It Makes A Comeback

Keeping with the weekend’s topic….SEX.  Many of history’s notables have died from a historically reoccurring disease…….Columbus, Capone, some say Pasteur….and No one is sure where it originated…..some say in monkeys and others are convinced with sheep……..whatever….it is making a comeback…….

Syphilis cases are rising sharply in the US, especially among gay and bisexual men, reports the CDC. The highest rates were among black men, but white and Hispanic men also saw noticeable increases, reports Reuters. From 2005 to 2013, the number of syphilis cases nearly doubled from 8,724 to 16,663, and 91% of those cases occurred among men in 2013. Over that same stretch, the annual rate rose from 2.9 to 5.3 cases per 100,000 people, reports NBC News.

“After being on the verge of elimination in 2000 in the United States, syphilis cases have rebounded,” says the CDC report. Researchers warn that the increase among gay men is worrisome because it suggests unsafe sex practices that could also spread HIV. The CDC recommends that men who have sex with anonymous or multiple partners get screened for syphilis at least once every six months. While rarely fatal, the disease can lead to blindness and stroke.

It looks like there is only one relatively safe form of sex…..if you want to avoid herpes or the clap or HIV and now syphilis…….the only safe form is……Phone sex!  Where’s the fun in that?  That gives a whole new definition of….oral sex……..

But this disease is NOT alone…..making a comeback are polio, TB, Measles………and others……….what could cause this resurgence of disease?

Surely someone would like to weigh in about here.

The More Noisy The Better?

It is the weekend and let’s talk about mankind’s favorite past time……SEX!  They may not admit it but everyone likes sex…..what’s the old saying…..”sex is dirty only if you are doing it right”.

most of us have had a noisy partner at some point in our life…..but there can be consequences for too much noise……….

There’s a noisy romp between the sheets and then there’s sex so loud it’s considered “stalking” your neighbors. That was the charge an Italian man apparently faced in court, after a dozen of his neighbors filed a civil suit complaining of his loud lovemaking sessions. They took issue with “screams and moans” that “disturbed the peace in the condominium and the building’s decorum,” the Local reports. Some translations of the local report on the case, like this one from the New York Daily News, indicate it was actually his girlfriend’s screams that those in the building found so offensive.

The 42-year-old reportedly tried to convince the judge that “stalking” and “noise” weren’t the same thing, and apparently claimed that he can’t help that he’s “too good at sex.” But for all his (noisy?) protestations, he ended up with a six-month jail sentence, which he plans to appeal. Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time noisy sex has resulted in a conviction. (Nor is it the only unusual sex-related case to be heard in Italian courts recently.)

Personally I think that is a bit extreme and here in the US could be considered……cruel and unusual punishment……

Remember back in your youth when they use to say….”he is thinking with the little head”?  Well there seems to be some evidence that brains are wired for sex……..

UCLA researchers say they’ve got the first physical evidence to support the notion that some people’s brains are wired for sex, reports the Los Angeles Daily News. In the study, they asked men and women how many sexual partners they’ve had, and they also showed them images that ranged from non-sexual to slightly sexual (like kissing) to explicitly sexual. The more partners a person had, the more likely their brains were to light up on EEGs when looking at those last two categories, reports Medical Xpress.

The researchers weren’t surprised that their subjects reacted to graphic images, but they were intrigued to find the correlation with the G-rated images, too. “If your brain responds very strongly even to very tame pictures of sex, then you seem to be easily sexually excited in the real world, too,” says lead researcher Nicole Prause. The results could help those naturally inclined toward the risque to be safer, she says, as per Time. “Being aware that if you are going out, and there is the possibility of having a new partner, and thinking about ways to not get too excited may sound silly, but managing that rather than ignoring it may help with better ways to control risky sexual behavior.” (Click to read about a recent survey finding that 17% of us would be OK having sex with a robot.)

Some thoughts?

When The Urge Strikes

Keeping with the theme of the day……SEX…we all have our preferences….and we all have a story about that urge that comes over you at the most inopportune times……but I can safely say that this one NEVER crossed my mind……

I found this story while reading the International Business Times…….

A man was caught on CCTV having sex with a store mannequin after breaking into a shopping mall in Brazil.

Security guards discovered the thief committing the bizarre crime while trawling through CCTV footage following a break-in at the centre in Jaragua, southern Brazil.

The clip shows the unidentified robber propping a headless female mannequin against the wall of a corridor and kissing the dummy’s breasts before carrying out a sex act. He is then seen stealing some clothes.

Ricardo Carvalho, manager of the shopping centre, described the incident as ‘strange’.

“It was a strange thing, without rhyme or reason,” he told the Folha De Jaragua newspaper. “If such an individual is capable of committing an act like this, imagine if he broke into a house? He could do the same with a helpless person.”

The offender was arrested after he returned to the store and was recognised by staff. He admitted to police that he broke into the shopping centre because he had “nothing else to do” but refused to comment on his sex act.

He is said to have sold the stolen goods to fund his drug habit.

I think this dude needs to find another outlet for his sexual urges…..how about you?

Probably Not The Best Decision

After two days of legal cluster f*cks it’s Finally the weekend and I can concentrate on something that is more fun than my usual stuff…..enjoy…….

We all make various decisions throughout our lifetimes….some pretty good and then there are those that were probably not our best decisions……..one of my worse decisions was dating a broad that I knew was trouble…..but I started thinking with my little head and it proved to be one of more my most disastrous ones……

Speaking of thinking with that little head….that one situation has caused more problems and disasters than any other type of thinking……and this couple are living proof….(well that may not be the best description)……

A Pennsylvania couple apparently overcome by passion made the fatal mistake of leaving the engine running after they pulled into a Williamsport garage and had sex in their car, police say. The bodies of the partially clad couple, both 40 years old, were found inside the vehicle, which had run out of gas but had the ignition switch still on, reports the Patriot-News. A kerosene heater was also on and there were very high levels of carbon monoxide in the garage. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also found in the car and it appears Keith Payton and Salina Johnson may have been using drugs at the time, the coroner tells WNEP. They were pronounced dead Friday night, but likely died earlier; police say Payton was supposed to drop something off at the garage for his brother on Thursday. They weren’t the only couple to die at the hands of carbon monoxide in recent days. The AP reports that a Utah couple died while cleaning carpets on Saturday. Maria Lopez-Landaverde, 37, and Joselito Solorzano, 43, ran a carpet cleaning business, and left their van running in a shut garage while tending to a West Jordan home. Police cited a lack of ventilation in the home.

Fortunately for me….my bad decision did not end up as disastrous as this one…..

The Vacu-Suck!

The weekend and I attempt to bring a little humor and enlightenment into my readers lives…..I remember back in the days when an instrument of sexual pleasure was sold as the Swedish Penis Pump….and then in the early days of the 21st century the Penis Pump became the Vacu-Pump….same product but with a new ad campaign….I know….what the Hell am I going on about?  Right?

On the surface this is NOT a big deal…but that is only on the surface.

Just stay with me a few more moments…..and the government spends a lot of wasted cash on superfluous things…..crap they right off on MediCare or MedicAid………but this is beyond moronic and just chaps my butt…….

Newser) – Between 2006 and 2011, Medicare spent $172 million on penis pumps, according to a report out yesterday by the inspector general for the Department of Health and Human Services. That figure is outrageous for a reason other than that you might think. As NBC News reports, penis pumps, more properly known as vacuum erection systems, are actually one of the “few viable treatment courses” for men with erectile dysfunction, per the National Institutes of Health. So it’s not the coverage of the item for some 474,000 men over those six years that’s the problem, but the amount that was spent: Each claim cost Medicare an average $361—more than double what the pump would have cost if the user just bought it online. (And OIG verified this by … Googling. It reports that “research on 22 different Web sites yielded pricing information for 105 VES … the average Internet price … was $164.74.”)

And if Medicare had adjusted its “grossly excessive” coverage amount to be in line with what a non-Medicare consumer pays (and, the report noted, what the Department of Veterans Affairs pays), the government would have spent an average of $14.4 million less per year for each of the years under review, reports Reuters. And the savings wouldn’t end there. Beneficiaries are responsible for 20% of the cost of the pump, plus any unmet deductible, which worked out to an average $90; a Medicare fee adjustment would have saved them roughly $3.6 million a year. It could have come to pass, had the issue been dealt with when it previously came up—in 1999, when the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services suggested changing the VES fee schedule, reports the Washington Free Beacon.

Now, if you can, justify this for me….please.

Birth Control In The Biblical Sense

I will break protocol today and post on religion….I do not debate or post on religion because it is an emotional issue that people can only think with their heart…..am I religious?  I guess…I have my beliefs and they are just that….MY BELIEFS!  And you have yours and personally I do not care what you believe.

In recent days I have read a couple of articles dealing with religion that I thought worthy of my attention and think that my readers may appreciate them….

There is a massive debate, if we can call it that, going on in this country about abortion and birth control….some say that birth control is immoral and we know what they say about abortions now don’t we?

It seems that there is a reference in the Bible on birth control….or shall we call it contraception?

(Newser) – If there’s one thing we’ve learned from all the controversy surrounding ObamaCare, it’s that the Bible is against birth control—right? Actually, not so much, writes Elissa Strauss in Salon. In truth, the Bible makes “both direct references and thinly veiled allusions to women using contraception.” Consider Esther, who became queen after marrying the Persian King Ahasuerus and ended up saving the Jews from a plot to have them killed. She, and all of the king’s potential wives, were required to anoint themselves with myrrh oil for a year. That’s a long time if it was just being used as a beauty treatment, but it was also used as an abortifacient and contraceptive at the time, suggesting its use may have “allowed Esther, who wielded power through her beauty and ability to seduce, to take control of her reproductive system.”

Similarly, the “long, sexy, romantic poem” contained in the Song of Songs makes many references to gardens, which some have argued could be a reference to myrrh and other plants that were used as contraceptives. It certainly seems the couple in the song is having sex for enjoyment, rather than to “be fruitful and multiply,” Strauss points out. Then there’s the ritual described in Numbers, in which a man is allowed to administer an abortifacient concoction to his wife if he suspects she’s been unfaithful. Even the story of Onan, who was punished for “spilling his seed on the ground,” is misinterpreted—God was angry he didn’t carry out his duty to his brother’s widow, not that he wasted his sperm, according to many biblical commentators. Strauss’ full column is worth a read.

Okay, if one is the religious sort I amy sure this will get their attention and invoke their ire…..

SEX!

I am a proponent of the legalization of prostitution…….come on we men are gonna have sex……and the oldest profession should be legal.  But we Americans are so prudish that we want to control the whole process of screwing….from control or outlawing contraception to making ads more “descent” (whatever that means)……the word obscene is a word that means different things to different people….to me a 300 lb man or woman in a string bikini is the most obscene thing I can think of, at this point in my life…..but we have governments in the states that want to control the whole process of sex…..to them I say…..BITE ME!

After living in Europe I can say that we Americans are dinosaurs when it come to sexuality……

(Newser) – An outsider looking at US law could be forgiven for coming to the conclusion that Americans hate sex. As Rutgers professor Margo Kaplan writes in the Washington Post, judges and politicians “are still strangely squeamish about sexual pleasure” when it comes to legislation. They hold their noses and use terms such as the “physical act” to describe sex, often treating it as an immoral, “joyless,” and downright disgusting behavior. At best, in the eyes of the law, it’s OK during marriage when used for procreation or marital bonding. But pleasure? Forget it.

“Real progress toward sexual freedom would involve courts and legislatures recognizing that there’s value in sexual pleasure,” writes Kaplan. “And that would force judges and politicians to rethink the logic of various laws.” In an age of Fifty Shades of Grey, we still have laws on the books against consensual spanking and sex toys? And “obscenity” gets less constitutional protection than racist speech? It’s time for “more informed discussions” about life in the bedroom, writes Kaplan. “I’d like to think that courts, legislatures and voters are up to the challenge. So, let’s talk about sex.” Click for her full column.

What more can I say….I AGREE!

But there is one thing….one channel has a new shoe, reality, of course, about 2 couple dropped off naked into the wilderness….they are completely naked but the show has everything blurred out…now how many men would turn to this show if it were not blurred out?  Or why make a reality show that is that censored?

So, yes….our society is still way too prudish and puritanical……..

Surely, there are thoughts out there……let ’em fly, my friends, let ’em fly……

Teacher Oh Teacher

Whatcha say that we move on for a couple of days……..

Last week before the world went batshit crazy over the Syria story I read an article abgout a teacher that has sex with a student….I know this is nothing new….there seems to be a teacher a month that cannot keep his/her hands off the students….but this one is just crazy…..

(Newser) – A Montana teacher found guilty of raping a troubled 14-year-old girl who later committed suicide will spend just 30 days in jail because the judge decided the girl was “older than her chronological age” and “was as much in control of the situation” as her teacher. After the girl’s suicide just before her 17th birthday made the case hard to prosecute, teacher Stacey Dean Rambold, 54, entered a deferred prosecution agreement—which he violated by missing sex offender treatment meetings and having unsupervised visits with minors, the Billings Gazette reports.

Rambold—who had previously been warned to avoid touching female students—targeted the troubled girl and violated his position of trust by beginning a sexual relationship with her, said prosecutors, who asked for a sentence of at least 20 years, with 10 suspended. His defense argued that he had already been punished enough by the loss of his career and his marriage. The girl’s mother, who testified that the relationship with Rambold was a “major factor” in her daughter’s suicide, screamed “You people suck!” after the sentence was announced.

Crazy right?  Oh but wait…there is so much more…….

(Newser) – And the honors for most provocative op-ed go to former lawyer Betsy Karasik, who argues in the Washington Post that the nation must curb its “utter hysteria” over cases involving teachers having sex with underage students: “I don’t believe that all sexual conduct between underage students and teachers should necessarily be classified as rape,” she writes, “and I believe that absent extenuating circumstances, consensual sexual activity between teachers and students should not be criminalized.” She writes that she’s not trying to defend the Montana judge under fire for his comments about a 14-year-old victim being “older than her chronological years,” but that “tarring and feathering him for attempting to articulate the context that informed his sentence will not advance this much-needed dialogue.”

Karasik does think teachers who have sex with students should be removed from their jobs at least until rehab is complete, but she also says there is “a vast and extremely nuanced continuum of sexual interactions involving teachers and students, ranging from flirtation to mutual lust to harassment to predatory behavior.” Automatic criminal proceedings that traumatize the students involved may be doing more harm than good. Click for her full column, which makes reference to a related observation from Louis CK.

Bet you thought that it was over, right?  Tee hee!

(Newser) – Looks like Montana’s Judge Todd Baugh might be better suited to a career that doesn’t involve sentencing people. After apologizing and calling himself a “blithering idiot” for remarks he made when sentencing a teacher to just 30 days for raping a 14-year-old student, Baugh has ordered a new hearing after admitting that he believes he misread state law and the teacher should have been sentenced to a minimum of two years, the Missoulian reports.

Baugh—whose remarks sparked protests and demands that he step down—says his error means the 30 days he gave 54-year-old Stacey Rambold “would be an illegal sentence,” reports NBC. The county attorney says Baugh’s order is an “unusual occurrence” and he has been working to determine whether the case can be appealed to the state’s Supreme Court. The mother of Rambold’s victim, who committed suicide before the case could go to trial, has refused to accept the judge’s apology.

Just wanted to pass this on to me peeps…it is the week end and I will take a break from crazy….well political crazy…..

R-E-S-P-E-C-T!

Can you hear Aretha belting out this tune?

Okay moving on!  I suppose that most everyone has heard all the hoopla about the mayor of San Diego…..all the women this perv has hit on and such…….a disgusting situation in the vain of Vitter, Weiner and Ensign…….people in power using their station to prey on women……not everybody is cool with his issues…..

(Newser) – In a move that might force you to give it some respect, Hooters has decided not to serve scandalized San Diego Mayor Bob Filner. The executive director of the San Diego Republican Party was the first to publicize the news, tweeting out a picture of a sign in one Hooters window reading:

  • “This establishment recognizes that we all have political differences and we serve people from all walks of life. We also believe it is imperative for people to have standards. The mayor of San Diego will not be served in this establishment. We believe women should be treated with respect.”

BuzzFeed has pictures of the same sign appearing in another restaurant, and the word from Hooters’ official Twitter account is: “Our Hooters Girls in San Diego have spoken. Not a corporate gig, but we support our girls.” Oddest twist: It looks like the campaign originated with Glenn Beck, who last week presented the sign, which he says he created, on his show, notes the Blaze. “I think this sign should be in every establishment in San Diego,” he said.

The mayor, who still refuses to resign despite allegations of sexual harassment from at least 14 women, yesterday responded to the attempt to recall him from office, saying that “now is not the time to go backwards.” But things are looking even worse for him, reports CNN, with a city councilman asking him to explain more than $500 in charges to his official city credit card. The charges are from the Westgate Hotel, which is across the street from the mayor’s office, and regulars at the hotel bar say Filner was often there with various women. The city councilman points out that the card also includes charges from an online reputation-management firm ($3,000), a trip to Paris ($30,000), and a juicer ($128).

I think it is a great idea for businesses to get involved with dealing with the perv……….but (there is always a but)………a company that forces its employees to wear Daisy Duke’s and a t-shirt that is about 4 sizes too small should not use “treating women with respect” as a reason for not wanting the mayor in their stores……..

I do not see anything respectful about the attire they must wear to hold a job…….not saying I do not appreciate it….just that it is the furthest thing from respectful…….thoughts?

Is It Really An Addiction?

There are many addictions….like drugs, booze adrenalin and of course that addiction that all men love to hear about….SEX ADDICTION!

It is fought with many different solutions….therapy, hypnosis, drugs (but that could create a whole new set of addictions) and just go about screwing your brains out…..every man looks for that perfect nymphomaniac to keep him smiling for a long time…..but there is a new study and research that may shine some light onto the subject…….

(Newser) – The term “sex addiction” might get tossed around a lot these days as a way to explain some not-so-classy behavior of the Anthony Weiner-Tiger Woods variety, but is it really an addiction on par with drugs or alcohol? The first study to explore brain responses in people who describe themselves as hypersexual suggests otherwise, reports UCLA. Researchers there showed the subjects—39 men and 13 women—sexual images, and discovered that their brains didn’t respond in the same way that, say, a cocaine addict would respond to images of cocaine.

“Most people describe high-frequency sexual problems as an ‘addiction’—that’s how the public and even many clinicians talk about it,” one of the researchers tells Slate. “But this data challenges the addiction model and forces us to reconsider how we think and talk about these problems.” The subjects have higher libidos, or sexual desire, but not necessarily a clinical medical problem. They still need help, but if further studies verify this first one, then the type of help they’ll get will be affected. All of which might be OK, writes Jillian Keenan at Slate. “If we turn every single quirk of human sexuality into a ‘disease,’ after all, then we’re all screwed.” The study is in the journal Socioaffective Neuroscience & Psychology.

Now I know my loyal readers will an opinion on this turn of events……speak up!
