Ralph Nader Interviews Jill Stein

This press is from a fellow WP blogger, Dandelion Salad…..a very informative site if one cares to visit….

This election is the worst reality show on TV….but for some unknown reason the American people cannot see past the 2 clowns in the car…..

There are two other candidates in this fight…..Johnson for the Libertarians and Dr. Stein for the Greens…..

This is an interview about defense spending and defense policies…..

After reading this someone will go on some rant about the military and yada yada yada…….but the US still spends more than most other countries combined….

A few weeks ago the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute released its annual yearbook, which assesses the current state of armaments, disarmament, and international security in the world. One point of focus is world military expenditure.

According to SIPRI, in 2015 US military spending fell by 2.4% compared with 2014. It was the fifth consecutive year of decline, though it was one of the lowest annual rates of reduction since 2010, the year in which SIPRI recorded the highest-ever level of US spending. This year is expected to mark a rise in spending.

Hate to tell you this but without fighting every war around this country would not need to spend so much….but that would make the defense contractors stroke out ……and we cannot have that….now can we?

If you are looking for a place for your vote then please consider the Green Party…..look at their platform.

The Wholesale Failure of American Foreign Policy

I have been writing for a long time about the failure of American foreign policy….the only action we know is to attack some where or someone…..

We have NO plan short of using our ordinances so that the industry can make even more money replacing the spent weapons……

One has to wonder just how much longer the American people will silently permit the categorical failure of American foreign policy, both in theory and in practice. The evidence confirming the totality of our failure is breathtaking in scope and severity. Changes are needed to preserve U.S. national security and economic prosperity.

Recent headlines have captured the character of this failure. Fifteen years after the invasion of Afghanistan, the Special Inspector General for Afghan Reconstruction (SIGAR) released findings that “corruption substantially undermined the U.S. mission in Afghanistan from the very beginning of Operation Enduring Freedom. … We conclude that failure to effectively address the problem means U.S. reconstruction programs, at best, will continue to be subverted by systemic corruption and, at worst, will fail.”

I think that the first presidential debate illustrated just how far down the rabbit hole our foreign policy has traveled…….during the final section on national security their answers sounded like something a 10 year old made up ……

Although Hillary seemed more likable than usual in the first presidential debate and Trump was his old angry and agitated self, they both still have record-breaking unfavorable ratings as candidates. Yet that is because overwhelmingly, people just don’t like their normal personalities. And sadly, most voters never get beyond a superficial grasp of their policy differences. They just know that Hillary has many years of public experience and represents the status quo and have a vague notion that Trump, who has none, wants to shake up the system. Yet a closer examination of their policy stances in foreign affairs should likely lead voters to the same place – both candidates stink.

Our world will be fighting conflicts for generations to come and we need a president that can think outside the “bombs” box……instead we will get a leader that thinks that wart is the answer to all the world’s problems.

That is unless the voter listens to a Libertarian, Ron Paul, and supports Dr. Jill Stein of the Green Party……

Paul, who himself was the Libertarian nominee in 1988 and ran as a Republican primary candidate on several subsequent occasions, said he actually prefers Green Party nominee Jill Stein on important issues like civil liberties and foreign policy.

“She’s probably the best on foreign policy at the moment,” Paul said,

Ron Paul suggests support for Jill Stein

I am a supporter of a 3rd Party candidate, Jill Stein of the Green Party.

The Libertarian Party candidate, Gary Johnson is polling better than Stein…if true then the US is more center-Right than the media wants to acknowledge…plus I cannot understand the popularity of this candidate.

The Green Party foreign policy is more in line with my thoughts than the Libertarians even though they are all for non-intervention….Johnson is just a moron on foreign policy……I cannot support him.

Looks like I am not alone.

Even hard-core Libertarian Ron Paul will be supporting Dr. Stein……

“She’s probably the best on foreign policy at the moment,” Paul said of the Green Party nominee on Monday

Former Texas congressman Ron Paul, a longtime hero of the libertarian right, surprised many on Monday when he told MSNBC that he has no plans to back Libertarian Party presidential nominee Gary Johnson.

Paul, who himself was the Libertarian nominee in 1988 and ran as a Republican primary candidate on several subsequent occasions, said he actually prefers Green Party nominee Jill Stein on important issues like civil liberties and foreign policy.

“She’s probably the best on foreign policy at the moment,” Paul said, stressing that he hasn’t endorsed anyone for president yet.

Ron Paul may be voting for Dr. Jill Stein…..maybe now you alternate voters will take notice…..the key is Paul’s statement…….“She’s probably the best on foreign policy at the moment,” Paul said……..can you hear me now?

If a Right leaning politician can see that Stein is the better candidate….why can;t you?

THINK GREEN!

Dr. Jill Stein– Rebel With a Cause

As an ex-rebel myself I am always impressed by people that stand up for what they believe….in 2016 that person is Dr. Jill Stein……

The first inkling that she was a person that would not shrink from confrontation…..

If the man won’t let Jill Stein participate in Monday’s presidential debate, then Jill Stein will just hold her own debate. Politico reports the Green Party candidate will hold a “Let Jill Debate” protest outside the first showdown between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton at Hofstra University in New York then follow it with a “People’s Debate” on social media. Earlier in the week, the Stein campaign had mulled having 100 supporters risk arrest in an attempt to “escort” their candidate onto the debate stage, according to the Guardian. Neither Stein nor Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson were polling high enough—the cutoff is 15% nationally—to qualify for the debate. Johnson says he’ll be watching the debate and live-tweeting it.

Then on the night of the first presidential debate she made good on her threat…..

Green Party candidate Jill Stein was removed from the Hofstra University campus for the second election in a row on Monday. Stein—who was arrested before a presidential debate in 2012—was met by police and campus security after she boarded a media bus to the university ahead of the Hillary Clinton-Donald Trump debate and USA Today reporter Eliza Collins tweeted about it. Stein had planned to hold a “Let Jill Debate” protest outside the event, which she and Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson were excluded from.

Officials say Stein was removed because she didn’t have the proper credentials. “She was on the college campus, we asked to verify for proper credentials, she did not have them, and she was nicely escorted off the campus,” a police spokeswoman tells CNN. Stein went on to live-tweet the debate, offering her own answers, as well as lines like: “I’d be terrified with Trump’s finger on the button but I’d also be terrified with Clinton’s finger on the button.” Johnson also live-tweeted the Hofstra debate. “Neither of these candidates is willing to stand up for free trade. Why am I not at these debates?” he wondered.

Good for her!

Personally I feel that parties that give candidates at every election should be included….especially those with national attention regardless of the poll numbers.

There should be an independent group that controls the debates…..the media is NOT a good source of unbiased BS…….there should be a switch that cuts the candidate off when they digress into campaign posturing….issues only needs to be the rule.

Jill Stein on U.S. Policy in the Mideast

My regular readers know that I am thinking Green and that I firmly believe that foreign policy will be the most telling of issue in this election….

I have written extensively about the positions of the two major candidates and their issues on foreign policy….but I have written very little on the stands of the Green Party candidate, Dr. Jill Stein……and then I found an interview with her on this subject…..

The foreign policy positions of third-party candidates haven’t received a great deal of media attention in the 2016 presidential election, but that could change in the weeks ahead as polls continue to tighten in crucial battleground states.

“[M]ost voters think/assume that Clinton is going to win. That can de-motivate turnout, or shift votes to [third] parties,” tweeted elections analyst Nate Silver.

RealClearWorld had the opportunity this week to discuss a variety of foreign policy issues with Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein. This email interview has been edited for clarity and length.

Nothing in this interview would change my mind on Dr. Stein…..her answers to the few questions were commonsense answers that I can live with….

Voters need to look at all aspects of their candidates positions….just to follow someone because of rhetoric is sheer lunacy…..look what it has wrought in the last 50 years…..

These may not make sense to you….but to anyone that knows about international relations they make perfect sense and are positions that could end many of the conflicts we do NOT need.

That’s it for today my friends…I am off to lecture…..will be back tomorrow….

Why Your Third-Party Vote Is Not Wasted

The key word in the title is N-O-T!

As I predicted I have been hit with a bit of a BS thing when people learn that I am leaning for an alternative candidate….in my case it is Dr. Jill Stein of the Green Party.

I have been getting the usual cowardly predictions of doom and gloom if I vote that way….or that I am crazy for not following the sheep and voting for one of the worthless candidates we have this time.  I vote for issues and principles…I care NOTHING for rhetoric.

First let me say…BITE ME!  It is my vote and I will give it to whoever I want.  Plus I refuse to let some nose picking ass scratcher dictate to me when it comes to voting.

If Americans truly cared about their country then they would research what is best before voting….but they had rather let some mental midget like Alex Jones or a handful of MSM pundits tell them where to place their vote.

It was in George Washington’s Farewell Address that he warned political parties would be “potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people, and to usurp for themselves the reins of government.”

This is exactly what’s happened as both parties serve moneyed interests rather than the will and the common good of the American people.

According to Pew Research, in the 2000 Presidential election cycle, 29 percent of voters were Independent. Gallup’s most recent poll brings that percentage up to a stunning 42 percent, compared to 26 percent Republicans and 29 percent Democrats.

Source: Independents Decide 42% Of The Vote. Why Your Third-Party Vote Is Not Wasted – Collective Evolution

If the voter truly wanted to “Make America Great Again” then they would spend more time learning about the candidates and less time bending over for their masters.  They could see the flaws and see the weaknesses….but sadly they cannot see past some vague message that has nothing to do with their governing style.

For me issues are far more important than the platitudes I am giving by the major candidates….I do NOT fall for slogans……I want to see answers to the important questions of our time…..so far I got NOTHING from the 2 “biggies”…

You vote for the idiots….I will vote for solutions…..whether they win or not.

Jill Stein Should Be America’s First Female President

I admit it…I am thinking Green for this election….I cannot find one thing that I like about the two major candidates…..one is a loud-mouth and the other a consummate liar…..

Unlike most voters I am not afraid of a 3rd party candidate……and the best one this election is one Dr. Jill Stein.

It is interesting to see how I am getting push back for the bobble-heads on the Right…these are the same people that hate the “establishment” in DC bit will vote for someone to go there and”change” things….(pause here for raucous laughter)…….the whole superiority of the 2 party thing is just pathetic!

Like I said I am thinking Green and here is why……

Dr. Stein at least has principles…..something that other woman cannot say…..

Think Green!

A Conversation With Green Party Nominee Dr. Jill Stein

Listen up people!  There are more candidates in the 2016 election than the two that the media wants you to know…..

There is Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party

And the more original candidate… Green Party’s Dr. Jill Stein……

Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein joined On Point to make her case for new politics and new policies.

We talk to Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein. She makes the case for new politics, new policies.

As Bernie Sanders was at the Democratic convention in Philadelphia beseeching his backers to throw their support to Hillary Clinton or risk a Donald Trump presidency, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was outside with another message: Don’t compromise. Vote for me. Vote for a Green New Deal. Stein wants college debt forgiveness, free tuition, Medicare for all and an emergency transition to green energy, food, transportation. Spend some time and learn about the candidates and do yourself and your country a favor and vote GREEN!  We have had enough manure in the White House!

Jill Stein Should Be Part of a 4-Way Presidential Debate

It is only a matter of weeks before we have our first debate between the Mouth and The Warmonger….but to be fair there should be two other candidates in this debate…Gary Johnson and Dr, Jill Stein……

If a candidate is on the state’s ballot then they should be part of the process…..polling should have nothing to do with the debates…..

After the Republicans and Democrats finished their conventions in late July, the Green Party gathered this month to nominate Dr. Jill Stein for the presidency.

fter the Republicans and Democrats finished their conventions in late July, the Green Party gathered this month to nominate Dr. Jill Stein for the presidency. Stein’s campaign—with her party on ballot lines in the majority of states, and her poll numbers surging ahead of Green numbers from recent presidential elections—has the potential to be a breakthrough bid for the Greens, and for a more robust democracy.

Stein recognized the prospect in an optimistic yet urgent acceptance speech in which she spoke of “unstoppable momentum for transformational change.” The candidate who talks of ushering in a “Green New Deal” told the Green Party Convention that the party has “an historic opportunity, an historic responsibility to be the agents of that change. As Martin Luther King said, ‘the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.’ I know that arc is bending in us, and through us. And we are actors in something much bigger than us as we struggle for justice, for peace, for community, for healing.”

This would be fair and balanced….but we all know that the political process has nothing to do with “fair and balanced”……and the media will not do the right thing….they want to be the “king maker”…..so qualified candidates will not be part of the debates..

Everyone these days see the problems with this system and yet they do NOTHING to see it changed……debates with all qualified candidates would go a long way to help change occur…..

Stein and Johnson have earned the right to be part of this process…..

Please Vote for the Lying Neoliberal Warmonger

The plea of the worthless Democrats…..they have caved on the idea of limited interventionism…..this will NOT make America safer!

Normally I do not pay much attention to the US elections….they are so boring and mundane that it is just a waste of my time….but this year, 2016, has been a completely different horse all together….as the general creeps closer and closer….there are a couple of things that need to be considered.

Our choices are a divisive candidate and a war hawk which is more neocon than Dem……fascinating choices indeed….

I have read many opinion pieces both pro and con….as an anti-war person I can safey say that neither of these two candidates will get my vote but beyond that many are seeing it as a necessity to elect the war hawk over the…..I’m not sure what to call the other…..

An explanation for why defeating Donald Trump—despite what we know about Hillary Clinton—should be the left’s primary national electoral objective this November

In 1991, former Klansman and American Nazi Party functionary David Duke ran for governor of Louisiana and made the runoff election against Democrat Edwin Edwards, the popular but scandal-plagued three-term former governor. Duke had made the runoff between the two top vote-getters since no one received a majority in the first primary. Duke had received just over 31% of the vote in the first primary, and Edwards had just over 33% in a twelve-person field.

I do not agree…..that is just a long way of saying “vote for the best of two evils”…..I will not do that……She is not acceptable to me for one good reason……

The modern Democratic Party has had a potent anti-war wing since Eugene McCarthy called for a swift withdrawal from Vietnam during the 1968 primary. Democratic anti-war highlights in this millennium include California Rep. Barbara Lee’s opposition to the 2001 Afghanistan invasion, the 126 House Democratic votes against the Iraq War resolution in 2002 and Howard Dean’s 2004 campaign.

Unfortunately, Hillary Clinton does not follow in this tradition, leaving Democrats who want to “give peace a chance” a difficult choice in November.

Just what this country needs another GW war hawk running foreign policy.  (Sarcasm intended)

And to show where her, Clinton, mind will be if elected…..

In an interview, Paul Wolfowitz, 72, an advisor to former President Bush, discusses the dangers of a Donald Trump presidency, why he will likely vote for the Democrat’s candidate this year and mistakes made during the Iraq war.

You should remember this warwonger for he and Cheney and Rumsfield were the cheerleaders that convinced GW into the 2003 Iraq invasion and we know that turned out….now don’t we?

I will NOT vote for this woman…….I will search for an alternative……….I’m thinking Green!
