There are libertarians on the right and on the left and I thought the definition of libertarian was one of freedom….free press, free markets, free thought and free speech and some sort of personal responsibility….I am not saying that I agree with them on much but apparently I have missed something at the daily briefing……

It seems that Rand Paul would like to bring back the 1984 thing called “the Thought Police”….the book, not the year…..recently Paul had this to say…..

Paul went on Sean Hannity’s radio show on May 27 and said the government should “take into account whether or not” people have “been going to radical political speeches by religious leaders.”

He added, “If someone is attending speeches from someone who is promoting the violent overthrow of our government, that’s really an offense that we should be going after.” In fact, he said, “They should be deported or put in prison.”

So if I go to one of these speeches out of curiosity, Paul would have me arrested or deported or worse….is that about it?

Finally the perfect running mate for Bachmann if she wins the GOP nomination….I mean after all she wants Dems investigated and  put on trial for being un-American…..so she and Paul have a lot in common…..it is a Dream Team!  (in case you missed it…..that was what is called SARCASM!)
