Health Update

First I would like to thank my readers that shown concern for my hospital visit yesterday…..I appreciate the concern and kind words.

I had have 2 procedures yesterday and I had to be there at 0645 which I was and checked in….they got to me at 0930….I hate waiting and thinking….I has out after the 2 procedures at 1130 still loopy from the gas….

The doctor came in and told me what he had found….one procedure was good and he could see no problems the other was inconclusive and he said we would give it awhile and run the procedure again….oh f–cking joy.

My daughter was great she hung in there with me and made jokes trying to cheer me up….it did not work…..but she tried and I love her for that.

After I got home I went to bed and did not move until about midnight….now I am drinking coffee and trying to get caught up on the news which by the way was not all that thrilling so I really did not miss anything, did I?

Thanx you guys for caring and all the kind words.

Today is another doctor’s visit….at least this one is at a descent time….I wonder what this one will have for me?

as long as I am giving a health update….news for Medicare (that would be me)….

A federal program that has helped steady premiums for Medicare prescription drug plans is going away. The Trump administration will phase out $3.6 billon in subsidies to insurers after 2026, saying the companies no longer need the support on Medicare Part D plans, reports the Wall Street Journal. The move means that millions of seniors may face higher Medicare drug premiums next year, notes the New York Times, but the particulars likely won’t become clear until the fall.

Administration official tells the Journal that about 45% of Medicare Part D enrollees are projected to face monthly hikes of roughly $11 to $20, and 30% would see increases of under $10, though some could avoid increases by switching plans. The remaining 25% would see no hike or perhaps a decrease. Dr. Mehmet Oz, head of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, framed the move on X as ending a Biden-era “bailout” that he said encouraged higher pricing and gave “billions” to big insurers, per Reuters. Still, analysts say rising use of pricey GLP-1 and specialty drugs—and cost shifts under the Inflation Reduction Act—will keep pressure on premiums.

Let me be honest….all these twats should be taken out and shoot twice to be sure they are dead.

Sorry about that but I have had enough of this crap.

  1. I’m with you on the shooting twice! And that waiting. Why do they get you there so early and then make you wait for over two hours when they know you are desperately worrying? It feels cruel to me. Stay strong old friend.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. I’m thrilled that the news was at least partly good. That’s something at least. Hang in there my friend. We’re all pulling for you!

I’m going to be honest here. It seems that Trump and his entire administration seem to be hell bent on utterly destroying everything they touch. It’s gone well beyond the point where they callously just don’t care about people any longer and they’re actively genuinely trying to harm as many people as they can now.

    1. Indeed, GF. This just happened yesterday:

      From: https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/alex-jones-calls-trump-immediate-222253909.html

Alex Jones, the far-right conspiracy theorist who was once one of President Donald Trump’s earliest and most loyal backers, called on Tuesday for the president’s immediate impeachment.

In a lengthy rant shared to his over 4 million followers on X, Jones accused Trump of trying to bring back the national draft ahead of a full-scale ground invasion of Iran. He went so far as to claim Trump will use “total war” to “take our freedoms, nationalize everything, and push us aside with AI—total liability, immunity, and protection.”

Jones, who no longer operates under the InfoWars branding following the Sandy Hook defamation lawsuits, joins other hard-right figures like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens in breaking with Trump over the Iran war, but took things a step further this week in calling for the president’s impeachment and “Nuremberg-style trials” for officials in his administration.

  3. I’m sorry that your medical procedures didn’t go better. That sucks, and having to wait so long only makes it worse. Trump is sticking it to us again with drug prices… that figures. What an asshole!

Anyway, hope today goes better for you.

  4. Dear Fiend… I am so sorry that you have to suffer all this agony but I am also glad that it is not as bad as it could be –There is still a lot of hope and you are a born fighter and I am praying for the very best outcomes for you. You are my loyal friend. I could not ask for better. Therefore I care for you. As you know I am fighting my own heart issues at present but things are looking up for me right now. So keep in there, my friend, my very good friend– keep in there and keep fighting and remember that I always think of you and am praying for you.
