Another Good Christian?

We seldom hear about some”minor” digressions from our Christian brethren…..we only get a look at their lives when they are a “biggie” that has fallen…..

I read an article about a church in Ohio…..it seems that a youth minister raped a teen age girl……

An Ohio judge sentenced a “delusional” former youth pastor to 10 years in prison for sexually abusing a teenage member of the church where he served as a volunteer.

Brian Mitchell pleaded guilty Thursday to four counts of sexual battery, and a Cuyahoga County judge rejected his attorney’s recommendation for house arrest but did not impose the maximum 20-year prison term, reported the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The 31-year-old Mitchell, a father of three children under age 8, began sending text messages to the victim, then 16 years old, that quickly turned to complaints about his marriage.

Church leaders spoke to Mitchell the day after learning of the sex abuse in November and then reported the case to police.

The girl’s mother testified during the sentencing hearing that church leaders also told the family not to come back to church until her daughter had apologized to Mitchell’s wife.

So the victim needs to apologize to the rapist wife?  Seriously?  Someone please explain that to me.

Since this was a Baptist “youth” minister should we blame all Baptists for this behavior?  Or for that matter all Christians?

You “Cannot Fix Stupid”–Part Two

Back in April of 2016 I wrote about the most stupid piece of unthinking bullshit I have ever read…..The Mormons decided to air drop religious material on Syria looking for converts….(read it for yourself)……

I close my day of posting with a situation from last week…..it illustrates the depths of ignorance…….it falls firmly in the category of “Can’t Fix Stupid!”

Most of us humans are always looking for a sign that God is listening and helping…..religions have sent missionaries all over the world to indoctrinate….ooops…… Sorry that should be teach the word of God to others…..but recently I saw a piece that tells of a massive airdrop of Bibles over a war torn country……and just how pathetic this attempt was…..

People were killed and/or injury by flying Bibles….Bibles that could not be read….how’s that for humanitarian aid?

You may be asking why would I rehash this story, right?

What people living in ISIS-controlled areas really need is Christianity delivered by drone, an evangelical church in Sweden has decided. The Uppsala-based Word of Life church says it plans to use military drones to drop thousands of Bibles over parts of Syria in the hope of converting Muslims, CNET reports. “Let’s pray the message of God’s love in Christ will conquer that of darkness and hate,” the church said in an Instagram post. The church plans to drop Arabic-language electronic Bibles, which will not need to be plugged in to work.

The church’s missions director says the plan “is not connected to any military or aggressive action in any way,” but has a lot in common with traditional smuggling of Bibles into places like the Soviet Union, the Washington Post reports. On its Facebook page, the church says the Bible drop is happening in parallel with the church’s other work in the region, including providing medical care in refugee camps. It hasn’t responded to a post from somebody worried that ISIS will harshly punish anybody caught with a Bible—and that extremists will now target the church’s headquarters in Sweden.

The only thing I can say positive about this is at least these religious dolts had the good sense to print the material in Arabic….something Morons kinda overlooked in their attempt in April.

Why cannot these religious types do God’s work and stop wasting cash try to convert and try helping the refugees that the whole world has abandoned?

“We want peace in the Middle East,” said Mormon Church social media director Sam Woodfield. “And what better way to accomplish this than through religion and the heart and soul of our Savior, Jesus Christ.”

The Church (LDS) spent over $85 million dollars on ‘Operation Bible Drop.’ This cost included the Bibles, transportation, parachutes for each package, and permits to use the airspace. Each of the 6,000 packages included 100 Bibles with hopes that they would be distributed in villages and cities across Syria.

$85 million…..could that be a tax break for a charitable action?

“We have a great foothold in Africa and the Middle East is our next stage of expansion,” said Woodfield. “In a time of war and despair, it’s the best time to suck people into religion. We have a saying; ‘The more desperate, the more vulnerable people become for hope.’ Their God failed them, so there isn’t a better time to promote our true and only powerful God.”

It is the same GOD you moron….

Some have suggested that the money could have been better used to feed and clothe a million refugees for a year. Instead, they got books in a language that a majority of the population can’t read.

“Complete waste of money and is insulting,” said the director of the non-profit humanitarian organization, World Peace Now, Tim Seager. “The conversion rate on their plan is going to be zero percent. The whole thing is puzzling. The locals told us they were puzzled too, but said the books are good to burn at night for warmth, so that’s one positive thing to come from this. They were just very expensive fire pit logs.”

There were also reports of people getting injured after stacks of Bibles fell on people’s heads. The drop also caused stampedes when civilians thought a bombing air raid was beginning. When the dust had settled, 12 people died and thousands were injured in the ‘Bible Drop’ campaign.

Gives a whole new definition of “being hit over the head by the word of God”.

This was a pathetic show of ignorance….but what could I expect from the stupidity that arises from arrogance.

Is it possible that with the ceasefire holding in Syria that the Bibles killed more people than any action on this day?

Christians Like Them

We hear almost daily somewhere that this Muslim did this or said that or thought thusly….but there is seldom anything when a “Christian” acts out some sick or perverted event……

But being a person that reads constantly I run across some amazing crap that the media overlooks….and especially when it is about Christians acting badly….

For instance……

Baptist pastor from Missouri has been sentenced to 50 years in prison last week for hiring his mistress and her husband to burn his house down with his wife inside of it, reports the Riverfront Times.

Donald Lafferty, 71, who was sentenced to 50 years in prison after a jury convicted him on charges of attempted murder, arson, armed criminal action and financial exploitation of the elderly after investigators discovered he had embezzled $87,000 from his 89-year-old mother.

The January 12, 2013 fire at Lafferty’s home had become a cold case despite investigators finding evidence of arson.

The case was reopened in April of 2014, after investigators uncovered evidence that Lafferty had forged power-of-attorney documents and transferred his mother’s life saving into an account controlled by him.

According to investigators, Lafferty had been involved in an affair with Brandy Lee Hicks, 33, who was a member of Beech Grove Church along with her husband, Christopher Hicks, 34.

A fine example of Christian love……

Then there was another Christian acting badly…….

A pastor in Somerset County, New Jersey, did a really crappy job of faking a hate crime against himself last Friday, according to local officials. Rev. Jairon Pena of the New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church was found by Somerset police inside his church, with his hands and legs “loosely bound” with rope, a rag stuffed in his mouth, a plastic bag over his head, and a “piece of paper taped to his chest and back with a misspelled Islamic phrase” on it.

Police arrested Pena after he told them an inconsistent story about having been assaulted by two men and a woman wearing masks and gloves, who allegedly beat him, pulled Bibles from the pews, and stomped on them — all the while blaspheming against God. The detectives quickly noticed that Pena was remarkably uninjured for a guy who’d supposedly been beaten, and the pastor eventually admitted he’d made up the entire story due to unspecified “personal events in his life,” according to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano, who charged Pena with “false public alarm, false swearing and fictitious report to law enforcement.”

Crazies Never Give Up

Ever since the election of 2008 there have been a wealth of crazies telling the country of the doom that Obama will bring…..there were the FEMA “indoctrination” camps, Christians would be persecuted, Obama would take over the country and give himself a third term as president….oh yeah do not forget the anti-Christ thing……..on and on…I am sure you could come up with a few that I have not thought of….and now since he has not accomplished anything  that these looney toons had predicted you would think that they would slack off and see who would win the next election so they could start all over again…..right?

Nope!  They are still at it….and the best of the crazies is still going strong…..the mouth of the Tea Party Caucus in Congress, Michele Bachmann……he newest prediction……

Michele Bachmann is fantasizing about the apocalypse again — but it’s hard to tell if she’s trying to stop it or enthusiastically cheering it on.

The former Republican congresswoman appeared Saturday on the “end times” radio program hosted by Jan Markell and Eric Barger, who she warned that the Syrian civil war was setting up the biblical battle of Armageddon, reported Right Wing Watch.

Bachmann predicted world leaders were poised to grant “legitimacy to the Islamic State,” and she said Russian and Iranian military intervention in Syria was establishing grounds for a future invasion of Israel to seize its energy resources — in accordance with the biblical prophecy.

Think about it……this certifiable moron ran for the highest office in the land….and she had a wealth of supporters…..thank God few voted for her and she was sent packing from the campaign trail and later from Congress…..

Another sad thing…..she is not alone in these delusions……sadly Americans are that damn gullible….

Huckabee: Driving The Clown Car (For Now)

There are 17 GOP candidates for the party nomination……and it looks like a few of them want to be in the drivers seat……at least for the first couple of debates……and the biggest GOP blow hard of the week has got to be Huckabee……..

First he rattled on about the Iran nuke deal…….first he said that if it was approved it would be leading Israel to the oven door…….poor taste at best….then he had to go further on the deal……he then stated that it the deal is approved there would be a mushroom cloud over Israel…….that has NO taste….just plain bullshit!  Is there not something in his religion about “bearing false witness”?

But one of his best came just the other day…..he has moved on from Israel and Iran…..now he is harping on abortion……..

Mike Huckabee this week promised to get aggressive against abortion as president, and he didn’t rule out using federal troops or the FBI to do so, reports the Topeka Capital-Journal. The remarks came in two public appearances: At the first, he said he would “invoke the Fifth and 14th Amendments for the protection of every human being,” including unborn babies. At the second event, a reporter asked if that meant using troops or the FBI, and he said, “We’ll see, if get to be president.”

Salon notes that the reporter was none other than Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone, who tweetedabout the exchange. And what about Roe v. Wade? Huckabee told the crowd that Abraham Lincoln defied the Supreme Court’s Dred Scott decision, which denied African-Americans the right to citizenship, when he freed the slaves. The Topeka newspaper, though, quotes a Berkeley law professor who thinks Huckabee is “off base,” adding, “I think he’d better more carefully examine what he’s saying, because it is totally unprecedented.”

Does this mental midget know anything about “federal law”?  Does this “person” mean that he would prevent Americans from having the freedom of choice?  And these types accuse Obama of being a Nazi……..go figure.

This douche bag is doing what ALL politicians do at election time…..tell the voter what they want to hear……no matter whether it is the truth of not……..does this Israeli hooker realize that his BS on religion is NO better than the Muslims that want to force their beliefs on others……..

GOP: The Little Dude That Couldn’t

2016 just got a little more silly……..nope not talking about the entry of Trump into the campaign……but rather that silly little governor from Louisiana that has the worse possible rating at home…….and now it is official…….the clown car has truly arrived!

The problem is he should have run 4 years ago when his political capital was at a high…..now he is just a silly little dude trying to make a name for himself and pad his political resume to add more cash to his speaking tours…..

  • Bad impression: He was a given a huge opportunity to make his name by delivering the GOP response to President Obama’s first congressional address in 2009. Instead, he drew comparisons to Kenneth on 30 Rock.

Gov. Bobby Jindal has wrecked the state of Louisiana and now he wants to take the carnage national. Jindal announced on Twitter that he is running for president.

When Jindal took office in 2008, the state had a $900 million budget surplus that the governor managed to turn into a $1.6 billion deficit through trickle-down tax cuts. He has doubled the state’s unemployment rate while refusing to raise taxes. Jindal has become reviled in his state by slashing funding for education and healthcare. Gov. Jindal tried to replace the state tax with a much higher sales tax, but he had to pull the plan after both Democrats and Republican rebelled.

Now that is a record of a true American candidate……..

Only good thing about a Jindal candidacy is that he will be a perfect fit for the clown car……

Erik Rush: ‘Violent Civil Disobedience’ Needed To Stop Liberals, Gay Marriage | Right Wing Watch

I know that the ignorant masses that are on the Right wing will say and or whatever it is that they think will motivate the idiots that subscribe to their lunacy but there comes a time when their words are chosen to ramp up harm to the country.

It is time for the government and law enforcers to start calling these pricks on their bluff and hold them responsible for their irresponsible words.  I do believe I have the right to say what is on my mind but if I get on the TV or radio and basically call out for violent action then that goes beyond voicing an opinion and into the realm of incitement.

This a/hole is hoping that his verbiage will motivate some of the mental midgets into action so there will be a response and then they can say….”Told you so”…..

What would these toads do if a black leader told the people that they needed to rise up in armed revolt?  They would have a stroke and die sprinting to FOX to make a comment.

I believe that there are limits to the first amendment…….this is not free speech this is trying to incite violence……where should we draw the line?

When D/Bags Talk It Is Too Good To Ignore

Ever read an article that was too good to pass up or to try and ignore?

All the Right Wing clap-trap about same sex marriage has gone over the top many times……but the best one I read yesterday and just had to pass it on………..

Anti-gay activist Peter LaBarbera appeared on recent episode of “America’s Survival,” where he and co-host Jerry Kenney made their case against homosexuality by likening it to rape, eating feces, eating children, murder, incest, and drinking poison.

After Kenney boldly declared that “I don’t believe in gay people” on the grounds that nobody can prove to him “scientifically” that there is any genetic cause of homosexuality, he asserted that claiming that gay people are just “born that way” is like saying that a rapist ought to be free to rape because he was “just born a rapist.”

Kenney then went on to say that there is nothing “natural” about homosexuality because whenever it occurs in nature “it doesn’t occur for very long.” This led him to assert that homosexuality can’t be genetic because, if it was, “it [would] have died with the very first person that had the gene mutation.”

Even if one does accept the claim that homosexuality is natural, Kenney continued, that still doesn’t justify it because “there are a lot of things that are natural that aren’t necessarily good.”

“In nature, animals rape one another,” he said. “So should rape be okay? Some animals eat their own waste, is that okay? Animals eat their young. Is our new standard now, in this society that we’ve brought down and as long as we’re at the animal level then it’s okay?”

“Wouldn’t murder be natural?” asked LaBarbera. “Wouldn’t incest be natural?”

“Poison is natural,” responded Kenney. “Let’s all drink a cup of poison”:

Do these people ever listen to what they say…..or maybe listen to that small voice in their head that tells them to just keep quiet?
