America: I Do Not Like Where This Is Going

The newest political football is the refugees and all related items…..there is some statements that smack with historical context and yet supporters will not see the un-American activities and games being played.  The refugees are the latest complex issue to be turned into a politicized mess to gain support from the mentally slow.

Personally, I do not like what is going on in this country…..Trump has gone a bit far…in my book……

Donald Trump went on MSNBC Monday to discuss issues related to the Paris terror attacks and ISIS, and he had some controversial ideas about steps he might take as president. “Well, I would hate to do it but it’s something you’re going to have to strongly consider,” Trump said when asked whether he would consider a plan similar to France’s interior minister’s promise to shut down “mosques where hate is preached,” CNN reports. Trump continued, “Some of the ideas and some of the absolute hatred is coming from these areas … The hatred is incredible. It’s embedded. The hatred is beyond belief. The hatred is greater than anybody understands.”

Trump had started out by discussing New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s decision to put a stop to a covert NYPD program that had previously carried out surveillance on Muslim communities. “You’re going to have to watch and study the mosques, because a lot of talk is going on at the mosques,” Trump said. “Under the old regime we had tremendous surveillance going on in and around the mosques of New York City.”

But wait there is more……..

Donald Trump voiced support Thursday evening for creating a mandatory database to track Muslims in the US—the latest in an escalating series of responses following the deadly attacks in Paris. “I would certainly implement that. Absolutely,” Trump said between campaign events in Newton, Iowa, according to video posted on He said Muslims would be signed up at “different places,” adding: “It’s all about management.” Asked whether registering would be mandatory, Trump responded: “They have to be.”

What’s next from these twats?  Maybe a suggestion to make Muslims wear a large yellow crescent moon and star patch?  (that sounds oddly familiar)….

Sounds all you Righties…all that sounds a bit unconstitutional to me…..but then when have you guys ever let the Constitution get in the way of a good fear?

I know this will not matter to those that have their minds made up and are thanking Jesus for the vote …..but just in case….the GOP God Ronnie Reagan has something to say……

Just in case there is any doubt, President Obama has explicit statutory authorization to accept foreign refugees into the United States. Under the Refugee Act of 1980, the president may admit refugees who face “persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion” into the United States, and the president’s power to do so is particularly robust if they determine that an “unforeseen emergency refugee situation” such as the Syrian refugee crisis exists.

This power to admit refugees fits within the scheme of “broad discretion exercised by immigration officials” that the Supreme Court recognized in its most recent major immigration case, Arizona v. United States. Indeed, in describing the executive branch’s broad authority to make discretionary calls regarding immigration matters, Arizona seemed to explicitly contemplate the circumstances that face President Obama today. The United States may wish to allow a foreign national to remain within its borders, the Court explained, because the individual’s home nation “may be mired in civil war, complicit in political persecution, or enduring conditions that create a real risk that the alien or his family will be harmed upon return.”

And then we have the out right lies about other Americans…..and the biggest liar is that twat Trump……..

Donald Trump is insisting he saw something on 9/11 that most Americans have apparently developed amnesia about. On Saturday, he told a rally in Alabama that he had “watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering” as the World Trade Center came down, the Guardian reports. The New York Times reports that he doubled down on the comments about cheering in “areas with large Arab populations” on ABC’s This Week on Sunday, even after George Stephanopoulos told him that police have said there was no such cheering. “It did happen, I saw it,” Trump said. “It was on television. I saw it,” he continued, adding that while “it might be not politically correct for you to talk about it,” it was “well covered at the time.” More:

  • Trump’s remarks were widely condemned as simply untrue by both parties, reports. “Clearly, Trump has memory issues or willfully distorts the truth, either of which should be concerning for the Republican Party,” said Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, a possible Democratic candidate for governor.
  • “I think if it had happened, I would remember it,” said NJ Gov. Chris Christie, per the Times.
  • “It did not happen. He didn’t see it. But who’s there to challenge him on that?” wondered NBC’s Tom Brokaw, calling Trump’s statements “flat-out lies.”
  • The Washington Post gives Trump’s claim four Pinocchios on a scale that does not go up to five, finding that while there were rumors of isolated celebrations in New Jersey, they were not covered on TV and no video or other proof exists. The police commissioner of Paterson, which has the state’s largest Muslim population, says the community was extremely helpful and law-abiding after the attacks. “There were no flags burning, no one was dancing,” he says, using what the Post calls a “barnyard epithet” to describe Trump’s claims.
  • In the ABC interview, Trump also refused to rule out a mandatory database to track US Muslims and promised to bring back waterboarding, the Times reports.
  • On Sunday, Trump tweeted what the Huffington Post calls a “chart of racist and wildly inaccurate crime statistics” that appears to be aimed at “perpetuating racist myths about black people and crime.” The numbers in the chart bear no relation to the FBI’s crime statistics, and the source is listed as the “Crime Statistics Bureau of San Francisco” which does not exist.

The Right wing talkers are doing a fine job of alienated American citizens…..look at over the weekend in Irvine, California armed protesters showed up at a mosque and threatened attending religious services….that is NOT what Americans do to fellow Americans…..this is MORONIC!

You dipshits realize you are doing what the bad guys want?  They want alienated minority that makes for good recruiting…..and YOU are aiding in that effort.

You people are MORONS!  Your kneejerk reactions are playing into the hands of those you are afraid of…..ever thought about thinking your little ideas through before acting?

  1. What will you post when a few of these refugees commit terrorist acts here in the United States? Just curious. I find liberals tend to start name calling because their arguments are usually so weak. Trump is wrong on so many points, but when you use the names you use to describe him, you are actually demonstrating flaws in YOU. And you are acting like this man you detest. See what I am saying? Give your argument in an educated way and more people will hear what you have to say. Otherwise, the post was interesting. Don’t follow the poor example of Obama and Hilary who won’t call Islamic Extremists terrorists, but they call the GOP terrorists every time they have a chance. You see how weak and leadership-less that is? But what can we expect from those two. Have a good day my friend.

    1. The same things I say when Americans kill other Americans…yes I show disrespect and when others stop talking about people that do not agree with them I will cease…I have no use for liars and so far I have NO use for any American politician…

      1. He has been caught in lie after lie…..or should we be polite and call it misinformed? I have a problem with any group that uses civilians as a statement…..

      2. I understand. You can call it lie. I am just saying Trump is not a politician. Question, you admit Hilary is a liar too??? I don’t like politicians from either side of the aisle.

  2. To answer your final query, I would suggest a slight change in wording would make it answer itself, to wit:

“ever thought about thinking your little ideas through before acting?”

I’d say, if you asked, “ever thought about thinking?” it answers itself…. and the answer is always NO….

    gigoid, the dubious

  3. What’s next from these twats? Maybe a suggestion to make Muslims wear a large yellow crescent moon and star patch? (that sounds oddly familiar)….

Hey, whenever Fascism takes over a powerful nation, they break out the yellow patches for the kinds of people they hate and want us to hate. And like good little sheep, we are hating on cue!

Next stop: Activating those FEMA camps!

So, if you’re a Red, or a Roma, you better get your secret panic room finished and your “Go Bags” packed.

In the ABC interview, Trump also refused to rule out a mandatory database to track US Muslims and promised to bring back waterboarding, the Times reports.

As if we don’t have that already!!! Sure, the surface government has officially “eliminated” Muslim databases & waterboarding …on paper. But the Deep Government, the folks actually running the show, they haven’t stopped doing it. They’re just more selective and secretive about it.

In a nation where every communication perfectly law abiding citizens with no grounds for suspicion have is recorded & stored forever, in a nation that has thousands of agencies gathering “intelligence” and thousands of private “intelligence” contractors….you expect me to believe Americans who share the same faith as the people we’re dropping bombs on all over the world…they’re not getting any more attention than the rest of us??? What thinking person can possibly say “There is no Muslim database” without bursting into gut busting laughter?

These moron politicos would only do more of it and be more open about it. And the mere fact they can be so open about it without becoming political pariahs …well it shows how ready for Fascism America is! Just wait & see what happens if America ever has another major terror (aka Muslim) attack on its soil.

    1. Sadly, Americans think that it can never happen…..and while they are denial….it is happening… are right especially if it is on Obama’s watch…..Trump will become prez and the shit will hit the fan….chuq

    2. You choose to name the GOP moronic politcos because they would watch the Muslim community. We’re heading towards a Facist America? You probably chose to forget the NSA has had surveillance of Americans (as CBS exposed). for quite a while. UNDER OBAMA’S WATCH. Oh, the IRS went after TEA PARTY politicians UNDER OBAMA’s WATCH. Analyze all the facts my friend. WE are already FACIST AMERICA under the Traitor i Chief’s watch. Amazing how the uniformed Liberals prefer to resort to name calling instead of looking at ALL the facts. Have a great evening.

      1. I forgot nothing….I have written many times about it….as a fact I was personally part of it under the COUNTELPRO…..yes liberals are the only ones that do that….Right wing is so kind and respectful to all others that think differently….tah….

      2. Here I am giving you a response and you revert to sarcasm. A liberal defense mechanism. It is easier to be insulting than to engage in a conversation where the holes in your opinion may come to light. Obviously, you prefer not to have a good educated debate. That is not problem. I mistook your blog for as a place for intelligent exchanges of ideas. If you prefer I will refrain from commenting. And you can go about your merry way and weaken your arguments by name calling. No need to get angry my friend. I despise both liberals and conservatives. Only by being independent can one actually make a difference. All the others are blindly sticking their head in the sand sticking to their ideologies. Good day.

      3. I agree with you…her4e on a blog there is a tendency to be insult because you are an unknown entity….but if I say something derogatory about a public figure I will em-mail them a copy of the post and say that I will print their response…..that is all public figures…..I am not angry just wanted to be upfront with you….we had a lovely exchange…..there was no disrespect and that is what I am talking about….I will be as respectful as the person commenting…I have been “nasty” to many public figures both left and right…..I agree with you about the independent thing…the problem is I do not believe there are too many true independents……and I do appreciate your comments if not I would have ended it ….so if you would like then please comment as much as you would like…..chuq

      4. My friend, thanks for the reply. I used to refer to politicians by all types of names (even worse than the ones you used on Trump) but I learned people were reading my words and not the message. Your message is too important to not be heard. Unlike my blog about writing and humor, you have an IMPORTANT blog about real life subjects that affect all of us. I am a bit jaded. I have little respect for MOST Americans who prefer to watch Kim K’s butt enlarge or Snooki’s nonsense, and remain uninformed.
People vote along party lines even when their party is failing. I voted for Bush the first time and not the second. I voted for Obama the first time and not the second. I give you four years, you succeed you get my vota again. You fail you’re out. When all Americans do this, politicians will HAVE to change. I have a dear friend who is a devout conservative screaming everyday about second amendment rights, do we really need more guns on the street. I try to be as independent as possible. Both sides have good points and HORRIBLE ideas as well. My only hope is that the victor in 2016 is not names Hilary or Trump. Obama has failed in many things, and that will lead to a GOP victory. Keep posting your interesting articles, I can only hope for our country’s sake, someone is listening. Have a good one friend.

      5. Because it was nested under my comment, I have to assume your comment was directed toward me, even though the contents don’t really apply that much to my comment. Similarly, most of my comment has almost nothing to do with yours 🙂

I want to state right off the bat that I couldn’t give a rat’s ass WHO is spying on me, or how they pathetically attempt to “justify” it. It could be the US government, my government, or an “enemy” government. It could be Republican, or Democrat. It could be government agencies, private contractors, corporations, retail stores, or even the neighbours. I don’t care who is spying on me, how, or why. Even if I agree with them on all other matters, ANYBODY who spies on me is ultimately disrespecting me and can’t be trusted. They are just like the cheaters who constantly accuse their partners of cheating and attempt to monitor/control their every move.

The biggest problem is that damn near EVERYONE is spying these days. Governments, corporations & individuals are all grabbing as much information on you as they can for the purposes of controlling you, in one way or another. They all have their own agendas; political, professional, personal, economic. Because it’s all so secret, the public has NO idea how vast, or how nasty, it actually is. Under cover of darkness, you’ve got political hatchet jobs, personal revenge, etc. You name the motivation, or abuse, it’s happened.

As for NSA (etc) spying, I WISH I could forget it. I wish the US government didn’t record every word I write and say. I wish I wasn’t treated like an Enemy of the State 24/7. Mass spying was the result of a conscious decision. They could have went with the approach of following known “bad guys” and working outwards, but they intentionally chose to spy on everyone and build up files on us all…for future use. They had options, but chose to treat us all like enemy agents. This attitude is fundamental to Fascism.

As for abuse, the thing about spying is that it’s a one way street. The spies get to invade the privacy of people…in complete privacy! This is why Edward Snowden, Wikileaks, and anyone else brave enough to spill the beans are hunted down with more intensity than Osama was. Releasing the information itself isn’t the real “crime”. The real “crime” is the attempt to monitor THEIR behaviour. And from what little we’ve seen, their behaviour is FAR worse than ours. Again, the cheater accuses the spouse of cheating.

As for the political slant to all this, they ALL suck! But here’s the biggest difference. The Left will downplay what they’re doing and look the other way when shit happens. The Right (with some exceptions) will stand on a soap box and holler for more of it. The reality is that every abuse imaginable is happening (Muslim Watch included) and we’re just being lied to about it. Lies are the currency of spies.

But we all mistakenly think the politicians are in charge of it. They are mere window dressing for The Powers That Be. Yes, politicos may instruct certain activities a-la Nixon. But for every one of those, there’s 1,000 examples of underlings trying to rise to the top by doing what they think their boss wants. For example, the IRS aggressively audited Teabaggers under a Democratic regime. Change to a Republican regime. Suddenly, left wing groups will be under assault from the very same IRS operatives who harassed the Teabaggers. This is just how government/corporate cultures work. Everyone tries to rise to the top by sucking up to the person above them.

One of the more interesting leaks to come out in recent years demonstrated how the spies operate in a pyramid of lies. Essentially, it’s “trickle up” bullshit. Obviously, the politicos at the top lie profusely to the public. Not surprisingly, agency heads routinely lie to the politicos. However, within the agencies themselves, each organizational level misrepresents the true nature of what’s going on to the level above it. Even in their own in-house reporting, the NSA “downplays possible negatives” (aka hides abuses) from the higher ups and glosses-over violations of law as “inadvertent” or “administrative error”. But they’re even intentionally vague about their “successes” to avoid garnering attention to them. Supervisors actually instruct analysts on how to fill out their already vague “request forms” to make them even vaguer. Yet, even after doing all this “camouflaging” to hide the truth from itself, the NSA internal audit STILL reported thousands of incidents a year where they clearly violated the law. And they’re just one of thousands of agencies that collect data on us, many of which aren’t nearly as professional and have even less oversight.

To conclude this rambling, barely relevant, rant….secrecy & abuse is not just inherent to the spy business…it IS the spy business. And spying & Fascism go together like fists in leather gloves. It doesn’t matter who is doing it, how they do it, or why they claim to do it. Such details only make the abuse even worse than it already is.

      6. Sorry for the delay but Sundays are my day with the granddaughter and I pretty much stay off the ‘puter.

I have laid back approach on the spying on me…like you they can kiss my ass (that is chuq with a “Q”)…..I have found a new like for Anonymous….I say leave them alone they are getting justice for people whi can find none….

I have been telling people about this spying for years and I was a nut….now everyone is screaming….all I can say….”I told you so”….should have listened.
