Do You Bow To Social Convention?

We Americans seem to always breakdown and box to social convention…….

SO……Did you do what was expected of you and bow to social convention and go pay to see the movie based on the runaway best seller, 50 Shades Of Grey?

I really do not care….but I had to have something that would be the  opening for this post……

Of course there were going to be product tie-ins to the Fifty Shades of Grey movie premiering Valentine’s weekend—and of course those products were going to veer into adults-only territory, considering the steaminess of EL James’ book trilogy on which the film is based. But the sex-toy industry is really banking on the movie to drive sales, which in turn is spurring retailers to order plenty of inventory and redesign current products to fit the Fifty Shades theme, the New York Times reports. “I would say that every single person has jumped on the bandwagon in terms of making toys around Fifty Shades,” says Sara Ramirez, a publisher at porn trade publication XBIZ. Even mainstream retailers like Target are on board, though one Oklahoma consumer complained that Fifty Shades merchandise was being sold next to kids’ dental care products, Consumerist reports.

The sale of blindfolds, whips, and other fetish-inspired items is already big business: A conservative estimate by IBISWorld puts 2013 sales of sex toys in the US at $613 million (Ramirez estimates it’s really between $1 billion and $2 billion). Experts cited by the Times note that erotic products sold like nuts after Fifty Shades came out as an e-book in 2011; IBISWorld says the debut prompted a 7.5% jump in sex toys, books, and videos in 2013. But while some companies have boosted supply orders, others are preparing more cautiously, saying they don’t want to be stuck with extra vibrators and feather-adorned handcuffs—or oversell sexual nirvana to their customers. “Using Kegel balls is not too much fun, it’s actually hard work to do it right,” the CEO of a sex-toy manufacturer tells the Times. (Whatever toys you may use, be careful when trying out this position.)

Ahhhhh…….Americans and blind consumerism……ain’t it great?

Sextortion?

I was leafing through BBC site and came across a term that I am unaware of…..SEXTORTION!  My first reaction was….”what the “f”?

Of course having a curious mind I just had to follow up on my curiosity.

This is what I read at first…….

Hundreds of thousands of men around the world are falling victim every year to a pernicious form of online crime.

It has been nicknamed “sextortion” and is a form of blackmail.

Victims are normally lured in through social media sites; the blackmailers are criminal gangs operating in countries like the Philippines.

Okay I have an idea of what it is but further investigation is needed…….

Sextortion – Last year, Miss Teen USA Cassidy Wolf became one of the nation’s most high-profile cases of “sextortion,” an increasingly common crime in which a hacker steals a person’s photos or videos (usually by hacking a computer, phone or webcam) and then demands some form of payment not to distribute them online. There are several different ways individuals can lose their private images to a hacker: an ex-partner can send shared images to a third party; the victim can be enticed or threatened into sharing them; the hacker can hijack an online account that stores these sensitive images; or the victim’s computer or mobile device can be infected by a Remote Access Trojan (RAT) that allows the attacker inside access. RATs allow the hacker to remotely enable the victim’s webcam to clandestinely capture images of them.

Let see….some hot little thing cons me into having some racy chat….then she records it and threatens to expose my dalliance unless I compensate her monetarily……that about it?

What to do…what to do?

Personally, I would get a good chuckle and tell her to knock herself out….even if I was married……why would I do that?

Simple….Kim Kardashian.  She is famous for nothing more than making a sex tape….it is worth a try.  I could use a few bucks more and I would call the National Enquirer myself….save her the charge.

You want to stop this sort of thing….then my answer….do not do it….you moron!

To Be Young (Again)

Remember what you were doing when you were 17?  I was thinking about asking that special gal out for the first time….and that was making me extremely nervous…..I was working making about 75 cents an hour and trying to get through school…….but there was something about her that made me think of her all the time…..

A 17-year-old girl was charged with organizing a prostitution ring at two Florida high schools. Police say she pimped out a 15-year-old girl to a client for $40 and a bottle of liquor so a 21-year-old could have sex with the underage student.

Sarasota High School student Alexa Nicole De Armas was arrested Friday and charged with human trafficking of a person younger than 18, a felony. John Michael Mosher, 21, was also arrested, and charged with sexual battery on a minor, WWSB reported. Police told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune that one more person would be arrested Tuesday.

Just scary what life has become in the ba-zillion years since I was 17……my biggest problem was trying to think of a way to get her into the back seat…….never considered in going into business for myself….

Recreational Sex?

Finally the weekend has arrived….a time to let the brain rest and recover from all the events of the past week…….there is only so much we can cram into the deep recesses of the mind before it wants to shut down and go into hibernation mode…….

As my tradition I try to find stuff that I would not normal post on during the week……this Saturday I want to talk about SEX…….

In my younger days I was the manager of a bar and in those days most of my sex was recreational….not bragging just stating the truth…….I could tell you some tales but that is not why I am writing this…….

One of the co-inventors of the birth control pill is impregnating the Internet with a new theory: that his own invention will be pretty much obsolete by the year 2050 and that sex will be reserved for recreational, rather than procreational, purposes. In an interview with the Telegraph, Austrian-American chemist Carl Djerassi says that as fertility treatments improve, more people will take advantage of them and save in-bedroom antics for fun only. Predictions from his interview:

  • Advances in IVF will mean that even people who aren’t having fertility problems will give it a whirl, with potential future parents becoming part of a new “mañana generation” that puts off reproduction until they’re good and ready.
  • Delaying parenthood this way may result in healthier babies overall, since people will ostensibly freeze their eggs and sperm at a younger age and then get sterilized.
  • “Women in their twenties will first choose this approach as insurance, providing them with freedom in the light of professional decisions or the absence of the right partner or the inexorabl[e] ticking of the biological clock,” Djerassi says. But what will eventually lure them to IVF pregnancies: more accurate genetic screening.
  • Although Djerassi doesn’t believe a male contraceptive pill is forthcoming (it would take too many years to study the effects on sperm, he says), he thinks our armed forces would be perfect guinea pigs for testing how long frozen sperm can last. “With little difficulty and relatively minor expenditure, tens of thousands of volunteers could collect their own semen to be cryopreserved for many years,” he says.
  • Fighting over abortion will be a distant memory: Unwanted pregnancies just won’t happen anymore.

Mommy, Where Did My ‘Winkie” Come From?

It is Sunday and I most admit it has been a long week…..but I did take the time to check out some scientific research papers.

I found one that was just interesting to the point that I had to share it with my readers…….

Kids are always looking for answers to their world around them….and their fascination with different things is just amazing……so when I read this study I knew I had to post it…..

Most guys probably don’t sit around the locker room pondering the finer points of how the male penis evolved, so leave this one to Harvard researchers: The mystery is solved thanks to … lizard limbs. Yup, Harvard scientists investigating the origin of external genitalia have found a link relating to the development of limbs in a variety of animals. Scientists initially hoped to discover why snakes didn’t grow limbs, the Boston Globe reports. But they instead found that embryonic cells—which produce hind limbs in lizards, limb buds in snakes, and “tail-bud” tissue in mammals—form genitalia with a signal from something called a cloaca. As Discovery reports, cloaca is “tissue that eventually develops into the urinary and gut tracts.” When they transplanted a cloaca onto hind limb cells in a chicken embryo, eureka—genital-like buds formed.

“It demonstrates that there is a flexibility with what kind of cells can get recruited during development to form genitalia,” the lead author tells the BBC of his research in Nature. He says the link may help explain why “babies that are born with malformations in their limbs often also have malformations in their genitalia.” While snakes and lizards have two penises, “it appears that the way all amniotes, including reptiles, birds, and mammals, build their genitalia is very similar,” a researcher says. The Globe adds that external genitalia developed when animals moved from sea to land, rendering water-borne fertilization obsolete. (Another study finds sex is 385 million years old.)

Perversion Made Legal

A couple of years ago I wrote a piece about a local phenom, more like a perversion, that was made legal by a local court in Mass…..that perversion was the need to snap up skirt shots of women in public places.  Back then I question the need for this perversion to be defined…..well it seems that it went through the court system and has been upheld again…….for now a person can stand in a prime location and snap pics up the skirts of passing women….I know….I know….WTF?

A Virginia man caught taking photos of women’s “private areas” on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial was doing something “repellant and disturbing”—but not illegal, says a female judge in Virginia. DC Superior Court Judge Juliet McKenna dismissed voyeur charges against Christopher Cleveland of Springfield, Va., who got stopped by US Park Police last year after they spotted him taking photos of women on the steps above him, reports WJLA-TV. Officers found scores of photos of women’s crotches and buttocks on his camera and computer, but the judge said that they weren’t illegal and that officers had no authority to search his camera, reports the Washington Post.

“This Court finds that no individual clothed and positioned in such a manner in a public area in broad daylight in the presence of countless other individuals could have a reasonable expectation of privacy,” wrote McKenna. What’s more, “there is no evidence Mr. Cleveland positioned his camera in any way or employed photographic techniques or illumination, so as to capture images that were not already on public display.” In other words: creepy but not criminal. A subway rider in Massachusetts was let off the hook on similar charges.

Is it just me or is this just legalizing creepy behavior?  Or is it just creepy that the courts are basically condoning this perversion?

A Contraceptive Way of Life

Saturday and I am free of the conflicts in the Middle East….well for two days anyway……it is a mid-term election approaching and I thought I would focus on one of mthe issues that is snaking its way through the political discourse….Contraception!

The first part of this post is about man’s best friend…no not a dog….a condom.

It seems there is a problem concerning condoms in Uganda……

Ugandan MPs have been inundated with complaints that many condoms on sale in the east African nation are too small, warning the problem is a blow to the fight against AIDS.

Insisting that one size doesn’t fit all, MP Tom Aza said Uganda’s Parliamentary Committee for HIV/AIDS said a recent tour of areas worst hit by the virus revealed that some men “have bigger sexual organs and therefore should be considered for bigger condoms.”

Okay there are a couple of thoughts that come to mind…….1)  Condoms come in sizes?  2) this info could increase the tourism visas the country issues.  Guess that could fortify the old stereo type huh?

With all that said I will not forget the ladies in this post……everyone is looking for that perfect birth control…..some are desperate to find that perfection……….and I read a story that may not be that perfect……….

A 22-year-old Colombia woman who went to the doctor with abdominal pains turned out to have a potato growing in her vagina—because she’d put it there as contraception, says Colombia Reports via Metro. “My mom told me that if I didn’t want to get pregnant, I should put a potato up there, and I believed her,” the woman was quoted as telling a local website. The embarrassed patient, from the central Colombian town of Honda, says she had inserted the potato about two weeks before the pain struck in her lower abdomen. Upon closer inspection, attending nurse Carolina Rojas found potato roots sticking out of the woman’s vagina and even growing inside her.

Luckily the potato was removed without surgery, and medical staff predicted no long-term physical effects, but Rojas blamed the mother for giving her daughter such bad advice. The story is part of an ongoing battle over birth control and sex education in Colombia, where activists say a macho culture and disinterest in common birth control methods have led to high teen pregnancy rates. Indeed, sex ed classes introduced in the 1990s inspired some parents to start groups opposing the lessons. But Colombia isn’t alone in trying odd birth-control methods, the Huffington Post reports: A survey of young British woman found that some used plastic wrap, latex gloves, and sandwich bags.

Best I could think of in this case was…..EEEWWWWWWWWWWW!

Now this part is not about contraception but it is too good to pass on….remember all those enhancement drugs tell you to seek medical help if the erection last for more than 4 hours………but this guy took it a bit further…….

Last Friday, Jason Garnett greeted a new day, as many men do, with an erection. But 17 hours later, doctors were stabbing the British man’s penis with needles in order to end his member’s persistent salute, UPI reports. The 23-year-old North Yorkshire man didn’t worry when his erection stuck around the morning after a night of love-making, reports Northern Echo. He changed his tune around lunch time and tried to tame it with an ice bath and a jog, but after a stiff eight hours, he finally asked his roommate for help. “You should have seen the look on his face … he was in hysterics at first, but then he realized how serious the situation was,” Garnett says, according to Huffington Post.

Garnett’s erection wasn’t a blessing, but a serious medical condition called priapism. The rare malady has nothing to do with arousal or desire and can cause permanent damage if left untreated, reports News.com.au. The “most embarrassing day” of Garnett’s life got worse when doctors drew two pints of blood from his penis and injected it 24 times with erection-reducing meds. “Seeing them stab my penis with a needle was … like something out of a horror film. The pain was a 10 out of 10,” he says. Garnett says his penis now “looks like it’s been through a war. Sex Is Where You Find It

It is no secret that I am a history buff……since it is the start of my weekend I think I will dedicate it to historical stuff…….when I was traveling I got to go to the ruins in Pompeii…..a very interesting tour by the way……I especially was fascinated by the erotic graffiti that was found in the ruins…..I have also seen what some call the Porno Scroll, a piece of Egyptian papyrus with some explicit drawings……I bring all this up because of a report I read last week……..

Think phallic graffiti art exclusively belongs to the baseless present? Think again. An archaeologist has uncovered what the Guardian touts as the earliest erotic graffiti on the planet, found in Greece—and predating, in one case, even Athens’ Acropolis. Since 2011, Dr. Andreas Vlachopoulos has been directing fieldwork on the Aegean island of Astypalaia, and the professor may have given the students working with him a little more insight than he’d at first intended when he happened upon extremely explicit erotica chiseled into the limestone rocks that line the cape. In one instance, dating back to 5th century BC, two gigantic penises are etched next to the name Dion; in another, dating to 6th century BC, one man boasted: “Nikasitimos was here mounting Timiona.”

“We know that in ancient Greece sexual desire between men was not a taboo,” Vlachopoulos tells the Guardian. “But this graffiti … is not just among the earliest ever discovered. By using the verb in the past continuous [tense], it clearly says that these two men were making love over a long period of time, emphasizing the sexual act in a way that is highly unusual in erotic artwork.” One theory is that soldiers were once stationed at this outpost overlooking the bay; other carvings include that of ships, daggers, and wave-symbolizing spirals. Either way Astypalaia, best known for what Archaeology International called “the largest ancient children’s cemetery in the world,” with at least 2,700 infant burials identified in one place, can now add ancient porn among its claims to fame. (Meanwhile, in Italy, art restorers have been accused of scrubbing away the erotic…)

When Did Rape Become Popular?

One of the consequences of war is rape……there seems little we can do about it….but recently there seems to be an outbreak of rapes for the sake of rape…..there seems to be a growing sickness in this world….I mean there is always a report off and on about this person being raped, usually during some time of turmoil……but today it seems to be just the “thing to do”…….

Recently in India there was a gang rape and the world was shocked and then there was the report of a rape and killing……cousins in the north of India had been raped killed and hung from a tree….sick right?  The crime were committed by men from the higher caste in the region and the girls were from a lower caste……the police chief in the area said that rape is a trivial case and should not be overblown by the media….How sick is that?

Yesterday I read a report about Egypt and the election they just had……..

As crowds in Cairo’s Tahrir Square yesterday celebrated the election victory of Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, things turned ugly: Mobs sexually assaulted at least five women, CNN reports. Graphic video of one attack shows a woman stripped and bloodied, facing continued attacks even as police take her to their vehicle. Seven men have been arrested following the video’s appearance online, al Arabiya reports. A security official tells AFP the victim was a 19-year-old student. Those arrested were also accused of three additional cases of sexual harassment. The news comes days after Egypt’s outgoing president outlawed sexual harassment in the country for the first time, CNN notes.

The attacks have prompted an outcry, not least from the “I Saw Harassment” campaign tracking sexual violence in the country: “It is shameful that the security leaders of the Ministry of Interior did not take into account any security measures or plans to prevent such incidents,” the campaign says in a statement. Local media is also under fire; one reporter describing harassment on the scene apologized after remarking, “They are happy, huh?” Such an amused response isn’t unusual, the New York Times reports, and mob assaults aren’t new in Tahrir Square (CBS reporter Lara Logan was assaulted in 2011). A state-affiliated group, the National Council of Women, blames a conspiracy of “unknown entities” aiming to “taint the image of (Egypt’s) democratic celebration.”

The world seems to have gone rape happy…….we can thank God that the US is being spared from this insanity……….or have we?

There might be a reason that college sexual assaults make the news more often these days. A new Department of Education report has found that reports of “forcible” campus sexual assaults shot up 50% between 2001 and 2011, jumping from 2,200 to 3,300, Time reports. At the same time, every other category of college crime decreased. The numbers mean that 2.2 out of every 10,000 college students in 2011 reported an assault, Business Insider points out.

Still, the spike doesn’t necessarily mean that more assaults are occurring; it might just mean that victims have become more comfortable coming forward. “It’s a good thing that more victims are reporting,” one advocate told NPR in response to a similar finding in April. “For far too long, they’ve been left on their own. And now they’re getting the help they need.”

It seems hat the whole world has gone rape happy…..a truly disgusting trend……..and now it has spread to Pakistan, that lovely country that had a young girl shot in the face for wanting an education….great bunch of people……and now a gang rape and death……..

Police are investigating yet another gang rape and hanging of a young woman, this time in Pakistan instead of India. Authorities in the Punjab province area of Layyah say 20-year-old Muzammil Bibi was assaulted by three men in a field, reports Reuters. Her parents found her body hanging from a tree the next morning, and, based on her injuries, police think she fought back against her rapists. Three men have confessed, say police. “This is the first time in my 22 years of service in the police that I have seen such a case, where a girl was raped in this way and found hanging from a tree,” says a senior officer.

The case bears a resemblance to the gang rape and hanging of two teen cousins in India in May, which was followed by two similar attacks in that country. It also follows attacks in Pakistan in which a pregnant woman was stoned to death and another woman was shot and thrown in a canal. Family members are blamed in the latter two. Violence against women in the region is so prevalent that it barely registers as a crime, one rights activist tells India’s Zee News. “It is a mindset that has to change.”

These are just a few of the cases of rape…..but they point to a disturbing trend……..what the Hell is this world becoming?

I realize that we live in a 24 hour news cycle and organizations need to fill all their airtime and rape is becoming reported than in the past……..but why is rape so popular?  If that is the best word to use……..

 

 

 

World Cup Best Celebration?

For if you are one of all but a handful of people that are unaware that the World Cup is going on……….it is and the US is still alive but they have a powerhouse coming up next week, Germany……..

Last World Cup I reported on what a Dutch porn star was doing to celebrate their wins…….and now with this World Cup there is another person willing to have sex for each win…….

Are you wondering why Chile is going so bonkers at the World Cup? Fans flocked to Brazil by the thousands, even though they didn’t have tickets. They stormed the stadium fences prior to today’s win over Spain, and were arrested by the dozens.

Seems that they’ve been worked up by one of the country’s biggest porn stars: Marlen Doll (above). Ms. Doll, in a moment of brilliant strategy, promised to engage select Chilean residents in an eight-hour “sex marathon” if her country defeated Australia in its first World Cup match. That of course happened, and she, reportedly, made good on the promise, even increasing the duration to 12 hours.

Soccer fans re just so much better at celebrating than say Baseball fans……makes you want to be more of a fan….for oh so many reasons…….
