Obituary……

During World War Two in the Pacific against Japan…the US used “Code Talkers” to confound the enemy….these men were from the Navajo Nation and their exploits were made famous by the movie with that Cage guy……

Sad to report that one of the last of the “Code Talkers” has died…..

Samuel Tom Holiday, one of the last surviving Navajo Code Talkers, died in southern Utah on Monday surrounded by family members who raised money through a crowdfunding campaign to be by his side. He was 94. Holiday was among hundreds of Navajos who used a code based on their native language to transmit messages in World War II. The Japanese never broke it. He was 19 when he joined the Marine Corps and became a part of operations in several locations across the Pacific during the war, according to the Spectrum. A mortar explosion left him with hearing loss, but he would later tell family that he always felt safe during battle because of a pouch around his neck holding sacred stones and yellow corn pollen.

He received a Congressional Silver Medal, a Purple Heart, and other recognition for his action during the conflict. After the war, Holiday returned to the Navajo reservation and worked as a police officer, a ranger, and later started his own equipment company, the AP reports. He married Lupita Mae Isaac and had eight children. In 2013, Holiday co-wrote a book about his experience as a Code Talker called Under the Eagle. Fewer than 10 Code Talkers are believed to be alive today. The exact number is unknown because the program remained classified for several years following the war. Shortly before his death, family members turned to GoFundMe to raise $4,000 to be able to visit him in hospice care. The Navajo Nation says he was surrounded by friends and family when he died.

May he rest in peace……and thank you for your service to this country.

Proved To Be Political Cowards

The 2018 Mid-Terms are just around the corner and so it is time to focus on our elections….

I have been calling the Repubs cowards for some time now…..why?  Because they have abandoned all principles to get a few policies passed and to gut a few agencies that their donors do not want.

I will continue to call the GOP cowards as long as the principles they say they stand for are ignored.

Okay to be fair I have called the Dems cowards more times than I care to remember…..the Clinton revolution in the 1990’s destroyed the working class flavor of the party in favor of big money and corporate sponsorship.

But the Dems have out done themselves this time around………

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) adopted a new rule on Friday aimed at keeping outsider candidates like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) from trying to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020.

The new rule, adopted by the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee, requires all Democratic presidential candidates to be a member of the Democratic Party, Yahoo News reported.

A presidential candidate running for the Democratic nomination must be a member of the party, accept the Democratic nomination and “run and serve” as a member.

Bernie scared the crap out of the party and is still making them wring their hands…..The cowards in the party are so afraid of progressives that they will do whatever it takes to keep them from winning a national election.

Why do they fear the working class?

The young prefer a strong government to manage the economy in a more equitable manner….

The survey finds that most Millennials want “a strong government” to manage the economy, and that most millennial Democrats have a favorable view of socialism.

To protect the control of the party by corporations they will go to great lengths  to keep the power in the hands of Clinton-esque COWARDS…..like Perez, Schumer, et al……

And further BS from Dems to prove they are a pathetic group of cowards was their responses to the Kim-Trump Summit…..

If more proof was needed to persuade anyone that the Democrats are indeed a war party, it was provided when Senator Chuck Schumer and other Democrat leaders in the Senate engaged in a cynical stunt to stake out a position to the right of John Bolton on the summit between Trump and Kim Jong Un.

The Democrats asserted that the planned summit could only be judged successful if the North Koreans agreed to dismantle and remove all their nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons, end all production and enrichment of uranium, dismantle its nuclear weapons infrastructure, and suspend ballistic missile tests.

Dems continue to try the Centrist BS…..trying to play both sides of the aisle again that is what a coward will do….nothing has changed from the days of the creep Clinton as president.

This move is a guarantee that Trump will be re-elected in 2020……Dems will nominate a tool of corporate America to forsake the working class therefore the GOP will return to the White House.

Scholarly Spies

I have always liked history and I have always found the stories of spies in World War Two just fascinating…..most Americans have forgotten some interesting people that were among the first to spy on the Nazis in France after the invasion of 1940.

Early in June 1940, refugees from northern France and the low Countries who had flooded Paris in May fled with the residents of the city as the German advance neared. To save the City of Light from destruction, however, at the last moment Paris was declared an open city. The Germans marched in unopposed on June 15.

Five days later, in the distant village of Vicq-sur-Breuil, Agnès Humbert, an art historian and one of the millions of refugees on the road, happened to hear General Charles de Gaulle’s famous address to the French people from London. While hardly anyone knew who de Gaulle was, and while those who did called him a crackpot, Humbert was immediately jolted out of her despair over the fall of France. In her diary for the day she wrote, “I feel I have come back to life…. He has given me hope, and nothing in the world can extinguish that hope now.”

Then There Is Syria

No Irene the war in Syria has not ended…..BTW, how did ISIS get all that American weaponry that they have been using in the past?  Just wondering….

The US has NO plan in Syria other than fighting bad guys even Congress has asked for some sort of idea of what the plan is in Syria….

In a report accompanying the Senate’s must-pass annual defense authorization bill, lawmakers this week called out the Pentagon for “inconsistency” in its plan for Syria. US defense officials say that 2,000 US troops will stay there indefinitely, until the Islamic State (IS) is rooted out, despite President Donald Trump’s insistence that American forces leave the country “very soon.”

The Senate bill freezes $300 million requested for Syrian opposition fighters until the administration gives Congress an overdue and legally mandated outline of its plan for destroying the remnants of IS and stabilizing Syria. The bill also pegs $400 million for the anti-IS fight in next-door Iraq to a report on the “roles, missions and responsibilities of any future US military presence” in that country.

“The committee is deeply concerned by the lack of clarity and conflicting messages from administration officials related to the Middle East and, specifically, Syria,” according to the Senate Armed Services report. The report adds that the committee “believes that the activities of the US military in Syria are not adequately integrated into a broader strategy designed to stabilize Syria and address the factors that gave rise” to IS.

The problem is also that Russia has designs on Syria and that is where we should be most concerned…..

Partners in the Syrian war and arch sceptics of Washington, Russia and Iran have come together in recent years as both countries pursue a more hands-on role in the Middle East.

Yet doubts about Russia’s reliability are surfacing in Tehran, as a host of regional players begin to pick their way through tensions in southern Syria.

For weeks, there have been signs that Russia is trying limit Iran’s military activity in Syria.

On 17 May, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that with the Syrian army’s recent victories, foreign forces should withdraw from Syria. When asked for clarification, Putin’s envoy said that the president was referring to Turkish, American, Iranian and Hezbollah soldiers.

Russia is replacing the US as the indispensable player in the region….

The U.S. is no longer the indispensable nation in the Middle East — it’s Russia. Putin has more control in this powder keg than American experts like to admit.

Who told Israel to “cool it” after their F-16 jet was shot down by Syrian forces? Russia. Who told Iran to knock off its toxic anti-Israel rhetoric? Russia. Who told Israel to stop airstrikes in Syria? Russia. Who told Iran to “calm down” after they lost seven soldiers in the attack? Russia. Who did Netanyahu meet last week to get Iran in line? Russia. Russia has even vowed to protect Israel from an Iranian attack.

Russia is replacing the US in all areas and the US seems to be oblivious to the fact that we are losing our control of foreign policy….

Since the 1980’s the US has been trying to destroy Assad’s hold on Syria…..I found a CIA document that outlines what the US needs to do….

Yet, despite the fact that the Trump administration is apparently poised to continue the Obama regime’s proxy war of aggression against the people of Syria, an example of seamless transition, it should also be remembered that the plan to destroy Syria did not begin with Obama but with the Bush administration.

Even now, as the world awaits the continuation of the Syrian war through a Democratic and Republican administration, the genesis of that war goes back to the Republican Bush administration, demonstrating that there is indeed an overarching agenda and an overarching infrastructure of an oligarchical deep state intent on moving forward regardless of which party is seemingly in power.
