The big story….not that the media wants to report it……is those 28 pages of the 9/11 investigation…..the story is that there is a debate on whether the American people should know the extent that the Saudis may have been involved in the attacks on that fateful day.
The question is…..should the American people know the whole story? Should there be total transparency?
A member of the original investigation team has voiced his opinion…..
A member of the official commission that investigated the 9/11 attacks is ratcheting up pressure on the White House to make public 28 pages of a congressional report dealing with suspected Saudi involvement. In an interview with the Guardian, former Navy secretary John Lehman lays it out in blunt terms: “There was an awful lot of participation by Saudi individuals in supporting the hijackers, and some of those people worked in the Saudi government,” he says. “Our report should never have been read as an exoneration of Saudi Arabia.” Lehman adds that he’s not implicating members of the Saudi royal family or top civilian officials, but rather lower-echelon employees, perhaps in the Saudi ministry of Islamic affairs.
Last month, the leaders of the commission—former GOP Gov. Tom Kean of New Jersey and former Democratic congressman Lee Hamilton of Indiana—cautioned against releasing the 28 pages and noted that just one Saudi official had been implicated in the plot. (That was diplomat Fahad al-Thumairy, who was deported and remains a “person of interest,” notes the New York Times.) But Lehman says he knows of at least five other Saudi employees who were under suspicion. “They may not have been indicted, but they were certainly implicated,” he says. “There was an awful lot of circumstantial evidence.”
What say you? Should we know the full extent of any participation by the Saudis in that horrendous attack? Or should we just forget it because they are a valued “buddy”?

Whatever the truth is, it must come out!
To lie and keep on lying is an insult to those effected of it and often still are.
To those that died in the (often unlawfully) actions taken by those in Government
And I mean everybody, those in the twin-towers, in the plane, those in the pentagon, those that years later suffer health problems because of the fact that they did their work on that spot.
But also the soldiers send out to war, fueled by the lies of their President, the torture and violation of every human right possible.
Those threatened because of the President’s credo: If you are not for us, your against us.
The sacrifice of freedom, through to much unfounded fear, sacrifice of personal space and privacy.
“The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is.”
Winston Churchill
I am a firm believer in telling the people the truth no matter how it looks….chuq
This promises to be a Gulf of Tonkin 2: Electric Boogaloo
For over 15 years, America has been at war on a faulty premise with the truth buried. Trillions of dollars & millions of lives ruined…and for what? Getting America stuck in civil wars around the world?
Bad intel has made us do damn stupid stuff…and it will not stop.
Bad Intel? That’s an understatement. More like “a complete lack of any intelligence whatsoever”. And I ain’t talking about spying. I’m talking about the cottage cheese in their skulls. It’s primarily used to generate devious/illegal plans and to power their enormous hero-complexes.
In this case (and almost every case.), we are forced to guess. Apparently, we don’t deserve the truth. However, it’s pretty obvious that the ironically named “intelligence community” (despite being over-invasive yet STILL incompetent) was able to figure out that America’s “great friend” helped the 9/11 attack succeed…if not outright planned it. And I’m sure America’s spooks knew at least knew some of this advance. (See: Osama Determined to Attack America Using Planes) It’s probably all in the report….the report we’ll never, ever, get to see. Certainly for as long as we’re hooked on oil, probably even longer.
Because we aren’t allowed to know anything…For all we know, Osama’s crew just hatched the concept and Saudi elements implemented it. Considering America decided to spend trillions attacking 2 nations whose governments had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with 9/11 (one an actual enemy of the group that supposedly did it), it would be REALLY SWELL if we got to know at least some of the actual truth…before everyone alive at the time dies of old age.
