Was That A Mosquito Or A Drone?

I use to be an avid watcher of the TV series ‘Elementary’, a modern day Sherlock Holmes…..one episode was about an assassination of a guy by a drone in NYC and of course Sherlock was pressed into investigating….while he was a miniature drone was sent to keep an eye on his investigation, about the size of a fly….

I thought that was a Hell of an idea a miniature drone and its applications….

“Here in my hand is a mosquito-like type of robot. Miniature bionic robots like this one are especially suited to information reconnaissance and special missions on the battlefield,” Liang Hexiang, a student at the National University of Defence Technology (NUDT), told CCTV while holding up the drone between his fingers.

We’ve already entered the drone age. Once the stuff of science fiction, drones are now woven into everyday life. They inspect power lines, monitor endangered wildlife, and deliver medical supplies or even just groceries. But in warfare, their impact is most profound.

In conflicts from Ukraine to the Middle East, drones have transformed modern warfare — used for everything from precision strikes to real-time surveillance and even psychological operations. Cheap, commercially available quadcopters can be outfitted with explosives or cameras, turning them into weapons or eyes in the sky. Militaries and militias alike have embraced them, shifting the balance of power away from traditional forces. As this technology becomes smaller, smarter, and more autonomous, drones are rewriting the rules of engagement.

It’s designed to mimic the flight of real insects. Two leaf-like wings flap rapidly to keep it airborne, while three hair-thin legs may help it land or perch on surfaces. Though the design is biologically inspired, the engineering is anything but natural. Inside the body, advanced power systems, miniature sensors, and control electronics must all be packed into a space no larger than a coin.

Its biggest advantage is stealth. If the drone escapes undetected, it can offer valuable information in an urban setting. It could also be used in search and rescue missions or even in electronic or mass surveillance.

https://www.zmescience.com/science/news-science/mosquito-china-drones/

Obviously this smaller size would be perfect for intel gathering but could it be fitted with a potent quick acting toxin and used to eliminate adversaries?

As the article states China is not the only country in search of smaller and smaller drones.

Fascinating stuff.

The ‘American Dream’ Has Died

If you are older than say 35 you heard about the American Dream most of your life….that is a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence, a 2 car garage, 2.3 kids and a good job and a happy marriage…..but that dream is decaying as the years go by.

I recently wrote about this so-called ‘American Dream’ recently….

What Happened To The ‘American Dream’?

Here is a factoid to go with this post…..since 1978 workers income has risen 24% while CEO income has risen to 1000+%….so who is living the good life now?

That post attempted to explain what was happening to this concept….and the the country elected what could well be the final nail in the coffin….

Many immigrants embraced the concept of the ‘American Dream and in the process made this a better country….but that dream is sliding away….

There was once a time when the phrase “The American Dream” evoked images of opportunity—a place where hard work could elevate anyone, no matter their race, origin, or zip code; a melting pot of possibility. But in today’s America, that dream isn’t just fading—it’s been put on life support, and Donald Trump is hovering over it with a pillow.

With the latest rollout of Trump’s “voluntary deportation” initiative—complete with a convenient app, CBP Home, and a $1,000 travel stipend—his administration has made one thing painfully clear: the American Dream is no longer inclusive. It’s exclusive, strategic, and sanitized to favor a singular vision of what America “should” look like. Spoiler: it doesn’t include Black or Brown immigrants, innovation, or intellectual development.

Let’s call this what it is: state-sanctioned exile, wrapped in a digital bow and branded as “choice.” But when the “choices” are (a) leave with a stipend or (b) stay and risk arrest, detention, and permanent expulsion—how voluntary is that, really?

Make no mistake, Trump’s deportation program isn’t about law and order. It’s about erasure. It’s about reshaping the American identity to fit the white nationalist fantasy he and his base have been nurturing since before he descended that golden escalator. They’ve dressed it up as policy. But underneath, it’s just fear. Fear of change. Fear of equity. Fear of a future that doesn’t center whiteness.

What’s even more terrifying is that while Trump is busy targeting immigrants, his administration continues to gut the institutions that once gave America its competitive edge. Education? Slashed. STEM programs? Defunded. DEI initiatives? Dismantled. We’re not leading the world anymore—we’re lagging behind. Because you can’t innovate while waging war on knowledge. You can’t build a future while burning down access to it.

Thanks To Donald Trump, The American Dream Is Dead

But let’s look closer at what it will take to achieve this ‘Dream,’…..

Views vary widely by age and income. Two-thirds of Americans age 65 and older (68%) say the dream is still possible. Among those aged 50 to 64, the number is slightly lower at 61%. However, among adults under 50, only 42% think the dream is still attainable. Income tells a similar story. While 64% of upper-income Americans say the American dream is still achievable, only 39% of lower-income Americans agree. Middle-income Americans fall in between, with 56% saying the dream remains alive. While public opinion reveals how Americans feel about the dream, actual financial standings offer a different layer of insight.

https://scoop.upworthy.com/is-the-american-dream-still-achievable-heres-how-much-you-must-earn-in-2025-to-be-middle-class-ex1

If asked what will you tell your children about the American Dream?

That is the question that needs an answer.

How Did It Happen?

That is the ceasefire that is struggling right now come together to try and stop the insanity…..I am so glad you asked….

One name is emerging as a key figure in helping President Trump secure a ceasefire between Israel and Iran—the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. A rough chronology, from various reports.

  • On Monday afternoon, shortly after Iran’s relatively low-key retaliation against the US, Trump called Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu and secured a pledge to a ceasefire, reports the New York Times.
  • Trump then spoke with the Qatari emir to ask for help in getting Iran to agree as well, reports Reuters. Al Thani spoke with Iranian officials by phone and did so, according to the account.
  • When both sides agreed, Trump announced the deal on Truth Social, and it caught many administration officials by surprise, per the Times. However, three in the loop were Vice President JD Vance, envoy Steve Witkoff, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. All three had been using “direct and indirect” channels to convey messages to Iran, according to the account.
  • Rubio also reportedly spoke with Qatar’s prime minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, who is also believed to have helped sway the Iranians, perhaps in tandem with the emir.
  • Axios reports that Trump actually began pushing in earnest for a ceasefire on Saturday, after American bombers hit Iranian nuclear sites. The president instructed Witkoff that day “to communicate to the Iranians his desire “to negotiate a deal to end the war,” the report says. Iranian initially rebuffed him, saying it planned to retaliate first.

Thank you to all involved to help this insanity de-escalate.

But how did Donny accomplish this after the rocky start?

A fragile ceasefire between Israel and Iran appears to be holding after it got off to a shaky start, and President Trump publicly urged Israel to stop the bombing.

Trump announced the truce on Monday night, which was followed by heavy Israeli attacks on Tehran. Iran then hit back with several waves of ballistic missile strikes.

“[Iran] violated it, but Israel violated it too,” Trump told reporters on the White House lawn before boarding Marine One to go to the NATO summit in The Hague. “Israel, as soon as we made the deal, they came out and dropped a load of bombs the likes of which I’ve never seen before, the biggest load that we’ve seen. I’m not happy with Israel.”

When Trump announced the ceasefire, he said it would take effect in 12 hours. “When I say, ok, now you have 12 hours, you don’t go out in the first hour and just drop everything you have on them. So I’m not happy with them. I’m not happy with Iran either, but I’m really unhappy if Israel is going out this morning because of one rocket,” Trump said.

“We have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f–k they are doing,” the president added.

(antiwar.com)

Great job but I am a bit suspicious….but that is my nature….my bad.

On another front….after the airstrikes on the Iranian nuke sites we were told that they were ‘obliterated’…..hold the phone!

The US strikes on nuclear facilities in Iran were not as successful as President Trump claimed they were, according to details of an early intelligence assessment leaked to outlets including CNN. Trump said the Saturday strikes “completely obliterated” nuclear facilities but according to CNN’s sources, core components of Iran’s nuclear program, including its stockpile of enriched uranium, survived and the US strikes only set the program back “maybe a few months, tops.”

  • Sources tell the Washington Post that the Defense Intelligence Agency report, based on the Pentagon’s early assessment of damage, also concluded that many of the centrifuges Iran uses to enrich uranium survived the strikes on the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan sites. Sources said the strikes collapsed the entrances to two of the sites but did not destroy underground buildings.
  • Experts who looked at satellite photos earlier called the strikes “incomplete.” Reuters reports that the Trump administration told the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday that the strikes had “degraded” the program.
  • The assessment could change as more intelligence comes in, CNN notes. The White House said it rejected the report. “This alleged assessment is flat-out wrong and was classified as ‘top secret’ but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement. “The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump, and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program.”
  • Classified Iran briefings for the House and Senate were postponed on Tuesday. Democratic Rep. Mike Quigley, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, tells the Post that many lawmakers believe the hearings were delayed because the administration is embarrassed by the early intelligence reports. “They don’t delay briefings that have good news,” he says.

Only time will tell….if the reports are true then how long will it be before Israel starts their push for more US involvement?

Anyone want to venture a guess?

The Upside Of Tariffs?

I know, I know I have been critical of Donny’s one trick pony, tariffs….but in all fairness I want to let my readers know how the tariffs are effecting this country….

How much cash has been brought into the treasury?

President Donald Trump’s radical new tariff regime has brought in a surge of revenue from importers who must pay the higher duties. But is it enough to replace the income tax as the main source of funding for the federal government, as Trump administration officials have argued?

Treasury Department data shows that will be a massive stretch.

The United States has generated $74.3 billion this year from tariffs as of June 18, the latest data available — 84.7% more than the same time last year. Federal income taxes, meanwhile, brought in $2.4 trillion in 2024.

And the $34.1 billion difference in tariff revenue year-on-year is just part of the story. High levies can cause huge surges in revenue that later level off as trade patterns shift and businesses seek to lower costs along their supply chains.

https://www.politico.com/interactives/2025/trump-tariff-income-tracker/

To be clear I never question how much cash would be coming in……my main concern was what it would do to prices and effect the common person.

And along those lines this report….

Predictions from mainstream economists were dire after President Donald Trump launched his tariff campaign just a couple weeks after he began his second term in office: Prices would rise — sharply — they said, reigniting an inflation crisis that tens of millions of Americans had elected him to solve.

But that massive, tariff-induced inflation spike hasn’t materialized. Not even close.

Not yet, anyway.

Consumer prices rose just 2.4%, annually, last month, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That was less than economists had expected, and only slightly higher than the 2.3% rate in April, which was the US economy’s lowest inflation since February 2021. According to the Personal Consumption Expenditures price index most closely followed by the Federal Reserve, core inflation — which strips out volatile items like food and gas prices — fell to 2.5% in April. That was the lowest reading since March 2021.

Research firm Telsey Advisory Group, which has been tracking the prices of 80 select consumer items across a wide variety of retail categories, reported this week that just 19 products it has tracked have gained in price since mid-April — and 16 items’ prices fell. Similarly, the New York Times’ Wirecutter, which recommends consumer products, tracked the prices for 40 of its top picks over the course of two months and found this week that the vast majority didn’t change price at all: 10 gained in price and only half of those gained more than 7%.

“There haven’t been many significant upticks in prices as of yet given that many retailers are still selling through their lower-cost inventory,” Dana Telsey, CEO and chief research officer of Telsey Advisory Group told CNN.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/20/business/tariff-price-increases-inflation-explained

So far that is good news….but keep in mind that the harsher tariffs have been put into pause for a 90 day period and that is soon to expire….that is unless Donny does what I expect….another pause.

So far so good….but how long can that last?

For Whites Only

***Let me state from the beginning that at NO point do I agree with anything about this turn of events….I offer it up solely to show just how f*cked up these douche-bags are***

I grew up in the South so at my age I am well aware of the segregation and the ‘Whites Only” signs that were plastered everywhere.

Since about 2010 there has been more harsh language from nationalism and the tearing apart the Constitution…..and now it is becoming more and more troubling since that d/bag took office.

This is a paper that won an award for content….

A white nationalist recently won an academic award for his law school paper arguing how the constitution only applies to white people.

Preston Damsky, a proud white nationalist and antisemite, garnered acclaimed from a University of Florida professor over his paper detailing his interpretation of the doctrine. Last fall, he wrote the paper on “originalism” for the law school seminar. An idea upheld by many conservatives, originalism interprets the constitution as written during its original time period.

According to the New York Times, a Trump-appointed judge who taught the class awarded Damsky the highest honor for his paper. In his assignment, Damsky argued that “We The People,” as first written on the Constitution’s Preamble, actually refers to white people. With this mindset, he defended the idea of stripping voting rights for nonwhite citizens.

He further stated his support for shoot-to-kill orders toward “criminal infiltrators at the border.” He also referred to an America where white people did not make up the majority as a “terrible crime.” Damsky later uttered that white people “cannot be expected to meekly swallow this demographic assault on their sovereignty.”

Instead of concern for his viewpoints, his professor, Judge John L. Badalamenti, congratulated him on his provocative essay. Damsky received the book award, granted to the best student in the class, for his detailed work. Badalamenti did not comment on why he chose his recipient.

The award issuance sparked controversy across the school, with opposers stating Damsky’s recognition undermines his dangerous rhetoric. Despite the calls to revoke his award, the University of Florida’s interim dean Merritt McAlister affirmed the matter, citing his “free speech rights.” McAlister also noted  “institutional neutrality,” a new term in the rise of anti-DEI policies where schools remain impartial on political issues.

However, Damsky’s academic language did not continue on the internet. Months after the dean’s decision, Damsky created an X account to further showcase his views. His post that Jewish people must be ” abolished by any means necessary,” led to his latest scandal.

The jarring remark led to the University of Florida suspending him and barring him from campus. The University even boosted police presence at the law school. However, others believe the initial celebration of his works empowered Damsky to become even louder with his racist beliefs.

The issue also comes at a time where free speech has its own interpretation in Florida public institutions. One professor called out the double standards of Damsky being able to write his essay while she had to change the name of her class over its assertion of race.

(blackenterprise.com)

To me this is clearly racist BS….truth be told if one thinks about the Founders….who were they?

A bunch of white guys most of whom owned slaves….I can see where the jump can be made….not that I would ever agree with the premise at all.

Is It A Ceasefire?

Yes the US had hits on Iran’s nuke facilities and the world braced for the possible retaliation after all the tough talk….and then….

Iran has made its first retaliatory response to the US airstrikes—it fired a barrage of missiles at an American military base in Qatar on Monday, reports the Wall Street Journal. However, Qatar said it had successfully intercepted the missiles, or at least the first round of them. Sources tell the New York Times that Iran warned Qatari officials about the strikes in advance to minimize civilian casualties—and the attack came shortly after Qatar shut down its airspace.

Iran confirmed the attack on the Al Udeid Air Base after explosions were heard there. An announcement on Iran state TV boasted of “a mighty and successful response by the armed forces of Iran to America’s aggression,” per the AP. The base, headquarters of US Central Command, is the biggest American military installation in the Mideast. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties there.

After attack analysis…..

The Pentagon says it has no reports of injuries or deaths at its military base in Qatar after Iran fired a barrage of missiles, reports the Washington Post. And the AP notes that Iran made a point to say that it used the same number of missiles as the US dropped on Iran, which the outlet sees as a “likely desire to de-escalate.” Whether that’s an accurate read remains to be seen, but a few other details suggest that Tehran kept things relatively contained:

  • The New York Times, citing three Iranian officials, reports that Iran gave Qatar a head’s up about the attack on the Al Udeid Air Base in order to limit casualties. Qatar says it was able to intercept all the missiles, and the nation also shut down its airspace as a precaution.

After the smoke and dust had cleared Dear Clueless Leader announces a ceasefire…..

President Trump claimed in a post on Truth Social on Monday that Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire, ending what he called “The 12 Day War,” an announcement that came amid heavy Israeli attacks on Tehran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said in a post on X that there was no “agreement” on a ceasefire but said Iran would cease counterattacks on Israel if Israel stopped its strikes, which has been Tehran’s position.

“As Iran has repeatedly made clear: Israel launched war on Iran, not the other way around. As of now, there is NO ‘agreement’ on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations,” Aragchi said.

“However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards. The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later,” he added.

https://news.antiwar.com/2025/06/23/trump-says-iran-and-israel-have-agreed-to-a-ceasefire/

One note here….Neither Israel nor Iran immediately confirmed Trump’s announcement that they had agreed to a ceasefire.

Tit for tat warnings?

The New York Times, citing three Iranian officials, reports that Iran gave Qatar a head’s up about the attack on the Al Udeid Air Base in order to limit casualties. Qatar says it was able to intercept all the missiles, and the nation also shut down its airspace as a precaution.

I am sure that Qatar shared that info with the US.

Then there was a report that the US told Iran of the upcoming airstrike….

Vice President JD Vance raised major questions about the success of the U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities after suggesting that Tehran’s near-bomb-grade uranium was moved before the attacks.

Israeli sources were quoted as saying that Iran moved as much as 880 pounds of uranium enriched to 60 percent purity from a secure nuclear storage plant in the ancient city of Isfahan.

“Iran has made no secret that they have protected this material,” Mariano Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, told CNN.

Announcing the raids, the president said the nuclear sites at Fordo, Isfahan, and Natanz were “completely and fully obliterated.”

(thedailybeast.com)

The physical sites may have been obliterated but the material remains….where was the success?

The situation is still fluid in my opinion and subject to stupid thinking.

If the ceasefire is a reality then I say bully for not escalating this to the breaking point.

Here is a closing thought….the hope was the attack would cause a popular uprising against the standing government in Iran….so far that has not happened….

However, this strategy has already backfired. Instead of provoking division, namely between opponents of the Iranian government and its backers, the attacks have galvanized national unity across ideological lines. Millions have taken to the streets in cities across Iran including Tehran, Mashhad and Isfahan—not only in protest of foreign aggression, but in defense of Iran’s sovereignty. Even longstanding critics of Iran’s government have closed ranks, recognizing that the existential threat posed by US-Israeli aggression transcends domestic political grievances. Iranians around the country are now even assisting security forces to counter and dismantle espionage networks working with Mossad inside Iran. This convergence of sentiment, seen in everything from volunteer enlistments to mass mobilization efforts, underscores a recurring lesson of imperialist miscalculation: external pressures often consolidate, rather than fracture, national identity.

Does not look like ‘regime change’ is in the wind….for now….

Say Good-Bye To Wheat

For the last several weeks I have been watching and writing about the news coming out of the farming industry….and several people have commented about the pampered lifestyle of farmers (something I do not agree with in any way) but my posts were not a critique of farmers but rather how these news stories could impact our food supply….(that fact was duly missed as usual).

The people that are down on farmers are usually the first people to piss and moan about the price of a loaf of bread…..that is sad that they cannot see past their petty grievances.

The most recent report I read was the possibility of farmers giving up on the cultivation of wheat….

Once known for endless golden wheat fields, America’s heartland is watching its “amber waves of grain” fade as more farmers abandon wheat in search of crops that can actually turn a profit, reports Reuters. Wheat farmers across the Great Plains are facing a tough reality: low prices and persistent drought are making wheat less profitable, pushing many to switch crops or leave fields unharvested. In states like Nebraska, wheat acreage has dropped by more than half since 2005. Nationwide, farmers have abandoned between 20% and 33% of the winter wheat crop each year since 2020.

The combination of ongoing drought, abundant global wheat supplies, and stagnant prices—hovering around $5 per bushel—has squeezed profits. Even bumper crops have not improved the outlook: prices remain low due to competition from other major wheat-producing countries. While some farmers can recoup losses through crop insurance, most agree this isn’t a sustainable business model. The region now sees many producers turning to corn, soybeans, or livestock for better returns. Corn’s value in Kansas, for instance, is more than double that of wheat, despite wheat occupying more acreage.

Unlike corn and soybeans, wheat isn’t used by the biofuels industry, the Western Producer reports. “Unfortunately, our little wheat kernel doesn’t have enough sugar in it or enough of anything in it for us to be a viable commodity for renewable fuel program,” says Chandler Goule, chief executive of the National Association of Wheat Growers. But the decline is more than economic; it’s a cultural shift for a region whose identity is tied to wheat farming, per Reuters. Farmers have invested in irrigation and experimented with new wheat varieties, but they are still finding it hard to make money. As Lon Frahm, a large-scale Kansas farmer, put it: “It’s heritage, but there’s no profit.”

If this is reality then that means that the US may have to import wheat and that means if tariffs remain that any product made from wheat will be more expensive….like a loaf of bread for instance.

If you want to comment then please keep it on topic.

A Joke: Knock Knock

Who’s there?

Donny with a peace prize.

Just recently Pakistan has nominated Donny for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize….why is that?

he government of Pakistan on Friday recommended President Donald Trump for a 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for his role in de-escalating a brief conflict between India and Pakistan earlier this year.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration intervened to stop a conflict between Islamabad in New Delhi in its early stages after a terrorist attack in the Kashmir region led India to attack its Islamic neighbor.

“The Government of Pakistan has decided to formally recommend President Donald J. Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership during the recent India-Pakistan crisis,” the government stated.

“At a moment of heightened regional turbulence, President Trump demonstrated great strategic foresight and stellar statesmanship through robust diplomatic engagement with both Islamabad and New Delhi which de-escalated a rapidly deteriorating situation, ultimately securing a ceasefire and averting a broader conflict between the two nuclear states that would have had catastrophic consequences for millions of people in the region and beyond,” it went on. “This intervention stands as a testament to his role as a genuine peacemaker and his commitment to conflict resolution through dialogue.”

(justthenews.com)

“A genuine peacemaker”?  Seriously?

India did not see Donny’s role in the ceasefire….

Government officials from India have disputed Trump’s characterization of his role in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. According to a readout from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office, “Prime Minister Modi clearly conveyed to President Trump that at no point during this entire sequence of events was there any discussion, at any level, on an India-U.S. Trade Deal, or any proposal for a mediation by the U.S. between India and Pakistan. The discussion to cease military action took place directly between India and Pakistan through the existing channels of communication between the two armed forces, and it was initiated at Pakistan’s request.”

(mediaite.com)

Then of course Donny could not accept the nomination without trying to toot his own horn….and failed….

“I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for stopping the War between India and Pakistan, I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for stopping the War between Serbia and Kosovo, I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for keeping Peace between Egypt and Ethiopia (A massive Ethiopian built dam, stupidly financed by the United States of America, substantially reduces the water flowing into The Nile River),” Trump wrote on Friday. “And I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for doing the Abraham Accords in the Middle East which, if all goes well, will be loaded to the brim with additional Countries signing on, and will unify the Middle East for the first time in ‘The Ages!’”

Trump’s post came after he earlier in the day pressed that he should have received the Nobel Peace Prize “four or five times” in comments to waiting reporters on the tarmac. He had just landed in Morristown, New Jersey.  (No doubt on his way to some golf course)

“If you look, the Congo, or you could say Serbia, Kosovo, you could say a lot of them,” Trump said about his prize-worthy accomplishments

Seriously?

After the weekend of placing the US in a deadly crosshair and you think this idiot needs a prize….especially one called ‘peace prize’?

This is a joke and an ass kissing by Pakistan.

If he wins the prize then it will be as worthless as Donny and his supporters.

Captain Clueless And The World Of Tomorrow

It is done!

The US jumped into the Iran/Israel mash-up and by all accounts (I do not believe half of what they sat because they are constantly lying to the people) it was a success on hitting the Nuke facilities…..now we wait for the retaliation.

When and if it comes what will it look like?

Things could get messy fast.

Now the waiting game begins. How will Iran respond to attacks on three of its sites, including Fordo, seen as the crown jewel of its nuclear programme?

Trump appears to be hoping the US strikes force Iran to make greater concessions at the negotiating table, but it seems unlikely that a nation unwilling to talk while under Israeli attack will be more inclined when American bombs are also falling.

And while Trump seemed to be implying that the US attack was a singular, successful event, if that’s not the case, then the pressure to strike again will grow – or the president will have taken a serious political risk for minimal military gain.

At first I think it will be cyberattacks…..

In the wake of President Donald Trump’s “massive precision strikes” on Iran, concerns have been raised both for Americans in the region and at home.

A principal area of worry is cyberattacks by Iranian state actors, including targeting the banking system or energy grid.

A recent Department of Homeland Security bulletin warned: “Iranian government-affiliated cyber actors will probably prioritize retaliatory attacks against Israeli targets in the short term but may target U.S. networks due to their perception of U.S. support for Israeli strikes.”

The bulletin urged domestic critical infrastructure entities to “immediately” assess and shore up their security. Such attacks have already infiltrated U.S. water and wastewater systems, according to the non-profit think tank Center for Internet Security, which briefed law enforcement on Friday.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/after-trump-attacks-iran-experts-officials-fear-american/story

The possibility of retaliation against our troops could be in the early stages of planning….

Iranian forces themselves have previously targeted American interests, hitting U.S. bases in the Middle East, for instance, after top Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani was killed in an American airstrike in Iraq in 2020.

And in the summer of last year, the Justice Department also separately charged a Pakistani man with ties to the Iranian government for allegedly seeking to carry out political assassinations. Authorities told ABC News that among Asif Merchant’s targets were Trump and other current and former U.S. officials.

Then think about the Strait of Hormuz…..

Iranian media reported on Sunday that Iran’s parliament has voted to close the Strait of Hormuz in response to the US bombing of three Iranian nuclear facilities, a step that could significantly impact the global oil markets and economy.

Esmaeil Kowsari, a senior Iranian lawmaker, said it was now up to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council whether to go through with closing the waterway. “The parliament has come to the conclusion that it should close the Hormuz Strait, but the final decision lies with the Supreme National Security Council,” he said.

Roughly 18 million barrels of crude oil — about 20% of the world’s consumption — move through the Strait of Hormuz each day, making it a vital choke point for global energy trade. According to Newsweek, some experts suggest that closing the strait could raise oil prices by 30% to 50%, potentially leading to a $5 increase in gasoline prices per gallon.

(antiwar.com)

This action would be my first guess if Iran retaliates.

Finally the scary part of this whole thing….

Medvedev responded to the US strike in social media posts, including on his English-language channels, on June 22 by claiming that US President Donald Trump has started a new war.[7] Medvedev also claimed that the United States failed to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities, that Iran will continue to work towards the production of nuclear weapons, and that several unspecified countries are ready to “directly supply” Iran with nuclear warheads. The Kremlin typically leverages Medvedev to amplify narratives intended to stoke panic and fear among Western decision makers, particularly through nuclear saber rattling.[8] Medvedev’s veiled threats thus do not represent a significant rhetorical inflection. CTP-ISW continues to assess that Russia is constrained in its ability to provide direct support to Iran due to its war in Ukraine and has likely resigned itself to providing diplomatic overtures for the time being, showcasing the immediate limitations in the Russo-Iranian strategic relationship.

Of course this could very well be vague chest thumping but one that needs to be watched closely.

Just a couple of scenarios but the situation seems to be fluid right now so anything could happen at any time.

Last Week At The Sh*t Show–22Jun25

A weekly round-up of the silliness and lunacy that plagues our nation….

It appears the Donny is pissed off at the soldiers that participated in last weekends ego boost……

President Donald Trump raged at Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over Saturday’s military parade, arguing that the soldiers were “hamming it up,” biographer Michael Wolff has said.

Wolff appeared on The Daily Beast Podcast, saying that the president wanted a “menacing” show of force in honor of the Army’s 250th, and his 79th, birthday on June 14. Instead, Trump got a “festive” parade, said the author.

“He’s p***ed off at the soldiers,” he said. “He’s accusing them of hamming it up, and by that, he seems to mean that they were having a good time, that they were waving, that they were enjoying themselves and showing a convivial face rather than a military face.”

Social media users noted that the soldiers weren’t marching in lockstep during the parade as they made their way down Constitution Avenue in downtown Washington, D.C. Wolff claimed that Trump blamed Hegseth for the lacklustre performance.

“He kind of reamed out Hegseth for this,” Wolff said of the president. “Apparently, there was a phone call, and he said to Hegseth, the tone was all wrong. Why was the tone wrong? Who staged this? There was the tone problem. Trump, he keeps repeating himself.”

Donny got to sign his first trade deal and it was with the UK….or the EU….he was not sure….

“We just signed it, and it’s done, and so we have our trade agreement with the European Union, and it’s a fair deal for both,” Trump then said, mixing up the U.K. with the EU.

The White House first announced that the U.S. and U.K. had reached a trade agreement early last month.

The fact sheet for that deal included more than $700 million in ethanol exports and $250 million in other agricultural products. It also included a 10 percent tariff on the first 100,000 cars imported by the U.K. to the U.S. a year, and then a 25 percent tariff on any additional vehicles after that, as well as other details.

Asked if anything had changed in the deal since they spoke about it by phone this spring, the president said, “Not much.” The prime minister claimed the signed document would implement it.

(the Daily Beast)

BTW the deal was with the UK not the EU.

Donny has changed his tune on farmer workers  (for now)….

In remarks in person and on social media Thursday, President Trump suggested he would soon issue an order to give farm and hotel workers some protection from his immigration crackdown. “Our farmers are being hurt badly and we’re going to have to do something about that,” he said at a White House event, per Reuters. “We’re going to have an order on that pretty soon, I think.” USA Today reports that he plans to take a “common sense” approach. Farmers, he said, “have very good workers. They’ve worked for them for 20 years. They’re not citizens, but they’ve turned out to be, you know, great.”

  • “Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!”
  • The Washington Post, however, citing “three people with knowledge of the administration’s immigration policies,” reports that no plans are in place for such an order. The sources say White House aides including Steven Miller expressed concerns about Trump’s remarks. Border czar Tom Homan tells the Post that he hasn’t discussed any plan with the president to protect farm and hotel workers from deportation. “I have not seen any instruction, anything that changes in the near future,” he says.

Reuters reports that according to the departments of Labor and Agriculture, around half the nation’s 2 million farm workers lack legal status, along with many workers in industries like meatpacking. The Post’s sources say the administration previously directed ICE to avoid raiding farms but operations have taken place at several California farms this week, despite concerns that the nation’s food supply could be hit if undocumented workers are too afraid to show up at work.

Good to see that he has not lost his ability with waffling.

Donny’s sword point,ICE, detained a US Marshall, because he fit the profile.

A US marshal was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) agents in Arizona, after being mistakenly identified as a man that agents were looking for, according to a statement from the US Marshals Service.

The deputy marshal matched the “general description of a subject being sought by Ice” and was detained at a federal building in the Old Pueblo in Tucson.

Officials said the detention was brief and the deputy marshal was released after his identity was “quickly confirmed” by other law enforcement officers.

He fit the profile!

We all know of the Minnesota assassinations of lawmakers recently…..and then a MAGA Moron has this to say….

Sen. Mike Lee’s posts mocking the shootings of Minnesota legislators and their spouses and blaming the crime on the left failed to amuse everyone—including a Senate colleague who was friends with the state representative who was killed. “I have condemned what Mike Lee did here at home, and I will speak to him about this when I return,” Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar said on MSNBC, per the Hill. “And what I’m going to tell him is: This isn’t funny.”

On his personal X account, Lee had posted a photo of the suspect and another with a masked man in the doorway of a lawmaker’s home with the line, “This is what happens When Marxists don’t get their way.” Later on Sunday morning, he posted another photo of the suspect with the comment, “Nightmare on Waltz Street,” apparently trying to refer to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. The day before, Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, had been killed in their home, and state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, had been gravely wounded.

“Marxism is a deadly mental illness,” Lee wrote, pointing out that a flier for the anti-Trump protests last weekend was found in the suspect’s car. Other right-wing voices, including Elon Musk, made similar claims that the shooter was driven by leftist politics, per Axios. There’s no evidence of that: The suspect was appointed to two state boards by Democrats, but people who know him say he’s a supporter of President Trump and an opponent of abortion rights. He’s also reported to have had lists of Planned Parenthood locations and doctors, as well as names of Democratic lawmakers.

Marxists?  Is this 1950s?

This dumb ass would not know a Marxist if they bit him in the ass.

Goes to show just how damn stupid these a/holes have become.

From the Trump merchandising department…..

The Trump Organization is getting into the phone business, too. The company behind President Trump’s business enterprises on Monday unveiled Trump Mobile, which includes a smartphone and new cellular service expected to launch later this year, reports USA Today. The announcement coincides with the 10th anniversary of Trump announcing his first presidential campaign. The flagship plan, called “The 47 Plan,” offers unlimited talk, text, and data for $47.45 per month—a reference to Trump’s first and second terms as president.

The new company also plans to sell a $499 “T1” smartphone, made in the US, that runs on Android, per CNBC. Trump allies are touting it as a patriotic alternative to Apple and Samsung. The network itself won’t be building any new towers. Instead, it’s expected to piggyback on the big three—Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile—via something called an MVNO deal, which is industry-speak for renting bandwidth. Critics, however, already are raising conflict-of-interest questions about whether Trump, as president, might wield influence over federal telecom regulators, per the AP.

Oh goody more Trump crap clogging the market.

Finally, how would it fare if at your job you only worked about 75% of the time?

It’s no secret that Donald Trump spends much of his time playing golf. The way some people see it, he spends way more time on the golf course than he does being a President, especially because it costs taxpayer dollars to facilitate his trips to various clubs.

Since returning to office, Trump, who owns several golf clubs worldwide, has moved around plenty just so he could play.

A new study has determined exactly how much of his presidency is spent golfing, and it suggests that over a quarter of his time is devoted to the greens – so, technically, it’s not more.

“President Trump has spent 25.9% of his Presidency to date Golfing — at an estimated cost of $50.4 million to US taxpayers,” the study revealed, per ‘Pablo Torre Finds Out.’

Fascinating that Donny had this to say….

President Donald Trump on Thursday called for fewer federal holidays, saying the days off cost America billions of dollars in losses.

“Too many non-working holidays in America. It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed,” Trump said in a Truth Social post on Juneteenth, a newly designated federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt acknowledged during a Thursday briefing with reporters that it was a federal holiday and thanked reporters for showing up, but declined to answer whether Trump was doing anything to mark it.

“The workers don’t want it either!” Trump said of federal holidays in his post. “Soon we’ll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year. It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

(cnn.com)

So he wants workers to have less free time while he spends Time away that could be better spent making decisions that would benefit the country and not his country clubs.  (What a hypocritical bastard)

Why would anyone vote for this idiot?

That was the week that was at the Sh*t Show.

Stay tuned more to come.
