Another Reach For Glory

I hope everyone had a good and enjoyable and  Thanksgiving…..and now the fun begins trying to find the perfect gift for that special person.

If you are participating in Black Friday then I am sorry for your stress.

Now onto more cerebral stuff.

There is a general election on the political horizon and we will have the two corrupt parties and a couple of independents, RFK and West and now the Green Party has a challenger, Jill Stein (Again)….

Polls have shown voter support for someone other than Joe Biden or Donald Trump to be on the president ballot in 2024, and Jill Stein sees that as an opening. A physician who has run before, Stein announced her candidacy to be the Green Party’s presidential nominee on Thursday, saying she wants to “offer people a choice outside the failed two-party system,” the Hill reports. “Democrats have betrayed their promises for working people, youth, and the climate again and again, while Republicans don’t even make such promises in the first place,” Stein said in an announcement video posted on X. She’s not popular with Democrats anyway, per Axios; some say Stein hurt Hillary Clinton’s candidacy in the 2016 election, especially in battleground states, and helped Trump’s.

The candidacies of third-party candidates like Stein and independents like Cornel West and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could complicate the Biden-Trump rematch, per the New York Times. Stein won 1.4 million votes in 2016. She proposed an “economic bill of rights” in her video that would include a guarantee of employment, health care, housing, food, and education. And she anticipated criticism from the major parties. “The political insiders always smear outsiders like us & try to shame voters who want better choices,” Stein posted on X.

She will not get my support…..I fell for her crap on two occasions and I learned my lesson…I rank her in the same league as 2020 candidate, Tulsi Gabbard, will say anything to get some minor support and will champion causes she has NO intention of caring through on.

I am still not in the Dem pot and will most likely vote for an independent….but it is too early to sign on to anyone one candidate.

I just know that Stein is not someone I would trust with my vote…and that is what is important to me….TRUST.

I will continue to evaluate the candidates and will make my announcement a little later.

The “Green New Deal”

This is why I dislike the Dems so much….the Progressives have come up with a plan for a “Green New Deal”………

We understand the problem ― we can’t allow temperatures to rise by more than 1.5 degrees Celsius. The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change gives the world 12 years to make substantial reductions in greenhouse gas emissions to avoid severe climate effects later this century ― including in the United States. The urgency of the situation can’t be overstated.

We have momentum ― incoming Democrats, like Reps.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, are building support for an ambitious climate plan, and more than 15 members of Congress are calling for a select committee with a mandate to draft comprehensive legislation: a Green New Deal. We have the outline of a plan: We need a mass mobilization of people and resources, something not unlike the U.S. involvement in World War II or the Apollo moon missions ― but even bigger. We must transform our energy system, transportation, housing, agriculture and more.

https://www.commondreams.org/views/2018/11/30/we-can-pay-green-new-deal

This is a great idea….the problem is that it is NOT a Dem idea…..this was first proposed 8 years ago by the Green Party USA…….

And if you like facts then read this fact……http://www.gp.org/green_new_deal

But at least I am not alone knowing where this “idea” came from……

This week progressives nationwide are talking about a Green New Deal and, while mainstream media is saying that insurgent Democrats came up with this, we beg to differ! We applaud the efforts of Democrats for finally adopting what the Global Greens began to work on in in 2006 while noting that the delay of 12 years is very significant when it comes to climate change.

The Green Party has been advocating for a massive jobs and public works program to transition our energy infrastructure rapidly over to renewable energy for more than a decade [1]. The project truly began with a Global Greens ‘Green New Deal Task Force’, first formulated in 2006. It was brought into American Green political campaigns by Howie Hawkins when he ran for governor in 2014 [2]. Next Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka highlighted it in their 2016 presidential campaign [3] while many more American Green candidates have run campaigns using it since that time.

https://www.counterpunch.org/2018/11/29/sorry-democrats-the-green-party-came-up-with-the-green-new-deal/

Time to give credit where credit is due….and bring in the people that thought this idea up as part of the team to pass this policy.

To be honest I do love all these grand plans…..knowing that they will probably go nowhere….but it does make good optics and slogans…that be bitchin’

Is She A Russian Stooge?

It was fun watching Clintonians go about character assassination of the Green Party’s Jill Stein….and when we thought it was all over Stein is once again in the news…..this time as part of the Russian meddling investigation….

In her first comments to the press, former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein said she will cooperate fully with the Senate Intelligence Committee’s investigation into “collusion with the Russians” during the 2016 campaign, and is currently searching for relevant documents. Stein denies holding any substantive communications with the Russian government or RT, its state-owned media property.

Stein says her involvement in the inquiry, first reported by BuzzFeed News, came as a surprise when they were first contacted last month. After a subsequent dialogue between attorneys representing Stein and lawyers from the Senate Intelligence Committee, the ex-candidate received a formal request for cooperation. Although she says the possibility of testifying before Congress has not yet been broached, Stein says she would be “happy to do so” if asked.

https://theintercept.com/2017/12/18/jill-stein-will-hand-over-russia-related-communications-to-senate-commmittee/

Since I could not support Clinton and I would hate myself if I voted for Trump Stein was the most logical vote for me…..with that said….if there was any collusion between the Green Party and Russia or any form of meddling in the election then I damn well want to know.  Unlike Trump supporters I refuse to look the other way at these accusations.  I want to know.

Why I Voted Jill Stein For President

The day has finally arrived….maybe this long nightmare of lies and unrealistic promises will come to a close…..but first a little music before you head out……

There is no secret here that I voted for Stein and with every post I have explained why I am not voting for one of the two major players…..I have received push back from some on my choice which does not matter for I made my choice and did what I said I would do…voted for the person that I think would be the best for the country and its people……

With all that said I ran across an article by a person that explained why they were voting for Dr. Jill Stein and in more eloquent words explains the reasons that I chose to do so…….and yes I know that she is a flawed candidate….but to me way less so than the other two……

Keep in mind that this was written during the highly contested primaries…..

A dire prospect I’ve long anticipated became reality last week: Bernie Sanders, the independent Senator from Vermont-turned-Democratic presidential candidate, endorsed Hillary Clinton ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

Even as the system crumbled around them, Sanders’ millions of supporters have done work that’s nothing short of miraculous. Their fight against the party establishment and that establishment’s friends in the corporate media brought Sanders closer to victory than many thought possible and heightened awareness around crucial issues like economic inequality and the corruption of our democracy.

To continue to force the gears of political change to turn, we can’t just hold our noses and vote for Clinton or sit this one out and wait another four years for a revolution.

The one leading indicator for me was when Jill Stein promises to re-invest the billions wasted on America’s foreign policy into job creation and universal healthcare.

I am pleased with my vote….are you?

(via Twitter)

I’m headed out now to see what is happening at the polls around my area….a bit of rain for the first time in 75 days…..gonna be messy out.

Think Green For The Future

If you are worried about the trajectory of this country….then take the title seriously…….

It is less than two months from the election…..it is time for the voter to pull their head out of their butt and pick a candidate….one that has the best interest of the country at heart….

Yes, I know…..I was a supporter of Bernie Sanders at least originally…..he was a progressive choice to support against the neocon Clinton……and I sure as Hell was not going to support anything on the GOP side….a biggest bunch of egocentric crack pots on the planet.

But in case you have any misconceptions about Bernie……

New aggregated poll data from hundreds of polls nationwide have delivered Clinton and Trump the lowest favorable ratings of presidential candidates since polls began 30 years ago.

Clinton’s favorability rating has slumped to 41% among all eligible voters, according to the Huffington Post, while Trump’s remains steady at a low 36%.

Sanders meanwhile has surged to his highest favorable rating of the election season. His 53.4% favorable rating is so far ahead of both candidates it suggests that he would trounce them both and win the election in a landslide if it was held today.

Now that Bernie has decided to drink the “unity” kool-aid and endorse Clinton I have to find an alternative……and now I am thinking Green……

If you are a true progressive and do not know what to do this election…then maybe a look at a good alternative will help……

We are grassroots activists, environmentalists, advocates for social justice, nonviolent resisters and regular citizens who’ve had enough of corporate-dominated politics. Government must be part of the solution, but when it’s controlled by the 1%, it’s part of the problem. The longer we wait for change, the harder it gets. Don’t stay home on election day. Vote Green.

The Green Party candidate for president is Dr. Jill Stein….she is a progressive and a person that actually has a vision for the United States…..unlike our two major party candidates…..

I recently read a good debate on why us progressives should not support Clinton in her bid…..

After a tension-filled opening day of the Democratic National Convention that saw Senator Bernie Sanders endorse his former rival Hillary Clinton, we host a debate between Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein and Ben Jealous, former NAACP president and CEO and a Bernie Sanders surrogate.

Source: Jill Stein vs. Ben Jealous: Should Progressives Reject Hillary Clinton & Vote Green? | Democracy Now!

She made, to my mind, excellent reason why we should run from the candidacy of Hillary Clinton…..

There is still time for you, the voter, to check out a real alternative to the raging bullshit of the two major parties……

After listening to Dr. Stein at the townhall on CNN she said one thing that made my choice easy….

Americans who tuned into CNN’s Green Party town hall last night were exposed to political ideas and analyses that are rarely given airtime on mainstream news networks.

Moderated by CNN host Chris Cuomo, the town hall allowed people in the audience to ask questions of Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and her running mate Ajamu Baraka.

An audience member identifying herself as a US army veteran expressed dismay at Stein’s support for the Palestinian-led boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement that seeks to hold Israel accountable for ongoing human rights abuses against Palestinians.

“Why do you single out Israel being that they are a democratic ally to us?” she asked, reciting a standard pro-Israel talking point. “Why don’t you do the same for other Middle Eastern States, many of which are committing horrific crimes and abuse of people?”

Finally a candidate that does not kiss Israeli ass!

THINK GREEN!  That is unless you are one of those that lets others make up your mind for you……then….never mind!

Is The U.S. Green Party Irrelevant?

A good question…..and the answer is yes….not because of the issues but rather because the media does not want to gum up the system with more than two parties……and because the 2 parties do not want to relinquish their strangle hold on the political system.

This piece covers the history and the directions of the two Green Parties, Germany and USA…..(a historical perspective and thank you)

In countries like Germany, the Green Party wields real power. But in America, not so much.

Many Americans value environmental protection and want to see more of it. But Jill Stein, the Green Party presidential candidate, is drawing only 1 to 3 percent in recent polls, even in an election where many voters dislike the major candidates and are looking for alternatives.

Stein certainly has worked to differentiate herself from the two major party candidates. In July she asserted that electing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton—probably the choice of most pro-environment voters—would “fan the flames of … right-wing extremism,” and be as bad as electing Donald Trump.

Source: Why Is the U.S. Green Party So Irrelevant? | New Republic

The media would have to actually report political news if there were more than the 2 parties…instead of driving the conversation and being used as a propaganda tool.

The system has kept the Green Party from its rightful place in American politics…..work must be done if we are to ever move past the domination of the wealthy in our politics….

Nothing irrelevant about the Green Party…..just worthless diatribes and recriminations by the political elites……

Do the country a favor and at least check out the party before you vote.  The US deserves a party of the common people….Dems have long since relinquished that mantle……why not the Green Party-US?

Do NOT believe the hype…the Green Party is relevant and much needed.

The Real Reason Millennials Are Going Green(Party)

5 days to do the right thing and vote for a candidate that actually stands for change…….or you can just be part of the problem of this vicious cycle….your choice.

This time around the young are more likely than not to vote other than the 2 major parties……I know…..both parties are claiming a growing support but I just do not see it….

I voted Green and there seems to be a growing like for the Green Party and Dr. Stein……she has opined an op-ed about these voters….

OPINION | Millennials like Green stances on debt, healthcare, the economy and more.

Young people are planning to break from the two-party system in unprecedented numbers this year. Their discontent is real: one May 2016 poll showed 91 percent of voters under age 29 wanted an independent challenger to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Media pundits have reacted harshly toward these young rebels, especially those supporting me and Ajamu Baraka, who as progressive Green candidates are constantly framed as taking votes from Clinton.

But instead of attacking our young voters, why not ask what’s motivating them to vote outside the two-party box? They’re well aware of the conventional wisdom that they should vote for the “lesser evil,” which the media has beaten into them for months. What few pundits have been willing to admit is that for many young people, voting Green is not a whim but a well-considered decision.

Source: Jill Stein op-ed: The real reason millennials are going Green | TheHill

My question is……has these young voters really seen through the BS that the media feeds them?

I hope so for we truly need the change that everyone wants but is too afraid to vote for it…..instead they vote for slogans and platitudes and in the end they are left holding the same bunch of corrupt individuals…….and a burning desire for change…..a pathetic cycle that needs breaking…..

A Good Year to Go Green (Party)

In case you are counting…..6 days to go…..

I am told by many that I am farting in the wind with the Green Party….but I cannot in good conscience vote for a murdering cow or an ego-centric toad….but that is just me.

This election has shown that the two party system is worthless for they do not represent the people’s desires……instead they run for office on fears and insecurities…..

Sadly most will not take that into consideration before they vote….they will trot down and vote the way the media wants them to vote….they will do as they are told.

Most are proud that they are “independent” but that is a con job….they will inevitably vote for one of the two major parties….that makes them undecided not independent.

Jill Stein Green Party

The major candidates are worthless and the worse possible examples for us to follow…but we, the voter, have other choices…..sad part is that most of the country is too timid or brainwashed to vote for a better person…..and there are MUCH better persons in this election.

We were treated to a double “October surprise” on Friday, Oct. 7.

The video of Donald Trump crowing that his celebrity status entitles him to assault women slightly eclipsed Hillary Clinton‘s leaked speeches. But we still learned that Clinton holds “public and private positions,” that her populist promises regarding free trade, preserving Social Security, and checking the power of Wall Street probably won’t survive Inauguration Day.

Millions of voters have figured out that the two major parties don’t represent them. They’re right. It’s not a two-party system, it’s a two-party racket.

They’re frustrated with a choice that, we’re told, is limited to two nominees with deep disapproval ratings. Voter dissatisfaction is reflected in polls that show broad support for a choice of more than two on the ballot.

Source: A Good Year to Go Green (Party) | TheHill

You DO have a choice…..why not exercise that choice and send a message?  Voting for either of the Big Two is NOT sending a message….it is more like coping out!

If you are dumb enough to vote major parties then do NOT bitch about it after the election…it was your choice and YOU FUCKED IT UP!  PERIOD!

Don’t Settle For The Lesser Of Two Evils

I have been bitching about the two candidates that we here in this country have to choose from for our next president……that is only true in the minds of the two worthless candidates….we Americans have other choices…..all we have to do is look for them.

Me?  I look at the issues and so far the issues are non-existent in the two major parties……instead of substance we have a silly reality show of insults and lies……….

For me the Green party offers the only alternative to a noxious buffoon on the one hand, and a representative of the corporate and military status quo on the other.

Donald Trump’s self-inflicted wounds and propensity for public meltdowns had pushed the public-opinion needle toward Hillary Clinton, according to recent polls. That may have changed a little in the aftermath of the FBI’s renewing of its email probe last week. But even so, the fears of many voters that a Donald Trump presidency might become a reality have abated.

Those fears are not unfounded. Trump’s failings as a candidate and a person are manifest, and he would be in a position to wreak considerable havoc if elected. That’s especially true at the agency level, with the judiciary and in other arenas where the president can wield executive power. The wildcard aspect of his personality poses risks that can’t be predicted, nor can anyone know the degree to which congress would be inclined to obstruct or approve his most damaging initiatives.

If you truly care about your country then for God’s sake do some research and find a party and a candidate that will work to better the nation….not some toad that is on an ego trip.

Vote2016: Dr. Jill Stein On The Issues

I am always saying that I am thinking Green for this election…..I would rather marry a head of lettuce than vote for either GOP or Dem candidate…

I will show why I support Dr. Stein in her bid for the presidency……of course I do not agree with everything she has on the issues……but they are a damn sight better than either of the other two……

China

The United States should stop isolating and intimidating China, including in the East and South China Seas, where Beijing has territorial disputes with its neighbors, Stein said in July 2016. She says that if the United States made deep cuts to its military, China could follow suit and then both countries could redirect those savings toward converting their economies to green energy, which she says is needed to address the global warming crisis.

Read on…her international positions on the important issues in this election…..
