During the inaugural speech I watched the 1984 production of Orwell’s “1984” starring Richard Burton….I had forgotten how excellent the movie was since the last time I watched….
I read the book about a thousand years ago….but since the electronic explosion books seem to be read less and heard more…an audiobook…..so if you would like to listen to “1984” then this will help…..
But if you have never seen the 1984 version of “1984” and have about an hour and half then I suggest that you take the opportunity to do so…..
There is something all too familiar about all this……I just cannot put my finger on what it is exactly……

The mysterious element I believe you are searching for is called … “Unwarranted Paranoia.” It is the same as what affects people who wish to defend themselves against head-chopping terrorists by making themselves aware of who the terrorists are and why they are the way they are …. Some people tell me that the defensive posture in the face of terrorism threats is “Paranoia” and I think that is what is happening around the Trump Presidency.
I am not searching for anything for I already know what oligarchical collectivism is and means.

1984 is a seminal work of literature, and the film with John Hurt and Richard Burton is a wonderful adaptation. Another version was made previously, in 1956. Here’s a link to that one.
