That Darn Rebel Flag!

I am sure that most literate people realize how offensive the confederate flag is………that it is a symbol of slavery and in today’s world…a symbol of racism.  Years ago when we were having a problem with idiots wanting to promote the flag and pissing the black community off at the same time…..my son-in-law and I were saying the best way to fight this symbol was for African-Americans to somehow make it “their” flag….to start wearing it for everything and everywhere…to just take over it altogether.

Well it seems that Kanye West heard our rumblings…….

(Newser) – Kanye West, never one to shy away from controversy, was spotted Saturday wearing a jacket decorated with … a Confederate flag, People reports. The rapper has also featured the flag on his Yeezus tour T-shirts and merch. He explained himself last week while talking to an LA radio station. “React how you want. Any energy is good energy,” he told 97.1 AMP. “You know the Confederate flag represented slavery in a way—that’s my abstract take on what I know about it. So I made the song ‘New Slaves.’ So I took the Confederate flag and made it my flag. It’s my flag. Now what are you going to do?”

I will seldom say too much pleasant about West….but in this I think he is on to something and others should follow suit….take away the symbol from the morons and turn it on them as quickly as possible……….

Let me say here…BRAVO, Kanye….I do believe you are on to something….now get the rest to jump on that…..this could be better than a 100 demonstrations…..KEEP IT GOING!

Would You Take Advice From This Man?

If you need a good chuckle to start your week….then this is the post for you.

Okay before I go any further….would you take football advice from a coach with a 0-10 record?  Then why would anyone, including Repubs listen to anything that Mitt would have to say?  A proven loser!

But with that said he just had to stick his $10,000 worth in the Obamacare debacle…..

Newser) – Mitt Romney knows a little something about health care reform, and he threw his two cents on the pile today, saying President Obama “failed to learn the lessons” of Massachusetts. Romney took issue with Obama’s “one-size-fits-all” approach, notes Politico, adding that reform should have been left to the states. But Obama’s biggest failing, contends Romney, came when “he told the American people that you could keep your health insurance if you wanted to keep that plan, period,” which was “a fundamental dishonesty.” “The fact that the president sold it on a basis that was not true has undermined the foundation of his second term. I think it’s rotting it away. We’ve got to have a president that can lead, and right now he’s not able to do so.” Elsewhere on your Sunday dial:

  • Romney on Chris Christie: “Chris could easily become our nominee and save our party and help get this nation on the right track again. They don’t come better than Chris Christie. He’s a very popular governor in a very blue state. That’s the kind of popularity and the kind of track record the Republican Party needs if we’re going to take back the White House.”
  • Newt Gingrich on why Romney didn’t pick Christie for veep: “Romney would have shrunk, and Christie would have blossomed.”
  • Gingrich on why Obama didn’t put Hillary Clinton on his 2012 ticket: “If you had said to him, ‘You have to be re-elected but Bill Clinton is going to be next to you for four years,’ he would have said, ‘It ain’t worth it. I don’t need this level of pain.'”
  • Dianne Feinstein on LAX shooting: “The weapon was a .223 MP-15, where the MP stands for military and police, clearly designed not for general consumption. Same gun that was used at Aurora. Would I do a bill? Sure, I would do a bill. I mean, I believe this down deep in my soul.”
  • Mike Rogers on why HealthCare.gov should be shut down temporarily: “They’re trying to change a tire on a car going 75 miles an hour down the expressway. That’s not the way cybersecurity works.”

I threw in a little lagniappe of the Sunday talking heads…..most it was disgusting…but in case you were living your life and not paying attention to the douche bags with the biggest mouths…..

Meanwhile back to Mitt….”Mitt knows a little something about health care……” personal opinion….very little…..beyond that…who cares what he thinks any more….he lost…..now go away!

Notice anything similar?

Are Americans Really That Ignorant?

NSA…oh my God!  We have more of their dastardly deeds!  Does anyone know how intelligence works?  Hint:  look up the word “covert” it may help.

For at least 40 years the government has been spying on its citizens……if confused then go to wiki and look up COINTELPRO……a program that I am well acquainted…….and as far as spying on international targets, friend and foe, again at least 70 years it has been an tradition.  Our “good” friend Israel is always losing spies in the US and yet NO one has a comment about them spying on us…..why?

Snowden let lose the dogs of fear when he divulged that the NSA was spying on us “normal” people and the peasants were aghast…..ignorance…..it seems it was okay as long as it was not them personally…..another load of crap…if it is wrong for one it is wrong for all.

Now the newest revelation is the the NSA was spying on our allies like France, Germany, etc…..those bastards!  The problem is that is nothing new!  And the other part of the story is…the prez did not know about it……now here is where the douche bags have ground to chirp…how could something like that be done without the prez knowledge……(pause here of some serious thought)…….it can and it is a technique to protect the prez from prying eyes….it is called “plausible deniability”  …………and that my friends has been going on for a century or more……

The Kerry made this ludicrous statement…….

(Newser) – The Guardian is calling it “the most stark comments yet by a senior administration official.” John Kerry yesterday addressed US surveillance, and here are two stand-out quotes:

  • “The president and I have learned of some things that have been happening in many ways on an automatic pilot, because the technology is there and the ability is there.”
  • “In some cases, some of these actions have reached too far and we are going to try to make sure it doesn’t happen in the future.”

The BBC reports that he said a promised review of practices would be “thorough” and end some unspecified activities. But he also issued words of defense: “I assure you, innocent people are not being abused in this process … We have prevented airplanes from going down and buildings from being blown up because we have learned ahead of time of such plans.” Meanwhile, a German MP met yesterday with Edward Snowden, who said he’d be willing to dig into the country’s allegations against the US, and would even travel to Germany to testify.

Dumbest statements YET!

So my friends….pull your head out of the sand……NONE of this is a exceptional case……it is more routine than you can imagine…..

After all it is called the “shadow Service” for good reason……..if you want effective intel gathering then learn to live with this……you have been living with it for decades….you just did not know about it.
