Sorry sports fans but this whole conversation about the attack in Orlando has gone from a horrific act to a condemnation of a religion to the ban of all guns……

And as always happens with this type of violent act…..the diversions are numerous…..the media needs the speculation and the political arena needs the focus to go where it does not belong…..

Keep in mind that this site tends to voice a Libertarian point of view…..

The “Islamic homophobe” thesis bites the dust in less than 24 hours

Right from the start, the Orlando shooting made no sense to me and I said so pretty clearly in an article I posted the same day. You can read the full article here, so I will only mention my main conclusion: that this event had nothing to do with homosexuality, Islam or guns and that:

If this is not about homosexuality, Islam or guns, what is it about?

It is about making us believe that is is about homosexuality, Islam and guns, of course!

Less than 24 hours later, two of the key aspects of the official narrative (really, “spin”) are now already falling apart.

  2. First of all, the White House website (www.whitehouse.gov) does have a Petition section.

    Using today’s technology, your voice can be heard directly by the highest level of the government. And by the highest level, I am referring to the “The White House”.

    The White House has provided a section on their website to create Petitions (ref. http://1.usa.gov/1eAB6fX). It is relatively new and I am suggesting WE use it.

    There IS a requirement of 150 signatures prior to a petition becoming publicly searchable on the We the People section of the White House website.

    I have five petitions in mind that I intend to create:
    FREE Black Lives Matter organizer Jasmine Richards
    End Stand Your Ground Law in EVERY State
    Charge Donald Trump with Hate Crimes and/or Inciting Racial Hatred
    Revoke New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Executive Order to Help Protect Israel
    Charge New York Governor Andrew Cuomo with Hate Crimes and/or Inciting Racial Hatred

    Hopefully, I will be able to complete ALL today. And, my expectation, is for my Followers to sign/promote/endorse each if they are in agreement with the subject matter.

    NOTE: There may already be similar petitions … this will take a bit of time to investigate. If so, I will instead Tweet the applicable link(s). Stay tuned!

  3. Well, reading those links was almost as big a waste of time as listening to the mainstream media…and about as dis-informative…although to be fair, intentionally so. Then again, it’s all about filling space by obsessing on every detail of a surefire ratings grabbing story. Even talking about “the talking about” is considered “worth talking about” these days.

    But there are a few (near) universals in all these mass shootings.

    1) Generally overlooked in all the obsessive celebritization of the whack-jobs is that, first & foremost, these are suicides. Hardly ANY of them make it out alive. The only exception that immediately comes to mind is the nut who shot up the Colorado theatre. He was such a pathetic loser, he gave up when his gun jammed and went & sat in his car. The cops somehow missed him altogether.

    But just like with America’s global shoot-outs, there is almost never an “exit strategy”. The primary goal is suicide. The murder & mayhem is about “going out like a man”, one last attempt to get attention and/or reclaim your power. And if you’re Arab/Muslim, you can make all the stupid crackers shit their pants by claiming you’re down with ISIS…or OPP…or the Mickey Mouse Club. Gone, but never forgotten.

    2)They “don’t fit in”, or somehow failed to live up to expectations. And there’s usually a long list of ignored “clues” that they were losing their shit and/or prone to violence. Almost guaranteed.

    3) The shooter’s stated purpose often makes sense only to him, or people on the same trajectory. Nobody gunned down “too big to fail” bankers who clearly earned the privilege. They ruined the global economy, ruined millions of people’s lives and caused God knows how many suicides. Even if the shooter says otherwise, it’s always personal. They’re far more likely to target jocks & popular kids at school, people who they wish they could be, or people they think are holding them back.

    This Canuckistan nutter’s delusional suicide statement (found in link below) couldn’t have made it more obvious he was an underachieving outcast who couldn’t get laid to save his life & saw violence as an acceptable method of problem solving. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_L%C3%A9pine

    4) The overwhelming majority of mass shootings…involve guns! Without them, you’d be stuck with “mass spit-balling”, or “multiple throwing-star” attacks. No matter how hard all the gun freaks freak out about this, you can’t kill/wound 100 people with a knife or a baseball bat…not even if you’re a fucking ninja! The easier guns are to buy, the easier they are to use, and the more bullets they fire…the more motherfuckers are going down with bullet holes in them and the more often it’s going to happen. It’s kind of like how Climate Change increases the number and size of massive storms.

    5) Unless society is willing to fix its problems, we’ll be spending an ever increasing amount of time flapping our gums about them.

      1. Flapping our gums is about all our society seems capable of anymore. (Shit, it’s so bad that I can think of 4-5 TV shows whose entire premise is talking about another TV show!) Everyone just throws their arms up in the air like we were the French, or something.

        I hope you read the Marc Lépine suicide note. He’s Canuckistan’s all time mass shooting record holder (a piddling 6 dead USA! USA! USA!) When combined with a brief bio…his note could NOT make both the “real cause” & the “self-stated” cause MORE obvious. (Point#3)

        Interestingly, he even gave a “big-up” to another Montreal mass shooter who acted a few years earlier. Lépine obviously felt a kinship to him and was trying to get “street cred” by attaching himself to Lortie’s fame. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denis_Lortie While also batshit crazy, Lortie’s plan was probably the most coherent, realistic & effective plan in mass shooting history. Dude wanted to save Canada from separatism, so he walked into the legislature to kill every member of the separatist Party Quebecois. Unfortunately for him, some of the party leadership had taken the day off and he forgot to wear a watch. He arrived 20 minutes too early to achieve his goal and wound up killing only legislature staff.

        While feminists used Marc Lépine (and continue to) as political fuel, Canada didn’t engage in “This is not the time to discuss the issue” like America always does. Canada acted almost immediately with some (mildly) increased gun controls, which Herr Harper aimed to undo & partially accomplished. We haven’t had many (non-gang) mass shootings since. Not that the gun control measure was all that significant. I think it was more the clear message Canada sent that this was unacceptable behaviour. With all the inaction and media coverage US shooters get, America has actually done the opposite. It’s mass shootings reflect that.

        But usually, there is little, or no, mystery to any of these things. The amount of talk required to explain them is inversely proportionate to the amount of talk allocated. Less talk. More action.

      3. Because he did it in the Quebec legislature, there’s no shortage of video. Here’s how Canuckistan handles an act of what is clearly “terrorism” (the deliberate attempt to assassinate an entire government)….Yet somehow, I don’t think we freaked out that much about it in 84. All I think they did was seal the back door he used to gain entry. Shit, only Les Quebecois even remember it happened.

        By the way, Lortie has been out of jail for decades and, last I heard, is living a completely normal life and hasn’t shot anybody since.
