What To Expect With A New Congress

We have a new Congress…… well in January…….. we will begin a whole new chapter of stupid!

NO!  Really what can expect from these gutless wonders?

Me?  I expect some silly, lame ass and outrageous bullshit coming out of the Congress…….

First, one of my fave pieces of right wing BS…Agenda 21

Agenda 21, a two-decade-old non-binding treaty on sustainable development methods, recently emerged as thelatestsourceofright-winganxiety.

Ted Cruz predicted that Agenda 21 will bring an end to paved roads and golf courses and Glenn Beck wrote a dystopian thriller about its dire consequences

Senator-elect Joni Ernst, a Republican of Iowa, shares their fears. Last year, Ernst predicted that Agenda 21 agents may start “moving people off of their agricultural land and consolidating them into city centers and then telling them that you don’t have property rights anymore. These are all things that the UN is behind and it’s bad for the United States, bad for families here in the state of Iowa.”

Second, ISIS streaming across the borders……

Never mind the fact that there have been exactly zeroofficialreports of ISIS members coming to the U.S. via the southern border, “closing the border” has emerged as a leading Republican talking point when describing how they plan to fight the terrorist group.

The conspiracy theory about ISIS infiltrating the U.S. through the border with Mexico first emerged on the conspiracy theory outlet WorldNetDaily and, as these things typically go, was then picked up by pundits on Fox News. Eventually, the fallacious claim became a great way for Republican candidates like David Perdue and Thom Tillis to attack their opponents on both foreign policy and immigration reform in one talking point.

Thirdly, during the blood moon the righties went into “stupid” mode……

While conservative politicians have denounced the science behind climate change as a big lie, some are very interested in the “science” behind “blood moons,” with more Religious Rightactivists arguing that lunar eclipses are actually signs of God’s impending judgment against America for policies such as abortion rights and LGBT equality.

Jody Hice, a Georgia Republican who just won a seat in the U.S. House, for example, told listeners on his talk radio show that the appearance of blood moons “have preceded world-changing, shaking-type events.”

I would be disappointed if the Right overlooked the dangers associated with blood moons….

Four, with the nationwide awakening on gay rights I expect to see more of their lies……

Are sex-ed classes just a secret plot to turn kids gay? Yes, according to Wisconsin state senator and soon-to-be U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman, who once warned that some school classes are the result of an “agenda which is left unsaid is that some of those who throw it out as an option would like it if more kids became homosexuals.”

Grothman instead proposed that schools enact their own “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policies, lest growing support for gay rights in the U.S. lead to divine punishment.

Hice, as it happens, shares Grothman concerns about gay recruitment, once citing a satirical 1987 essay to claim that gay people want to “sodomize your sons” and “seduce them in your schools.”

Number 5……and finally the anti-Christ will be revealed……

At least one Republican candidate knows the true identity of the Antichrist, and it’s Hillary Clinton.

Ryan Zinke, the successful Montana GOP U.S. House candidate who helped launch the Super PAC Special Operations for America,told a Republican group that Clinton is Satan’s bride, and he knows this to be so because he speaks the truth:

There you have an agenda for the far Right wing….God knows they will not be working as a responsible agent of the people………

Cannot Happen Too Soon!

AHHHHHHHHH!  The weekend and some relief from the hum-drum day to day drudge of politics….the sickening aspects of American life…….

There are a few things that we humans find disturbing….like stupidity or how we treat others or cruelty towards animals or….well we all have some things that we find more disturbing than others……for me it is anyone that wants to be a clown…..but that could be a concern that is diminishing……

Good news, coulrophobes: A “national clown shortage” may soon be upon us, the New York Daily News reports. It seems as older clowns are dying, not nearly as many younger clowns are joining the ranks to replace them—leading to a drastic decrease in membership at the country’s biggest clown organizations (yes, those exist) over the past 10 years. Even kids who are into clowns “go on to high school and college and clowning isn’t cool anymore,” explains the president of Clowns of America International. “Clowning is then put on the back burner until their late 40s and early 50s.” “American kids these days are thinking about different careers altogether,” says the president of New York Clown Alley. It probably doesn’t help that clowns usually only make $300, at most, per birthday party performance. And if they have their sights set higher, well, they’ll have a harder time than ever making it to the big leagues: The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, not yet touched by the looming clown shortage, has been making the audition process even more difficult. But at least one clown assures Gothamist there’s nothing to worry about: “There are still a lot of younger people becoming clowns, they’re just not joining the Clowns of America International. It’s more of a generational thing I think. It’s like joining the Shiners club or something like that.”

For me, I am leery of anyone that wants to hide their true identity behind some thick make-up……I immediately think of Gacy or pedophiles….so in my mind this trend cannot end soon enough……

How Much Is That Question?

Damn!  That one cost me another $15!

Wait!  Wait!  You want how much for me to ask you mental midgets a question?

I was here during and after Katrina and in the days after there was a bunch of “price gouging”….you know those a/holes trying to profit out of a disaster?

I will bet that you are a bit confused right about now…..but stay with me….it will all come together shortly…..

In a Gallup Poll of 1,008 adults, only 13 percent approve of the job Congress is doing, tied for the worst on record, according to the Gallup Organization. Eighty-four percent of Americans disapprove, the poll found. That figure is a record high.

The congressional job approval rating is slightly lower among independents at 9 percent, compared with 15 percent among Democrats and 17 percent among Republicans. The 9 percent approval rating for independents is the lowest since 1974 when Gallup began measuring congressional approval.

I know what does that have to do with price gouging, right?  It’s coming!
Once a person is elected to serve the country in Washington….they go to the capital, find an office and go on the government payroll….their pay comes from the taxpayers like you and me.  While reading the news the other day I found one of those stories that makes me stop and ask….WTF?
I found this tidbit on the Newser website……

Tired of being harassed and embarrassed by angry constituents—and, of course, always in need of cash—congressmen such as Paul Ryan, Ben Quayle, and Chip Cravaack are eschewing open town halls and instead are charging for access over this August recess, reports Politico. Questioning Ryan at an upcoming luncheon will cost you $15. Cravaack’s upcoming meeting is a cheaper $10. And lunch with Quayle on Aug. 23 costs $35. A rep for Ryan says the lawmaker will host telephone town hall meetings this month, and adds that Ryan played no part of the Whitnall Park Rotary Club’s choice to charge that $15 entry fee. Writing for Politico, Reid Epstein counters that politicians who outsource their meetings to third parties can keep out the bulk of the angry public, sidestep YouTube embarrassments, and ensure smoother, PR-friendly events that raise a little money to boot. And while such paid events are nothing new, admits Epstein, in the past they were accompanied by free, public town hall meetings.

You mean we pay your salary and we still have to pay to ask you a question because you are tired of being embarrassed at having NO answers for the plight of the American people?  Is that about?

Hold on!  You mean you charge admission for people in your district to meet with you?

Here is where I tie it all together…….since the country is in the middle of a disaster and you are trying to profit, even though minimally, you are criminally responsible for “PRICE GOUGING”!  Because you do not want to do something you are demanding the American people pay for the privileged of asking a civil servant a question.  Is that about it?

You would think that these self-centered little toads would bend over backwards to try and improve their ratings with the American people….I guess the only people they will bend over for are their special interest donors….would that not make them whores by definition?

Is This The Future?

We hear in the media that the young candidates, win or lose, are the future leaders of our country and that we should be paying attention at what they have to say….because they will be the ones making policy…one day…..
