More Moronic By The Day

I admit it….this group in DC continually prove to me that they are not serious about anything but pleasing his Lord High Donny….and it gets more moronic by the day.

Just when the tariffs are starting to cause problems many thought that Greenland would be furthest from Donny’s mind…..well Bubba you be mistaken.

Yesterday was another on of those days….

Amid the Trump administration’s ongoing rhetoric regarding a possible takeover of Greenland, two sources tell the Wall Street Journal the US is ordering its intelligence agencies to increase spying in the semiautonomous Arctic territory. Specifically, the administration wants information on Greenland’s independence movement as well as how residents feel about US objectives on the island, including resource extraction, the sources say. By intercepting communications, using surveillance satellites, and gaining intel via actual spies on the ground, the agencies are tasked with identifying people in Greenland and Denmark who are friendly to those objectives, the sources say.

The Journal calls it “one of the first concrete steps Trump’s administration has taken toward fulfilling the president’s often-stated desire to acquire Greenland,” and it comes days after the president’s interview with NBC News in which he wouldn’t rule out the use of military force to seize the island. Most agencies declined to comment on the Journal‘s report, but Trump’s director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, issued a statement saying the paper “should be ashamed of aiding deep state actors who seek to undermine the President by politicizing and leaking classified information. They are breaking the law and undermining our nation’s security and democracy.” See the full story at the Journal.

Someone please share with my readers what is it about seal hunting Inuits that would make them a ‘national security threat’?

Donny did not stop there….after renaming the Gulf of Mexico he now has his eyes set on another body of water for a name change….

President Trump is planning to rename another gulf, insiders say. The president is set to announce during his upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia that the United States will begin calling the Persian Gulf either the Arabian Gulf or the Gulf of Arabia, according to two US officials who spoke to the AP on Tuesday on condition of anonymity. Arab nations, which already call it the Arabian Gulf, have advocated for the name change, while Iran, formerly Persia, unsurprisingly prefers Persian Gulf, the name that has been used for centuries.

The US military has been calling the body of water, which sits between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula, the Arabian Gulf for years, the AP notes. Iran threatened to sue Google over a Google Maps change in 2012. In 2017, Iranian officials criticized Trump for calling it the Arabian Gulf. “Everyone knew Trump’s friendship was for sale to the highest bidder. We now know that his geography is, too,” said Javad Zarif, then the country’s foreign minister. As with Trump’s renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America, other countries aren’t obliged to go along with whatever the US decides to call the body of water.

What does Donny want from KSA in return?

Glad to see that Donny spends his time thinking up useless crap….what about the hardships he is foisting unto the American people with his damn ignorant tariffs?

What about those trade negotiations that he has said are taking place, hundreds of them, according to his count?

President Donald Trump claimed Tuesday that the U.S. doesn’t “have to sign” any trade deals, inadvertently admitting that his administration hasn’t made any progress during the 90-day pause on his disastrous tariffs.

During a tense meeting to discuss tariffs with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, the president attempted to move the goal posts on actually completing any agreements with foreign countries.

“Everyone says, ‘When, when, when, are you going to sign deals?’ We don’t have to sign deals!” Trump said.

“We don’t have to sign deals. They have to sign deals with us. They want a piece of our market, we don’t want a piece of their market. We don’t care about their market. They want a piece of our market,” Trump rambled.

The president’s unwieldy statements downplaying the importance of the trade deals seemed to be cushioning the likelihood that negotiations would ultimately fail. Trump’s remarks also revealed that his administration has yet to complete a single trade deal.

https://newrepublic.com/post/194920/donald-trump-admits-no-trade-deals

There you have it.

This tool had rather spend his time playing golf and thinking of stupid sh*t that does nothing to help Americans as they struggle through his stupidity.

Those tariffs that are suppose to make us rich….not even the tool that came up with the damn stupid idea has anything positive to say….

President Trump is changing his tune on the economy, suggesting Americans should buy less and will probably pay more and bear the brunt of an uncertain economic landscape as his wide-ranging tariff policy takes effect.

Trump and his economic team have for weeks said the tariffs would result in only short-term pain and that the tumult in the stock market would eventually level out.

But the White House’s messaging has evolved from Trump on the campaign trail promising to lower prices and make America “wealthy” again to Trump suggesting the U.S. needs a cultural shift on consumer spending while accepting that his tariff plan will raise prices.

Trump was asked Sunday by NBC’s Kristen Welker if he would acknowledge that his tariff plan will result in higher prices.

At first, the president suggested tariffs will “make us rich” — similar to sentiments he’s expressed when touting his economic policy. But in the next turn, he suggested that American children, for example, do not need as many toys and that Americans do not need to spend as much money on “junk we don’t need.”

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5283974-trump-tariffs-economy/

His solution is that we to spend less…..(think about that)….in case you missed something thanks to these goddamn tariffs spending less for us is not an option.

We are told that we need to accept the idea we will be poorer….by some of Donny’s hatchet men…

… another case of Trump saying the quiet part out loud. If anything, Trump was merely underlining a sentiment that’s gained traction on the political right in recent years: that Americans should be forced to pay higher prices for basic goods and household items.

Don’t believe me? Here are four other recent incidents in which national conservatives in Trump’s orbit admitted as much.

I Had To Ruin A Lovely Sunday

While many were celebrating the 4th of May with Star Wars movies and such I had to, being a political junkie, spoil my evening by watching Littler Donny and his Sh*t Show in an interview…..

There was more manure shoveled than a farm hand in the barn….

President Trump in an interview aired Sunday pushed back against analysts’ predictions about a recession, said he might abandon Ukraine-Russia peace talks, and, despite the oath he took on Inauguration Day, deferred to his lawyers about whether the president is obligated to uphold the Constitution’s due process guarantee. He also suggested how 11-year-olds can contribute to his trade war against China in the interview by Kristen Welker on NBC’s Meet the Press, which was taped Friday at Mar-a-Lago, per the AP. The topics included:

  • Due process: Asked if he agrees with Secretary of State Marco Rubio that everyone in the US, whether a citizen or not, deserves due process, Trump would not commit. “I don’t know,” Trump answered, per the New York Times. “I’m not, I’m not a lawyer.” Adhering to due process could necessitate millions of court cases, slowing his mass deportations of people he described as murderers and drug dealers, Trump said. “I was elected to get them the hell out of here, and the courts are holding me from doing it,” he said. Trump said his lawyers will “obviously follow what the Supreme Court said.”
  • Economic tension: The conversation became heated on a couple of points, one being some Wall Street analysts’ contention that a recession is looking more likely. “Well, I tell you something else. Some people on Wall Street say that we’re going to have the greatest economy in history,” he said. He again offered a reassurance, per the Washington Post. “Everything’s OK,” he said. “I said this is a transition period.” Another sore spot was the price of strollers, which Welker said is rising since he imposed tariffs. “Well, I don’t know, when you say strollers are going up, what kind of a thing?” Trump said. “I’m saying that gasoline is going down. Gasoline is thousands of times more important than a stroller or some place?”
  • Russia and Ukraine: Trump said he’s been close to walking away from peace talks and still might do that. “There will be a time when I will say, ‘OK, keep going. Keep being stupid and keep fighting,'” he said.
  • Dolls: Trump took heat for saying during a Cabinet meeting last week that price increases on goods caused by his tariffs might mean “children will have two dolls instead of 30 dolls”—and that’s fine. Aides doubled down on that view, saying US-made dolls are better anyway, per the Hill. On Meet the Press, Trump returned to the subject. “I don’t think that a beautiful baby girl needs—that’s 11 years old—needs to have 30 dolls,” he said. “I think they can have three dolls or four dolls because what we were doing with China was just unbelievable. We had a trade deficit of hundreds of billions of dollars with China.”
  • The next president: After saying a month ago that he wasn’t kidding about pursuing a third term in office, Trump stepped back. “This is not something I’m looking to do,” he told Welker. “I’m looking to have four great years and turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican.” He declined to name a GOP favorite to follow him but mentioned Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio as possibilities.

There was absolutely nothing of a redeeming quality in this interview….if anything it showed me how of out of touch this man really is….to say he is a clueless fool is being kind and anyone who buys any of this manure is a clueless fool and that is me being REALLY KIND.

Welcome To The ‘Love In’

In Donny’s cabinet meeting after his first 100 days in office was yesterday and these meetings are usually about departments point out problems and offering solutions and discussion would ensue….that would be the usual tact of doings….but that is not a Donny cabinet meeting here he wants his praise and that is all that is important….and he was not disappointed….

In a two-hour game of one-upmanship at the White House on Wednesday, top Cabinet officials took turns drenching President Trump with praise that went beyond even the usual levels of adulation. Near the end of the marathon meeting, Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted that the US has brought home 47 wrongfully detained Americans so far in Trump’s second term. “Forty-seven for the 47th president in the first 100 days,” Rubio said. “And that’s all credit to you, Mr. President.”

  • Earlier in the session, Vice President JD Vance mused that “most” of the presidents whose portraits adorn the Oval Office—who include Ronald Reagan, James Madison, George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln — were mere “placeholders” who weren’t “men of action,” the AP reports.
  • Energy Secretary Doug Burgum observed that Trump was “not just courageous, you’re actually fearless” in taking on issues that other presidents dare not touch. “All of us can sprint, because you’re running ahead,” Burgum said.
  • The president assembled his Cabinet to celebrate the 100-day mark of his second term, and Trump opened by noting that “things are happening that are amazing, but I would not say it if it weren’t fact.” From there, the president let others do the talking.
  • Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed that Trump in his second term saved “258 million lives” due to the amount of fentanyl that his Justice Department has taken off the streets. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. thanked the president for “your vision and leadership, for giving me the 100 busiest days of my life.”
  • “I just want to say thank you, as a veteran of our military, for assembling what is the greatest national security team that I have ever seen in my 27 years associated with the United States Army,” said Lee Zeldin, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
  • the praise wasn’t devoted just to the commander-in-chief. As Burgum spoke, he noted the “amazing group of people around the table” and added a quick aside to Trump: “You probably assembled the greatest Cabinet ever.”
  • During the meeting, Trump told Elon Musk he was invited to stay in his administration indefinitely. Trump said Musk had been “treated unfairly” for his role in helping Trump slash the size and scope of the federal government. “You really have sacrificed a lot,” he said. Musk, who wore a Gulf of America hat on top of a DOGE hat, also praised Trump, the Washington Examinerreports. “A tremendous amount has been accomplished in the first 100 days,” he said. “As everyone has said, it’s more than has been accomplished in any administration before ever, period.”

The economy sucks, we are fighting wars all over the world, the government is at a virtual standstill and this is what is important…..unqualified tools sucking up to an idiot to keep their lucrative jobs.

What a pack of brown nose pukes!  Cheese eating cocks*ckers!

There are real problems with this country that need addressing and instead we get a ‘lovefest’….This display is petty and pathetic.

Can you now visualize why I call this ‘team’ of unqualified clowns a Sh*t Show?

I am not worried about my future….are you?

More 100 Days Antics

On his 100 anniversary our boy in DC went to Michigan to run his mouth…..my granddaddy had a saying about people like Donny…’they talk out of both sides of their mouth’….but enough reminiscing….what did he go on and on about?

President Trump on Tuesday celebrated the 100th day of his second term—yet spent much of his rally marking it in campaign mode, bringing up past grudges and grievances. The AP reports that at the rally at Macomb Community College in suburban Detroit. Trump repeatedly mocked his Democratic predecessor, Joe Biden, attacking his mental acuity and even how he appears in a bathing suit. He again claimed he won the 2020 presidential election. And he attacked polling and news coverage not favorable to him. “I miss the campaign,” he said at one point, per the New York Times.

  • Trump again and again returned to immigration, his signature issue, at the rally that marked his largest political event since returning to the White House—boasting about his administration’s “mass deportation” efforts that have sent arrests for illegal crossings along the US-Mexico plummeting. “Removing the invaders is not just a campaign pledge,” Trump said. “It’s my solemn duty as commander-in-chief. I have an obligation to save our country.” He paused his remarks to play a video of of alleged gang members arriving at a notorious prison in El Salvador, with the crowd cheering as images of deportees having their heads shaved were played.
  • We’re here tonight in the heartland of our nation to celebrate the most successful first 100 days of any administration in the history of our country,” Trump said, standing before large electronic screens reading “100 Days of Greatness.” He later added: “We’ve just gotten started. You haven’t even seen anything yet.”
  • “After a lifetime of unelected bureaucrats stealing your paychecks, attacking your values and trampling your freedoms, we are stopping their gravy train, ending their power trip, and telling thousands of corrupt, incompetent and unnecessary deep state bureaucrats, ‘you’re fired!'” Trump said during the 90-minute speech to crowd of around 3,000.
  • Trump gave shoutouts to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and CNN commentator Scott Jennings, inviting the Republican consultant up on stage, the AP reports. Trump ended as he always did on the campaign trail, proclaiming he will “fight, fight, fight” and “win, win, win.”
  • The Times reports that the Democratic National Committee issued a statement in response to Trump’s rally: “While Donald Trump lives in his delusions, Michigan families—along with millions of working families across this country—are forced to live with the consequences of his dangerous, chaotic, and economy-destroying agenda.”

He said he missed campaigning….what the Hell was this rally….

Then there was his 100 days interview with ABC News….would we call it contentious?

In addition to his Michigan rally, President Trump gave an interview to ABC News to mark his 100th day in office Tuesday, and it wasn’t exactly a friendly one. Words like “contentious” and “testy” were being used to describe Trump’s sit-down with Terry Moran, an anchor and senior national correspondent for the network—whom Trump said he picked for the interview because he’d “never heard of” him before. The two clashed on topics including tariffs, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and the administration’s mass deportation efforts, per outlets including the Independent and the Hill. Some key quotes:

  • Kilmar Abrego Garcia: While discussing the accidental deportation of Abrego Garcia, Trump sparred with Moran over whether the man had MS-13 tattoos (many have said the photos appearing to show such tattoos have been digitally altered, which Moran pointed out to Trump, to no avail). “They’re giving you the big break of a lifetime, you know, you’re doing the interview,” Trump said during this exchange. “I picked you because, frankly, I never heard of you … but you’re not being very nice.”
  • Tariffs: After a back-and-forth on Trump’s trade policies got heated at times, with Trump downplaying Moran’s questions about concerns for the US economy, Moran eventually asked, “So your answer to the concern about the tariffs is, ‘Everything’s gonna be hunky-dory?'” Trump replied, “Everybody’s gonna be just fine. It wouldn’t have been if I didn’t do this. I had a choice. I could leave it, have a nice, easy time. But I think ultimately you wouldn’t had an implosion. Our country had inflation that was worse than they’ve ever had it before. You don’t mention that. Why don’t you mention that?”
  • Hegseth: Trump defended his defense secretary despite reports of chaos at the Defense Department and multiple allegations of security breaches involving Hegseth. Asked by Moran if he had 100% confidence in Hegseth, the president replied, “I don’t have 100% confidence in anything, OK? Anything. Do I have a hundred percent? It’s a stupid question.”
  • Putin: Trump also acknowledged he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin “wanted to get all of Ukraine, once he went in.” He added, “I think if I didn’t win the election, he would have gotten all of Ukraine, he would have taken all of Ukraine.”
  • Authoritarianism: Asked how he would respond to people who are concerned the country is sliding into authoritarianism, Trump replied, “I would hate them to think that. I’m doing one thing, I’m making America great again.”

As usual this interview was never about informing the viewers but rather a chance to take shots at anyone that he considers ‘hostile’.

All in all it was a day that will be remembered for  what your had for breakfast….nothing else.

Last Week At The Sh*t Show–27Apr25

The happenings withing the current administration….all the silliness that should have no place in a rational government.

Donny and his escort went to Rome where all the photographers were….as they say ‘all roads lead to Rome’ or in Donny’s case all Roman roads lead to the year’s biggest photo-op.

Protocol was that attendees to the funeral wear black in respect….Donny wore blue (was it a faux pas, a statement, or just outright disrespect for the man and the religion?)…..he did have a front row seat (that should have made him happy)….but if you need more….https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-gets-called-out-in-front-of-millions-at-popes-funeral/

At least he was not allowed to ramble on….the biggest story was his quick meeting with Zelenskyy before the funeral.

But Wait!  There is more!

Then there is the new episode of the “Magic Sharpie”….as it guts our society….

President Trump issued new executive orders Wednesday targeting US colleges and the accrediting organizations that oversee them, part of his campaign against “wokeness” and DEI efforts in higher education. One order calls for tougher enforcement of Section 117 of the Higher Education Act. This federal law, passed in the 1980s, requires colleges to disclose foreign gifts and contracts of $250,000 or more. The White House claims Harvard and other universities have violated this law, which has been “unevenly enforced,” per the AP. A second order aims to shake up the bodies responsible for accrediting colleges, which then allows them to accept federal financial aid; Trump has referred to this move as his “secret weapon” to remake higher education, the Wall Street Journal reports.

  • One order directs the Education Department and the attorney general to increase enforcement and possibly withhold federal money from institutions that violate disclosure rules. The administration aims to “end the secrecy surrounding foreign funds in American educational institutions” and protect against “foreign exploitation.” Concerns over financial ties between higher education institutions and foreign countries, especially China, have been persistent among Republicans and have been reignited during the recent dispute between the White House and Harvard University. One Republican representative says he believes China uses academic ties to “indoctrinate students” and steal US research.
  • Another order focuses on organizations known as accreditors, which set the standards colleges must meet to access federal financial aid. Trump has criticized the current system, calling it “dominated by Marxist Maniacs and lunatics.” The new order instructs the government to suspend or terminate accreditors that, in the administration’s view, discriminate against colleges due to DEI requirements. Some accreditors have already dropped or stopped enforcing DEI criteria following previous pressure from Trump. “Revoking accreditation is an existential threat for these universities,” explains one research fellow. “If you lose Pell grants and lose student loans, for most colleges that means you’re done.”
  • Other executive orders focused on K-12 schools, CNN reports. One aims to ensure students are taught how to use artificial intelligence. Another, per NPR, addresses discipline in schools and promises to issue new guidance “ensuring school discipline policies are based on objective behavior, not DEI.” Obama- and Biden-era discipline policies aimed to reduce racial disparities in disciplinary measures such as suspensions and expulsions, but the Trump executive order says “racially preferential discipline practices” will be prohibited under the new guidance.

Then there is ‘fix’ for the lower birth rate….

President Trump’s policy moves may revolve around tariffs, slashing the size of the federal government, and deportations, but sources tell the New York Times there’s one other issue gaining steam in the background: increasing the US birthrate, which has been declining since 2007. Those sources—four people who have been privy to some of these White House discussions—say the Trump administration has been on the receiving end of multiple proposed policies to encourage Americans to get married and have more children. The closeness of pronatalist proponents like Vice President JD Vance and Elon Musk to the Oval Office is giving things a boost, they say.

The Congressional Budget Office expects an average 1.6 births per woman over the next three decades, reports Newsweek, a good deal below the 2.1 births per woman needed to maintain a stable population absent immigration. The administration has heard proposals that range from reserving 30% of Fulbright scholarships for married applicants or applicants with children to offering a $5,000 “baby bonus” to new mothers. Another proposal would fund education programs to teach women about their menstrual cycles and fertility. Activists Simone and Malcolm Collins say they’ve provided the White House with a number of draft executive orders, among them one that would award a “National Medal of Motherhood” to mothers with six or more children.

Other ideas are coming from within: Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, who has nine children, issued a memo in which he vowed to give priority to transportation funding for areas with higher birth and marriage rates. And White House aides are working on a report, expected within the next month, on how to improve the affordability and accessibility of IVF. As the Times puts it, “The behind-the-scenes discussions about family policy suggest Mr. Trump is quietly building an ambitious plan to promote the issue.” He indicated he might do as much at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2023: “I want a baby boom,” he said.

There seems to be a program that I recall from the years before WW2….

The Magic Sharpie further attacks Civil Rights Act…..

“With the swipe of his pen, Donald Trump has just made an attempt to re-segregate America by repealing and deprioritizing landmark civil rights regulations and laws,” legislative researcher Allison Chapman told Truthout.

The order instructs federal agencies to stop enforcing laws and regulations based on disparate impact — a legal theory that identifies policies with discriminatory effects, even if they appear facially neutral. It also directs the attorney general to revise or repeal any Title VI racial nondiscrimination regulations that rely on this theory, and calls on agencies to review and possibly withdraw from ongoing cases or settlements involving disparate impact claims.

Trump Guts Key Civil Rights Protections With New Executive Order

A possible EO waiting in the wings for Social Security….

The Trump administration is planning to further cripple the Social Security Administration by making it easier to fire thousands of the agency’s employees.

The agency’s acting commissioner, Leland Dudek, told SSA staff earlier this month that many of their jobs would be converted to Schedule F positions, a new classification that would strip these workers of civil service protections. The move has prompted litigation from one of the unions representing SSA employees, the American Federation of Government Employees, who argue that the new classification is misplaced.

https://newrepublic.com/post/194362/trump-plan-social-security-administration-layoffs

Moving past the ‘Magic Sharpie….these are the idiotic situations coming from the office Little Donny….

His admin has denied disaster aide for Arkansas….

Donald Trump has denied federal disaster relief funds to the people of Arkansas, which saw dozens of people die from a series of deadly tornadoes last month, as legislators plead for him to reconsider.

More than 40 people have been found dead after a series of tornadoes and severe storms hit Arkansas and neighboring states Mississippi and Missouri in March, according to CNN.

Given the scale of the disaster, the state’s Republican governor, Sarah Huckabee, requested federal disaster aid as a part of an emergency declaration. That request was later denied by the Trump administration.

Huckabee and other Arkansas lawmakers have since publicly asked Trump to reconsider his decision. Huckabee sent an appeal of the decision on 18 April.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/apr/24/trump-denies-aid-arkansas-tornados

Donny tells Veterans how lucky they were….

While speaking to a group of injured American veterans on Wednesday, April 23, the president claimed what happened to the wounded soldiers was “amazing” as he looked around at all of the men with prosthetic limbs.

“So you guys got hit, huh? Pretty good. You got hit. Amazing,” Trump muttered to the individuals, as one of the veterans admitted they were stationed at a “pretty tough area in the Arghandab River Valley” of Afghanistan.

A woman accompanying the group informed the president more than 50 percent of their unit received a purple heart, which is a heroic medal awarded to service members wounded, killed or who may die from wounds received while fighting against a U.S. enemy.

https://okmagazine.com/p/donald-trump-backlash-wounded-soldiers-amazing-hit-hopeless-empathy/

This from a president that could not take time off from golf to show some respect for soldiers death in Lithuania.

Income tax could be replaced with tariffs revenue…..

President Donald Trump has high aspirations for his tariffs, going so far as to suggest increased taxes on imports could replace income taxes.

“There’s a real chance,” he told Fox Noticias on April 15. “There is a chance that the money from tariffs could be so great that it would replace (the income tax).”

The idea may sound appealing, but economists who spoke to USA TODAY say Trump’s tariffs would struggle to raise enough money to eliminate income taxes in full.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2025/04/22/trump-tariffs-replace-income-taxes-economists/83196923007/

One more time!  Tariffs are paid by the importer not the country of origin and the costs will be passed onto the consumer (that is YOU)…in essence it is just another tax only much worse.

Finally, Donny has told the country a bunch of lies about the price of eggs and gas and etc.

Gas. Groceries. Eggs. Over the last week, President Donald Trump has lied about the price of all of them — using this repeated deception to try to minimize widespread concerns that his tariffs will fuel inflation.

Here is a fact check.

Gas

Trump claimed last Thursday that gas prices “hit $1.98 yesterday in a couple of states.” That wasn’t true. No state had an average gas price below $2.70 per gallon on Wednesday, according to data from AAA, which reported a national average of about $3.17 per gallon. And the lowest individual Wednesday price found by the firm GasBuddy, which tracks tens of thousands of gas stations across the country, was $2.19 at a station in Texas.

Last Week At The Sh*t Show–09Mar25

Welcome to Daylight Savings time…..another of those promises from Donny the Plebeian that he has forsaken.

Opening statement:  This is for all my friends….Sue is improving but still in hospital…..Thank You for all the well wishes for her recovery…..your words are much appreciated.

Now on to the Sh*t Show.

Couple stories from the wealth of stupid that is coming from DC these days….

The most absurd report is that an idiot GOPer nominates Trump for the Peace Prize….again.

“No one deserves it more,” Republican US Rep. Darrell Issa said in a post on X Monday, announcing that he is nominating President Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize. Issa, who represents California’s 48th District, tells Fox News that Trump’s election last year “tangibly kickstarted the cause of peace in numerous regions of the world, and we are already seeing the benefits.” Trump was nominated for the prize multiple times during his first term, with one nomination coming from a right-wing Norwegian lawmaker.

“Not since Ronald Reagan has an American president better represented the national resolve of peace through strength or the fundamental case for a world without war,” Issa says. Jonathan Wilcox, Issa’s deputy chief of staff, tells the Hill that Issa recently led a delegation to the Middle East and “observed first-hand and from several heads of state that the spirit of peace and moving away from conflict is real and multilateral.” The Nobel Committee says nominations can be submitted by members of national governments and national assemblies, as well as certain college professors and previous Peace Prize winners

Every word of Issa statement is total bullshit.  I believe this is the second time some dullard has tried to nominate Trump.

Then there it is on a again Trump face on Rushmore….Again.

The House bill was introduced on January 28 by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL13). The bill does not appear to have a title. No Senate companion version appears to have been introduced yet.

The bill attracted 38 cosponsors but never received a committee vote. Rep. Johnson subsequently introduced the bill in 2022 and 2023, with the 2023 version even receiving a hearing before the House Natural Resource Committee’s Subcommittee on Federal Lands. Still, no version has received a vote.

https://thefulcrum.us/governance-legislation/trump-mount-rushmore-bill

Another complete waste of time and energy….and besides that an humorless joke.

Next is the GOP money thing….this one is new.

President Trump’s face could end up on the $250 bill—and the $100. After longtime South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson proposed a new $250 bill featuring Trump’s face last week, first-term Texas Rep. Brandon Gill put forth legislation, called the “Golden Age Act of 2025,” that would see Trump replace Benjamin Franklin on the $100 bill. “There has been no one who has done more to bring America into the golden age than President Trump,” Gill said in a Monday statement, per the Hill. “Featuring him on the $100 bill is a small way to honor all he will accomplish these next four years.”

It’s been almost a century since faces on US currency have been altered. Andrew Jackson last replaced Grover Cleveland on the $20 note in 1929, per Fox News. On X, Gill shared a photo of his idea, showing Trump’s official portrait on the $100 bill. His legislation states the Treasury secretary should present a preliminary design to the public no later than the end of next year, and that all $100 bills feature Trump beginning in 2029. A press release makes no mention of the 1866 law that prevents any living person from being depicted on US currency. Wilson has said his legislation would amend that law, per the State.

Not much more ludicrous than this idea.

Then there is new EO that is in essence strip mining of our forests….

President Trump on Saturday issued an executive order aimed at increasing logging in a big way. He directed federal agencies to look into how they might bypass environmental regulations including endangered species protections in order to boost timber production across 280 million hectares of public lands including national forests, the New York Times reports. The move is intended to decrease US reliance on foreign timber, the Guardian reports.

Experts were warning the move could lead to increased air and water pollution as well as devastate forests and animal habitats. “This Trump executive order is the most blatant attempt in American history by a president to hand over federal public lands to the logging industry,” says one wildfire scientist who warns that, yes, fires could increase due to the impact logging has on the microclimate of forests.

“This is a particularly horrific move by Trump to loot our public lands by handing the keys to big business,” says the public lands policy director for the Center for Biological Diversity. “Clearcutting these beautiful places will increase fire risk, drive species to extinction, pollute our rivers and streams, and destroy world-class recreation sites.” However, the Seattle Times spoke to experts who don’t think the executive order can do much to get around federal laws protecting trees.

Since the report the Trump administration is trying to walk this back.

Since not all is Trump’s doing there are a couple of silly and yet disturbing reports….like Speaker of the House residence…

In 2021, Steve Berger, an evangelical pastor who has attacked the separation of church and state as “a delusional lie” and called multinational institutions “demonic,” set off on an ambitious project. His stated goal: minister to members of Congress so that what “they learn is then translated into policy.” His base of operations would be a six-bedroom, $3.7 million townhouse blocks from the U.S. Capitol.

Recently, the pastor scored a remarkable coup for a political influence project that has until now managed to avoid public scrutiny. He got a new roommate.

House Speaker Mike Johnson has been staying at the home since around the beginning of this year, according to interviews and videos obtained by ProPublica.

The house is owned by a major Republican donor and Tennessee car magnate who has joined Berger in advocating for and against multiple bills before Congress.

And you do not think that this will bias Johnson’s actions?

This is a state GOP issue but if it is successful I can see it making it’s way to DC….

In an unprecedented move to funnel more public tax dollars toward groups that oppose abortion, Republican lawmakers in Missouri are advancing a plan to allow residents to donate to pregnancy resource centers instead of paying any state income taxes.

The proposal would establish a 100% tax credit, up from 70%, and a $50,000 annual cap per taxpayer. The result: Nearly all Missouri households — except those with the highest incomes — could fully satisfy their state tax bill by redirecting their payment from the state to pregnancy centers.

The move comes four months after Missouri voters reversed one of the nation’s strictest abortion bans, and just as clinics have begun performing the procedure again after overcoming Republican obstacles.

Then there is threat of criminal offense against anyone, especially students, that will not kiss Israel’s ass….

Donald Trump threatened American students with arrest for taking part in “illegal” protests in his latest controversial move.

The US president said on Tuesday that all federal funding will stop for colleges and schools that allow “illegal” protests and that agitators will be imprisoned or sent back to the country they came from.

“American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on the crime, arrested,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

Students have a long history in America and other countries around the globe in taking part in demonstrations, some which are declared “illegal”, and in pushing for change.

Yet Another Sarah Palin?

Today the DNC opens its convention and all the promises, attacks, insults and out right BS will continue until Thursday night….I will not waste my time or yours reporting on the day’s festivities…..I will do a wrap up on Friday.

Let’s talk about the elephant in the race.

How many remember the election of 2008 and the intro to one Sarah Palin?

She was the governor of Alaska.

John McCain made a horrendous mistake by asking her to be his VP and it was bore out in the news almost daily.

And now we have a ‘new’ Sarah Palin and its name is JD Vance.

Americans aren’t vibing with the Republican vice-presidential nominee. On average, only 33 percent have a favorable opinion of Sen. JD Vance, while 42 percent have an unfavorable one.

Americans were cool toward Vance from the start: Three days* after he was announced as former President Donald Trump’s running mate, his net favorability rating was -3 percentage points (26 percent favorable, 29 percent unfavorable). But since then, he has faced a rash of bad headlines about his past comments calling Harris a “childless cat lady,” his past support for a national abortion ban and even a baseless internet rumor about having sex with a couch. The poor rollout pushed his net favorability rating down even further, to -9 points.

https://abcnews.go.com/538/tim-walz-popular-jd-vance/story

Vance is similar to Palin….he fires off his mouth before his brain is loaded.

Vance is discussing becoming a new father and the help he gets from his mother-in-law.

“The whole purpose of the postmenopausal female in theory,” he says in the clip talking about becoming a father and getting help. “She lived with us for a year.”

The comments immediately drew attention online, adding to questions about Vance’s view on women after he said that Democrats are mostly miserable “childless cat ladies.”

Don’t believe it?  Then watch the video….

https://www.ibtimes.com/jd-vance-postmenopausal-female-economy-3739794

Vance never stops spouting crap and yet there are some Americans that will vote for him simply because he is tied to Donald the Orange……a sad way to pick a candidate.

Here you can read some Vance’s more disgusting and pathetic quotes….

https://www.buzzfeed.com/natashajokic1/jd-vance-facts-quotes

He is the new Sarah Palin and he will go down as a buffoon in Congress as she did as a buffoon in state government.

Between Project 2025 and Vance it is not looking good for the GOP….but there is still a couple of months for everything to change….but will it?

‘Revenge Can Be Justified’

From the lips of Donald the Orange….

It is nothing new for Trump to voice his desire to punish anyone that goes against him….these days that means mostly Dems with a sprinkling of Repubs in there.

His most recent statement should send shivers up American’s spines….

Former President Trump is threatening revenge for his fraud conviction while asserting that the country is worse off after he became the first US president convicted of a felony. Trump sat down Thursday with Dr. Phil McGraw, who suggested the presumptive Republican presidential nominee didn’t have time to “get even” with his critics, echoing Trump’s own claim from January that he’ll be too busy for retribution. “Well, revenge does take time, I will say that,” Trump replied, per the Hill. “And sometimes revenge can be justified, Phil, I have to be honest. Sometimes it can.” Trump has been making similar comments of late.

“It’s a terrible, terrible path that they’re leading us to, and it’s very possible that it’s going to have to happen to them,” Trump told Newsmax‘s Greg Kelly on Tuesday, per the New York Times. And on Wednesday, he told Fox News‘ Sean Hannity he had “every right to go after” Democrats “based on what they’ve done.” “And it’s easy, because it’s Joe Biden, and you see all the criminality, all of the money that’s going into the family and him,” he added. In another interview that aired Thursday, Trump told Phoenix TV station KNXV he was considering prosecuting his opponents. “I thought it would be a horrible thing to do to Hillary Clinton,” Trump said of the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee. But “the world is different now.”

Trump told Dr. Phil that “the country is really worse for what they’ve done.” But “the people of our country get it,” he said, claiming his campaign had pulled in about $400 million—”numbers that nobody’s ever heard of in politics before”—since his conviction. Even months before his conviction, Trump and his allies were plotting to use the federal government to target, investigate, and prosecute his critics and opponents, should he be elected to a second term as president, according to reporting by the Washington Post. “Donald Trump is so consumed with personal grievance that he does not care who he hurts so long as Donald Trump benefits,” a Biden campaign rep said Wednesday, per the Post.

Is this feasible?

If Trump wins in 2024 could he actually go after those that have ‘wronged’ him?

Should Trump win reelection in November, would he truly pursue punitive reprisals against his political foes? And if he does make good on his many longstanding threats, what would that look like?

https://theweek.com/politics/donald-trump-prosecute-enemies-reelection

Will he make good on his threats or is he just stroking his wanker like some crazed baboon?

Personally I think, if he wins, that he will get his DOJ to start lots of investigation and for him to ramp up the verbal attacks by his sycophants most notably FOX News.

How successful he will be will be just a waiting game for the country and in the end a waste of time….but is that not what DC does best?  Waste time and resources?

Thoughts?

A Bridge Too Far

By now everyone has seen the video of that ship in Maryland hitting the bridge….and there has been a lot of ‘investigation’ into what happened…..and there has been a lot of rightg wing silliness about the collision.

That’s right I said silliness!

Here are some right wing excuses…..just a short rundown of stupidity…..

+ In the age of Clickbait Politics, it pays to offer an instant conspiracy theory to explain any major catastrophe. The wilder, the more profitable.

+ FoxNews’ Maria Bartiromo (the former Money Honey who people used to take financial advice from) blamed it on “wide-open borders.”

+ Marjorie Taylor Green asked: “Is this an intentional attack or accidental?”

+ Andrew Tate, from whatever dungeon he’s hooking up from these days, warned: “This ship was cyberattacked…Black Swan event imminent.”

+ CPAC’s Matt Schlapp blamed the bridge collapse on…the COVID lockdowns.

+ Republican Senator Eric Schmitt pointed his finger, inexplicably, at the “weaponization of the Justice Department.”

+ And former 60 Minutes reporter, Lara Logan, says “intelligence sources” (Mike Flynn?) told her the bridge collapse was…wait for it… a cyberattack “just like the attack on 2020 on the voting machines that you cannot see.”

+ Others, naturally, blamed DEI, the far right’s latest euphemism for the N-word.

https://www.counterpunch.org/2024/03/29/roaming-charges-114/

Now that we have seen just how stupid the right wing can be….let’s look into the real problem with this ship…..

This ship has had a history of problems…..

The mega-container ship that lost propulsion before toppling Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge in a Tuesday morning collision was involved in a previous crash, and was cited last year for propulsion-related problems.

Newsweekreported that the Maersk Line Limited-chartered MV Dali—which crashed into the Interstate 695 Patapsco River crossing just before 1:30 am, causing the span to collapse and sending a construction crew into the water—collided with a wall in the harbor at Antwerp, Belgium in 2016. The accident, which was reported by Vessel Finder and other outlets at the time, was attributed to errors made by the ship’s master and pilot.

The 9-year-old Dali was also detained by port officials in San Antonio, Chile last June after inspectors discovered a problem related to the vessel’s “propulsion and auxiliary machinery,” according toThe Washington Post, which cited records from the intergovernmental shipping regulator Tokyo MOU.

The ship’s owner, Grace Ocean Private Ltd., and operator, Synergy Marine, “have been sued at least four times in U.S. federal court on allegations of negligence and other claims tied to worker injuries on other ships owned and operated by the Singapore-based companies,” according toThe Associated Press.

Same BS, Different Day

The Theater of the Absurd continues!

Here we go again….exercising the most worthless and idiotic waste of limited Congressional time….the old ‘shutdown two-step”…..

Time is almost up—again—for Congress to provide the funding to keep government operating. Negotiators agreed Thursday on a $1.2 trillion spending bill but might not be able to get it through both houses by the Friday midnight deadline, the New York Times reports. The obstacles include burdensome congressional rules, and bending them to hurry the process might not be enough—though the bill has broad support in both chambers. With a partial shutdown possible over the weekend, White House officials implored the legislative branch on Thursday to “send this critical legislation to the president’s desk for signature without delay.” The funding would run through September.

At risk are more than half the government, including the Department of Homeland Security, the Defense Department, and health agencies. A weekend shutdown wouldn’t be catastrophic, per the Washington Post, but anything longer would cause problems. More than half of the IRS’ employees could go on furlough at an awkward time. Active-duty military personnel, Border Patrol officers, and TSA screeners would go unpaid. The first rule was set aside Thursday evening, when House Republican leaders scheduled a floor vote for Friday morning; members are supposed to have at least 72 hours to consider a bill before voting on it.

The situation in the Senate is dicier. Several GOP senators have indicated they’ll propose amendments to slow the bill down. Senate rules mean a Friday vote on the floor could quickly roll into a Sunday or a Monday vote instead. The compromise plan would hold spending on domestic programs steady but allocate more for veterans programs and the Pentagon. Foreign aid would be reduced. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on the Senate floor that it’s up to House Republican leaders to keep the bill moving. Once in place, he said, the legislation “will extinguish any more shutdown threats for the rest of the fiscal year, it will avoid the scythe of budget sequestration, and it will keep the government open without cuts or poison pill riders.”

So many problems in this country and this is what the slugs the people send to DC waste their time doing…..that and taking time off to visit with their handlers and their agents.

These types to lame ass games are killing this country….and the peasants dance.

Are we really that jaded that we think these ‘people’ work in our best interests?

I’m not!
