cancer research….

The United States’ standing as an important place for cancer research is under threat.

As the New York Times reports, the Trump administration has dramatically slashed funding to US-based cancer research, endangering the country’s overall leading position in science research — not to mention the fates of cancer patients across the country.

“We are great in science,” Harold Varmus, former director of the National Institute of Health (NIH) and a Nobel prize-winning scientist, told the NYT. “Why would we want to destroy one of our greatest assets?”

In the first three months of his second term, Trump has slashed $2.7 billion from the NIH’s budget. Federal cancer research, in particular, has seen drastic reductions, which critics say will hamper any advancement in finding effective treatments. This has translated into mass layoffs and the freezing of important ongoing studies.

In addition, Trump has proposed another round of cuts for next year, such as reducing the budget of the NIH agency, the National Cancer Institute, from $7.2 billion to $4.5 billion, according to the NYT.

https://futurism.com/neoscope/trump-shutting-down-cancer-research

Another great idea from minuscule mind of Donny.

Remember back in the day when all violence was blamed on video games?

America’s health crank in chief Robert F. Kennedy Jr is promising to unearth the root cause of the deadly mass shootings gripping our country. His absurd conclusion? Video games, a long-debunked scapegoat for public violence in America.

During a press briefing to discuss his “Make America Healthy Again” commission’s latest report on Wednesday, the Department of Health and Human Services secretary speculated about what caused a “sudden onset” of gun violence that kicked off in the 1990s. That’s when he started throwing out a scattershot farrago of non-firearm related culprits.

“One is the dependence on psychiatric drugs,” RFK said, “which in our country is unlike any other country in the world.”

“There could be connections with video games, with social media,” he mused.

https://futurism.com/neoscope/rfk-mass-shootings-video-games

Apparently as usual the availability of guns has nothing to do with the violence.

The FBI under Blondi at DoJ decided to dispose of the meth they were holding and as usual a Trump admin decisions went to shit….

You work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and you’re sitting on two pounds of seized methamphetamines that you need to get rid of. So what do you do? Burn it all in a pet shelter smack-dab in the middle of town, of course.

It sounds beyond parody, but these are the events that played out in Billings, Montana, last Wednesday. And it did not go according to plan.

As the Associated Press reports, the toxic smoke cloud from the incinerated meth — a dangerous and addictive stimulant — didn’t waft harmlessly into the atmosphere, but instead began to fill the building.

In the aftermath, over a dozen employees of the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter were evacuated and sent to the hospital. It was “not a party,” shelter director Triniti Halverson told the AP. Halverson suffered from an intense headache and a sore throat, while her colleagues experienced dizziness, sweating, and coughing.

The ludicrous debacle comes as the FBI faces scrutiny over politicization under the Trump administration and a poorly handled manhunt over the past week.

A few weeks ago the big story was the drop in American births….so much so that Donny came up with a bunch of crazy ideas to compensate women for having more babies…..but very little was said about the cause….now a Donny blowhard, Kid Rock, has come up with a reason for the drop in births….

A recent Fox News interview featuring Kid Rock has stirred up heated reactions after the musician blamed America’s low birth rates on what he called “ugly, broke, crazy, deranged” liberal women. The comment drew sharp rebukes from critics, including Dolly Parton’s sister Stella. Who fired back with her own colorful language about the rock star’s dating prospects.

But behind the inflammatory rhetoric lies a genuine demographic crisis that experts say has little to do with political affiliation or personal attractiveness.

During the Fox News segment, Kid Rock laughed when asked about concert attendees with female armpit hair. Then replied that America’s low birth rate suddenly made sense to him. “Who’s going to sleep with these ugly, broke, crazy, deranged, TDS liberal women? You look at these rallies, it’s like a bunch of women that no guy wants to sleep with and a bunch of dudes that want to sleep with each other.”

When Newsweek contacted Rock for clarification, he doubled down, saying, “I meant to say super duper ugly liberal women.”

Kid Rock Blames Declining U.S. Birth Rate on “Unattractive, Broke, Crazy Liberal Women”

Good thing he is a musician for he is out of his league as a thinker.

Can’t Fix Stupid!

Finally a couple of things in the continuing saga of Charlie the Mouth….

On the road to canonization….

A new bill has been filed in Oklahoma that says every public university in the state of Oklahoma must have a “Charlie Kirk Memorial Plaza” with a statute of the conservative political activist, shot dead on Sept. 10, and his family.

“Charlie Kirk, born on October 14, 1993, and tragically martyred by assassination on September 10, 2025, was a fearless defender of free speech, the founder and chief executive officer of Turning Point USA, and a transformative force in empowering young Americans to engage in open, robust discourse on college campuses”, the bill reads.

“In his honor and to perpetuate his legacy as a martyr for truth, faith, and the First Amendment, each institution within The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education shall establish on its campus a dedicated square or plaza.”

(themirror.com)

Makes me want to puke!

The Senate has jumped on the vulgar bandwagon….

The U.S. Senate has officially approved a National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk, honoring the conservative activist who was killed earlier this year. But the move is already drawing heavy criticism because the date chosen for the observance is October 14 — the exact same day as George Floyd’s birthday.

Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, became a polarizing figure in politics. His supporters saw him as a fierce advocate for conservative values, while his critics accused him of spreading division and misinformation. Following his death, Republican leaders pushed for a national remembrance day in his honor, framing it as recognition of his “impact on the political conversation.”

(balleralert.com)

How much more pathetic can these tools become?

Ever ask yourself why the GOP is kissing Kirk’s ass?  Could it be this….

Turning Point USA netted $85 million in revenue in 2024 alone, up more than 142% over the last five years. The vast majority, 99.2%, of that revenue comes from charitable contributions, including at least $350,000 from Kirk himself in 2024.

According to Kolvet, the organization brought in approximately 350,000 grassroots, “small dollar” donors.

“The goal was to get over 500,000 this year. And, given all that’s happened, we’ve eclipsed that goal, and that’s exciting,” he added.

(fortune.com)

Gaining access to 500,000 donors and $85 million has them jerking off ion the shower.

Whew!  That was a lot last week.

Time for me to bow out for the day and leave you with the week that was….as pathetic as it could be.

If weather permitting enjoy the last Sunday of Summer and as always….Be Well and Be Safe….

IST Saturday News Dump–20Sep25

Just a little something for my readers to think about on this late Summer Saturday….

Local–Still hot but we are still dodging those hurricanes….at least that is something.

A famous burger joint in Biloxi has closed down….Burger Burgers has decided to shut the doors after being a cultural hot spot for many years….

https://www.sunherald.com/entertainment/restaurants/article312175513.html

Sad….I had eaten there many times for it was one of the best burger joints I have ever visited…..and I do love a good burger.

Personal–It has been a horrible week….more dealing with Sue’s estate more people with hands out.

Let the post begin….

Has anyone else noticed that the push for plant based food has lost some of it luster?  The industry is cutting it’s loses….

Plant-based burgers were supposed to help wean Americans off their environmentally ruinous appetite for meat. But sales have plummeted amid a surging pro-meat trend embraced by the Trump administration, raising a key question – will vegetarianism ever take hold in the US?

This year has been a punishing one for the plant-based meat sector, led by companies such as Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods, with sales of refrigerated products slumping 17%. This follows a difficult 2024, during which sales fell 7%, furthering a multi-year spiral – last year Americans purchased 75m fewer units of plant-based meat than they did in 2022.

Despite hopes that burgers, sausages and chicken made from soy, peas and beans would curb Americans’ love of eating butchered animals – thereby reducing the rampant deforestation, water pollution and planet-heating emissions involved in raising livestock – these alternatives languish at just 1% of the total meat market in the US.

Sorry to be cruel but good riddance.

This is for all my science geeks….

It’s one thing when a respected scientist has a novel idea of what dark matter or dark energy might be, or what could explain spooky quantum phenomena like entanglement and superpositions.

But the wonders of the internet has brought an entire economy built on outrage and conspiracy theories, enabling even the most crackpot grifters and fringe scientists to reach a wide audience and easily make a quick buck. We’ve all heard them rage against vaccines and seed oils, but one of their buzziest claims lately might surprise you: that theoretical physics are all lying to us, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Allegedly, theoretical physicists are corrupt and collude with each other to uphold groupthink. The lack of worldchanging discoveries in recent decades, or a framework that reconciles quantum mechanics and classical physics, evinces an academic establishment that’s become enfeebled by its unwillingness to allow room for disagreement or to entertain more radical ideas.

https://futurism.com/fringe-physics-wrong

Speaking of science….are you interested in immortality?

Homo sapiens have remarkable regenerative abilities—wounds heal, bone fractures “thread” back together, and some organs can even regrow from devastating injury—but none of these biological bonafides compares to the healing power of the humble starlet sea anemone (Nematostella vectensis).

Located along the eastern coast of the U.S., with a few introduced populations scattered along the western U.S. coast and the southeast coast of Britain, this sea anemone is a member of the sea-dwelling phylum Cnidaria, which is well-known for its full-body regenerative abilities—so much so that some animals in this phylum, such as the jellyfish Turritopsis dohrnii, are functionally immortal. Because of this ability to seemingly defy the aging process, these animals have figured prominently in anti-aging research.

Now, in a study published in the journal Science Advances, researchers from the University of Vienna have possibly identified small, multi-potent cells in scarlet sea anemones that basically allow cnidarians to continually drink from the proverbial fountain of youth. In humans, stems cells allow limited regeneration of certain cells in our body (which is why they’re central to the exploration of anti-aging therapies), however, other animals display much greater, whole-body regenerative abilities compared to us humans.

The flesh eating problem is expanding….

A fifth person in Louisiana has died this year after being infected by Vibrio vulnificus, a rare bacteria responsible for causing life-threatening skin and tissue infections, according to state health officials. Often called flesh-eating bacteria, Vibrio vulnificus thrives in warm coastal waters and tends to be more prevalent between May and October. Health officials warn that the bacteria—once mostly a southern threat—may be spreading further north, CBS News reports.

The latest victim’s identity and method of exposure were not disclosed. The bacteria can enter the body through open wounds exposed to contaminated water or by eating raw or undercooked seafood—particularly oysters. Earlier this year, Louisiana officials confirmed that two deaths were linked to eating raw oysters. Symptoms can include gastrointestinal illness, fever, blistering, and dangerously low blood pressure, per WWLTV.

Louisiana had averaged about seven Vibrio vulnificus infections and one death annually over the past decade. But cases are climbing: There have been 26 documented infections in the state so far this year; 85% involved wound/seawater exposure. Neighboring Alabama has seen 10 cases, Mississippi three (including one death), and Florida has reported 13 cases with eight fatalities. Some oyster beds have been shut down as a precaution, per CBS.

Kinda craps on the idea of a day at the beach.

A new meaning of ‘die hard’….

You know the stories: a flash of light, a tunnel, maybe even a mysterious voice telling you it’s not your time. Near-death experiences have fascinated people for decades, but now scientists are starting to think there’s something even stranger going on: Right as the body shuts down, the brain might be kicking into overdrive, firing off one last burst of consciousness in a final push to stay alive.

That’s the mind-blowing idea behind one of Pop Mech’s most-read recent stories, “A ‘Twilight Consciousness’ May Exist in Dying Patients. Could That Mean Death Isn’t Final?” In the story, scientists detail a huge spike in gamma brainwaves—those linked with memory, awareness, and sensory experience—after patients are declared clinically dead. The discovery basically challenges everything we thought we knew about what it means to die.

Watch Andrew Daniels and John Gilpatrick break down the weird phenomenon of “twilight consciousness” and share a few stranger-than-fiction stories, like the man who woke up on the operating table just before his organs were harvested, and the 95-year-old woman who rose from her coffin after six days and made herself a bowl of porridge because she was hungry.

Autumn is coming and with it will come those leaves that must be raked up and disposed of but while they are piled up they are targets for kids and pets….but are they safe?

If you’re lucky enough to live somewhere with iconic, vibrant autumns, you’re probably familiar with the other side of that experience: leaves everywhere. Watching those orange, yellow, and red leaves fall to the ground can feel a little less gratifying knowing you’ll have to rake them all into piles later.

Still, those raked leaf piles present their own opportunities for fun. From Charlie Brown and Snoopy to Calvin and Hobbes, leaping full-force into a mound of leaves is a classic way to enjoy the outdoors once summer wanes.

It’s hard to imagine that this iconic pastime could pose any serious threat, but there are actually some risks involved for both children and adults. Below, we’ll go over some of the biggest concerns around jumping in leaf piles and what you can do to be as safe as possible while soaking up the autumn season.

A few years back there was a major story of cheating…..it was at a bass fishing tournament where a couple guys added weight to their catch to win….now we have cheaters in a rock skipping contest….

A decades-old stone-skipping contest on a tiny Scottish island made waves this year—not for record throws, but for a cheating scandal. The rules of the Easdale island contest are simple: A competitor can use only naturally formed stones from Easdale itself, and nothing wider than 3 inches, verified by the contest’s metal “ring of truth.” But this year, organizers say, a few participants slipped in doctored stones in pursuit of the world championship title. They’d been ground too perfectly round, per the BBC. Event commentator and “Toss Master” Kyle Mathews, who watched all 1,200 throws, said the breach only underscored the lengths people will go for a win, calling it “flattering” in its own way, per the New York Times.

Allegations of cheating first emerged during the Sept. 6 event, which included 400 participants. When confronted after the fact, those involved quickly admitted their misdeeds and accepted disqualification. “You wouldn’t get that in a lot of sports,” said six-time women’s champion Lucy Wood, who praised how organizers handled the fallout, per the Times. Jon Jennings, this year’s open category champion and the contest’s first American winner, hopes the cheating won’t overshadow the event’s quirky, communal vibe. The annual championship, which began in 1983 in a local pub, remains a fiercely competitive but good-natured affair. This year’s event brought 2,200 spectators from 27 countries to the car-free island that’s home to just 60 permanent residents, per the BBC.

Seriously?  Skipping stones is that important?

My time to bow out…..I hope everyone found something informative or at least entertaining today.

Please find the time to enjoy family and friends and life on this last weekend of Summer…..and as always….Be Well and Be Safe….

Only Roaches Remain

After a week of tiresome political nonsense I thought I would take a different direction……

And now for something completely different…..

I am sure that you have heard the old meme that after a worldwide nuclear war the only things left alive were roaches and Keith Richards…..

Well that maybe partially accurate according to scientists…

In a world rife with uncertainties, the mere thought of a nuclear event sends chills down the spine. While no one ever hopes to witness such a catastrophe, nature has equipped certain creatures with remarkable resilience. From microscopic marvels to everyday insects, these organisms have adapted to withstand conditions that humans can scarcely imagine. In this fascinating exploration, we delve into the lives of 11 incredible creatures that could survive a nuclear blast, revealing their unique capabilities and the science behind their indestructibility.

Often referred to as “water bears,” tardigrades are microscopic creatures renowned for their incredible robustness. These tiny organisms can endure extreme temperatures, high radiation levels, and even the vacuum of space. Tardigrades achieve this through a process known as cryptobiosis, where they essentially desiccate their bodies, halting all metabolic processes. This state allows them to survive harsh environments, including the aftermath of a nuclear explosion.

Cockroaches have long been infamous for their association with post-apocalyptic survival. While not entirely invincible, these resilient insects can withstand significantly higher levels of radiation than humans. Their rapid reproductive cycle and ability to thrive on minimal resources make them likely contenders for nuclear survival. Cockroaches’ simple bodily structure contributes to their hardiness, allowing them to recover quickly from radiation damage.

11 Creatures That Can Survive a Nuclear Blast

And of course Keith Richards.

If you were lucky enough to find shelter these are what you would have to deal with once you re-entered the world…..creepy crawlies….

That does it for this week…..I hope everyone has a wonderful late Summer weekend.

How Do We Feel About War?

With the announcement of a plan to send US troops back into Afghanistan I thought I would take a look at the attitudes toward war.

When I read blogs and the comments I get the feeling that Americans as a whole are a war mongering lot…..they seem to be all for spending trillions on war materials and cheer-lead conflicts around the world.

But is my perception accurate?

A couple of people give their thoughts on our endless wars….

When I was in Congress, the least popular, least respected members were the biggest publicity seekers – the ones who were the first and quickest to run to the cameras. They were not regarded as serious legislators. Thus, I have not been a big fan of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. However, several days ago, she wrote some words on her X account which I think express the feelings and frustrations of the overwhelming majority of Americans. The following are her words:

“I’m 51 years old. I’m GenX.

“I’ve watched our country go to war in foreign lands for foreign causes on behalf of foreign interests for as long as I can remember. I was in 10th grade when Desert Storm started and my father before me was sent to Vietnam, another senseless foreign war.

“America is $37 TRILLION in debt and all of these foreign wars have cost Americans TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS of dollars that never benefited any American.

“American troops have been killed and forever torn apart physically and mentally for regime change, foreign wars, and for military industrial base profits.

“I’m sick of it.

Rep. Greene is right. We should never fight another country’s war. President Reagan said we should fight only for a “cause that is vital to our national interest.”

He also said that “our troops should be committed to combat abroad only as a last resort, when no other choice is available.”

Sen. Robert Taft, sometimes referred to as Mr. Republican in the 1940s and 50s, was so respected that he was one of only six senators featured in John F. Kennedy’s book “Profiles In Courage.”

Taft said: “No foreign policy can be justified except a policy devoted without reservation or diversion to the protection of liberty of the American people, with war only as the last resort and only to preserve that liberty.”

Both Reagan and Taft used the words “last resort.” We were not anywhere even close to that point when we bombed Iran on June 24.

https://original.antiwar.com/rep-john-j-duncan-jr./2025/07/09/the-way-most-americans-feel-about-foreign-wars/

I am surprised that I agree with Greene on this issue….the rest of her babbling is out in right field that makes no sense whatsoever…..at least to me.

You want to lessen our deficit then stop fighting everyone’s wars for them and stop trying to be the world’s only arms dealer.

It is not rocket science…..a little commonsense goes a long way.

Another ‘Brilliant’ Idea

Over the past months there has been a wealth of ‘brilliant’ ideas floated by His Lord High Dipstick and now we have one of his best…..

President Donald Trump on Thursday announced plans to station U.S. troops back in Afghanistan. The president, who campaigned on minimizing U.S. involvement in foreign entanglements, said he is in talks with the Taliban to regain control of Bagram air base.

The announcement came as Trump criticized the Biden administration’s 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan, which ended America’s longest war, during a press conference. Trump, arguing that he would have pulled out while retaining Bagram, described his efforts “to get it back,” without providing much detail.

“That could be a little breaking news,” Trump said. “We’re trying to get it back, because they need things from us. We want that base back.”

The president suggested that the Afghan air base, originally constructed by the Soviet Union in the 1950s, would serve a strategic purpose for Washington against China.

Without evidence, Trump alleged that “it’s an hour away from where China makes its nuclear weapons.” In recent months, he has repeatedly mused about the air base—claiming falsely that it is occupied or “controlled” by Beijing, and baselessly asserting its close proximity to Chinese nuclear weapons plants.

(newrepublic.com)

It’s unclear how the Taliban will respond to Trump’s proposal to reoccupy part of Afghanistan. Last week, Washington made a prisoner exchange deal with the Taliban that is part of a larger effort to normalize US-Afghan relations.

Seriously?

Is this really a good idea?

How long will it be before fresh attacks on Americans commences?

Anyone else see the folly in this thoughtless plan?

The biggest question is….WHY?

That war lasted 20+ years do we really want to chance another 20 for some vague bullshit?

All This Domestic Terrorism

Since the death of Charlie there has been a lot of chest thumping about domestic terrorism…..and the blame aimed toward the Dems and anyone who does not agree with the silly policies of Donny and his compliant thugs….

Donny has floated the idea of putting antifa on the list of domestic terrorist organization.

President Trump announced from the UK, where he is currently on a state visit, that he plans to designate antifa a terrorist organization, though it’s not clear exactly how that will work. The president made the announcement on his Truth Social network around 1:30am local time Thursday, the AP reports. “I am pleased to inform our many USA Patriots that I am designating ANTIFA, A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER, AS A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION,” he wrote. “I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” As multiple news outlets including Politico are pointing out, however, it’s unclear how Trump can carry out his plan.

Antifa, short for anti-fascist, is an umbrella term for groups that resist fascism and neo-Nazis, and as it’s a decentralized movement, it’s not clear how the terrorist group label could be applied. Former FBI Director Christopher Wray said during a 2020 Congressional hearing that antifa is “a movement or an ideology,” not an organization. And since it’s domestic, it can’t be included on the State Department list of foreign terror organizations. There is currently no domestic equivalent, partially because of the First Amendment rights afforded to US groups. Trump on Monday said he would designate antifa a domestic terror organization if his cabinet, including the attorney general, agreed, Fox News reports. In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s shooting, multiple members of the Trump administration have indicated plans to halt any criticism of the rightwing activist.

Blondi will do whatever the half-wit wants and put a non-existent organization on the domestic terrorists list.  IDIOTS!

In fact this is just red meat for morons!

For those that are slow on the uptake….antifa is NOT an organization….there is NO national headquarters, No national leader, No membership dues….it is NOT an organization….it is a group of people that are not afraid to confront Nazis and anyone who espouses their twisted thinking.

So for MAGA idiots and their disgusting leader to keep beating a dead horse….most of the violence comes in from the Right….

Within the past few days, the Department of Justice deleted one of its own studies from its website showing that “far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists.”

The timing comes just a few days after Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on September 10. Tyler Robinson, 22, has been arrested and charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, two counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child. The state is seeking the death penalty.

Kirk was a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, encouraging the young voters in his organization to vote for Trump during his presidential campaigns and speaking at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last year. In the wake of Kirk’s death, Trump and other Republicans have broadly blamed the “radical left” for the shooting.

The deletion of the study from the DOJ website was flagged by Daniel Malmer, a PhD student at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill who is studying “online extremism, radicalization, and conspiracy beliefs.”

DOJ Deletes Its Own Study From Website Showing ‘Far More’ Domestic Terrorism Committed by ‘Far-Right Extremists’

That is what they do…..delete anything that contradicts their desired outcome…..classic authoritarian move.

I pity the morons that support this demented slug for this will come back and bite them in the ass….and I will smile for they deserve everything that comes.

+++A closing thought–this will be it for today because I return to the hospital for more poking, prodding and scanning….I shall return tomorrow…..you have been warned.+++

Peace Out!

Democracy For A Peaceful World

Since the early years of my schooling I was taught that the US was a beacon of freedom and democracy in this world.

The original mission statement for the Department of State was that it was to promote democracy and human rights….I believe that mission statement has been changed in the last few months.

The high moral ideal that democracy promotes peace is being challenged these days.

This is an article from Switzerland…..

Switzerland is not only a peaceful, democratic country, it is also – as stated in its constitution – committed to democracy and the peaceful “coexistence of peoples” worldwide. The extent to which democracy and peace are linked from a Swiss perspective is demonstrated by the fact that the promotion of democracy is the responsibility of the “Peace and Human Rights” department in the foreign ministry.

The perspective that democratisation brings peace has also had an impact internationally since 1945. Since the Second World War, the number of interstate wars has decreased and the number of democratic states has increased.

In 2024, there were once again more autocratic states than democratic ones. And liberal democracies, which respect the rights and freedoms of the individual, have even become a rare form of government. Only 900 million people live in a liberal democracy. In contrast, 72% of the world’s population live in a dictatorship. This is the highest number since 1978. At the same time, Western countries, above all the US, are scaling back their promotion of democracy abroad.

Are these developments linked to the many conflicts that exist around the world?

In addition to peace, prosperity in particular has long been a promise of democratisation, political scientist Karina Mross told Swissinfo. “But the example of China has undermined this argument. Especially since China is trying to define its own form of democracy,” she said.

A few years ago, China presented an argument as to why dictatorship is “a democracy that works”External link. Authoritarian states are trying – also in international organisations – to counter the liberal order with their own alternative model of values and prosperity.

If the economic argument is dropped, the question arises as to whether democratisation is at least a guarantee for peace.

In recent years I have not seen the promise of democracy brings with it a peaceful world.

Has anyone else had this vision?

What makes anyone think that a country that spends a trillion dollars on war prep is working for a more peaceful world?

Indicators point o a problem….

In 2024, the number of state-based conflicts worldwide reached its highest level since 1946. Military expenditures have risen for 10 consecutive years, surpassing $2.7 trillion annually.

A record number of children have been victims of armed conflict, and gains in women’s rights hang in the balance around the world amid record levels of conflict.

The world is confronting converging crises. In September 2024, the United Nations convened the Summit for the Future, an initiative by the UN secretary-general aimed at addressing the collapse of the post-Cold War multilateral system, as well as the increasing number of conflicts and humanitarian emergencies. All of this is occurring in the climate change era.

The world does not need more wars….even our once proud nation has been slowly drifting away from being a safe place….

Global Peace Index (GPI), released annually by the Institute for Economics & Peace, provides a look at the country’s overall safety and security—and it’s concerning. The Index rates more than 160 nations on factors like crime, conflict, and military spending. In the most recent report, the United States ranks near the bottom.

The 2025 results officially place the U.S. among the least peaceful countries in the world. Here’s more insight into why America’s score is so low and how it compares with other nations.

How sad is that?  But not to worry it will make america great again, right?

Just wondering.

Those Bastards On The Far Left

Many of the mindless drones on the Right are spouting lots of crap about all those on the far Left…..especially those dolts in the Donny Praise Society unknown as the Cabinet and especially that idiot number 2, Vance…..

His latest statement is a typical of a mindless regurgitation….

Vice President JD Vance hosted an episode of The Charlie Kirk Show from the White House on Monday, and his guests included White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, who said the killing of the show’s namesake will lead to a crackdown on leftist groups that he described as a domestic terror movement. “With God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have at the Department of Justice, Homeland Security and throughout this government to identify, disrupt, dismantle and destroy these networks and make America safe again for the American people,” Miller said. Vance said the White House would “work to dismantle the institutions that promote violence and terrorism in our own country.”

  • “The organized doxxing campaigns, the organized riots, the organized street violence, the organized campaigns of dehumanization, vilification, posting people’s addresses, combining that with messaging that’s designed to trigger and incite violence and the actual organized cells that carry out and facilitate the violence,” Miller said. “It is a vast domestic terror movement.” He said the crackdown would happen “in Charlie’s name.”
  • Vance opened the show by saying he was “filling in for somebody who cannot be filled in for, but I’ll do my best,” the AP reports. He said Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, told him the 31-year-old was never “cross or mean-spirited” to her. “I took from that moment that I needed to be a better husband and I needed to be a better father,” Vance said. “That is the way I’m going to honor my friend.”
  • Later in the show, Vance said that he was “desperate” for national unity, but that there can be “no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s assassination.” “When you see someone celebrating Charlie’s murder, call them out,” he said, per NBC News. “And, hell, call their employer. We don’t believe in political violence, but we do believe in civility, and there is no civility in the celebration of political assassination.”
  • “This is not a both-sides problem,” Vance said. “While our side of the aisle certainly has its crazies, it is a statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the far left.”
  • Vance’s other guests included Tucker Carlson, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. Kennedy described Kirk as a “spiritual soulmate” who “orchestrated” his endorsement of Trump last year at an Arizona rally organized by Kirk’s Turning Point USA group, the Guardian reports.

As someone who has been on thee Left most of my adult life would you please tell me who these ‘extremists’ are?

They have no f**king idea who they are it is just red meat for those worthless spineless supporters to keep them in their corner.

It is just like all those they call socialists….in actuality none of them would know a socialist if he walked up and bit them in the ass….it is nothing more than a simple slogan that is easily remembered by the mental midgets.

Now idiot in charge has called for an assault on the Left….

President Donald Trump revealed on Monday that he was considering designating Antifa and other far-left “radical groups” as domestic terror organizations following the murder of Charlie Kirk.

Asked, “Do you plan on designating Antifa finally a domestic terror organization?” the president responded, “Well, it’s something I would do, yeah. If I have support from the people back here– I think we’d start with Pam, I think. But I would– if you give me– I would do that 100%, and others also, by the way. But Antifa is terrible.”

Trump then added that there were “other groups” he would also consider designating as domestic terror organizations, remarking, “They have some pretty radical groups and they got away with murder.”

“Also, I’ve been speaking to the attorney general about bringing RICO against some of the people that you’ve been reading about that have been putting up millions and millions of dollars for agitation,” he concluded. “These aren’t protests, these are crimes what they’re doing.”

Trump received renewed calls to go after Antifa – which has a lengthy history of engaging in violence – following the assassination of Kirk at Utah Valley University last week.

Trump Says He Wants to Designate Antifa, Other ‘Radical Groups’ as Domestic Terrorist Organizations: ‘They Got Away With Murder’

This is such bullshit!

Proud Boys and Oath Keepers are not ‘terrorists’ but antifa is…..you morons realize that antifa is NOT an organization there is no ‘leader’, there is no national headquarters it merely stands for anti-fascist.

Can they say that about the others?

They have NO idea what they say or what they want to do other than keep people divided and rabid.

Especially Blondi, DoJ, and her most recent statement….

Attorney General Pam Bondi has doubled down on her attack on free speech after a MAGA backlash, vowing to use the full force of the law to crack down on left-wing people using violent rhetoric to silence conservatives.

“Hate speech that crosses the line into threats of violence is NOT protected by the First Amendment. It’s a crime,” she posted on X.  (too bad that does not include all the hate speech)

“For far too long, we’ve watched the radical left normalize threats, call for assassinations, and cheer on political violence. That era is over.”

(thedailybeast.com)

They just cannot help themselves….

Speaking again on Tuesday, days after the killing, Trump said that “most of the violence is on the left.”

But the data tells a different story. In the last five years, 81 people have been killed by political violence in the United States. Right-wing terrorists account for over half of those murders, some 54%, according to research by the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank. Islamists account for 21%, and left-wingers for 22%.

The same study looked at data as far back as 1975 and found that terrorists inspired by Islamist ideology account for some 87% of all deaths (3122) from political violence, due to the mass casualties of the 9/11 attacks.

Excluding the 9/11 attacks, over the same period, terrorists inspired by right-wing ideology are responsible for 63% of deaths from political violence during that time, compared to 10% for left-wing attacks. Since 1975, there have been 391 deaths caused by right-wing terror attacks in the United States, and 65 deaths from left-wing terror attacks.

Is Inflation Under Control?

If one does their own shopping I do not think they will see it as under control.

But Donny tells us that he has “licked inflation”…..but sadly that is another of his wild accusations that just does not hole water…..

President Donald Trump has declared inflation “solved” as Americans are paying more for everyday goods like gas and groceries.

“I’ve already solved inflation,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” on Friday morning. “Costs are down.”

The president went on to boast, “I’ve solved just about every problem.”

But statistics from the U.S. Department of Labor show Americans are paying more—in some cases far more—at the pump and at the checkout line.

“Inflation inched higher last month as Americans closed out the summer paying more for both groceries and gasoline,” NPR reported on Thursday. “Consumer prices in August were up 2.9% from a year ago, according to a report Thursday from the Labor Department. That’s a sharper annual increase than the previous month, when inflation was clocked at 2.7%.”

During the 2024 presidential campaign, Donald Trump vowed to lower prices “on day one.”

Yet, due in part to his sweeping tariffs, “Virtually all major grocery categories are now more expensive than they were a year ago, some substantially so,” according to Axios. “This was the biggest month-over-month increase since August 2022, the tail end of a year of huge monthly increases in grocery prices.

Overall, the cost of groceries in August was up 0.6% over July’s prices, and the price of gas jumped 1.9% in just one month, according to NPR.

(alternet.org)

“He has solved almost every problem?

Which ones are those?

My wallet does not agree with the outright lie…..how about yours?

The inflation report was not the only troubling economic indicator, however.

The BLS also revealed that jobless claims in the US jumped to 263,000 last week, which was significantly higher than the 235,000 claims expected by economists. Joe Weisenthal, the co-host of the Bloomberg “Odd Lots” podcast, noted that this was the highest total for weekly jobless claims in nearly four years.

Long also flagged the worrying jobless claims number and predicted that it was just the start of a further downturn in the US economy.

“‘Cost cutting’ is back among CEOs and that is corporate speak for more layoffs,” she said. “It’s going to be a rough few months ahead as the tariffs impacts work their way through the economy. Americans will experience higher prices and (likely) more layoffs.”

(commondreams.org)

Now the Fed sees this rise in inflation and word is they will lower interest rates at their next meeting to try and stave off any thoughts of a recession.

But not to worry Donny has all this well in hand.

BULLOCKS!
