What The Hell Does MAGA Really Mean?

Still searching for why.

WE all know what the acronym stands for, Make America Great Again, that is just a bunch of letters thrown together to sell a con on the voter….but what do those idiots really see when they see the MAGA?

MAGA is also closely related among Republicans with an “America First” policy. This is partly about having a strong military – a common theme among Republican respondents – and “making America the superpower” again, one respondent wrote.

Republicans also wrote that putting America first means emphasizing strict enforcement of immigration laws against “illegals” and cutting off foreign aid. For example, one Republican respondent said that MAGA meant “stopping illegals at the border, ending freebies for illegals, adding more police and building a strong military.”

Finally, Republicans see the slogan as calling for a return to “traditional” values. They expressed a strong desire to reverse cultural shifts that Republican respondents perceive as a threat.

As one Republican put it, MAGA “means going back to where men would join the military, women were home raising healthy minded children and it was easy to be successful, the crime rate was extremely low and it used to be safe for kids to hang out on the streets with other kids and even walk themselves places.”

In other words step back into the 1950s….

What about Democrats?

Democrats have a very different understanding of the MAGA slogan. Many Democrats view MAGA as a white supremacist movement designed to protect the status of white people and undermine the civil rights of marginalized groups.

One Democrat argued that “‘Make America Great Again’ is a standard borne by people who’ve seen a decrease in the potency of their privilege (see: cisgendered white men) and wish to see their privilege restored or strengthened. In essence, it’s a chant for all racist, fascist and otherwise bigoted actors to unite under.”

Another Democrat wrote that MAGA was a call to “take us backwards as a society in regards to women’s, minority’s, and LGBTQ people’s rights … It would take us to a time when only White men ruled.”

Democrats also view MAGA as a form of nostalgia for a heavily mythologized past. Many Democratic respondents described the past longed for by Republicans as a “myth” or “fairytale.” Others argued that this mythologized past, though appealing on the surface, was repressive for many Americans.

A Joke: Knock Knock

Who’s there?

Donny with a peace prize.

Just recently Pakistan has nominated Donny for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize….why is that?

he government of Pakistan on Friday recommended President Donald Trump for a 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for his role in de-escalating a brief conflict between India and Pakistan earlier this year.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration intervened to stop a conflict between Islamabad in New Delhi in its early stages after a terrorist attack in the Kashmir region led India to attack its Islamic neighbor.

“The Government of Pakistan has decided to formally recommend President Donald J. Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership during the recent India-Pakistan crisis,” the government stated.

“At a moment of heightened regional turbulence, President Trump demonstrated great strategic foresight and stellar statesmanship through robust diplomatic engagement with both Islamabad and New Delhi which de-escalated a rapidly deteriorating situation, ultimately securing a ceasefire and averting a broader conflict between the two nuclear states that would have had catastrophic consequences for millions of people in the region and beyond,” it went on. “This intervention stands as a testament to his role as a genuine peacemaker and his commitment to conflict resolution through dialogue.”

(justthenews.com)

“A genuine peacemaker”?  Seriously?

India did not see Donny’s role in the ceasefire….

Government officials from India have disputed Trump’s characterization of his role in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. According to a readout from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office, “Prime Minister Modi clearly conveyed to President Trump that at no point during this entire sequence of events was there any discussion, at any level, on an India-U.S. Trade Deal, or any proposal for a mediation by the U.S. between India and Pakistan. The discussion to cease military action took place directly between India and Pakistan through the existing channels of communication between the two armed forces, and it was initiated at Pakistan’s request.”

(mediaite.com)

Then of course Donny could not accept the nomination without trying to toot his own horn….and failed….

“I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for stopping the War between India and Pakistan, I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for stopping the War between Serbia and Kosovo, I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for keeping Peace between Egypt and Ethiopia (A massive Ethiopian built dam, stupidly financed by the United States of America, substantially reduces the water flowing into The Nile River),” Trump wrote on Friday. “And I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for doing the Abraham Accords in the Middle East which, if all goes well, will be loaded to the brim with additional Countries signing on, and will unify the Middle East for the first time in ‘The Ages!’”

Trump’s post came after he earlier in the day pressed that he should have received the Nobel Peace Prize “four or five times” in comments to waiting reporters on the tarmac. He had just landed in Morristown, New Jersey.  (No doubt on his way to some golf course)

“If you look, the Congo, or you could say Serbia, Kosovo, you could say a lot of them,” Trump said about his prize-worthy accomplishments

Seriously?

After the weekend of placing the US in a deadly crosshair and you think this idiot needs a prize….especially one called ‘peace prize’?

This is a joke and an ass kissing by Pakistan.

If he wins the prize then it will be as worthless as Donny and his supporters.

The ‘Ultimate Ultimatum’

The Middle East is busting with conflict and of course our clueless leader had to bring the US into it full bore…..

First he demands that Iran unconditionally surrender…..

President Trump ramped up his rhetoric against Iran in significant fashion on Tuesday, with a demand for the nation’s “unconditional surrender” as its conflict with Israel unfolds, reports the Wall Street Journal. Trump issued the all-caps demand on Truth Social.

The comments came after Trump left the G7 summit in Canada a day early on Monday to deal with the Israel-Iran conflict, though he made clear he didn’t just want a ceasefire but a “real end” to the war. He didn’t elaborate on what that meant. One option is to more directly join Israel’s military attack with bunker-busting weaponry; another is to push for new talks aimed at getting Iran to abandon its nuclear program, though Trump expressed frustration with Tehran’s unwillingness to do so in earlier negotiations. “They should have done the deal,” he told reporters. In the view of the AP, Trump “appears to be gradually building the public case for a more direct American role in the conflict.”

As usual Donny would not elaborate….he likes leaving things open ended so not matter the outcome he can claim victory.

After that demand he went and gave what he calls the ‘ultimate ultimatum’….

When asked if he gave Iran an ultimatum, Trump said he gave it the “ultimate ultimatum,” but he didn’t elaborate, reports ABC News. Trump added, per USA Today: “The next week is going to be very big, maybe less than a week.”

There you go….he left it undefined and open ended so he can claim victory no matter the outcome.

He is playing the media and the people of this country and he is full bore on propaganda to get the Congress and the population on his side when he throws the US military to the wolves of war.

Despite Donald Trump’s election night promise not to “start wars” and instead to “stop wars,” the United States is already fighting Iraq War 2.0 by defending Israel militarily, by arming Israel, by sharing intelligence with Israel, and by failing to stop Israel despite having advance notice of the war. President Trump called Israel’s attacks “excellent” last week and more recently said the U.S. military “could get involved.” Referring to Iran, Trump told ABC News, “There’s more to come, a lot more.”

If I am not mistaken he is starting this war in defense of Israel.

All this got my memory flying back to my 20s….

As I watch the conflict unfold I think back to the 1960s and a song that pretty much sums up my feelings about this stupidity in the Middle East….

We are moving ever closer, yet again, to all out war that could be the end to end all ends.

Don’t Pee On His Parade

Saturday is a day set aside to honor our national symbol, the flag…..and our clueless leader has decided to cheapen the day by staging a massive ego trip dedicated to him.

The Army’s latest estimate for its major parade to celebrate its 250th anniversary – which falls on President Donald Trump’s birthday – totals $40 million, including the cost of repairing streets in Washington, DC expected to be gnawed by tank treads.  (and yet nothing for hurricane ravaged North Carolina)

There is also protests planned around this silly ego trip  Trump administration is escalating tensions,” the coalition wrote. “Against the guidance of local leaders, they are deploying military force to suppress free speech. They do not care about our safety—it’s about silencing opposition. It’s a blatant abuse of power designed to intimidate families, stoke fear, and crush dissent.”  and of course Herr Donny has words for the would be protesters.

The protesters in Los Angeles aren’t the only ones on President Trump’s mind. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, the president warned demonstrators to keep away from the military parade he ordered in DC this weekend.

  • “For those people that want to protest, they’re going to be met with very big force,” Trump said in the Oval Office, per the Washington Post. “This is people that hate our country, but they will be met with very heavy force.”

He has become even more power hungry since he got a chance to flex his authoritarian muscle in LA.

With LA smouldering and the promise of more protests at his silly ego trip on Saturday Donny has reached back into our history like he did with the Aliens Act but this time it is the Insurrection Act.

President Trump still has a big, and controversial, card he could play in regard to the Los Angeles protests: invoking the Insurrection Act. “If there’s an insurrection, I would certainly invoke it,” he told reporters on Tuesday, reports Reuters. “We’ll see.” Coverage:

  • The 1807 act “is among the most extreme emergency powers available to a sitting president,” explains Axios. It allows a president to summon US troops to put down domestic unrest.
  • Yes, Trump already has ordered Marines and the National Guard to Los Angeles under a separate legal authority, but their duties are legally limited to protecting federal property and personnel, per Politico. If Trump invokes the act, they could directly intervene against protesters. Critics including Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal view what Trump has done as a “backdoor” way of invoking the act.
  • Trump has been using language that appears to be laying the groundwork for invoking the act, notes the New York Times. On Monday, for example, he described protesters as “insurrectionists” and “professional agitators.” However, at another point on Monday, he said, “I wouldn’t quite call it an insurrection, but it could have led to an insurrection,” per CNN.
  • The CNN piece notes that top Trump aide Stephen Miller has been using the term regularly to describe the protests. An insurrection “is generally defined as a violent revolt or rebellion against the government,” writes Aaron Blake. It “isn’t about the level of violence; it’s about the target and purpose of it.” When asked to define it, Trump himself said: “You actually really just have to look at the site to see what’s happening.”
  • The last time the act was used was in 1992 in the aftermath of the Rodney King beating in Los Angeles, notes ABC News. “Some legal experts have warned the law is overly broad and vague,” writes Alexandra Hutzler, “and there have been various calls for it to be reformed to provide greater checks on presidential power.”

For those people that spin their time whining about others and hiding in their closet a definition of the ACT will be needed….

The Insurrection Act authorizes the president to deploy military forces inside the United States to suppress rebellion or domestic violence or to enforce the law in certain situations. The statute implements Congress’s authority under the Constitution to “provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.” It is the primary exception to the Posse Comitatus Act, under which federal military forces are generally barred from participating in civilian law enforcement activities.

Although it is often referred to as the “Insurrection Act of 1807,” the law is actually an amalgamation of different statutes enacted by Congress between 1792 and 1871. Today, these provisions occupy Sections 251 through 255 in Title 10 of the United States Code.

https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/insurrection-act-explained

“This shows the Trump administration is ready to do whatever it takes—including deploying military forces—to target and punish those who speak out in defense of human rights,” said Paul O’Brien, executive director of Amnesty International USA. “This is not about protecting communities, this is about crushing dissent and instilling fear.”

The pimple of the presidency is coming to a head….how will this play out?

Attack Of The Clones

WTF?

Okay, I admit it I am not very impressed with this new prez so far in his tenure….but I do find plenty of humor in his constant BS on social media….his newest stupidity has something to do with clones.

President Donald Trump boosted a mind-bending social media conspiracy that his predecessor, Joe Biden, was executed in 2020 and replaced with clones.

“There is no #JoeBiden – executed in 2020,” a Truth Social post shared by Trump on Saturday night reads.

“#Biden clones doubles & robotic engineered soulless mindless entities are what you see. Democrats don’t know the difference.”

The obscure account boosted by the president posts daily on right-wing topics and obsesses over the “Lord & Savior” – Trump.

The Republican has been making increasingly wild claims about Biden, who recently revealed he had been diagnosed with an aggressive and advanced form of prostate cancer.

While refusing to offer any sympathy for the 82-year-old, Trump has instead used the diagnosis to suggesting that shadowy figures had been exploiting the presidency during the Democrat’s term.

His allies have also feverishly speculating about the timing of Biden’s announcement and made claims about a potential cover-up of the condition.

(tag24.com)

Was this suppose to be funny?  Was this a real belief from Little Donny?  Or could this be something deeper?

The more he opens his mouth or posts on social media the more I am starting to think that those that say he is losing his mind may be on to something….and this is not a new thing for Donny….but it does seem to be getting to the point of being troubling.

These are just a few of the recent remarks made by one of two major candidates for president of the United States. Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, has spent years saying the unsayable to entertain, goad and grab attention. But his pronouncements over the past few weeks have plumbed new depths of absurdity and incoherence.

Trump, 78, increasingly slurs or stumbles over his words, raising fears over cognitive decline. He is slipping in polls against Kamala Harris and knows that defeat could lead to criminal trials and even prison. After a decade of dominating American politics, critics say, Trump could be in the throes of a final meltdown.

His verbal output now is “absolute batshittery”, according to Tara Setmayer, a former Republican communications director on Capitol Hill. “These are not the musings of a well-adjusted adult. He demonstrates daily how unfit he is to have the most powerful position in the world.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/oct/06/trump-behavior-final-meltdown

But seriously folks….CLONES!

At what point does the nation start question the mental stability of this person?

I have seen nothing that indicates that this was a one off thing and with the progression of his vicious BS things are only going to get worse.

For The ‘Scum’

Yesterday was Memorial Day and as usual Donny had lots to say……on the day we are suppose to remember our fallen heroes Donny went off the rails about Biden and other stuff that had little to do with our dead.

“Happy Memorial Day!” President Trump wrote on Monday morning. A bit later came the fiery elaboration, reports USA Today: “Happy Memorial Day to all, including the scum that spent the last four years trying to destroy our country through warped radical left minds,” Trump wrote in an all-caps post. He also blasted former President Biden as “incompetent” because of his border policies, which he says continue to be helped by “USA hating judges that is sick, and very dangerous for our country.”

Providing some context to the criticism, the Hill notes that a federal judge on Friday demanded that the White House facilitate the return of a third deported man—after complaining that the deportation “lacked any semblance of due process.” In his Memorial Day post, Trump described such judges as “monsters who want our country to go to hell.” He ended by promising that “America will soon be safe and great again!” Trump will speak later Monday at Arlington.

I worry that Memorial Day is personal to a smaller and smaller number of Americans. As a national community, Americans may no longer have the ability to collectively remember and honor shared sacrifice, because the sacrifice is not shared. The all-volunteer force created a military that is self-selecting. The wars of 9/11 created many veterans who are self-regarding and condescending to those who haven’t served in the military. A 2020 National Opinion Research Center survey found that a full 60 percent of post-9/11 veterans “agreed” or “strongly agreed” that the eligible Americans who did not volunteer to serve during wartime should feel guilty, compared to just 43 percent of older veterans and 22 percent of civilians. That is dangerous for the country.

At times, it is as though Americans compete to see who can be the most bombastically patriotic in remembering their war dead. Remembrance should be a solemn acknowledgment of the tragedy of war and the nobility in serving one’s country in its armed forces.

The day is not the time to air some idiotic political bullshit….but that never stopped the moron in the WH.

More On That Possible Third Term

I covered this possibility recently and there were some facts in there that everyone should consider….for those that cannot remember back far I am here to help…..(and that is why I keep up my archives….so I can bne checked)….

What About That Third Term?

Please read this post first before moving on to my newest one…..

I know there is a Constitutional thing that states only two terms…..but that will not stop Donny if his ego wants more and more…..but how could this thing happen?

To clarify….what does the Constitution say about this third term?

The Constitution says that a president cannot serve more than two terms – an amendment that was added after Democratic President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected four times.

It is explicit….so how can Donny move the needle in his favor?

Democratic critics have used Trump’s third term chatter to say that he is trying to defy the Constitution.

However, some MAGA allies of the president have suggested at least one way around that.

One plan would involve Trump becoming JD Vance’s running mate and then, after a successful 2028 election, Vance resigning and Trump taking over.

(dailymail.co.uk)

Did not Putin try this in one form?

There has been some precedents for his desire and most are from Latin America…..

United States President Donald Trump has repeatedly floated the idea of remaining in office after his second term ends in 2029. Since the 22nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution was ratified in 1951, no U.S. president has challenged the two-term limit it established.

However, attempts to circumvent constitutional term limits are not unprecedented elsewhere.

Virtually every country in Latin America has enshrined constitutional term limits as a safeguard against tyranny. These rules vary: some allow only a single term, some permit two, while others enable non-consecutive re-election. Yet several presidents have managed to defy these provisions.

Recent examples include Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua, Hugo Chávez in Venezuela, Evo Morales in Bolivia, Rafael Correa in Ecuador and Nayib Bukele in El Salvador.

Although the institutional norms and political cultures of these countries differ from those of the U.S., examining how term limits have been dismantled offers valuable insights into how any similar efforts by Trump might unfold.

https://theconversation.com/how-donald-trump-could-remain-president-of-the-united-states-255589

It is possible that this country can survive these four years but any longer and I have my doubts.

The Constitution should be the ultimate law of the land as it has been for all our years…..all this circumvention is just making the nation weaker and open to some massive exploitation.

The Trump/Putin Gab Fest

While Donny was in the Middle East signing deals that would make some lots of cash and accepting delivery of his new ‘flying palace’ he made a statement on the Russia-Ukraine War….

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly vowed to bring the war to an end, but said earlier this week that no progress would be made in the peace talks until he personally met with Putin. Following the negotiations on Friday, Trump said his administration was working to set up just such a meeting.

“I think it’s time for us to just do it,” he told reporters, later adding, “[Putin] and I will meet, and I think we’ll solve it or maybe not. At least we’ll know. And if we don’t solve it, it’ll be very interesting.”

That meeting was top be in Turkey but he had to hurriedly rush back home to meet his new grand kid, number 11 I believe.

So the meeting is off.

Then on Sunday we hear it will be a phone call not a face to face….

Monday has the potential to be a big day with regard to the Russia-Ukraine war: President Trump speaks with Vladimir Putin by phone on Monday morning, followed by a call later to Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky. “Hopefully it will be a productive day, a ceasefire will take place, and this very violent war, a war that should have never happened, will end,” Trump wrote on Truth Social over the weekend, per the New York Times.

“Tomorrow, President Putin must show he wants peace by accepting the 30-day unconditional ceasefire proposed by President Trump and backed by Ukraine and Europe,” French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted afterward. The Kremlin is paying deference to Trump—”if the political services of the US—which we highly value and are grateful to the American side—if they actually help us reach our goals with peaceful means, that would indeed be preferable” to war, said spokesman Dmitri Peskov on Monday.

Then the phone call happened…..and guess what the result was….

Monday held great promise for progress in ending the Russia-Ukraine war. The gist of coverage on Tuesday is that there is no resolution in sight after President Trump spoke with Vladimir Putin, and also with Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders.

  • Trump suggested progress: “Russia and Ukraine will immediately start negotiations toward a Ceasefire and, more importantly, an END to the War,” he wrote on Truth Social, and he told reporters later at the White House that he thought “some progress is being made,” reports Reuters. But this fell well short of the hoped-for breakthrough. The war will continue, with no ceasefire in sight, only the promise of the continuation of talks.
  • “The ground shifted again,” is how Anthony Zurcher of the BBC puts it in an analysis. Trump once promised to end the war in his first 24 hours in office, then said it would be resolved only after he and Putin put their heads together. Now, after the two-hour call, Trump “said that the conditions of a peace deal could only be negotiated between Russia and Ukraine—and maybe with the help of the pope.”
  • The New York Times similarly finds that Trump “appeared enthusiastic to surrender his mediating role to a higher power: the pope.” Trump even floated the idea of the US washing its hands of the war: “I tell you, big egos involved, but I think something’s going to happen. And if it doesn’t, I just back away and they’re going to have to keep going,” he said, per CNN.
  • After his call with Putin, Trump spoke with Zelensky, along with the leaders of Germany, France, Italy, Finland, and the European Commission in a conference call. They hoped to hear that he had convinced Putin to agree to an immediate ceasefire, perhaps under pressure of US penalties. But, according to Axios, the leaders “seemed surprised that Trump seemed relatively content with what he heard from Putin, and presented it as a new development, even though the Russian leader did not seem to have changed his position at all.”
  • The Washington Post sees a pattern emerging after Trump’s third call with Putin since his inauguration: The US “demands on Putin to show that he is serious about peace, countered by the Kremlin insisting that the complexity of a broader peace deal prevents an immediate ceasefire.”

The ‘call’ basically worries world leaders…..why?

Several world leaders were shocked by how submissive Donald Trump was to Moscow’s demands following a two-hour phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Shortly after hanging up Monday with his favorite autocrat, Trump hopped on the line with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, and a few other world leaders to update them on negotiations.

Sources told Axios that some of the leaders seemed “surprised” and “shocked” when Trump reported that Putin had agreed to begin negotiations toward a ceasefire—something that the Russian president had previously done, as talks had already taken place in Istanbul last week.

When Zelenskiy pointed this out, Trump did not respond.

Additionally, Trump reportedly pushed back on commitments to impose penalties on Moscow, after previously discussing levying sanctions on Russia with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer if Russia refused calls for a ceasefire. While Trump declined to ramp up pressure on Putin, Starmer followed through, imposing 100 new sanctions on Russia Tuesday.

https://newrepublic.com/post/195501/donald-trump-vladimir-putin-call-global-leaders-terrified

I guess the conflict that he said he would end on Day One will continue to be hot and destructive.

There was a time when Donny coveted a Peace Prize….if he really wants one then Ukraine/Russia would be the perfect vessel….I guess he wants one but does not want to work at it.

Donald Trump was going to end the war in Ukraine in 48 hours five months ago, but it has not been so easy! Especially when he is not sure invaded who, and which one is the dictator. Still, he wants you to know, he’s tried everything.

Everything?  Really?

What Trump has not tried:

  • Demanding a timeline for a ceasefire
  • US involvement
  • More sanctions
  • Insisting Vladimir Putin sit down with him and Zelenskyy at the same time

or

  • Putting any kind of pressure on Putin whatsoever, unless you count pretending to be mad.

Job well done.  (And that my friends is how you do sarcasm).

Wannabe ‘King’s’ New Ride

Little Donny is on his second overseas trip this time he will visit Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar…..the visit is said to be for talks on the Middle East….while on the visit to Qatar he will accept delivery of his new Air Force One from the Qatari government.

U.S. President Donald Trump—no stranger to allegations of blatant corruption—faced an onslaught of criticism on Sunday in response to ABC Newsreporting that his administration is preparing to accept “what may be the most valuable gift ever extended to the United States from a foreign government.”

Ahead of Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, sources told ABC that the administration “is preparing to accept a super luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from the royal family of Qatar—a gift that is to be available for use by… Trump as the new Air Force One until shortly before he leaves office, at which time ownership of the plane will be transferred to the Trump presidential library foundation.”

The unnamed sources also explained that “lawyers for the White House counsel’s office and the Department of Justice drafted an analysis for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth concluding that is legal for the Department of Defense to accept the aircraft as a gift and later turn it over to the Trump library, and that it does not violate laws against bribery or the Constitution’s prohibition (the emoluments clause) of any U.S. government official accepting gifts ‘from any king, prince, or foreign state.’

Amid the uncertainty, a range of people across the internet blasted the supposed plan, slamming it as “indefensible,” “incredibly illegal,” and “comically corrupt.” Some critics pointed out that the reporting comes after the Trump Organization, the Saudi partner DarGlobal, and a company owned by the Qatari government last month reached a deal to build a luxury golf resort in Qatar.

Some critics highlighted security concerns. One legal expert declared, “An emolument and security risk all wrapped up in one!”

If a new Air Force One is needed what was wrong with American manufacturer, Boeing?

This incident should keep the tongues wagging for some time or at least until the next bombshell that falls out of Donny’s mouth.

This Is Trumpism

For well over a decade there has been a wealth of articles and studies trying to explain Trump and all his biases and hatred…..I have posted most of them for I would like to make sense of this modern day phenom.

Right on cue there is yet another ‘explanation’….

It’s high time commentators stopped trying to shoehorn the American polity into a paradigm that doesn’t fit. Donald Trump’s brand of government is as new and unique as it is volatile and disturbing. Sometimes, history neither repeats nor rhymes. Sometimes, a whole new species bursts onto the scene.

What we’re seeing today with Trump isn’t dictatorship. Dictators control their countries. They don’t rely on the opposition party to pass budgets; they dictate where money is spent. They don’t get bludgeoned every hour in the press; they dominate the media. And they don’t have their key initiatives stymied in the courts; they control the judiciary.

Nor is this Nazism. Nazis don’t make Nazi salutes at rallies and then try (with mixed success) to downsize the government. Nazis make Nazi salutes at rallies and then go kill a bunch of innocent people. Nazis, moreover, don’t just slap tariffs on their neighbors. Nazis invade their neighbors.

This isn’t fascism, either. Fascists enforce a coherent vision of government through a murderous, totalitarian regime. They don’t flail around pursuing incoherent and contradictory policies that get blocked as frequently as they get implemented.

Sure, there are similarities between Trump’s presidency and these historical forms of government. Trump’s rhetoric, for example, is often lifted from the lips of history’s worst tyrants. His abuses of executive power, moreover, often resemble certain dictatorial techniques. But, overall, these political pegs don’t fit into the American hole. Having similarities with something is different from being the same thing. Both the mouse and the elephant have four legs and a tail.

No, what we have in America today is different. It’s new. It’s unprecedented. What we have in America today is Trumpism.

https://thefulcrum.us/donald-trump-leadership-style

I disagree that this a form of leadership….to me his government is a rudderless ship that is precariously close to the rocks of disaster.

On another hand….I personally think that Little Donny is not all there with his decision making capabilities…..the country is slow simmering on collapse and he spends too much time worrying about his golf game….but that aside this a meme going around about dementia.

Donald Trump is dealing with dementia during his second term as president, at least according to psychotherapist and author Dr. John Gartner.

Dr. Gartner has noted numerous symptoms Trump may be suffering from including his inability to “even finishing a sentence,” RadarOnline.com can reveal.

After previously claiming “there is absolutely no doubt” Trump has dementia, Dr. Gartner explained his reasoning to MindSite News in a new interview.

He said: “When we’re diagnosing dementia, what we need to see is a deterioration of someone’s own baseline of functioning. What we see that a lot of people don’t appreciate is that when Donald Trump was younger in the 1980s, he was actually quite articulate. He spoke in polished paragraphs; now he has difficulty even finishing a sentence.

“His thoughts were logical and related: now they’re tangential. He goes off on these ramblings where he is confabulating things – weird things in which he’ll talk about Venezuelans and mental hospitals, and then he’ll talk about sharks and batteries or the late, great Hannibal Lector and Silence of the Lambs.”

https://radaronline.com/p/trump-dementia-obvious-signs-suffering-from-alzheimers/

***Please understand that I am not claiming this is the definitive explanation only that it is being passed around….and I include it as an FYI for my visitors.***

Then we have some of his supporters….I know some that are claiming that they were duped for their vote….all I can do for these people is bust out in raucous laughter…they we told over and over and they chose to disregard the facts and vote for a person that lied to them on ever level.

I guess the old saying ‘Can’t Fix Stupid” is accurate to the nth degree.
