Donny Will Quit After Midterms

More juicy bullshit from Carville

There is always someone on the interweb that is predicted this or that around Donny….his health, his mental problems and so on…..but this one I found and thought I would post to get reactions if possible.

The Mouth of the South, Carville, is predicting that Donny will bow out after the midterms and Vance will advance to the seat of power…

The so-called “Ragin’ Cajun” James Carville has sensationally predicted that US president Donald Trump will resign from office following this November’s midterm elections, which are widely-tipped to yield a disastrous result for the Republican party.

Carville, who was the strategic brain behind presidential candidates such as Bill Clinton, John Kerry and Hillary Clinton, told the Daily Beast Podcast: “He’s going to walk away.”

Trump simply lacks the strength to face the crushing defeat headed his way, Carville argues: “He’s a soft man.” A medical expert has also suggested that Trump’s health is ‘getting worse’ after spotting several worrying signs

Concerns have also mounted over Trump’s health, with noticeable signs including drowsiness, swollen ankles, and dark bruises on his hands.

Current projections indicate that the Democrats have a 76.9% chance of securing a majority of seats in the House, a number that has climbed consistently in recent months. The president will bear the brunt of his party’s collapse, Carville says: “They’re going to blame [Trump] – the whole culture is going to change. The whole conversation is going to change.”

Keep in mind that Carville pukes up something and the media runs to him….only because he had some success in the 90s….today he is a grumpy old man that carves attention.

This is a brain fart of an aging pundit that desperately wants to stay in the news so he belches out bullshit every chance he gets.

Does anyone seriously think Donny will give up his stranglehold on the country voluntarily?

I don’t….but what do I know….some aging pundit with more mouth than brains just keeps puking up fanciful bullshit.

There Are Polls And Then There Are Polls

Polls the life sustaining info that pundits live and die by….I personally do not believe half the polls I read (I know I quote them from time to time but I also make it known that I think they are nothing more than a snapshot of the day they are taken).

That brings me to the recent election in Wisconsin where progressive Hong takes on Crowley and since Hong was leading by 20 points it was a major upset when she lost….but was it?

A poll of Los Angeles voters released last week found Mayor Karen Bass leading Councilmember Nithya Raman by a wide and growing margin. Days earlier, a poll of Wisconsin’s Democratic gubernatorial primary showed democratic socialist Francesca Hong walloping Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley by more than 20 percentage points.

There were problems with both.

Crowley went on to comfortably defeat Hong in Wisconsin’s primary. And other polling of the Los Angeles race has shown a much tighter contest between Bass and Raman.

This wasn’t just another case of polling getting it wrong. These polls were fake. So was the polling company.

In response to inquiries from the Los Angeles Times, Median Strategies said it was all a test.

​​“Median Strategies was created as a short term social experiment to examine how purported polling information could enter and spread through the political information ecosystem without independent verification,” the company said in an email to the Times. “We are not seeking publicity or attribution for the individuals involved and are declining interviews.”

The experiment worked, at least to some extent. The California Post reported on the Los Angeles poll, declaring in a now-deleted headline that voters who had supported reality TV star Spencer Pratt in the primary could decide the election for Bass. Her campaign celebrated the results on social media before later deleting the post.

A fake poll made real news. What does that say about political polling?

A test!?  WTF?

Why give false information?

My first thought was to influence betting on the race.

Now we can see why I do not trust polls and then I ask how many others have tried this ‘test’?

The voter should not depend on polls for their information on their decision of a vote.

I will look at any poll results now with skepticism….I had pretty much done that before but now I will take a harder stance.

I listen to the crap being spread by rich pundits telling us why we cannot ask millionaires to foot some of the bills for this nation…..and there are too many that keep trying to sell the old fear of “socialism”….one of the biggest is millionaire Donny Deutsch….he recently let it all hang out on Bill Maher’s show and a gentleman from Denmark has taken exception to his bullshit….and wrote an open letter to Mr. Deutsch…..

I noticed with interest your comments regarding healthcare and wealth on Bill Maher’s show last week. It’s not often that my home country of “f***ing Denmark” gets compared to the United States, let alone so colorfully.

You said: “My grandfather was a cop, ok. My mother was a school teacher and they worked really hard to put me in a position where I can buy the kind of insurance I want . . . If I can’t buy it for my children, we are going backwards. We’re f***ing Denmark.”

We Need New Rules Of Engagement

This is not my take on something foreign policy or one of our many wars….but rather the pundits on the Tube that are doing everything but what we need them to do.

I am an old fart and I always believed that the media should be neutral and give all sides to a story….I was naive back in my early informative years.  Even before corporations could own media outlets (thanx Bill Clinton) outlets were controlled by corporations through advertising dollars….now they just own them outright and their bias is f*cking obvious.

I am think that most pundits are soulless assholes that their principles are for sale to the highest bidder….that is NOT what this post is about…..

Nope!  This opinion is about these pundits, no matter which network they work for, hawking their books and personal appearances…..book signings, band dates, speeches and seminars…..plus most have reverted to their days in Congress….that is work 3 days off 4 with long breaks in between their non-work.

This crap has nothing to do with the news of the day…..pushing their personal books or those of the parents is sad and disgusting.  Pushing their seminars is also.

If they need these things to supplement their pay then maybe they should step back and look at their expenditures….or re-negotiate their very lucrative appearance contracts.

Then there is the subject of the Summer…..that of electability….who can best beat Trump……in other words screw principles it is about the win not the nation.

All that aside…..there are a wealth of ambitious proposals from every candidate…..the problem I have is they never tell me how they will set about getting these plans through the blockade in DC.

Then there is the lying toad of the DNC, Tom Perez, who tells how they try to protect the Dem candidates…and yet they spend millions protect Biden and not so much the other candidates.

We need to get the big money trolls out of the DNC….the Clintonians.

No one acknowledges the partisan crap that is the nation’s capital……no wants to admit that promises are just hollow words thrown at the voter during elections.

When one of these candidates has a plan for getting these programs into action then I shall give them my vote…..but until then……

When you turn your TV on to your favorite news channel you get very little actually news and a whole lot of opinion……and every day a whole line up of experts to ask questions to and allow to give their paid opinion….we see lots of “experts without expertise”……

The strong ratings of the first episode of the revived Roseanne set off an avalanche of commentary. On MSNBC’s Morning Joe, for instance, John Podhoretz, a columnist for the New York Post, called the show’s success a “wakeup call for Hollywood.” Given how well it had done in Middle America, he said, the lesson was clear: for those who serve underserved Donald Trump voters, there are “riches to be reaped.”

Anand Giridharadas, a Brooklyn-based writer and MSNBC analyst, saw a broader truth: “Working-class white people may claim to be against identity politics, but they actually crave identity politics.” They want to be “seen and witnessed” in the same way that women and people of color do. With its glimpses of Maxwell House coffee and kitchen towels stitched with football logos, the show made an effort to pay respect to the details “of a certain demographic’s life.”

This is the problem I have with most news organizations……there are a couple of “fake” experts that give a fake look to several very serious subjects.

Plus there have been terrible comparisons that are nothing more than a variation of “fake news”……

After the justified uproar over pro-Trump Sinclair Broadcast Group forcing its scores of affiliates to humiliate themselves by reading an on-air script condemning “misleading” news, one would think other media outlets would be a little more careful not to mimic such behavior. Nonetheless, MSNBC—which rightfully tore into Sinclair Broadcast (4/2/18) for having its news reporters read off a corporate script—did a toned-down version of the same thing last Friday on Morning Joe (4/20/18).

Comcast corporate forced its nominally independent pundits and news anchors of Morning Joe to air a cultish 8-minute commercial for Comcast’s “Comcast Cares Day,” the lowlight of which was MSNBC host Al Sharpton comparing Comcast to Nelson Mandela:

“This is, I think, the way we can bring the world to where Mandela wanted us, where corporations don’t become expansive and influential just for personal wealth, but for a purpose, so that we have the ability to do good.”

Drain The Swamp!

I know all the Trumpy supporters are thrilled that he is “draining the swamp” in DC as he promised in his campaign rhetoric…..my problem is…..who represents this “swamp”?

Lobbyists?  Bureaucrats? Pundits?  Who are these mystical political players?

My problem with all this manure is that Trump is calling for many “experts” in the different fields to resign and he is replacing them with the very people that make up the “swamp”……

A Trump campaign aide who argues that Democrats committed “ethnic cleansing” in a plot to “liquidate” the white working class. A former reality show contestant whose study of societal collapse inspired him to invent a bow-and-arrow-cum-survivalist multi-tool. A pair of healthcare industry lobbyists. A lobbyist for defense contractors. An “evangelist” and lobbyist for Palantir, the Silicon Valley company with close ties to intelligence agencies. And a New Hampshire Trump supporter who has only recently graduated from high school.

These are some of the people the Trump administration has hired for positions across the federal government, according to documents received by ProPublica through public-records requests.

I am told that “He Won” and to get over it…..I shall do just that when the idiots admit that they were played like cheap drums.

He is not draining the swamp he is just adding new breed of alligator to the mud.

The slogans were amazing….the actions are as dim as a flickering night light.

How politicians, pollsters and media missed Trump’s groundswell

Once again the pollsters and the pundits got it wrong.  In 2012 they had the election a toss up and Obama screamed through to victory and in 2016 they were solidly behind a Clinton win….

Guess what?  They were wrong……….they were slapped down…..again!

They were wrong about all the so-called “battleground” states….Trump swept them…..NO one understood the anger of the American people…..Can you hear them now?

The failure of pollsters, politicians and media to recognize the Trump groundswell was on the level of Dewey defeats Truman.

That is one of the most significant lessons of the 2016 presidential election, in which Donald Trump overcame the doubts of a majority of reporters, pollsters and political scientists who believed Hillary Clinton was headed for a decisive victory.

This should do nothing to instill confidence in the media……and the Dems they had better find a way to connect with the American people or they will be ripe for failure onto of failure……

Sarah….We Thought We Knew Ya

Our past VP candidate has been the butt of many jokes and snarky comments since the election of 2008…..I for one have had my fill of her……but the media still gives her air time and all we can do is ask ……….why?

Back in ’08 there was one person that contacted me before the VP was announced by McCain and he said that it would be Palin…..I got a good chuckle out of it because NO one south of Juneau, Alaska had even heard of a Palin……that person was one Matt Lewis a conserv pundit and he was an avid admirer of hers and promoted her at every turn……7 years later he has had a change of heart…..

Conservative pundit Matt Lewis has been a big Sarah Palin fan from the get-go. In fact, as he explains in the Daily Beast, he was a fan before the get-go—pushing for her as a VP candidate even before John McCain made his pick. Since then, he’s staunchly defended her from critics on the right, and he’s even edited a book of her quotes. Now, however, the party is over. “I got some stuff right, and my position was justifiable at the time, but in hindsight I regret contributing to the premature deification of Sarah Palin,” Lewis writes.

Her recent speech in Iowa—sample line: “‘The Man’ can only ride ya when your back is bent”—was so roundly panned that it feels like “we have finally reached a tipping point where criticizing Palin isn’t only acceptable for conservative opinion leaders, it’s now almost expected.” Lewis’ new view of Palin is that of an “incredibly talented political force” who sold out and squandered any chance of greatness. “And it’s worth considering that maybe her early critics saw some fundamental character flaw—some harbinger of things to come—that escaped me.” Click to read the full column.

Nice to see a pundit like Lewis admit a error in judgement……but that brings up another question…..what took him so long?

Enough Is A Goddamn Enough!

The Paris attacks were all the rage in the media and now that it is all but over it is still all the rage……but now the media is fixated on what they see as anti-Semitism…..pundits like Morning Joe’s Scarborough of MSNBC is completely flabbergasted at the way Europeans are treating the Jews especially in France.  His question is did these people NOT learn anything from the Holocaust and the events that lead to it?

He is a staunch Israel supporter which is okay with me as long as he does not lie or ignore other facts in that support.  Recently he, Scarborough, went on and on about the attacks that have been leveled at Jews since the Paris attacks…..and his crony Mika quoted a few stats about the rise in nationalistic feelings and the anti-Semitism.  Scarborough said that there have been many attacks on Jews especially against synagogues that have led to a security detail to protect Jewish interests in France.

Scarborough is not alone….almost all media outlets, at least the so-called reputable ones, are following suit.

His concern is admirable but he should fixate on ALL attacks on religious minorities….for incidence, since the Paris attacks there has been 21 attacks on mosques in France and 33 threatening letters and yet it is not important enough for these overpaid hacks to mention it.  But 10,000 French troops are used to protect Jewish interests.

Of course the MSM seems to think that the world owes Israel and Jews more protection than other minorities because of World War 2……personally, I think any debt owed Jews for their suffering in WW2 has been paid….and in full.

When will the world realize that Israel is playing on their sympathy and because it works so goddamn well…..Israel gets a free ride….all they have to do is invoke the mantra of security and the world bends over and ignores any action that Israel takes….whether legitimate of not.

Muslims are being treated worse because the perpetrators of the violence claim to be Muslims………and the world ignores their plight  Guilty by association!

ENOUGH IS A GODDAMN ENOUGH!

 

About Damn Time!

I have been bitching about the MSM for years….telling the world that they are nothing but a propaganda arm of the state….their stories are selected to drive the conversation in the direction of the “official” stand of the government.

I have ranted……I have railed…….I have bitched…….and yelled….but to no avail…..it seems that most people take the MSM as the honest brokers of the news……and that my friends is CRAP!

I have also wanted for a long time for someone in the media to grow a set and stand up for what is right….the TRUTH……that the American media is biased and only reports on items that drives American policy and word it so that the listener will believe what is told to them.

I use to respect MSNBC because they at least would have all sides of a question and the pundits to talk on it……I mean they would book liberals, conservatives and even Tea Party members to talk on the subjects.  I said I use to respect them but now that is gone because of a recent occurrence…..because of what action they took they, MSNBC, will NO longer be used by me as a reliable source……..

MSNBC contributor Rula Jebreal took issue with the network’s coverage of the conflict in the Middle East on Monday.

Speaking on Ronan Farrow’s show, she accused MSNBC of covering the Israeli perspective far more than the Palestinian side.

“We are disgustingly biased when it comes to this issue,” said Jebreal, an Italian-Palestinian journalist with dual Italian and Israeli citizenship. “Look how [much] air time Netanyahu and his folks have on air on a daily basis — Andrea Mitchell and others. I never see one Palestinian being interviewed on these same issues —”
