The GOP has offered up 300+ bills that would suppress the minority vote and yet Cruz states that the Dems with the Voting Rights Act is trying to subvert the GOP from office….

You read that correctly…Cruz is saying that the Dems are trying to suppress the vote with the Act…..

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Wednesday accused Democrats of proposing voter laws that he considered “Jim Crow 2.0” during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

During the hearing, Cruz said the For the People Act, which in part aims to expand ballot access, would “prevent Democrats from being voted out of power.”

“Today’s congressional Democrats do not believe in the right to vote,” Cruz said. “They do not believe in democracy and they are championing efforts to take away the right to vote from American citizens.”

The Texas senator said that Democrats were the original authors of the Jim Crow laws, which enforced racial segregation in the late 1800s. Cruz added that the only objective of new election laws is to keep Democrats in power for the next hundred years, calling it the “Corrupt Politicians Act.”

“So what’s Jim Crow 2.0? It’s the latest efforts of Democrats to write laws to prevent the voters from voting Democrats out of power,” Cruz asserted.

Ted Cruz is out. The Texas senator is ending his campaign after being routed in Indiana by Donald Trump in Tuesday’s primary, reports the AP. Cruz had staged a last stand in the state in the hope of preventing Trump from securing the nomination, but he told supporters that he has no “viable path to victory” after the loss. “The voters chose another path,” he said. “We gave it everything we’ve got.” Trump, who was leading by about 15 points, had been declared the winner as soon as polls closed at 7pm EDT. “We’re going after Hillary Clinton,” he told his own supporters after Cruz’s announcement. “And we’re going to win.” In his speech, Trump also praised Cruz as “one hell of a competitor” and said he had an “amazing future.”

Shortly after Cruz’s bombshell, Republican National Committee chief Reince Priebus tweeted that Trump is the “presumptive nominee,” adding that “we all need to unite and focus on defeating” Clinton. In his own speech, Cruz made no mention of the front-runner. Earlier in the day, however, he unleashed a diatribe, calling Trump a “serial philanderer” and a “pathological liar,” notes NBC News. That came after Trump dredged up a bizarre National Enquirer report linking Cruz’s dad to Lee Harvey Oswald. John Kasich was a distant third in Indiana, though he gave no indication he planned to follow Cruz’s lead and drop out.

If you listen closely you will hear the orgasmic howls of the Trunp-ites….now they can turn their venom toward the Clintons…..

Ted Cruz Is Shaky on Foreign Policy

This may be a moot point……Cruz learned what “New York Values” can do to a candidate……he was handed his ass…..he finished 3rd in what the media called a 2 man race…..if his IQ ever hits 60 he should sell and quickly.

A friend recently told me that they were disappointed in my blog because I seem to have fixated on Trump and Clinton……I thought it over and will have to agree with my friend……so I will try to rectify my oversight.

I have said numerous times that, at least for me, foreign policy is the most important issue for this election. We have waded into so many conflicts that it is difficult to see which are ours and which belong to other nations.

So to rectify my oversight……what is the foreign policy of Ted Cruz…at least in this election……I am sure it will change later but for now….where does he stand?

For a couple of months we have been told by the MSM about the mini civil war been fought within the GOP….the war of words has gotten a bit out of hand….RNC is trying behind the scenes to thwart Trump’s appeal with the great unwashed masses…..and in that time Mr. Trump is hitting back……

Donald Trump has already expressed his anger over Colorado’s primary system, which handed Ted Cruz all of the state’s delegates, and in a new Wall Street Journal op-ed, he goes into more detail. Republicans in the state weren’t allowed to vote, and ever since the results came out, politicians have been defending the process because “that’s just the system,” Trump writes. “Let me ask America a question: How has the ‘system’ been working out for you and your family?” In Trump’s opinion, the system benefits politicians and related parties (consultants, pollsters, pundits, special interest groups) while hurting average Americans.

“Responsible leaders should be shocked by the idea that party officials can simply cancel elections in America if they don’t like what the voters may decide,” Trump writes, adding that Cruz has been celebrating his win despite the fact that it symbolizes the disenfranchisement of voters. “How have we gotten to the point where politicians defend a rigged delegate-selection process with more passion than they have ever defended America’s borders?” The solution? A “bold infusion of popular will.” The people are right when it comes to opinions on taxes, immigration, foreign policy, and the size of government, while politicians and other “elite” are wrong, Trump says. “Why should we trust the people who have made every wrong decision to substitute their will for America’s will in this presidential election?” His full piece is here.

All this rhetoric and all the speculation by the media has turned something as boring as the nomination process into a segment well suited for Reality TV…..

Let’s not leave good old Ted out of this……back at the beginning of this process Ted was in Iowa trying to make points with the peasants and he railed against Trump and his “New York Values”…..got lots of applause and smiles….but Teddy forgot that he had to go to New York to campaign….and this happened……

Ted “New York values” Cruz faced a tough crowd Thursday at the New York State Republican gala, BuzzFeed reports. According to NBC News, the crowd of 800 Republicans was “stunningly distracted” during his speech, which was “almost entirely ignored.” Talking Points Memo is a bit gentler, stating Cruz received a “cool reception.” Things started off badly when Cruz’s opening joke about Donald Trump “only drew muted laughter,” as BuzzFeed puts it. After that, attendees walked around, took selfies, and chatted with each other, the noise of talking and silverware growing louder as Cruz’s speech wore on. It was the worst response any speaker received. “Attendees … are talking over Ted Cruz waaaay more than they did with Trump, Kasich, or even New Mexico Gov. Martinez’s yawner speech,” one journalist tweeted.

One attendee says Cruz’s criticism of “New York values” hurt him with the crowd. “I think people have had … difficulty forgetting that,” he tells BuzzFeed. Another says Cruz’s decision to stick to his normal stump speech showed he didn’t bother to understand his audience. One Republican voter tells NBC Trump simply had a home-court advantage. “This is Trumpville; this is Trump town,” he says. NBC estimates that out of hundreds of attendees, Cruz received applause from only two dozen or so people at any given time. One Cruz supporter blames the fact that Cruz was speaking last and attendees were hungry and waiting to eat. But CNN points out attendees had already gotten their food and were nearly finished eating by the time Cruz took the stage.

Playing cute with words and rhetoric does have its consequences…..

Looks like neither Trump or Cruz is winning many friends these days…..

Thanx to the stupidity of candidates the media has turned this into a psycho-drama for the convention……(and the peasants danced)…..

I am by no means a supporter of Donald Trump but even I think his rival Ted Cruz is a bit over the top….Cruz takes every advantage to spread lies and other such “dirty Tricks”……of course most of it comes from his PACs so he can say that he is innocent of any of the juvenile BS…..

His, Cruz, email scams are becoming legendary….he has used them on Carson and Rubio….probably others….but his latest scam is targeted at Trump supporters…..

Believe it or not…I am NOT one of those lazy f*cks that gets my news from a single source……so yes, as much as I dislike Alex Jones and his Infowars I will check it out from time to time for news.

Then there is the cute little trick on using Trump’s wife in a racy add for Cruz…..now this should be a line…..I think anyone that would use such a technique to influence the voter is due NO respect….and is a bit classless.

So Cruz and Trump are in this infantile back and forth about each others wives…..is this what our politics has come to……two major candidates acting like 6 graders?

The tweet reading, “A picture is worth a thousand words” shows side-by-side images of Heidi Cruz and Trump’s wife, Melania—the former image unflattering, the latter very flattering. Ted Cruz responded with a tweet of his own: “Donald, real men don’t attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life.”

All of this comes after an anti-Trump super PAC mocked Melania Trump by using an image of her from a magazine’s nude photo shoot. Trump blamed the Cruz campaign—which denied any knowledge of it—and threatened to “spill the beans” about Heidi Cruz. She doesn’t seem fazed by the threat, however. “Most of the things Donald Trump says have no basis in reality,” she said on Wednesday, per the Hill. “We are not worried. We’re focusing on our campaign, and we’re going to continue to do that.”

Why would anyone with half a brain take either of these two d/bags seriously?

Maybe it is just me….but I prefer an adult as my candidate.

Could it be that I am being too hard on Cruz…..well let’s see…….

Cruz And Foreign Policy

A friend has chastised me for not writing more on Cruz….he accused me of ignoring him…….I had to state that I was trying…… but he was right I have not given Cruz the scrutiny that I have given other candidates….and I will rectify that situation now…..

Other major candidates like Trump, Sanders, Clinton I have written about their policies and their people……I will admit that I have not seen much on the people that Cruz has on his team for foreign policy….that is until now……

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, has unveiled his new foreign policy team, stacked with some of the most aggressive hawks imaginable, saying they are a group of his “trusted friends” who believe in a “strong America.”

At the center of his team is neoconservative ultra-hawk Frank Gaffney, a loudly anti-Muslim figure who believes in a wild array of conspiracies, including that a number of top political figures from both parties of being part of a secret Muslim cabal plotting the conquest of America.

Also featuring prominently in the Cruz team is Michael Ledeen, the man at the center of the yellowcake uranium forgeries, among the pretexts for the 2003 US invasion and occupation of Iraq. Ledeen has been involved in a litany of scandals, dating all the way back to Iran-Contra. He was also, notably, the man who got Israeli spy Jonathon Pollard his job at the US Navy.

Of course speaking of Iran-Contra, one must inevitably discuss Elliott Abrams, who famously pled guilty to two charges of withholding information related to the scandal from Congress, and is likewise a central player in the new Cruz team. In addition to the Contra scandal, Abrams was involved in myriad ugly Reagan-era operations, and was a close ally of both former presidents Bush, receiving a pardon for his Reagan-era crimes by George H.W. Bush, and being appointed as a special adviser to George W.

With this team and more, Cruz is surrounding himself with warmongers and criminals of the highest caliber. While the attempt appears to center on making him a more straightforward Republican insider, to serve as a counter to Trump, the jingoist and xenophobic policies these advisers portend also threatens to sabotage any hope he has of presenting himself as a safer alternative.

I think the hiring of these ultra-hawkish team illustrates just what type of foreign policy a Cruz presidency will follow……it will be unrealistic, interventionist and a problem for the safety of this country.

The Liar: A Love Story

I cannot believe that I will be posting yet another piece about Donald Trump……I cannot say that I appreciate much that he has to say but I will give him his props when he tells the truth, something not many can do within the GOP……

In a recent debate Trump pointed out that the Iraq war was started on lies and for that piece of truth he, Trump, has been demonized by the Right and the result of that attack has given us a new national GOP front runner……

Has attacking George W. Bush backfired big time for Donald Trump? According to the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC poll, voters are turning away from Trump and he now trails Ted Cruz 28% to 26% among GOP primary voters, with Marco Rubio in third at 17% and John Kasich fourth with 11%. Ben Carson is fifth with 10% and Jeb Bush is last with just 4%. The poll—which found that both Cruz and Rubio would defeat Trump in head-to-heads—was conducted after Saturday’s ferocious GOP debate and contradicts other recent polls, including one that gives Trump a massive lead in South Carolina. In warning signs for Trump, his support has dropped sharply among women and “traditional values” conservatives, the Journal notes.

It has been months since the WSJ/NBC poll had anybody other than Trump in the lead, and pollsters say the surprise result could be a blip—or an early sign of changes to come. “When you see a number this different, it means you might be right on top of a shift in the campaign,” Republican pollster Bill McInturff says. “What you don’t know yet is if the change is going to take place or if it is a momentary pause before the numbers snap back into place.” He says the post-debate slump may be “a ‘pause’ as Republican voters take another look at Trump. This happened earlier this summer and he bounced back stronger.”

Does this point to the fact that the Right had rather be lied to or just a love for the bumbling Texan, GW?

Of course this is one poll of many and I am sure that it tells only a momentary story……but I do find it interesting that GOPers do not like the truth….apparently they prefer to be lied to by their candidates…..

Pretty lame excuse for picking your nominee…..on a lie!

This Is Why

I have dragged myself into the gutter with those that use insulting words to talk about others…..I had not realized just how bad it had gotten until another blogger pointed it out to me…..I was a bit pissed at first but as we exchanged thoughts I could see where he/she was going and he/she was right (thanx you…..the lonelyauthorblog)…….. and I shall try to do better in the future.

Yesterday I read something that just cheesed my grits…..do you remember during one of the Democratic debates when Clinton was asked about the enemies that she was proud to have? Her response was Republicans. That sent the net into I stroke on the Right….she was belittled for her answer saying that Americans should not be a presidential wannabe’s enemies……

Yesterday, as I said, I read a piece about something Sen. Ted Cruz had to say…..

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz claimed Monday during a radio appearance that “the overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats.”

The Republican presidential contender told radio host Hugh Hewitt that Democrats — aided by a “salivating” media — attempt to use mass killings to damage

“Every time you have some sort of violent crime or mass killing, you could almost see the media salivating, hoping desperately that the murderer happens to be a Republican so they can use it to try to paint their political enemies,” Cruz said.

He continued: “Now, listen, here’s the simple and undeniable facts: The overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats. The media doesn’t report that.”

I realize that it is fashionable to blame the media for all your perceived wrongs but a blanket statement like this is what he, among others, we bitching about when Clinton answered the debate question last month….

This is the type of stuff that can make a rational person go ballistic…..even if I were a conservative it is statements like that that would make me look elsewhere for a candidate to support.

This is one reason I have NO faith in the system anymore….when wild statements are held up as somehow a characteristic of a good candidate…..all it shows me is the shallowness of the American voter.

Elections are now about a candidate’s performance not substance……

I weep for this country’s future.

Middle East: “But Why Do They Hate Us So”?

As an international analyst I work with lots of information and in doing so I need to separate the facts from the fecal matter……..it is very difficult at times for there is so much misinformation and outright lies flying around that it becomes very difficult to find the truth and pass it on……..

I love my job (the pay sucks) and I will continue to help people understand what is truly happening in the Middle East………and I like to start by pointing out the mental midgets that lie to influence…….and one of the biggest liars is a politician named…..Sen. Ted Cruz.

This person is responsible for passing out the most outrageous lies in Washington……..some of his most outrageous have come at the hands of the Iran nuke deal…….

Awhile back after the announcement of the deal he made and terribly irresponsible statement……..

The flamboyant Texas senator and Republican presidential candidate seized the spotlight at a hearing on Capitol Hill on Wednesday to grill Defense Secretary Ash Carter about an alleged document listing the names of some 500 U.S. service members whose combat deaths can be directly linked to Iran.

“Secretary Carter, I understand that the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency has a classified list of roughly 500 American soldiers who were murdered by Iranian [improvised explosive devices],”

This statement made the nightly news and a couple of hours of comments and opinions on his claim……but there is a problem………

The Joint Personnel Recovery Agency “has not produced, nor do they have in their possession, or any knowledge of the existence of, the list referred to by Senator Cruz, or one similar to it,” a spokesman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff told Military Times on Thursday.

Another defense official familiar with the 500 estimate told Military Times that the Defense Department does not specifically track casualties linked to Iran and that the estimate is a rough figure based on various intelligence assessments.

In other words Cruz got some info from a neocon think tank and passed it on without verification as fact when it was NOT…….at best it was a LIE.

He was not finished with the Iran deal……..now that he has a position within the GOP candidate list he will say whatever gets him attention……and that attention will be , as usual, LIES.

Now he is spouting crap that AIPAC wants out there to sway people against the deal……and as usual it is LIES!

Now Cruz is saying that if the deal goes through then shortly there will be a mushroom cloud over Israel……..pathetic attempt to sway….with the use of LIES!

This is why we are hated across the Middle East…..Americans too quickly believe lies and act on those lies…….and look at what those lies have given the country……….a war WITHOUT end………..if people would demand the truth at all times things might improve……..but that would be wishful thinking…….

And that is why they hate us……we have lying pricks as representatives………
