Abortion—Bad!

From the VOMITORIUM

For six months or more the GOP was on a rile against the Dems focusing on Health care while millions were unemployed….and to show their disgust the election battle plan was to focus the rhetoric on the lack of job creation…….it was a great campaign plan….it worked and the GOP won an overwhelming majority in the House……..now we can get back to work as a country, right?

Well, the mental midgets that elected this huge majority can be happy now……you were promised that the GOP would focus on job creation……and instead for the first month or so of their new administration and what have they focused on…..HEALTH CARE!  Sound familiar?

They succeeded in the House on calling for the repeal of the health care act, but it will go NO where in the Senate……they had their first success as the new majority and their next big push will be jobs right?  Well, not exactly……according to Newser.com….

House Republicans unveiled their next major legislative push yesterday: the No Tax-Payer Funding for Abortion Act, which, as its name implies, would ban federal funding of abortion. It would essentially make permanent the Hyde Amendment, which does the same thing but must be renewed each year. They introduced that legislation alongside the Protect Act, which would specifically ban abortion funding under the health care reform law. Independent fact checkers have said that the health care reform law won’t allow for abortion funding, Politico points out, but Republicans insist that the wording is too vague. Abortion legislation has a habit of dying in committee, but this time it’s getting a major push from leadership. John Boehner designated it HR3 “which speaks volumes about priorities,” says the bill’s main sponsor, Chris Smith. “This leadership … believes in this. This is not about political expediency.”

Are you so called independents happy with the vote that you flushed down the toilet?  So far jobs seem to be the furtherest thing from the minds of the GOP…..tell me when would those jobs issue come up?  Apparently putting Americans back to work is NOT as important as you were lead to believe….ya think!

More Revisionist History

College of Political Knowledge

Subject:  History

We here in the US know all too well the diatribes by Glenn Beck….his continuing disrespect of the president, his far fetched comparisons, his chalk board and his weeping…(is there a Weepers Anonymous?  If  so, I have at least two candidates for the program)….to me he is a scary individual….but recently he became more scary….he proposes writing a history book to set all the misinformation straight…….here are a few of his “historical” facts…..

6,000 BC: God creates entire planet just for America.

27 BC: Caesar Augustus becomes first person to employ the Obama Doctrine.

1 AD: First Founding Father born.

c.1790: America achieves racial harmony.

1912: President Woodrow Wilson single-handedly proposes, passes, and ratifies 17th Amendment.

August 2, 1923 – October 28, 1929: American economy completely healthy.April 12, 1945: America catches a lucky break with death of President Roosevelt.

1968: Four British social activists release two-part treatise on progressive plot to overthrow society, commonly known as The White Album.

Just a bit of the revisionism that Beck wants to bring to the people and probably will become a best selling author, again, and the mental deficits will believe his slant on history……there is so much more go to site and see where he is going with his “history” lesson………mediamatters.org/blog/201010190…..

The sad part is that there are people today who will buy into his brand of revisionism and will most likely gain more converts if this book is actually written……

A Revisionist View Of History

Since I am old….I can remember back in the days of the old USSR and their views on history……they were called “revisionists” because their views were NOT completely accurate or truthful…..and we know how bad those dang commies were and how they wanted to change the world….right?

Well, it seems that those bad guys from yester-year are not the only ones that want a “revisionists” form of history……this from the Newser website………

Tennessee Tea Party activists met with lawmakers yesterday to demand the state make a number of changes—including “educating students the truth about America.” What does that grammatically suspect phrase mean? It means that they want textbooks to stop criticizing the founding fathers for their treatment of Native Americans and slaves. “No portrayal of minority experience which actually occurred shall obscure the experience or contributions of the Founding Fathers,” the activists wrote in material distributed to the Commercial Appeal. There’s been “an awful lot of made-up criticism about, for instance, the founders intruding on the Indians or having slaves or being hypocrites in one way or another,” the group’s spokesman said in a news conference, and the group thinks texts should focus on the positive strides the founders made. “It was their progress that we need to look at.” The group is also asking the state to “reject” the federal health care law, and allow the people to elect either the state attorney general or an independent “chief litigator.”

It appears that Teabaggers want to use a tried a true version of history……we rational people call it…..LIES!  And if one looks carefully at most political history textbooks the founding fathers are depicted as capable of walking on water and in at least one case….walking on water and turning bread into fishes…..most of the textbooks already give a revisionist view of the founders and now the Teabaggers want to make it even more so……if they lie along enough then the real history will be lost….they want to turn these men into some sort of god that cannot be questioned…that type of thinking and desire is for FOOLS!
