With the shooting of Dem Rep. Giffords more and more idiots come out of the wood work……now here is a really good idea….(sarcasm, if case you were confused)……
Instead of taking guns out of American hands, some frightened politicians will start packing heat themselves for protection. “After the elections, I let my guard down,” NC Democratic Rep. Heath Shule told Politico. “Now I know I need” to have my gun “on me. We’re going to need to do a much better job of with security at these events.
Members of Congress can be appointed special deputy marshals if the US Marshals Service determines they’re in danger, reports the New York Daily News. They can then carry a concealed handgun anywhere, including into the Capitol. Sen. Orrin Hatch was granted deputy status after receiving death threats in the ’90s.
Really? A good idea! Put hundreds of people in the middle of the gunfight at the OK Corral…..BRILLIANT!
And then there is the Church that hatred built…..the religious zealots that spend their time protesting at funerals of fallen soldiers with signs saying God kill the person because of the government’s support of gay rights…..mental midgets!

There comes a time when people need to remove their heads from their butts….and use a little common sense …..I know it can be difficult to remove one’s head but it can be done if one truly wants to…….two cases that illustrate the sheer lunacy of the American people…like I said “more moron than human”!
Yes, well, religious zealots are always the worst – not least because they can totally suspend reality with “you have to have faith” – yeah, right! Or you have to be stupid!
As to the obvious implication that they think that politicians are somehow more sensible and reliable than the average lunatic, it defies comment – since WHEN?
These zealots protest at soldier’s funerals……not very Christian but then Christianity is not very Christian……

And there is sure more to come as more idiots express thier opinons on this issue….as for the zealots…why does god accept collateral damage of kids, but ignores the blasphemis muslims? I’ll second all of that! Come to that, if God exists and is so damned angry, why are ANY OF US alive? If it was me, I’d put it down to experience, call man a not very successful trial run and scrub humanity pending a major redesign, wouldn’t you?
Then again, God is love, God is endlessly forgiving… but God is vengeful and angry and… oh, crap, forget it!
Personally, I think there is a God…..but he is NOT listening…..when he created this he gave us a brain and then said “you are on your own”……
I have a different view, as you know, but I respect yours and others. However, whatever one believes about the existence or otherwise of a deity, we are I think agreed that NONE of the organised religions has a single clue about who or what he/she/it my be and, if you’re right and we’re on our own for whatever reason, could we perhaps find a way to stop these whackos telling us what THEY think WE should think?
I am afraid NOT…most people want someone to take their responsibility away and God is the perfect vehicle…..
